The Ohio State University students Duncan MacKenzie and Richard Giang are joined by recent OSU graduate Rebekah Howson, who is now pursuing a Master of Accounting in the Fisher College of Business. The group discusses Rebekah's experiences interning in the fashion industry with companies like L Brands and Abercrombie and Fitch. Rebekah describes how her experiences, both good and bad, forced her to find her passion for accounting. The podcast wraps up with a discussion on how Greek life helped Rebekah find a community and a deep dive into her cheerleading days.
The Ohio State University students Richard Giang and Duncan MacKenzie are joined by recent graduate Erica Carlson, who now works as a Business Operations Analyst for Sendoso in San Francisco, California. As an undergrad, Erica was involved in Buckeye Leadership Fellows, the Delta Sigma Pi Business Fraternity, and co-founded a student organization called Buckeye Ventures. Erica discusses how her involvements and internships in the venture capital, nonprofit, and startup space affected her career aspirations. The Ohio State University senior undergraduate student, Jayson Velazquez, joins junior undergraduates Richard Giang and Anna Valerius to talk about his extensive career as an advocate for sustainability, social justice, and giving back to the community. From organizing a school supplies drive for his elementary school, to contributing to a 100+ page paper on conservation as a Doris Duke Scholar, to being the president of the 114th class of the Sphinx Senior Honorary, Jayson details how he has laid out a roadmap at Ohio State that he wishes to hand down to underclassmen and future generations to come.
