My name is Kristin Benton and am a Mindset Hacker (you can call me a life coach if you want to) that is deeply passionate about guiding women to the “other side” of doubt, guilt, shame, negative self-talk, and all around small living. And, you've found my podcast, where you get to be a fly on the w…
I do something I have never done and welcome boys to this formerly all girls club. Not only that, there are two of them. So - first time for a male guest and first time for more than one guest in the same episode. Quarantine got me some kind of way! What do we talk about? This is the podcast about podcasts. We each listened to a podcast, without telling the others what we listened to. Then, we talk about it and see if we can guess what each other listened to. It's a hilarious episode of chaos but you may find a new podcast to listen to that you love!
Nothing profound here. Just sharing a story from the archives. I love this story and how utterly ridiculous it is. Hope you enjoy!
Things haven't been all bad in quarantine, but I've learned a lot of things. I picked up some work as an UberEats driver and while I didn't intend to go off about that - I totally did. HA!
The podcast is back! Bringing you the good, the bad, and the ugly from my quarantined world. This episode is a bit on the, um, "not so proud of myself" side? let's just say we had a rough start in quarantine.
What happens when Kristin and Tammy sit down to do an episode of the Ride or Die Tribe Remix about routines? Um... pretty much a free flow of all the things... but in a good way! We discussed so many topics, from Kristin's amazing new Mystery Travel Concierge business to the difference between routines and discipline to politics (briefly, and we promise never to do that again!). The great thing about talking about "all the things" is that we each have a different way of running our lives, so you will hear a variety of ideas and hopefully will find ones that work for you! We agree that living your best life is all about finding that sweet spot that feels so perfectly right for you and being intentional about making it happen. Spend some girl time with us! We are certain you will leave with some new ideas and a few laughs! Connect with us on Instagram: @kbeezyaf @tammygibsononline
On this week’s Ride or Die Tribe Remix, Co-hosts Kristin and Tammy, discuss the common issue of “distraction” that we hear so many of our clients complain about. It is something we all face! You know, social media, checking email 20 times a day, texting friends to see who is available for a coffee meet-up, online shopping, and cleaning the house are just a few of the reasons we’ve heard. Can you relate? Is it harmless or is it preventing us from living our higher purpose? We dive into the reasons distraction occurs and things you can do to set yourself up for a distraction-free day so you can complete the goals set out in front of you! If you’ve ever had those “squirrel!” moments (reference: the movie, UP!), you’ll definitely want to listen in on this episode! Connect with us on Instagram: @kbeezyaf @tammygibsononline
Kristin and co-host Tammy, an online business coach and digital marketing expert, have teamed up. In this episode we talk about "not fitting in." We recently realized that while we show up in very different ways in the world, we both often feel like we can't find a lunch table to sit at. Tammy is put together and enjoys being "done up" daily, while Kristin is lucky to brush her hair before leaving the house; but, the common ground is the unspoken gap, the need to belong, to live in community, to be accepted. Sound familiar? We would love to hear from you. What experiences have shaped the way you appear in the world. Do you ever feel like you don't belong. How can we individually extend more kindness to create collective acceptance? Connect with Us on Instagram: @kbeezyaf @tammygibsononline
I met Julie at a networking breakfast. We had a couple lunches, and voila! It's how I make friends. LOL. Julie is a wonderfully talented business advisor and the CEO of Ellevated Outcomes, a business firm that helps small businesses get to the next level with integrity. Her favorite clients are 1-10 person businesses who sell some type of service, with a particular passion for those in health and wellness, design, and professional service. She spent the last 10 years building businesses in Boston, London, and now Nashville. She's incredibly talented and an absolute joy to spend time with. Want to connect further with Julie? For this final takeover episode, my good friend Tammy came in strong wanting to talk about faith. This is a deeply personal episode and I shared several incredibly formative encounters/experiences that I have shared with only my closest friends over the years. But, it was time and Tammy so beautifully held space for this to happen. From my early encounters with the occult, to my personal decision to follow Christ, pastors having affairs in the church, and so much more. My relationship with God is never in question, though my humanness will always make me an imperfect being trying to love as much like Jesus as I can. Tammy is an online business GURU! Be sure to follow her on Instagram at @tammygibsononline and visit her at tammygibsononline.com. I would love to connect with you as well, so meet me at www.instagram.com/kbeezyaf
I've always had a fascination with culture and languages from as far back as I can remember. When the Takeover offer was opened up, my friend Pica said she was curious about my travels and I was SO excited to give her the mic for this! I've traveled almost all of the United States and am steadily checking off my international bucket list. We spent a great deal of time talking about my time in Tanzania (she got me emotional), which was an experience of deep spiritual and emotional growth. Then, we moved into the adventure of 7 days in a van... in Iceland. Plus, many other pit stops along the way. I've encountered many cultures in my life and we didn't even touch on the slightest bit of that in this conversation: but, don't worry, we covered a TON of ground as I share how travel has changed me. I don't plan on stopping anytime soon. To connect with Pica, go to www.instagram.com/rasath1 And, of course you can find me at www.instagram.com/kbeezyaf
A few weeks prior to this episode I was interviewing Amy (The one that lives in the van) and when we got done she said, she was curious about more of MY story and suggested that I be a guest on my own podcast. I said "OK" and immediately asked her to do the first takeover. She ROCKED it. If you want to know who I REALLY am - my fears, my passions, what I would tell my 21 year old self, how I get grounded, words of wisdom for my kids, my favorite food and color....all of it - she covered it. I'm super proud of this conversation and so honored to have been gifted with this talk with Amy. We talk about my biggest fear, my guilt pleasure, childhood hurt, and she even made me cry on my own podcast - what?! I hope you enjoy this storytelling as much as I enjoyed being part of it. And be sure to give Amy a lot of love by listening to her episode and following her on IG @amyiacro. Want to know more about me? Julieta. Where to begin. She grew up in an Argentinian family of girls that were empowered by a strong mother to know their anatomy, know about safe sex, and be in charge of their bodies and pleasure. This wasn't easy growing up in Mormon Utah but she ended up educating her classmates about their bodies and sexuality within a culture that attaches a great deal of shame to female bodies and development, including sexuality and pleasure. Turns out, it was a foreshadowing of things to come. Now, she is a badass proponent of normalizing pleasure, exploring kink, and owning your sexuality. DO NOT miss this! Amy and I have one of the weirdest stories of meeting - but for those that know us, it's also the most natural way we could have ever met! And from there - we've remained "virtual" friends and have kept the girl crush alive for years with the help of Facebook and Instagram. . One of the many interesting things about Amy is that she and her now husband, Eddie, live in a van. full time. They've done this for 4 years and have gone across the United States FIFTEEN times! It was entirely accidental how it came to be and completely wonderful. When you live and work with someone in that kind of proximity 24-7, you learn to communicate on a whole new level.... and we talk about what that looks like! Amy and Eddie travel the globe teaching acro yoga and really sharing joy through movement in very powerful ways. She just released her first book- "Collage: Acrobatics, Acroyoga, & Movement" - available on Amazon, and can be found teaching workshops, planning festivals, and "flying" people all over the world. It was my absolute honor to chat with her and ask all the questions I've had about van life (and more) for so long! Her joy and kindness are her magic and she shares herself generously through movement across the globe. If you google "Rebecca Lynn Howard" you'll learn that she has won multiple Grammy Awards, has written numerous hits, and rubs elbows with some of the most famous musical legends around. She traded in a solo career and became a founding member of the Loving Mary Band and now tours with the one and only Steven Tyler (yes, the front man of Aerosmith). What Wikipedia won't tell you is how much she loves people and how important her faith is to her success. I had the privilege of living across the street from Rebecca for many years and we shared some hard times together. It is a privilege to get to share her with all of you - the Rebecca I know and love. Her faith and her outlook on life are inspirational and she allows us to peek into her heart in this raw interview that may or may not have involved some tissues. It was my deep privilege to catch up with my enneagram girl crush, Sarajane Case -(aka Enneagram and Coffee) and listen to her talk about what has shaped her into the woman, wife, friend, and mom that she is today. From growing up in a "less than ideal" home, to lessons learned from marriage, divorce, travel, business, and SO much self-discovery, this is THE story of transformation, bravery, and learning to make friends with yourself. We're both "7s" so it was definitely a lot of fun and if you want to hear the most 7 thing that's ever been said... well, this is for you! You MUST follow Sarajane on Instagram at: www.instagram.com/sarajanecase www.instagram.com/enneagramancoffee And I cannot recommend her Enneagram Summit strongly enough! She's a wife, mom of four, 2018 Texas Strongman Champion, 2019 USS National Qualifier, and multi-sponsored competitor. She's strong in faith, mind and spirit and now, after a lifestyle overhaul, she picks up heavy objects, and you know...pulls semi trucks. In other words, she does all the heavy lifting. She has opinions and isn't afraid to rally behind other women, even when their views are polar opposite. And you know I love that! ALLLLL the cats come out of the bag...lifestyle, faith, losing her dad, raising a big family, momming, vax versus non-vax, abortion, christianity and LOTS of things.... and SO much more. I girl crush on her so hard and you CANNOT miss this! Want to connect with Kels? You can find her on Instagram at www.instagram.com/callme_kels_
I met Ranella in the summer of 2017 at a Fitness TV Launch Party. She had just come off of Season 1 of Revenge Body with Khloe Kardashian and was learning how to make food and movement an integral part of a healthy lifestyle. We became friends immediately and it is such an honor to share her with you. We talk about being a Phillipino... woman... if faith in the music business as well as the challenges and successes that have shaped her. For example, her mom's house burned down at Christmas. You know, the usual. If you would like to connect with Ranella, hop over to Instagram where you can find her at www.instagram.com/ranellarocks
She may just be 8 years old; but the simplicity is something we all need. What I admire most about this firecracker is her gift for being a good friend. She is the most genuine, thoughtful person and the way she loves her friends is a true masterclass!

Breaking it down for you this week - on the two questions you need to ask yourself before you take on any change (or resolution, or whatever). Get ready and get out of your own way!
More people come to me for help with SETTING BOUNDARIES than probably any other single thing. Things to look out for? Saying "I can't" and Over-Justifying your reasons. Kristen Johnson is the world's premiere escape artist- as if that wasn't impressive enough, she broke Harry Houdini's record for most Water Torture Cell escapes and continues to perform the death defying escape hundreds of times a year. But, who IS Lady Houdini? I had the opportunity to learn about the truly remarkable human behind the impressive escapes and she definitely has a message to share. If you listened to my previous episode called "Sexual Harrassment Isn't Entertaining" then you'll want to catch this follow-up. I first became aware of Lisa when a video of her went viral (I'm talking over 15 million views in just a few days). Then, I learned she goes to the same church as me and it wasn't long before we were friends! Lisa opens up completely about all the things that have tried to defeat her in life and the list is quite lengthy: miscarriage as a teenager, abortion, drugs - lots of them, hoe-ing around (a lot), suicides, and a wide variety of death and dysfunction. And now, at 50 years old, Lisa is the most enthusiastic and encouraging person in the room, a mom, a mentor, an advocate for the LGBTQ community, and an incredible woman of God. You can't miss this- she is truly one of a kind. Also not to miss? Her viral video, which she is now using as a way to raise money for the "Here for Good" Campaign for The Village Church. When my best friend was murdered two years ago, it changed everything for me (listen to my prior podcast on this). Now, two year later, I have a really clear picture of how deeply her loss impacted me. I think about her everyday still but have a duller pain than I did initially. BUT - last night, as I undertook a home yoga practice for the first time in a VERY long time, I gained more understanding about myself, loss, resiliency, and being present with both pain and joy. Our challenge is to be fully present with our pain, without being overtaken by it. Follow me on Instagram at @kbeezyaf Visit www.kristinbenton.com to learn more
It's the most wonderful time of the year...or is it? It's certainly a time of year when we're told we're SUPPOSED to be full of cheer; but, that isn't the reality for a lot of people. Are you feeling the pressure and an avalanche of emotions right now - you're not alone.
Amanda is known by many in the community as "the pastor's wife"-- but she is SO much more than that. I love that Amanda is as human as anyone else I meet every day. I admire her simultaneous faith and humanness and how she shows up for people - not because she's "a pastor's wife" but because she loves people... no judgement, no conditions, just loves people. She is a treasure as a friend to me, and to our family, and our church and community are so fortunate to have her doing life with us!
Jamie is a wellness coach in Nashville, Tennessee who opens up, VERY CANDIDLY, about alcoholism and her road to sober. Taking a new route this week by sharing an actual coaching session. This incredible woman dug really deep and we talked about self-confidence, imposter syndrome, and what is holding her back from living the life she really wants. This is a hard-hitting podcast with a woman I deeply admire, Eb Tutora of Queens Recognize Queens. To give you an idea of how badass this woman is…. She left home at the very young age of 15 and got involved with a much older man who was a master manipulator. She landed in the middle of his world of excessive control, drugs, domestic violence, guns, baby mommas, and crime-- she was even the driver in a high speed chase. After three years, at the still very young age of 18, she tried to leave and was held hostage. You can’t make this stuff up. Want to know how she got from that lifestyle to being a wife, incredible momma of three beautiful girls and a powerhouse, empowering Mindset Coach? She holds nothing back. Eb’s story is a perfect example of how your choices can move you from where you are- no matter how bad it is – to where you want to be and know you deserve to be! Listen to this episode and tell me you don’t see your life and possibilities differently! To connect with Ebony, visit queensrecognizequeens.com and follow her on Instagram at @queensrecognizequeens
I met Pica earlier this year through a mutual coaching group and was immediately in love with her energy. She is a still, calm, goddess, badass. Yep - she's all those things and it was an absolute privilege to give her the mic. Pica talks candidly about moving around the globe (she's lived in 5 countries, on 4 different continents), losing herself in relationships and finding her way back to PICA, abortion, being an amazing mom, and SO freaking much more! In the first ever State of the KBeezy Address, I tell you what happened to cause my car accident two nights ago, I tell you how I was raped as a 20-year old who was already in the middle of processing the trauma of childhood sexual abuse, and I talk about how the media and "stuff" of the world poisons us. At the end of last week's podcast with Chantel Porter, we briefly discussed her life as apart of a poly triad. The response was great (thank you) and warranted a special release episode! Chantel is a fellow coach, the brains behind Wild Love Nation, and in fact, a coaching client of mine! I'm honored that she trusts me in our coaching relationship and even more honored to call her a friend. Chantel shares about how her indomitable spirit carried her through numerous foster homes growing up, and how those experience shape her approach to parenting her independent and brilliant daughter. Of course, we talk about her coaching business - did you know she specializes in helping women in Network Marketing (and she's kinda genius at it)? Before wrapping up, we dig into her personal life and unconventional relationship with a married couple. Better listen...it's good stuff.

For the last 5 years, I've traveled a minimum of 50% of the time and I've made it a habit to fine tune my packing and travel so it comes with minimal stress and optimum health. So many of you have asked what tools I love for travel and I'm excited to share them here! This is not a paid promotion by any of the companies - I just genuinely love these products and how they make travel so much better for me!
I met Anna on my very first day in Africa. We connected immediately and spent the afternoon talking. She shared her story with me and I was overwhelmed by how courageous and tough she is! Where Anna grew up, female circumcision was considered a privilege and young girls looked forward to it. Anna, however, did not understand why and did not want to undergo the procedure, despite the consequences. Now, 25 years after she said NO, female circumcision is rare in her village - because of her bravery and that's just the beginning of her story!
I was sexually, physically and psychologically abused by my brother growing up. Once I realized that revenge was not going to heal me, I found forgivness.
God has done some remarkable things and made it very clear that I am supposed to be on this mission trip, including the incredible circumstances of how I met Lady Houdini (Kristen) and her husband, Kevin who are the final confirmation that I am absolutely walking in God's plan for me at this time.
When we went to the fair and stepped into the circus tent, we were expecting family entertainment; not sexual harrasment and certainly not the aftermath, which included the Fair ending the Cirque Ma'Ceo's presence at the fair entirely- it all happened within 24hours and I have some things to say about it.
It's back to school season and very unexpectedly, the words "School shooting season" came into my thoughts as I was praying for my kids this weekend. This episode is much less about me sharing wisdom as it is sharing my fears and worries as a mom sending kids back to school in 3 days. I hope you're all praying.
