Brixton Metals (TSX-V: BBB) has announced a significant copper-gold porphyry discovery at the Catalyst target within its Thorn Project in northwestern British Columbia. Chair and CEO Gary Thompson discussed the breakthrough with Mining Stock Daily. The first-ever drill holes at Catalyst intersected broad zones of copper-gold mineralization from surface, including hole THN25-343, which returned 424 metres of 0.30% CuEq, with higher-grade intervals of 98.5 metres at 0.50% CuEq and 16.5 metres at 1.05% CuEq. Thompson said the mineralization from surface, coupled with a large geochemical and geophysical footprint and Maricunga-style veins, points to “a fertile multi-phase porphyry system at Catalyst.”The company believes the new discovery underscores the potential of the emerging 8–10 kilometre Camp Creek Corridor. Brixton plans additional drilling next season to test the full extent of mineralization at Catalyst and nearby targets. Thompson also provided an update on the Trapper gold target, where earlier this month Brixton intersected 22.15 metres of 4.44 g/t gold, including 1.50 metres of 57.20 g/t gold.

Gold prices climbed 1% to $4,203 as markets rallied on strong earnings and dovish comments from the Fed, raising hopes for a rate cut. Bank of America reported a 23% profit jump, while Fed Chair Jerome Powell cautioned that the labor market is softening.In mining news, Indonesia's PT Arsari Tambang eyes a $422 million Canadian acquisition, and Capstone Copper secured up to $360 million in funding for its Santo Domingo Project in Chile. Brixton Metals hit high-grade gold at its Trapper target in British Columbia, with assays up to 57.2 g/t gold. TDG Gold extended mineralization at Aurora West and is adding a third drill rig after strong results.Kalo Gold announced a bonanza-grade discovery in Fiji, while Alaska Silver identified new mineralization at its Illinois Creek project. Revival Gold brought on a new VP for corporate development, and production updates saw Aya Gold & Silver post record quarterly output and Allied Gold cut AISC by 10%.

Brixton Metals Corp (CVE:BBB, OTCQB:BBBXF) Vice President, Investor Relations, Michael Rapsch, talked with Proactive's Stephen Gunnion about the company's latest drill results from the Thorn Project in British Columbia, highlighting a standout intersection of 38.50 metres at 4.07 g/t gold, including 1.85 metres at 39.61 g/t gold from the Trapper Gold Target. Rapsch described the results as “probably one of our better drill holes for this season,” noting that the hole was an infill drill designed to delineate a high-grade zone within Trapper. He also explained that the 2025 drilling season exceeded expectations, with 12,500 metres completed across 56 holes—expanding on the initial 10,000-metre plan through cost efficiencies. The program focused on three main targets: Trapper, Catalyst, and Camp Creek, with the latter two also showing promise for copper-gold mineralization. With most assays still pending, Rapsch said Brixton expects “more news in terms of drilling results to come out over the next two and a half months.” Investors can look forward to additional updates as results from the Catalyst and Camp Creek targets are received. "I was in the kitchen and this Audible Voice said I was to build a nonprofit restaurant. ‘There are many good people in the world, but they're not coming to my churches. They go out to eat. "God put on my heart to go for a walk every day for 100 days. And, to journal what happened along the way. I had no idea what it would lead to!" ---------- Hi, Trapper Jack here.
