The Taste & See Podcast was started out of a realization of the goodness of God and a desire to see His people be active participants in bringing the Kingdom of God to the world around them. "Taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the one who takes refuge in Him." - Psalm 34:8 Taste (verb): to experience the flavor of. See (verb): to perceive with the eyes; discern visually. Join us as we experience the Kingdom of God together and, as a result of that experience, perceive the world around us through a different lens! Taste and see that God is good!

Scripture tells us to come as we are and that God loves us for who we are, regardless of what we look like. So why does our physical health even matter? I am so excited to have Christian Health Coach, Kate Muesing on the show this week to answer that question and to talk about personal health from a Christian perspective. Kate Muesing is passionate about helping people connect their health and their faith so that they can create a lasting healthy lifestyle that honors the Lord. She lives in South Florida with her husband and three children. Listen to Kate's thoughts now! Stories and Thoughts Kate shared: Growing up in a children's pastor's home and loving Jesus. Discovering that Jesus also cared about her personal health after having her third child. Becoming a health coach with a network marketing company, and realizing that there was a gap in the health, fitness, and diet industry: faith. Her clients who had the most success had a deep seated faith in Jesus. Healthy living leads to lives of faithful enduring service and the mental ability to love others well. God asks for ALL of us, our entire body, and Jesus exemplified that on the cross. The majority of non-medical health issues are "heart" issues. The Five Health Habits Kate teaches her clients: Exercise, Nutrition, Sleep, Hydration, and JESUS. Any habit needs to hold up to three things: sustainable, attainable, and wise. Valuable Resources: Get into your Bible, any Christian author who writes on health from a faith perspective. Take-away Thoughts from Kate: "What I saw and what God revealed to me while I was doing that was that there's a gap in the health and fitness and diet industry. And that gap is faith." "My clients who had the best success, the most lasting success and results, were the ones who had a really deep seated why, and it always came back to Jesus." "There are so many places in scripture where God asks for ALL of us. And ALL doesn't just mean your spirit, your soul, your serving, your time, or your money. It means your whole body. I mean, Jesus was a great example of that. He gave His entire body as a sacrifice. So why would we not give Him our entire body?" "There is no shame. There is no condemnation for where you are. But the truth is that you don't need to stay there." "Every single one of my clients has told me that pursuing Jesus as a part of their healthy journey was the most impactful piece. This was the piece they were missing." "If it's sustainable, attainable and wise, you do it and you make it stay, you do it until it becomes a part of who you are."
