As part of an officer exchange program, the Enterprise gets a new Benzite ensign, Mendon, and the Klingon ship, the Pagh, gets Riker. Both struggle to fit in with their new assignments. Mendon is eager to impress Picard while Riker is eager to experience life among Starfleet's long-time frenemies. And wouldn't you know it? Medon's failure to inform Picard of a microbe that's eating the hull sparks conflict when the Lingon's discover the same microbe eating their hull and jump to the conclusion that it's an attack by the Enterprise. Riker is unable to convince Klingon captain Kargan that the Enterprise is blameless, even when they receive a message from the Starfleet vessel offering help. Kargan is prepared to destroy the Enterprise, and Riker needs to think fast if he's to avoid the coming battle. Will Riker save the day? Will Kargan see reason? Will Mendon stop bogarting that pink smoke? Can Riker get his legs over a Klingon chair?
A Matter Of Honor! A fortuitous officer exchange program leads to Riker serving on a Klingon ship and us learning more about Klingons! What sort of stupid shenanigans do these guys get up to? And why this other guy looks suspiciously exactly like that other Benzite from that other episode?! All this and more, in this week's episode! (ST:TNG S2E8) We recap Riker's exchange-student experience on board a Klingon ship, while a Benzite serves on board the Enterprise. The situation gets tense and there's a potential standoff between the Enterprise and the Pagh... how will Riker balance his divided loyalties? Also, Riker learns to eat live gagh, displays his physical prowess, and gets frisky with Klingon females. Good hunting, Will!

In Coming of Age we focus on our favorite boy genius, Wesley Crusher. In this episode he has won the coveted chance to take the Starfleet Academy entrance Exam. The Crew of the Enterprise drop him off at a testing facility where he will be challenged in numerous ways. There he meets four other people, a Human, a Vulcan and a Benzite and they discover that they will be competing against one another for the highest score, much like on some reality TV shows. Meanwhile Captain Picard's old friend Admiral Quinn and his attache Lt. Commander Remmick come aboard and begin interrogating the crew to discover any mistakes or incongruities in the mission log. What at first seems to be a witch hunt turns out to be a chance for Captain Picard to become comandante of Starfleet Acadamy. Quinn also reveals his suspicions of a conspiracy at the very core of Starfleet and possibly the Federation. Did you know Starfleet has an exchange program? Well it does. And Commander Riker is away on a Klingon ship. For a very short time. Because the Klingon ship is about to be destroyed by a subatomic something that's eating the hull of the Klingon ship. That was spotted by the Benzite exchange officer on the Enterprise. He did not bother to tell anyone about it though. Bottom line: Everyone has a lot to learn when we put A Matter of Honor in the Mission Log.
