"The doctor told me that I would be completely disabled within months with aggressive MS. I heard a voice, 'Everything is going to be OK.' What?" ---------- Chris is the kind of guy you might live next door to. A regular husband and dad, doing his best, never presenting himself as special or gifted in any way. Just humble and real. In this episode, he shares several moments where God quietly but unmistakably showed up. The most dramatic came in 2015, when his children were still very young and he was diagnosed with the most aggressive form of multiple sclerosis. Doctors told him he would likely be disabled within six to nine months. Crushed and searching for meaning, Chris turned to prayer. Without even owning a rosary, he began counting prayers on his fingers. That's when the miracle happened. Steve McCue is a trapper, naturalist, all-around outdoorsman & Vice President of the West Virginia Trappers Association from Nicholas County, West Virginia. On this in-the-field episode we visit his wall-tent camp and head out for a morning on the bobcat trapline. After a 1929 reading about handling & relocating backcountry bobcats, Steve opens on the significance of the bygone American chestnut. We hear of his deep Appalachian roots & how his outdoorsman lifestyle is a spiritual pursuit that reaches back into pre-history where trapping was the oldest way to procure food & clothing. After some archaeological examples of ancient trapping, Steve describes the 4-types of modern trappers: the hobbyist, the animal damage controller, the longliner, and the territorial/conservationist. From there we get into the natural history of Steve's favorite furbearers starting with the gray fox whose population is in decline. Tread Merrily heads to San Francisco for an episode of Trapper John M.D. called "'Tis The Season." Although Trapper is trying his best to get to Aspen for a Christmas ski holiday with his kids, the hospital is overrun with problems. Dr, Gates is taking care of a boy who needs his spleen removed, but there's not enough AB- blood in the county to make the procedure safe. Dr. Riverside is driving everyone crazy with his custom-made Santa suit. Trapper, meanwhile, is driven to distraction by an old man working as s corner Santa who won't give his name, but needs a serious life-saving procedure. Will the chance meeting between "Santa" and the boy change all their lives? Justin is struck by just how generic Trapper John turns out to be. And yet, the episode does not play by the rules of a medical drama Christmas episode. Guest star Ray Walston turns out to be the MVP while Erik tries to figure out why E/R's Lynne Moody gets the "special guest star credit." Justin reveals a subtle Stranger Things mistake. He also does an admirable job leading the entire discussion into the weeds and celebrating the talents of Madge Sinclair. Paulie from the Rocky film series makes his way into events again and more plot details of the never-made Shield holiday special emerge.

Brixton Metals CEO Gary Thompson joins the show to break down the company's newest discovery at the Thorn Project in northwestern British Columbia — the Tempest copper-gold-silver porphyry system, announced in early December. This marks the second new porphyry discovery at Thorn in just over a year, following the Catalyst discovery reported in late October (TSX-V: BBB).Drawing on Brixton's latest news release and the company's December 2025 corporate presentation, the discussion outlines how Tempest emerged from a combination of IP geophysics, soil and rock geochemistry, and first-pass drilling. Thompson explains that Tempest hosts a nearly 2 km² IP anomaly, slightly larger than Catalyst's ~1.4 km² footprint, and that both zones lie roughly 2 km apart within what is shaping up to be a multi-center, 8–10 km porphyry corridor at Thorn.Thompson details the results from Hole THN24-601 at Tempest, which cut intervals of porphyry-style veining and alteration with copper-gold mineralization, including intercepts such as 16.6 m of 0.63% CuEq, 27 m of ~0.40% CuEq, and a broader 90 m averaging ~0.33% CuEq. He notes the intriguing near 1:1 gold-to-copper ratio, distinguishing Tempest and Catalyst from the deeper, more copper-dominant Camp Creek system. The geology suggests interlayered reactive and less-reactive volcanic phases, with age-dating underway to determine how these systems relate temporally.The conversation expands to Brixton's broader exploration strategy for 2026:• Additional drilling at Tempest and Catalyst, where large footprints and limited drilling create substantial open-ended potential.• Evaluating deeper targets at Trapper, where notable high-grade gold hits were generated in 2025.• Continued shallow drilling at Camp Creek to follow up on near-surface breccia- and vein-hosted gold-silver-copper zones.• Budget ambitions of roughly $10M, dependent on market conditions.Thompson also provides an update on the Langis Silver Project in Ontario. Brixton Metals reported strong drill results from the Trapper Gold Target portion of its Thorn Project. On Friday Michael Rapsch, vice president of corporate relations, spoke to Mining Stock Daily.The company drilled 112 g/t gold over 0.50 m with visible gold within 23.50 m of 3.33 g/t gold at Trapper target and 18.50 m of 3.39 g/t, including 3.00 m of 15.69 g/t gold. The company said that mineralization remains open for expansion in multiple directions, and visible gold was observed in core. The company also announced a financing this month. In its announcement dated November 14 2025, Brixton Metals revealed a non-brokered private placement of up to CAD $18 million.

Brixton Metals (TSX-V: BBB) has announced a significant copper-gold porphyry discovery at the Catalyst target within its Thorn Project in northwestern British Columbia. Chair and CEO Gary Thompson discussed the breakthrough with Mining Stock Daily. The first-ever drill holes at Catalyst intersected broad zones of copper-gold mineralization from surface, including hole THN25-343, which returned 424 metres of 0.30% CuEq, with higher-grade intervals of 98.5 metres at 0.50% CuEq and 16.5 metres at 1.05% CuEq. Thompson said the mineralization from surface, coupled with a large geochemical and geophysical footprint and Maricunga-style veins, points to “a fertile multi-phase porphyry system at Catalyst.”The company believes the new discovery underscores the potential of the emerging 8–10 kilometre Camp Creek Corridor. Brixton plans additional drilling next season to test the full extent of mineralization at Catalyst and nearby targets. Thompson also provided an update on the Trapper gold target, where earlier this month Brixton intersected 22.15 metres of 4.44 g/t gold, including 1.50 metres of 57.20 g/t gold.
