This study explores forgiveness, restoration and reconciliation through the stories of Joseph and Yeshua (Jesus). Drawing from Genesis, Zechariah and Luke, we examine how Heaven models humility, letting go of grudges and embracing mercy. Messiah embodies the Yobel — the Jubilee release from debts (and related enslavement). Messiah also fleshes out the scriptural importance of community transformation and the need to welcome back those who have changed. Ultimately, we're called to forgive as Heaven has forgiven us, modeling divine desire for compassion on the world.

Firing Jerome Powell, the chair of the Federal Reserve, has long been on President Donald Trump's wish list. Despite nominating Powell to run the country's central bank in his first term, Trump might be gearing up to fire Powell at any moment. Ousting Powell could add to an already precarious economic situation, fueled in part by Trump's large cuts to the federal workforce and threat of tariffs against major trading partners. Sometimes it's hard to know if Trump is just smack talking or if he really means something. Trump's Department of Justice now has criminal investigations open for both former CIA Director John Brennan and former FBI Director James Comey. Federal officials say both investigations are in connection with the Trump–Russia probe and include allegedly making false statements to Congress. Trump is talking about a federal takeover of Washington DC and possibly New York City too.
