The circus comes and goes, but legends live forever What is a baddie? Not a fake insta baddie, a real baddie? We cant wait until we're perfect to love ourselves. Our comparison to perfection is what keeps us sad and stuck. You have to be grateful for who you are what you do in the present. Be nice but not too nice, men love bitches. Idk if this is my finest work, but it is important. I recorded this episode on video! Dont get excited, you cant see it yet but it's the first step to that happening sometime in the future. Typical social media blurs the lines of real life topic. Sit down, shut up and enjoy. love u xoxo --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/skipclass/support
LOL, where to begin... Sticking with the theme of teaching you what they didn't teach you in school, this lesson encompasses a variety of tools and tips to help you take care of your mental health. From simple things like buying yourself flowers, or serious business like mEdItAtIoNNN. It's very important. We have a mini book club where I suggest some books to help you start your journey. I scream about social media. Listen, I'm not going to waste our time telling you everything I said right here right now, if your reading this listen to the episode, it could change your life. Love you xoxo --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/skipclass/support
Hi students. In this episode I thought that I really needed to buckle down and talk to you about an important skill they neglect to teach in Human Interaction Class, oh wait.... Confrontation can be scary and awkward but it doesn't have to be. Actually speaking up for yourself, calmly, will help you feel better about yourself, your situation, and your relationships moving forward. I don't need to tell you holding things in will only hurt you and make it worse, thats why you're here. The class of life is always in session, I don't know everything but I did learn an effective way to communicate with others in times of "confrontation," and lucky you, I'm going to tell you my secrets. Just know, I still haven't told my mom how I feel and thats not good so a really important note is actually having the courage to speak up and say something. We gotta DO IT. Ok love you have fun ttyl xoxoxoxo --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/skipclass/support
I mean what else could you ask for? A billion dollars? Dont worry, i'll tell you how to get that too. In this episode, you will find fun, fuckery and fulfillment. Per usual we start with a bunch of little rants that all relate to the greater good. Do you think you should date someone if you don't see yourself marrying them? What are you pacing for? A personal favorite - FUCK tomorrow. Our true purpose, identifying how we can live up to our full potential, is a fun maze of back and forth, screams and sneezes and breakthroughs. Setting unrealistic goals, being too hard on yourself, your negative perspective, none of that will help. Wanna know what will? Stfu and listen
Yup, you heard that right. There was that one time when I pulled my pants down for a pedicure. There's our punch line. If you know anything about me or our show, thats just the beginning. Today we dive into emotional intelligence and self sabotage. You might be thinking, Nikki, what does that have to do with stripping? Im so glad you asked. Listen to the damn episode to find out how we go from one extreme to the other. Thats kinda my specialty. You will laugh, you will cry, you might mute me at some points but idgaf as long as you listen till the end. Per usual, your life is riding on taking in this knowledge, so sit back, relax and stfu. love you xoxoox Here is the link to our savior, Nick Wignall's, article https://nickwignall.com/self-sabotage/ --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/skipclass/support
HI BITCHESSS! Today we have a slightly short and bittersweet episode. Actually not bittersweet at all, I just thought that sounded nice. Honestly, what you will find in todays episode is important facts, awkward moments and if you're lucky, a good giggle. My planned topics include vacation, my teaching experience, the peak of my love life and some breaking news. The random story that just came out is obviously the best part. Sit back, relax, and escape. Afterwords watch the movie I recommended. Ifykyk xoxo --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/skipclass/support
Whats that? Did someone order a weeknight special? On tonights episode I let you in on the latest and greatest news straight from my nightmares. Love at first sight? IDK, listen. Whats going on this week? IDK, listen. What are we going to learn? IDK, listen. Is this going to be a waste of my time? IDK, listen. You get the point. The best thing you can do for your mental and physical wellbeing moving forward is listen to this episode. Your welcome :) I do love you xoxox, funny coming from a shy girl... you'll understand when you LISTEN
Lmao are you sitting? Today we address the elephant in the room. I know you feel it, my energy, BDE. Its not what you think and I'm not going to let you off easy by telling you what it is right here right now. You're going to have to be a good boy or girl or however you identify and sit down and listen. Per usual, I start with something random and boring like the news. Supporting evidence comes back to whip you in the a$$. We get into the goods and then I go off on a screaming rant about social media and greek life. Greek life was not on my agenda but as you will hear, there was some shit I had to let out. Thank god. By the end of this episode you will be equipped to handle any mental challenge that comes your way. I tell you EVERYTHING you need to know to not just survive, but to thrive. The things they forgot to teach you in k-12 + overpriced college. Good talk, enjoy the show xoxo --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/skipclass/support

Welcome back to Skip Class Still Pass. In today's episode, I sat down to talk with my favorite teacher from high school, Ms. Rizzi. She is more than a teacher, she is a great friend who has supported my vision since basically day one. We recorded this episode in September of 2020, which was suicide awareness month. In the episode, we talk about the documentary, The Social Dilemma, and how social media is impacting the younger generation's mental health. We discuss how schools could help students be better prepared for "life." We really bounce from memory to memory talking about Ms. Rizzi's life growing up in the '90s and attending fashion school at FIT. She also shares the lessons she wishes she knew when she was younger. We talk about having an open-minded attitude, being too hard on yourself, saving your money, staying aware of social media, and faking it till you make it. I hope you guys enjoy x www.skipclassstillpass.com https://www.instagram.com/skipclassstillpass/ --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/skipclass/support
STUDENTS, TODAY I COME TO YOU TO DISCLOSE SOME PERSONAL INFORMATION. I SACRIFICE MY PRIVACY TO GIVE YOU THE ADVICE AND LAUGHTER YOU NEED TO FEEL CONFIDENT IN YOUR OWN LIFE. WE START OFF BY CONQUERING OUR FEARS WITH BELIEFS THAT WE CARRY THROUGH OUR LIVES. SOCIAL MEDIA HAS CHANGED THE GAME AS FAR AS COMMUNICATION GOES, AND TODAY WE REALLY FOCUS IN ON SNAPCHAT. I EXPOSE THAT PEOPLE ARE OFTEN INEXPERIENCED, WHICH IS WHY WE HAVE NO REASON TO FEEL INTIMIDATED OR COMPARE OURSELVES TO OTHERS. AT THE END OF THE DAY WE ARE ALL LOOKING FOR SOMETHING SIMILAR, SO ALLOW YOU TO HELP YOU FIND YOUR SOMEONE
In today's episode, I finally got out of bed to talk about some very important subjects. One of the main points of the episode is to ensure that we learn from our past experiences to be better moving forward. There is no handbook on how to be good at life, only our knowledge from our experiences. I talk about what it's like as a kid discovering mental illness in a world where we don't know what we're dealing with. At this point I'm basically in a relationship with Tik Tok because I spent way too much time with it, It knows me better than I know myself, and we basically fall asleep together every night. I talk about a lot of the positives of Tik Tok, including how mental health knowledge can be spread by people with different experiences worldwide. I may have had a slight panic attack but I kept in the footage to show first hand, we can control our minds and thoughts. I talk about some mistakes I've made with friends in the past so that we can use my experiences to have better relationships in the future. Like I talk about in the episode, I've wasted so much time worrying about sh*t that doesn't matter and I don't want you to do the same. Be sure to listen to save your time and age like fine wine. LMAO for real there is some good advice in here somewhere. LYSM Your teacher, Nikki Bari
In today's class, I invite on my three little cousins. Lindsay is a freshman right now (COVID FALL 2020) so we talk about her experience starting school at such a weird time. We talk about what it's like interacting with teachers through hybrid/online schooling. We go off on some tangents about how disrespectful students can be to their teacher and other classmates. Samantha and Danielle are twins and sophomores in college. Samantha interrupts multiple times, while Danielle comes in to takeover the Intro, Ad, and the conclusion. It's a little long but we're worth it, this is a family fiasco you don't want to miss. Listen all the way to the end to win a free prize! EP4 HOMEWORK ASSIGNMENT This class's homework assignment is to reach out to 3 people who you haven't spoken to in a while and let them know that you appreciate them! We want to encourage gratitude and connection!
ON SCSP, IT IS MY DUTY, TO BE HONEST. I RECORDED THIS EPISODE WITH MICHELLE ABOUT A MONTH BEFORE SHE TOLD ME SHE NO LONGER WANTED TO BE FRIENDS. AFTER THAT HAPPENED I CHANGED THE DESCRIPTION TO SOME PETTY SHIT. IT'S ABOUT 6 MONTHS LATER AND I SPOKE TO MICHELLE TODAY. I FELT I WANTED TO WRITE SOMETHING BETTER, A BIT KINDER TO REFLECT OUR FRIENDSHIP. EVERYTHING HAPPENS FOR A REASON. WE MIGHT NOT UNDERSTAND, NOT LIKE IT, BUT IT'S TRUE. WHILE IT HURT THINKING I LOST A LIFELONG FRIEND, IT NEEDED TO HAPPEN. IT FORCED ME TO LEVEL UP AND BE THERE FOR MYSELF. MICHELLE SHARED WITH ME TODAY THAT SHE HAS ALSO LEARNED AND GROWN ALOT IN THE PAST FEW MONTHS. LITERALLY EVERY EXPERIENCE WE HAVE IN LIFE IS AN OPPORTUNITY TO LEARN. FRIENDS FIGHT. IT SUCKS. I HATE TO FORGIVE BUT I HAVE GOTTEN SOOO MUCH BETTER AT IT. I WOULD PUT THAT IN CAPS BUT THIS WHOLE THING IS IN CAPS. IT'S NOT THAT I HATE TO FORGIVE, ITS WHEN SOMEONE HURTS ME I DONT WANT TO GIVE THEM THE CHANCE TO DO IT AGAIN. BUT IF IM BEING HONEST, I HAVE ANOTHER FRIENDSHIP THAT WE HAVE FOUGHT AND FORGIVEN EACHOTHER, AND WE ARE SO MUCH CLOSER BECAUSE OF IT. IM A SCORPIO SO IT PAINS ME TO ADMIT IT, BUT TIME DOES HEAL WOUNDS. ALSO, A RATIONAL MATURE ADULT UNDERSTANDS ITS BETTER FOR OUR OWN MIND, CLARITY, HEALTH, ENERGY, FOR US TO LET GO AND NOT HOLD ANGER OR RESENTMENT IN OUR HEARTS. THROUGHOUT THIS WHOLE "INCIDENT" WITH MICHELLE, I KEPT TELLING MYSELF, EVERYTHING HAPPENS FOR A REASON AND I NEEDED TO LEARN FROM THIS EXPERIENCE TO BE BETTER AND DO BETTER. IT HELPED ME SO MUCH, SO HOPEFULLY ONE DAY WHEN YOU NEED TO BE REMINDED, THAT HELPS YOU. ALL THE BEST

I'm your host, or the guidance counselor you've never had, Nikki Bari. Today's class is Physical Education. I invited on my friend from college, a 23-year-old grad student, Ellin Gurvitch. We discuss how Ellin first started her healthy lifestyle and how she maintained it throughout college. We talk about two things that students don't take seriously but are two things that could seriously help you, sleeping and reading. We indulge in positive self-talk strategies and more.
