The Emmy Award-winning MASTER OF NONE returns with a new season that chronicles the relationship of Denise (Emmy Award winner Lena Waithe) and her partner Alicia (BAFTA winner Naomi Ackie). Directed by series co-creator and Emmy winner Aziz Ansari, and scripted by Ansari and Waithe, this new season is a modern love story that intimately illustrates the ups and downs of marriage, struggles with fertility, and personal growth both together and apart. Fleeting romantic highs meet crushing personal losses while existential questions of love and living are raised. Co-created by Ansari and Emmy Award winner Alan Yang, Season 3 delivers an evolution of the series that remains tethered to previous seasons while breaking new storytelling ground of its own.FOLLOW USFollow Daniel on Twitter, Instagram, and LetterboxdFollow Shahbaz on Twitter, Instagram, and LetterboxdFollow Anthony on Twitter, Instagram, and LetterboxdFollow The Movie Podcast on Letterboxd, Twitter, Instagram, Discord, and YouTubeANNOUNCEMENTSREVIEWS: Those Who Wish Me Dead, Wrath of Man, Without Remorse, Mortal Kombat, The Falcon and The Winter Soldier Recaps, Mythic Quest: Everlight, Love and Monsters, Shiva Baby, The Unholy, Godzilla vs Kong, and more are available now on The Movie Podcast feed!WATCH: DANIEL ON CINEMASEEN < TAP TO WATCHTHIS WEEK: Army of The Dead, Spiral: From The Book of SAW (Maybe), The Movie Podcast is on a mission to hit 200 Apple Podcast reviews before September, click here to head over to our show page on APPLE PODCASTS and leave us a 5 STAR review! As the people of Palestine continue to be subjected to violence and tragedy, it is now more important than ever that we continue to stay informed and help where possible. Two dudes I've wanted to get on the Squared Circle Pit are the two guests on my show this episode: Aniz Ansari and Kyle, the dude behind my favorite Instagram, @selfies_food_and_pets. We kick off the episode talking about the North Carolina metal scene, grindcore, and metal fandom in general. Aniz talks about seeing early Between the Buried and Me shows and Kyle talks about how he needs to grind. Then we transition to pro wrestling talk, and we nerded the fuck out on Japan, old school wrestling, how Aniz got his bro Aziz to wear a nWo logo on SNL, keeping up with so much wrestling content and suggestions on scoring PWG tickets. Aniz Ansari is the brother of Aziz Ansari, he grew up in the American South reading comics and listening to metal and rap music. Nowadays he’s a writer on Netflix's Master of None, which just released season 2, and has made everyones favorite list in short time. Jason Stewart and Zarna Surti chat with him about the odd and interesting path he took to get where he is today.
We have a bunch of new listeners to the podcast thanks to iTunes for featuring us so thanks to everyone tuning in for the first time. This week we welcome Aniz Ansari, brother of Aziz, neighbor of mine, and fellow food lover. Jason and Andre chat with him about growing up in the south, Indian food, BBQ, cold Korean soup, Cereal, and we close out with our favorite stoner snack instead of the best thing we at all week.
This week, we linked up with our friends, the brilliant comedians, Joe Mande and Aniz Adam Ansari to talk about what it takes to get Next to play your wedding, why you shouldn't pay money to attend the official Migos Grammy after party, and explore the anomaly that is RiFF RAFF. We break down who's a better Instagram follow, Plies or Kevin Gates, what it's like to attend a Lil B show, and give all praise to Gucci Mane for his skills in naming his mixtape series. We also talk Wing Stop, Cam'Ron, and what songs Amy Poehler and Nick Kroll know all the words to. See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.
