The Redhawks are a feeder system to the WCBL and Brian worked under former MLB catcher Kelly Stinnett for the first couple of years. This week Sam Cosentino of Rogers Sportsnet was our guest and we went back in time to discuss his favourite and not favourite (made a major error in 1986) players from his time as a visiting clubhouse guy for the Blue Jays, as well as who he would like to face on the mound or at the plate in the history of baseball.
Sam Cosentino is usually covering the CHL, but the Rogers Sportsnet hockey analyst has a long and terrific history with baseball. From his time as a club house attendant for visiting MLB teams to Toronto to calling Blue Jays and Expos games with some college baseball in between. We also touched on the restrictions if MLB returns to action this year.
From Phoenix to Nanaimo with a stop in Arkansas in between Nick Salahub is now the Head Coach at Vancouver Island University, a program Jordan used to run. Dean and Jordan also discussed the future of the WCBL and MLB seasons.

We caught up with Ari Shapiro who's in Toronto covering the Blue Jays. How would he describe the season and when might we see playoffs again in Toronto? We dove into the past, present and future with Ari as well as took a look ahead at the playoffs for other clubs in MLB.
The Okotoks Dawgs are the WCBL champs and they also went through a similar stadium situation when they were in Calgary, which led them to build their own stadium and move to Okotoks. It's a timely story as the Prospects are facing a similar situation in Edmonton right now.

The Prospects were perfect though a marathon weekend of 6 games in 3 days including a triple header on Saturday and they clinched a playoff spot with a win on Monday, they now take a 7 game win streak in the post season. We chatted with pitching coach Austin Guzzo about managing his staff through so much baseball. Jordan and Dean debated the best Starting Pitcher of all time and we have free tickets for this Friday's game up for grabs!!!
Dean and Jordan were joined by Madison Willan, an up and coming power hitting middle infielder with Canada's National Team. She's also a dynamic hockey player and a pretty good golfer, in other words a great role model. We also chatted about the best RP of all time and recapped yesterday's HOF ceremony for MLB.
Outfielder Tanner Roundy is multitalented as he can play CF and pitch as well, and Prospects Head Coach Jordan Blundell called him the best CF he's coached. Tanner also told us a touching story about losing a great friend in a tragic shooting and playing the day with something pretty incredible taking place.
We wrapped up the WCBL All Star Game with the guy who closed it out, RP David Wylie of the Prospects was one of 4 players to take part in the game. Dean and Jordan looked back and ahead to the MLB mid summer classic and we debated the best catchers of all time.
