It feels like we are in the middle of a complete collapse by the Mets. The Mets are on the verge of not making the playoffs, and if they do make it, it will be short lived. To not get as far as last year after adding Juan Soto would be insane. They cannot let Sean Manaea pitch another game this season. Gio said they stink and have stunk for months. Jerry is here for his first update of the day and starts with Kyle Schwarber hitting his 50th HR last night as the Phillies beat the Mets. The SF Giants won, also not good for the Mets. The Yankees had a very rough 7th inning and lost to the Tigers. Aaron Judge passed Yogi Berra as 5th all time in Yankees HRs. Buck Martinez had quite the critique of the Yankees during the Blue Jays broadcast. Chris Long talked about feeling old while watching the YouTube NFL broadcast. In the final segment of the hour, we took calls from Mets fans who have come to expect this type of season.

Buck Martinez had quite the critique of the Yankees during the Blue Jays broadcast. Chris Long talked about feeling old while watching the YouTube NFL broadcast. In the final segment of the hour, we took calls from Mets fans who have come to expect this type of season. Hour 2 Caleb Williams is using the same nail technician as Angel Reese. Gio's not sure if Chicago Bears fans want to read something like that. Boomer said he needs to get his head out of his ass and start listening to his coaches. A caller said this Mets season is karma for all the trash talking the fans did after they got Juan Soto from the Yankees. Jerry returns for an update, but first Boomer shows a picture from a Ryder Cup event he played in 20 years ago with a bunch of celebrities. Jerry starts with the sounds of the Yankees loss to the Tigers as they gave up 9 runs in the 7th. Sean Manaea had a rough outing in Philadelphia where the Mets lost again. Carlos Mendoza was asked after the game about the possibility of them not making the playoffs. The critics are out in Chicago as JJ McCarthy looked better in game 1 of his career than Caleb Williams did in start number eighteen. Ben Johnson talked about his struggles. Deion Sanders was asked about his starting quarterback for this weekend. In the final segment of the hour, C-Mac, who loves the Yankees, has officially given up on Anthony Volpe. A caller has a wager for Gio for this weekend's boxing match on Netflix. Hour 3 Who is more likely to win this week, the Giants over the Cowboys or the Jets over the Bills? Will the Jets offense look anything like week 1 or was that an anomaly? If the Jets can run the ball like week 1, they will be in every game this year. Gio wonders if Boomer was into the UAP video of a missile being shot at an orb and it bouncing off. We took many calls on the UAP orb. Jerry returns for an update, but first Gio asks him about the alien orb. The Jets are cutting Xavier Gipson because of his fumble this past weekend. Daniel Jones was on Pat McAfee and talked about his big game with the Colts and his poor play with the Giants. Micah Parsons talked about his move to Green Bay after camp. The Yankees had a terrible seventh inning and lost to the Tigers. In the final segment of the hour, a caller wonders if this Mets collapse will be worse than 2007. Hour 4 We talked about the Ryder Cup with Jimmy Roberts from NBC. The event is taking place at Bethpage Black in Long Island. Jerry returns for his final update of the day and starts with audio of Aaron Nola talking to the media and somebody farts and people laugh. Kyle Schwarber hit his 50th HR of the season as the Phillies beat the Mets again. The Yankees had a terrible 7th inning and lost to the Tigers. Daniel Jones was on with Pat McAfee and asked him what he learned in his short time with the Vikings. The Moment of The Day: Jerry talking like a space alien. In the final segment of the show, yesterday was 20 years ago that Gio walked in to WFAN to start the first day of his internship.

Houston Astros vs. Toronto Blue Jays MLB Pick Prediction by Tony T. Astros at Blue Jays 7PM ET—Luis Garcia gets the start for Houston. Garcia, in his return from injury allowed three earned runs with six strikeouts in six innings at home to the Angels. The right hander has a career ERA of 3.62 with WHIP of 1.15 in 358 innings striking out 370.
We talked about the Giants quarterback situation and how they have to try hard not to screw up Jaxson Dart. It seems like the only chance Daboll has of keeping his job is starting Dart and him playing well. Callers are sick of the boring Giants offense. If the Giants don't win this week in Dallas, this has the makings of a 3-win season. They have the Chiefs and Chargers after that. A caller calls Andrew Thomas a ‘mutt' for not playing hurt. Jerry returns for an update and starts with the sounds of the Steelers beating the Jets with a 60 yard FG. Mike Tomlin described him as wanting to ‘bang from deep'. We heard the sounds of the Commanders having no problem with the Giants as they scored only 6 points. Malik Nabers talked about his spat with Daboll on the sideline. Russell Wilson was asked about the supposed package of plays for Jaxson Dart. Daniel Jones had a great day as the Colts beat the Dolphins. Buffalo scored 16 unanswered points to come back in the fourth quarter to beat the Ravens. Jerry went around the NFL. The Yankees took their series from the Blue Jays while the Mets lost theirs to the Reds. In the final segment of the hour, a fan shoved DeAndre Hopkins so Lamar Jackson shoved him back. Gio thinks moronic fans should keep their hands off the players.
We had zero expectations for the Jets, but they looked pretty good offensively and probably should have won the game. For the Giants, it was more of the same that we've seen for years. Giants fans want Jaxson Dart to start. We talked about Friday night's game between the Chiefs and Chargers and how the Chiefs have an issue at WR now. We took calls from Giants fans who are already fed up with Russell Wilson and the offense. Jerry returns for his final update of the day and starts with the sounds of the Jets losing to the Steelers. We wondered about Justin Fields wearing gloves, maybe because of the rainy weather. The Bills came back in the fourth quarter to beat the Ravens as Derrick Henry had a costly fumble. Brian Daboll talked about losing again. The defense only allowed 14 points for most of the game but they have zero offense. Jerry went around the NFL including Ben Johnson who's fired up for tonight's game against the Vikings. The Yankees beat the Blue Jays and took the series. The Mets lost to the Reds and dropped the series. The Moment of The Day: Mike Tomlin's kicker likes to ‘Bang from deep'. In the final segment of the show, Boomer asks Gio what teams were most disappointing in week 1.
Hour 1 We start the NFL season with two 0-1 teams yet again. The Jets offense looked surprisingly good but the defense gave up 4 TDs to Aaron Rodgers. The Jets also had a fumble on a kickoff return that really hurt them. Justin Fields made a lot of good throws. What will Brian Daboll do at quarterback? Gio said he cannot put Jaxson Dart out there behind that line. Jerry is here for his first update of the day and starts with the Xavier Gipson fumble that really hurt them and the 60 yard FG that won the game. Mike Tomlin called the kicker a ‘serial killer'. Aaron Glenn talked about the discipline issues they had. Brian Daboll talked about the tough loss in Washington. We heard Daniel Jones throwing a beautiful pass for a TD as they had no problem with Miami. Mike McDaniel talked about what went wrong. The Ravens blew a big lead in the fourth quarter and lost to the Bills. Green Bay had no problem beating the Lions. The Yankees beat the Blue Jays and took the series as Cody Bellinger had a nice RBI. The Mets lost to the Reds and dropped the series. In the final segment of the hour, we took calls from Giants fans who are sick of the same old same old. And it was Aaron Rodgers, no less, coming in and throwing 4 TDs. The Jets were the better team for all 4 quarters, but as Aaron Glenn said, there are no moral victories. And the stadium was full of Steelers fans. The Giants on the other hand looked like they have the last four years, not good. A caller said he felt out of place at MetLife as a Jets fan. Gio can't believe people still like to go to games. With the Giants, once again, we are watching the same thing we've been seeing year after year. Jerry returns for an update and starts with the Jets loss against the Steelers. Aaron Glenn talked about the fumble and said players won't remain on the team if they have costly turnovers. Boomer liked Glenn's postgame press conference. Xavier Gipson talked about his costly fumble. Aaron Rodgers was asked about beating Glenn since he didn't want him any more. We heard Brandon Tierney's ‘Unkillable' podcast reaction after the Jets loss. We heard from Tommy Lugauer and Shaun Morash who both want Jaxson Dart to start. Thursday afternoon means a fresh episode of Real Life was recorded, edited, and is ready to help you kick off your workweek. On today's podcast, the guys discussed Ryan Nugent-Hopkins' 15th season with the Oilers, the Toronto Blue Jays, the NFL season kicking off, and delved into any other topics that arose. The guys started the Thursday episode of Real Life by welcoming Wanye back to the podcast after he filled in for Jason Gregor on Sports 1440 last week. Wanye always has fun filling in for Gregor, but getting back on the podcast is always refreshing because he's able to say whatever he wants without worrying about swearing live on air. From there, Tyler asked Baggedmilk to blind rank the Top 5 most surprising moments from Ryan Nugent-Hopkins' career with the Oilers. Changing gears, the guys started talking a little baseball with a recap of the Houston Astros pitcher situation after Framber Valdez seemingly crossed up his catcher with a 93 mph sinker to the gut. While both players said it was an accident in the media, no one in the baseball world believes them. Sticking with the MLB, Tyler got Wanye caught up on what's been happening with the Blue Jays and how exciting it is to watch them mash their way through the final portion of the season. Finally, the guys wrapped up the Thursday episode of Real Life with a random collection of topics, including Wanye questioning Baggedmilk's Vikings fandom, Drake appearing on Bobbi Althoff's new podcast despite the drama from the last time, and a look at the first week of the NFL season on deck. As always, the Thursday episode of Real Life was all over the map. SHOUTOUT TO OUR SPONSORS!!

This preview delivers actionable insight on pitching matchups, bullpen depth, and lineup form. The commentary blends betting strategy with game analysis, showing where value might lie in money lines, run lines, totals, and first-five opportunities. With the playoff race heating up, the focus is on identifying underdog value, fading over-priced arms, and trusting teams with proven bats and bullpens. The conclusion is clear: Wednesday's card offers a mix of live dogs and high-scoring opportunities, led by the Phillies against the Brewers and offensive potential in White Sox vs Twins .
