Welcome to the Gospel in a Year on the Catholic Sprouts Podcast. This year we will walk together through all 4 Gospels. The fun officially starts next week. This week we are preparing by discussing what to expect from the Gospel in a Year. On this episode we discuss the Synoptic Gospels and which of the three was (maybe) written first. To get the most out of this journey through the Gospels, we suggest you do the following two things to prepare: 1 PRINT THE GOSPEL IN A YEAR NOTEBOOK. It's free and ready for you right here --> : http://catholicsprouts.com/the-gospels-in-a-year-on-the-catholic-sprouts-podcast 2 LOCATE A BIBLE! We will be reading from the New American Bible Revised Edition (NABRE), so that is the best translation to follow along with for young Catholics. However, if you have older Catholics, it's fun to follow along in another great Catholic translation (we recommend either the Revised Standard Version, Catholic Edition (RSV-CE) and the New Revised Standard Version, Catholic Edition (NRSV-CE)). Thank you for joining us! Come Lord Jesus!

THE END OF THE WORLD - Come Lord Jesus Revelation 22:20-21 Randy Lovelace | August 3, 2025
Come, Lord Jesus by Pastor Ryan Smith. Watch online www.hopechurchlowell.com/live The post Come, Lord Jesus appeared first on Hope Community Church Of Lowell.
This is the final teaching in our Revelation series. Pastor Darren walks through the last chapter of the Bible and shows how it's not just a closing word. It's a call to live differently now.Revelation doesn't point us to escape. It points us to Jesus. The time is near doesn't mean countdown clocks. It means Jesus is already on the move. The question is: are we living like it?This teaching gives clear ways to respond:▪ Burn the bridges back to comfort and compromise▪ Live like heaven has already started▪ Step into your everyday life with courage, love, and urgency▪ Carry the name of Jesus into dark places▪ Stay awake, stay faithful, and keep saying yesJesus is present. He's coming. And he's inviting us to live like it.Come, Lord Jesus.
In this final sermon on the book of Revelation, we hear the concluding appeal of Christ Himself: “Behold, I am coming quickly.” This message, found in Revelation 22, is not merely a closing remark—it is a climactic exhortation that brings together all the themes of the book and presses them upon the heart of the Church.
Ruling Elder Robbie PageThe Father, through His Son Jesus, by the power of the Spirit, will bring justice to all nations and rulers in heaven and on earth.
Holy Habits series, Ps. Jon Norman, 29 June 2025
There is no doubt the world is a place of great need, and it's easy to feel overwhelmed by the extent and complexity of that need. It's hard to know where to even begin. Can do we end hunger? Can we fix unjust systems? Can we save the world? Only God can heal us and make whole what we have broken. God demonstrated this on the cross. Instead of creation ending in death, a new path was opened. In him, our deep wrong is transformed so that we, too, can reflect and reveal the love of God. We don't have to fix the world in our lifetime. We don't have to win the war against evil. This is God's world and God loves the world and Jesus is coming again. It's not all up to us. We are free to joyfully reflect God's love without feeling pressure to do more than we can do.

Come, Lord Jesus! by Jesus the Good Shepherd Anglican Church
Christine reflects on these last words of Revelation, “Come, Lord Jesus,” as a cry for God's presence, healing and renewal in a world marked by pain and longing. This prayer is our heart's cry, calling seekers of all kinds to embrace both personal transformation and communal action, aligning our lives with Christ's vision of justice and healing. John's vision in Revelation 21-22 paints a vivid picture of heaven coming to earth, challenging us to become co-creators in the work of renewal. We're invited to embody this prayer through repentance, hope, and active participation in God's kingdom.
Revelation ends with a simple prayer - a prayer that acts as both a cry of defiance and dependence: come, Lord Jesus. How do we live in a world in which His reign sometimes feels absent? And how might we seek this future we pray for in the present?
“And behold, I am coming soon. Blessed is the one who keeps the words of the prophecy of this book” (Revelation 22:7). Hallelujah!
As the disciples came down from the mountain of Ascension, they had two prayers. They prayed that Christ would send the promised Helper who proceeds from the Father. They prayed, "Maranatha. Come Lord Jesus." The church still prays for these things today.

Bible Prophecy Under the Microscope-Episode 40 Gary begins reviewing John Piper's book, Come Lord Jesus. Most Christians haven't even thought about what it means that Jesus "comes," and definitely not in the context of many references to God "coming" in the Old Testament. This is very important and necessary to defining the entire "end time" framework.
Revelation 22:6-21 Rejoicingly, Obey the Word (6-9) Relentlessly, Declare the Word(10-17) Rightly, Divide the Word (18-19) Readily, Welcome the Word (20,21)
In Revelation 21–22, we glimpse the breathtaking finale of God's story—a world made new. The brokenness of Eden is reversed as heaven descends to earth, and the dwelling place of God is once again with humanity. No more death, mourning, or pain—only everlasting joy. The holy city, the New Jerusalem, shines with the brilliance of God's glory, and the river of life flows freely from His throne. The tree of life, once barred, now stands open for all who belong to the Lamb. The curse is broken. The King is here. And the Bride is ready. This is not just a future hope—it redefines how we live now. The Spirit and the Bride say, "Come."Key Themes:· The City of God: A massive, radiant New Jerusalem, crafted by God Himself, the forever home for His people. (Revelation 21:9–21)· God's Presence Fully Restored: There is no temple, for God and the Lamb are the city's temple. The city is illuminated by His glory alone. (Revelation 21:22–27)· The Tree and River of Life: Flowing from God's throne, the river waters the city, and the tree of life bears fruit for the healing of the nations. (Revelation 22:1–5)· A Final Call to Faithfulness: Jesus promises His return and calls His people to keep trusting, worshiping, and longing for Him. (Revelation 22:6–21)· The Reversal of the Curse: Sin, death, and darkness are banished. Only those whose names are written in the Lamb's Book of Life will enter. (Revelation 22:3, 14)Reflection:As Revelation closes, the story comes full circle—from a garden lost to a garden restored. Eden returns, but it is even greater than before. It's a magnificent city. In this final vision, we are confronted with a choice: Will we live now for the city that is coming? Will we worship God alone, trust His promises, and endure in hope? The Spirit and the Bride call us to Come. The King is coming soon. May we be ready to welcome Him.Key Texts:· Revelation 21–22· Genesis 2–3· John 7:37–39· Ezekiel 47:1–12· Psalm 23· Matthew 5:8· Romans 8:18–25Support Our Mission:Your generosity helps us proclaim Christ as King and equip disciples to make disciples.https://alloflife.churchcenter.com/givingVisit Our Website:www.alloflife.church

John 4:35 states, “Do you not say, ‘There are still four months and then comes the harvest'? Behold, I say to you, lift up your eyes and look at the fields, for they are already white for harvest!” There's a great urgency for the Lord of the Harvest to thrust forth labourers. Revival is always unto the harvest and the harvest is unto the Marantha cry, “Come Lord Jesus, come!” This global harvest is going to be unto His Second Coming. Will you be in or out?

This past Sunday Jeremiah wrapped up our series in the book of Revelation by exhorting us to have faith in Christ and the promises found in His final words to the Church. We were reminded to be doers of the Word and that one day the door for repentance will close. Jeremiah gave us a final charge to be hopeful for Christ's return, and to desire more of the love our Savior wants to give us in a deeper relationship with Him. I remember the moment I laid eyes on the woman with her hair put up under an ascot cap. We were both in a bar called The Whig in downtown Columbia, S.C. Our church used social events like this to draw in people who would not grace the doorway of a church building. We were there with separate groups who attended the same church. As I was introduced to her, I could not help but notice that she is a fine looking lady, followed by the second thought, she is way out of my league.Fast forward a few years, and butchering this story, I stood on the doorsteps of the church with a nervous anticipation of our nuptials. Only God could have arranged this marriage, I wasn't worthy, am not worthy, and yet I stand here now, ring on finger, and have wifed up the belle of the ball! The same story is playing out in God's redemptive plan, I was not worthy and am not worthy apart from His gift of grace and righteousness and yet Almighty God has arranged a Day for Christ to be united with His Bride, the Church, you and I made whole in the presence of our God for eternity. Oh how we are too long for that day!Hebrews 12:1b-2a let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith.MARANATHA, COME LORD JESUS!Pastor Matthew McCarter

When He comes, all things will be made new, we will live and work in harmony with God forever, and the fulfillment of every last one of His promises will come to pass!

The final chapter of Revelation serves as a powerful epilogue emphasizing Christ's ultimate victory and imminent return. God's Word stands as trustworthy and true, requiring believers to maintain its integrity without addition or subtraction. The promise of Christ's return should motivate holy living, create anticipation, and remind us of eternal destinies. As we await His return, believers are called to exalt Christ, remain obedient to Scripture, and build strong community while sharing hope with others.
