The Enterprise and crew have been coursing around the galaxy, watching dying stars, corking up ship-in-bottle catastrophes, and trying not to have sci-fi adventures -- like in the original series with Kirk and Spock and shit. They aren't going to have any of that here, either, but they will have Spock. Kinda. Maybe. After receiving news that the venerable ambassador might have defected to the Romulan home world, conveniently called Romulus, Picard and Data engage in some Romulan cosplay and take a long, long, long time to finally meet up with everyone's favorite Vulcan. In the meantime, Riker and the rest of the crew are investigating some hijinx in the Federation junkyard because they need to have something to do while Picard and Data are busy making Trek history meeting Mr. freaking Spock! Will Riker and crew discover the secret of the missing junkyard ships? Will Data discover he really likes shoulder pads? Will Picard get any sleep? The Enterprise D decides it's finally time to do something about this genocidal snowflake, and welcomes Dr. Kila Marr, a Xenologist and expert on ole Crysty. In this episode, Wobby and Gyles discuss their experience at the NFL draft and dive into the Vikings' draft picks. They highlight the surprise selection of Dallas Turner and the potential impact he could have as an edge rusher. They also analyze the picks of Kyrie Jackson, Walter Rouse, and Will Reichard, discussing their strengths and potential contributions to the team. The hosts also touch on the philosophy of drafting kickers and punters and the importance of having a reliable special teams unit. In this conversation, Gyles and Wobby discuss the recent NFL draft picks made by the Minnesota Vikings. They analyze each pick and discuss the potential impact of the players on the team. They also speculate on future headlines for the Vikings, including their upcoming game in London, the release of the 2024 schedule, and a potential contract extension for Justin Jefferson. They also discuss the possibility of signing a veteran wide receiver to fill the WR3 position.   The Vikings' selection of Dallas Turner in the first round was a surprise but could prove to be a steal as he is considered one of the best edge rushers in the draft. Kyrie Jackson has the potential to be a standout cornerback for the Vikings, with a profile that resembles former Viking Xavier Rhodes. Walter Rouse, a biomedical engineering student, brings versatility to the offensive line and could be a valuable backup for Christian Darrisaw. The Vikings' decision to draft kicker Will Reichard shows their commitment to improving their special teams unit and the importance they place on reliable kicking. Drafting kickers and punters in the later rounds can be a strategic move to secure a talented player and improve the team's overall performance. The Minnesota Vikings made several draft picks that have the potential to make an impact on the team. There is excitement around the potential of kicker Will Riker, who has a strong track record in college. Offensive lineman Michael Juergens could potentially start at left guard and provide depth to the offensive line. Defensive lineman Levi Drake Rodriguez is seen as an overlooked prospect who could make a splash in training camp. The next big headlines for the Vikings include the announcement of their London game, the release of the 2024 schedule, and a potential contract extension for Justin Jefferson. There is a need for a veteran wide receiver to fill the WR3 position and improve the team's offensive weapons - like Tyler Boyd Subscribe to the Wobcast 2.0 YouTube Channel: http://bit.ly/3lUxnIN For more Minnesota Vikings content: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCFl0FmZ6VGzR5DDEGUcPvqQ Follow Us on Twitter: https://twitter.com/wobby Follow Us on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/thewobcast/ Listen to our Podcast: https://linktr.ee/thewobcast Hosted by Mike Wobschall and Gyles Uhlenhopp   #vikings #nfldraft #tylerboyd #minnesota #nfldraft #vikingsdraft #vikingsnews

Untitled Star Trek Project

Star Trek: The Next Generation, Series 3, Episode 3. First broadcast on Monday 9 October 1989. On the ravaged surface of the Federation colony planet Rana IV, the crew of the USS Enterprise are surprised to discover an excitingly modernist Malibu home set in a lush, quadrilateral garden; after landing on the planet with an away team, Will Riker is surprised to find himself dangling upside down by his ankles; soon after that Deanna Troi is surprised to find herself suffering from an unpleasant and potentially fatal earworm. Meanwhile, back in 1990, Nathan Bottomley and a very young Joe Ford are increasingly surprised to discover a new season of Star Trek: The Next Generation which is easily surpassing both its predecessors in both competence and interest.

Ever wanted to see Academy Award Winner F. Murray Abraham with a bunch of shit on his face? We'll you're in luck as . . . Data is out of control! Stationed on an unnamed planet on an observation mission, Data blows cover by raging through the small village, shooting his phaser and beating the crap out of his colleagues. He takes his colleagues hostage and fires on ships attempting to approach the planet. When Starfleet Admiral Dougherty informs Picard of Data's actions, the captain and crew blow off their other missions to fly to the rescue. After capturing Data with show tunes and a tricorder, Picard and company beam down to the planet to assess the situation and find a dull and placid settlement of white people in rustic clothing living in a converted outlet mall. But all is not as it seems as the Ba'ku are far from simple proto-Vulan rubes. They are in fact an advanced society that has chosen to retire from the galaxy and live on a planet that keeps them perpetually young. The rings around their planet emit radiation that prevents and even reverses the damage that comes with age, and now the Federation has teamed with a sketchy race of thugs called the Son'A to harvest that energy. There's just one small problem: doing so will make the planet uninhabitable! When Picard finds out what's going on, he decides to defy Dougherty's orders and defend the Ba'ku and the planet from the Son'A with some of the crew while Riker and Geordi take the Enterprise E to alert Starfleet that hijinks are afoot. Terry Matalas proposed the idea of a new series called Star Trek: Legacy, which could feature legacy characters like Worf, Will Riker, Deanna Troi, Seven of Nine, and Raffi. Even Sir Patrick Stewart has expressed interest in returning, although he may not be the central focus of the show. Fans and critics are excited about the potential return to a more classic The Next Generation adventure, especially after the success of Star Trek: Picard. The show could explore a wide open timeline and bring back characters from Deep Space Nine and Voyager. #StarTrek #TheNextGeneration #Legacy #Picard #PatrickStewart #Worf #Riker #DeannaTroi #SevenofNine #Raffi #DeepSpaceNine #Voyager #scifi #tvseries #25thCentury

This is it! This is the big one! For many Start Trek fans, this episode is what cemented our love of this series and this franchise. The terrifying enemy of the soulless Borg are back, and the top brass sends in the Shelby. The commander is introduced as an expert in Borg tactics and a foil to one Will Riker. They are at odds from the start, but they learn how to trust each other when the Enterprise needs them most. Abducted Picard transforming into Locutus of Borg is quick and dirty, and the crew needs to fight tooth and nail to get him back and maybe save humanity in the process. Guinan isn't sure victory is possible, but she'll take survival. So will Riker, apparently. This week the Enterprise crew come upon a cargo ship in need of repair, it's sole crew member turns out to be more than anyone expected. This guest brings trouble, romance and frustration (for Riker) with him, he also causes Data to try to learn how to be funny. Because of him the Enterprise finds itself in the middle of two warring Father's hellbent on seeing him either married or put to death, a matter which Captain Picard has to solve. All in all it's a slow day for the Enterprise crew. Will Data become a genius comedian? Will Riker see all the single women stolen from him? Will war erupt over a stolen jewel and a pregnant teen? Does Terri Hatcher's hair hold any secrets? All these questions and more will be answer in this episode of Hailing Frequencies Open.

This week we find the crew of the Enterprise on their way to provide emergency medical help in the Rachelis System, however they encounter a medical mystery of their own. In this season 2 premiere we are introduced to Dr Katherine Pulaski, who finds her first task as the Enterprise's Chief Medical Officer isn't to stop a plague but to see Counselor Troi through a surprise pregnancy. Captain Picard and the rest of the Senior Staff do not handle it well, but all is not what it seems. Meanwhile, Wesley Crusher grapples with the decision whether to stay on the Enterprise or join his mother on Earth. He seeks guidance from another new crew member, Guinan, the new manager of 10 Forward. Will DeAnna have a successful pregnancy and a healthy baby? Will Wesley stay on the Enterprise? Will Riker get over himself? Will Pulaski and Picard hate each other? Is Guinan the smartest person on the ship? Will they make it to the plague ridden system to provide the help needed? Will Worf overreact and bring a security detail into the delivery room? All these questions and more will be answered on this week's episode of Hailing Frequencies Open.

The Enterprise discovers a Federation outpost has been all torn up, and the lovely Beverly Crusher uses a blood sample left behind to track down the attackers. It's those pesky Gatherers, a rebellious offshoot of the Acamarians. Picard gets it into his bald little head that he can solve this whole problem by dragging Marouk, Sovereign of Acamar, into peace talks with the Gatherers. Sounds reasonable enough except the Gatherers are rowdy, mullet-sporting goofballs who enjoy Mad Max cosplay, and Marouk is a stone cold square (L7, baby). While Picard is trying to settle a centuries old dispute, Number One is trying to get lucky with Yuta, Marouk's chef and food taster who has a dark secret. Will Picard successfully unite these warring people? Will Riker phaser another notch in his bed post? Will someone tell Brull to get his damned boots off the table? The Enterprise is headed to Mintaka III to deliver supplies and repair a failing, faulty reactor belonging to a bunch of Federation scientists who have been studying the natives. Seems harmless enough until the reactor starts going cattywampus just before it goes kablooey, blowing up their hidden observation post. Wouldn't ya know it? A couple of Mintakians just happen to be passing by and see the newly visible “duck blind” just as the Away Team is fixing stuff and people. One of the Mintakians, Liko, ends up seriously injured, and Bev tosses the Prime Directive out the door to beam him up for medical aid. “Wipe his memory,” says a peeved Picard, but when they beam Liko's ass back home, he still remembers his trip to the Enterprise and believes Picard is  . . . a god! The next thing you know, Troi and Riker are doing some Mintakian cosplay to try and recover a lost scientist, and Picard has to convince the Mintakian's leader he's just a cranky old man in a ship. Oh the hijinks! Will Riker and Troi be able to save the missing scientist? Will Troi end up sacrificed to appease a cranky Picard? Will someone please give Liko a haircut?

Rebinging Star Trek DS9: Defiant Hello Star Trek fans! Welcome to Season 3 Episode 9 of Deep Space Nine: Defiant. In this episode, we have a very special guest star in Jonathan Frakes...but it's a Jonathan Frakes with sideburns (that is a clue of something apparently)? Also in this episode, we have a very cranky over-worked Kira whose head is turned when Riker turns on his charm. Defiant Kira is having a bad day and is snapping at everyone. Bashir eventually decides she needs a vacation and orders her off duty and into Quark's for some "fun." While she's chilling at Quark's she meets (supposedly) William T. Riker from the Enterprise. They spend a fun evening together chatting and Kira is distracted by his charm and beauty....in fact...she's so distracted that she gives him access to the Defiant's systems...and whooops....shouldn't have done that, because this in fact is not Will Riker! And we are in for some big trouble. What's this rebinge thing? It's a re-watch of a thing you've already seen but love to watch and talk about. We go deep with every episode, walking you through every scene and analyzing all of the characters and story lines. Nepenthe. The last time that we saw Will Riker and Deanna Troi together with Jean-Luc Picard was in Star Trek: Nemesis, when a newly married Captain Riker and Commander Troi were about to embark on adventures aboard the USS Titan. Twenty years later, the couple—now retired—returns in the series Star Trek: Picard for a heartfelt reunion with their beloved captain. Lending a helping hand, they provide Picard and Soji much-needed refuge at their peaceful home on the beautiful planet Nepenthe as they try to digest the dramatic events that have turned lives upside down. In this episode of The Line, hosts Brandon-Shea Mutala, Justin Oser, and Chrissie De Clerck-Szilagyi discuss the seventh episode of Star Trek: Picard, “Nepenthe.” We explore the much-anticipated meeting of TNG favorites, Will and Deanna's charming daughter Kestra and her friendship with Soji, and the dangerous turn of events for Elnor and Hugh back on the Artifact. We also discuss the worlds and languages invented by Thaddeus Troi-Riker, what may be happening with Rios, Jurati, and Raffi, and the disturbing images we see in a mind-meld between Commodore Oh and Jurati.
