When 49ers rookie cornerback Upton Stout was selected in the third round of the 2025 NFL draft, his first phone call with the organization went viral. He showed a charisma and passion in that first interaction that has carried over onto the field. Stout will start at nickel Saturday vs. the Seahawks in the NFC divisional round of the NFL playoffs, a far cry from the hills of Western Kentucky where he started making a name for himself. On this episode of "49ers Talk," Matt Maiocco sits down with the determined rookie to reflect on what motivates him to be successful, his biggest adjustment since becoming a professional and what a return of Fred Warner would mean to this team and special season. Matt also joins co-host Jennifer Lee Chan to discuss the news that Fred Warner was officially ruled out for Saturday's playoff game, as well as injury updates on WR Ricky Pearsall's status and other limited players. The duo discuss the impact Warner's presence at practice has had on the team this week, and how Seahawks QB (and former 49ers backup) Sam Darnold's lack of success in big games will follow him throughout his career unless he can turn it around; an apparent oblique injury won't help that cause.--(0:00) Discussion around Fred Warner being ruled out for the divisional round of the NFL playoffs(4:00) Even though he's not going to play, he's going to travel with the team to Seattle -- why Warner being there will positively affect the team(8:00) How Pearsall looks on the practice field, if he plays he won't be 100%, not until his PCL is more healed(10:00) The 49ers are the biggest underdog (+7) of all the divisional playoff games this weekend, they like being in this position(15:00) Upton Stout Interview(20:00) What gave Stout confidence to compete at this level, what did he learn at Western Kentucky to help him achieve that(23:00) How Stout has been quieting doubters his whole career, motivated to earn respect of the league(36:00) Sam Darnold's lack of past success in the playoffs will follow him throughout his career unless he starts winning in big games Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. Mike, Ali, and Mike discuss if there was hesitation from other teams during the draft process with Michael Penix Jr. because of his injury history, how Mike feels about the Falcons matchup with the New Orleans Saints on Sunday, what open head coaching jobs there might be around the NFL once the season ends, if Mike thinks the Buffalo Bills are dependent on their quarterback Josh Allen outsourcing other teams to win, who Mike thinks the best teams in the NFL is right now, how Mike feels about the Denver Broncos, if Mike thinks the Broncos are legit contenders, if the NFL found some type of video that proved Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Ja'Marr Chase did in fact spit on Pittsburgh Steelers cornerback Jalen Ramsey, and what Mike thinks about New York Giants rookie edge rusher Abdul Carter getting benched for one series on Sunday because he slept through the team's walkthrough.

Send us a text if you want to be on the Podcast & explain why!Nicholas: Tik Tok Crag Monkey FitnessReady for a blunt look at what actually makes a great trainer? We sit down with Nicholas, a new coach who passed a major certification, stepped onto the gym floor, and realized the test didn't prepare him to handle real clients with pain, limitations, and shifting goals. His turnaround came from mentorship, relentless anatomy study, and the discipline to plan, pivot, and communicate clearly—all before chasing trends or complicated gear.We walk through his path from music major to fitness coach, the early shock of seeing clients arrive injured from unstable programming, and the mindset shift from “gain experience” to “earn competence.” Nicholas breaks down how he studied the knee—ACL, PCL, MCL, LCL, supporting musculature—and used simple tools like a cable machine and a plyo box to design safe, effective sessions for a client who couldn't stand comfortably. Along the way, we cover the sales psychology that keeps training human: framing questions that respect autonomy, building trust through clear plans, and measuring progress clients can feel in daily life. You'll leave with a blueprint for faster growth: find a mentor, study one joint at a time, master regressions and progressions, choose a gym environment that lets you coach well, and skip the gimmicks. We share concrete strategies for retention, client assessment, and building your pipeline when you're new and hungry. If you've ever wondered why a shiny badge doesn't equal real-world skill—or how to bridge that gap with smart, ethical coaching—this conversation gives you the steps and the confidence to do it.If this resonated, follow the show, share it with a coach who needs a nudge, and leave a review to help more trainers find practical, no-fluff guidance.Want to ask us a question? We compare and contrast three different knee injuries, ACL, PCL and multi-ligament knee injuries commonly the result of a knee dislocation. The spring board for this conversation being the gruesome injury sustained by Tyreek Hill on national television on Monday Night Football. Those injuries are not just difficult to watch, they can be devastating. They are not uncommonly associated with nerve injuries (drop foot) and, even worse, occasionally vascular injuries potentially resulting in amputation.

Send us a textImagine fixing a fracture with a steady hand and a smart pen. We open the lab door on a handheld “bone printer” that lays down bio‑ink directly at the injury site, promising faster healing, fewer imaging steps, and the chance to customize strength and shape in minutes. If you've ever waited days for scans and fabrication, the appeal is obvious: hydroxyapatite to encourage bone growth, PCL as a biocompatible scaffold that melts at low heat, cools fast, and slowly yields to living tissue. Early tests on rabbit femurs outperformed bone cement and showed no infections over 12 weeks, and the potential to embed antibiotics or growth factors hints at on‑the‑spot, personalized implants that could transform orthopedics, trauma care, and remote medicine. Then we pivot from bones to benevolence with one big question: do pets change how people give? Using a decade of 787,877,198 donation transactions, we map the patterns. Non‑pet owners tend to donate larger totals, yet pet owners give more frequently, keeping support flowing between big gifts. Cat owners spread donations across more causes and contribute more overall than dog owners, while dog people still outpace non‑owners in cadence. A machine‑learning model puts pet ownership as the fourth strongest predictor of giving—behind income, education, and gender—suggesting pets reflect social ties and daily acts of care that nudge generosity. We also unpack identity signals and what they mean for smarter, kinder fundraising that respects budgets and habits. It's a journey from bio‑materials to behavioral data, but the throughline is practical empathy: tools that speed healing, and insights that make community support steadier and more inclusive. If you enjoy science that touches daily life—medicine you can hold, and generosity you can measure—this one's for you.Our all links to social media and more!Support the showFor Science, Empathy, and Cuteness!Being Kind is a Superpower.https://twitter.com/bunsenbernerbmd

As a result, her elite season has sadly come to an end, and her NCAA season is now uncertain, depending on how her recovery progresses. This obviously wasn't the way we planned to start the episode, but we wanted to share that important update, especially since the interview includes discussions about her goals and plans for the remainder of the season. That said, we're still thrilled to share this conversation with you. We've been longtime fans of Jennifer's beautiful gymnastics, and this interview offers great insight into her journey so far — including highlights from her 2025 season, why she chose Stanford, and her ambitions to compete at the LA 2028 Olympics.Thank you to our monthly Patreon supporters: Lee B, Cookiemaster, Christa, Happy Girl, Erica S, Semflam, Amy C, Maria L, Becca S, Cathleen R, Faith, Kerry M, M, Derek H, Martin, Sharon B, Randee B, MSU, Kimberly G, Robert H, Lela M, Mara L, Jenna A, Alex M, Mama T, Kelsey, Lidia, Maria P, Alicia O, Cristina K, Bethany J, Diane J, Kentiemac, Marni S, Betny T, Emily C, Cathy D, Lisa T, Libby C, Thiago, Taryn M, Dana B, Jamie S, Chuck C, Je_GL, Kaitlin, Susan P, Katertot, Mallory D, LFC_Hokie, Ella, Debbie, Megan F, Kay, Diane J, Julie B,, Austin K, Jane, Sarah, Amy, Stephen S, Johanna T, Alison S, Kristina T, Abigail W, Becky, Ola S, Jennifer K, Kate M, Claudia, Erin L, Sarah A, Kennedy B, Thomas B, Kihika N, Beth C, Amy, Renee PM, Ryan V, Brandon H, Tyler, Hayley B, Ben S, Kate & Landon, Danielle, ALittleUnderRotated, Dana C, Grace, Pat G , Lexi G, Laura N, Kathy, Katie A, Ruby B,, Róisín, Becca, Megan J, Emily D, Britton, Ry Shep, Reyna G, William A, MB, MJ L, Jackson G, Brittany A, Stella, Ulo F, Noah C, Melissa H, Alexis, William M, Trish, Susie, Leslie G, Catherine B, Karlin, Laura L, Katy S, J'nia G, Kathy M, Kathy S, Okcaro, Caroline P, JD B, Cookiecutter, Ailish D, Wil D, Caroline M, kcmojojojo & Sammy S!

At 16, she was nominated to the U.S. National Team but ultimately had to decline the invitation due to injury. After graduating from Burke, she spent a gap year training and racing in Italy with the International Ski Racing Academy (ISRA), gaining valuable experience on the international circuit. She went on to attend Dartmouth College, where she competed as a Division I alpine skier and served as team captain during her senior year. Throughout her ski career, Bri faced and overcame multiple injuries, including a fractured tibial plateau and damaged growth plate, a partially torn PCL, chronic exertional compartment syndrome, and fractures in both tibias, which ultimately led to her decision to retire from the sport. After stepping away from racing and graduating from Dartmouth, Bri shifted her focus to the mental health field and is now pursuing a PhD in clinical psychology in Michigan, specializing in work with young children and families. Welcome back to our weekend Cabral HouseCall shows! This is where we answer our community's wellness, weight loss, and anti-aging questions to help people get back on track! Check out today's questions:    Yvonne: Have just been advised, based upon blood work, that I have reduced pancreatic function (52.2%). My diet contains no sugar (I use stevia or monk fruit or natural sugars in fruits such as dates) and don't eat any highly processed foods, no gluten… so basically a clean diet. I also exercise, am not overweight. Was told I am pre-diabetic with an A1C of 6. Had a sample of a 4continuous glucose monitor - lowest rate was 5 and highest one time 2 hrs after eating was 10. I intermittent fast usually from about 2 - 3 p.m. until around 7 a.m. Is there anything else I can do to ensure pancreatic function doesn't continue to decline as I don't want to be on a pharmaceutical. Thanks.                                                            Lynn: I only recently heard about liposomal vitamins for the first time. Now I seem to be hearing about them everywhere, including on last week's House Call where you recommended Liposomal Glutathione to help with exposure to harsh toxins. Are liposomal vitamins better than "regular" vitamins. Or are there certain vitamins that are better if taken in liposomal form? Thanks!                                                                         Jenna: I had 6 meniscus, 1 PCL & 2 ACL surgeries. Thank you collegiate soccer. I noticed in my mid 20's after half of the surgeries, I would get a deep tingling and itch in my thighs while taking walks. I could prevent it from getting out of control if I had very tight compression workout pants on. But if I wore shorts, game over… I would scratch my thighs til it broke blood vessels. I don't know if it's a neurological or lymph/blood issue but no one seems to understand what I'm talking about. I would love to find an answer. I listened to the podcast about tingling skin but I'm not sure where to start.                    Anonymous: Hi Dr Cabral, thank you for all you do! Was just wondering how often and how much Moringa powder is safe to use? Would it be okay to add to a smoothie daily along with the greens powder and DNS? I have a Moringa tree and like to make my own powder. Also what are your thoughts on creatine for after or before a workout? Thank you             Laura: Hi dr. Cabral! Thank you so much for sharing all your experience and knowledge with the community! I have dealt with got issues probably my whole life and I've been told I probably have sibo and Candida. So I am currently doing the CBO protocol. At the end of my protocol, my family has a trip planned to go to Tokyo Japan. Do you have any tips for me of what I can do to not ruin all my progress? And keep my gut bacteria healthy? Should I start the CBO finisher while I am there? I also am interested in doing the parasite cleanse. Can I do the para cleanse while I'm doing the CBO finisher after I get home? Any travel suggestions would be great! Thank you so much!                                                                                                                       TAKEAWAYS     Thank you for tuning into today's Cabral HouseCall and be sure to check back tomorrow where we answer more of our community's questions!    - - - Show Notes and Resources: StephenCabral.com/3431 - - - Get a FREE Copy of Dr. Cabral's Book: The Rain Barrel Effect - - - Join the Community & Get Your Questions Answered: CabralSupportGroup.com - - - Dr. Cabral's Most Popular At-Home Lab Tests: > Complete Minerals & Metals Test (Test for mineral imbalances & heavy metal toxicity) - - - > Complete Candida, Metabolic & Vitamins Test (Test for 75 biomarkers including yeast & bacterial gut overgrowth, as well as vitamin levels) - - - > Complete Stress, Mood & Metabolism Test (Discover your complete thyroid, adrenal, hormone, vitamin D & insulin levels) - - - > Complete Food Sensitivity Test (Find out your hidden food sensitivities) - - - > Complete Omega-3 & Inflammation Test (Discover your levels of inflammation related to your omega-6 to omega-3 levels) - - - Get Your Question Answered On An Upcoming HouseCall: StephenCabral.com/askcabral - - - Would You Take 30 Seconds To Rate & Review The Cabral Concept? Kroner served three months of a two-year sentence for malicious destruction of property and violation of aviation ordinances.Kroner had been arrested prior to the Stadium incident for making threats against former Colt Bill Pellington. This included Kroner being accused of dropping a bottle and toilet paper from his plane onto the roof of Pellington's Timonium restaurant. According to news reports, Kroner was upset over being thrown out of the restaurant. Kroner died in 2013.Kroner had been fired as an MTA bus driver the day before the crash. He also had been a flight instructor and, according to some accounts, had worked as an air traffic controller. In 1980, Kroner was charged with stealing a Greyhound bus from Dulles International Airport. The dismissal of the Motor City's popular play-by-play announcer starts a furor among fans, which includes a threatened boycott of Domino's Pizza, a business of club owner Tom Monaghan, and the rise of the slogan, “Say It Ain't So, Bo”, which appears on bumper stickers and T-shirts all over Detroit, referring to Bo Schembechler, the team president and former University of Michigan football coach."[Harwell's situation is] not going to change no matter how much clamor is made over it," said team president Bo Schembechler. The situation caused outrage so much that some made threats of violence against Schembechler. Some, such as Mitch Albom, blamed the situation causing as much negative feeling as it did on WJR executive Jim Long who was the one who pushed the quick, no severance pay removal of Harwell.[6] The movement in favor of keeping Harwell was so strong that even billboards in favor of his remaining were put up.[7] Rick Rizzs was hired away from the Seattle...
