    Ivy Insights

The Stand Up For The Truth Podcast is an exceptional podcast that provides a biblical perspective on current events and encourages listeners to deepen their understanding of the Bible. As a busy mom, this podcast has been a lifeline for me to stay grounded in my faith and navigate the challenges of the world we live in. I appreciate the dedication and hard work that David Fiorazo and Mary Danielson put into creating each episode. Their commitment to spreading truth is evident, and I am grateful for their insights and the guests they bring on the show.

One of the best aspects of this podcast is its ability to provide a biblical perspective on current events. David and Mary tackle important issues with clarity and wisdom, always pointing back to Scripture as their guide. This helps me to understand how my faith intersects with what is happening in the world, and it equips me to have meaningful conversations with others about these topics.

Another great aspect of this podcast is the diverse range of guests they bring on. Whether it's theologians, pastors, or cultural commentators, each guest brings a unique perspective that adds depth and richness to the discussions. It's refreshing to hear from different voices within Christianity who are all committed to upholding biblical truth.

If there was one aspect that could be improved upon, it would be diversifying the topics covered in each episode. While I appreciate their focus on current events, sometimes it feels like they circle back to the same few subjects repeatedly. It would be beneficial to explore a wider range of topics within the context of biblical truth.

In conclusion, The Stand Up For The Truth Podcast is an invaluable resource for anyone seeking a biblical perspective on current events. David Fiorazo and Mary Danielson are dedicated hosts who provide insightful commentary and bring on thought-provoking guests. This podcast has strengthened my faith, deepened my understanding of Scripture, and given me tools to engage with the world around me from a biblical worldview. I highly recommend it to anyone seeking truth and encouragement in their walk with Christ.

J Warner Wallace: Identity Crisis – Christ or Culture?

Mary welcomes back premier apologist J. Warner Wallace to talk about our identity in Christ, and our identity in Christ in –  America. He enjoys asking his audiences questions like ” Why Are You a Christian?” and “Why Aren’t You a Christian?”. The answers to those simple questions tell him and us a lot about the state of the church today. Our identity is everything. In Christ it’s “received, not achieved”. But in the culture it might be based on your identity politics, your social, economic and educational status, or your appearance – and a host of other qualifiers. In Christ, we already should know who we are based on Who He is, and that should set the stage for everything we say and do. Does it? Why is the church having an identity crisis then, because the Bible tells us all about Whom we worship and how to live. But we are so busy deconstructing, taking dominion, and worrying about who is in charge of the world that we just forget who we are and what the church is for. And then there is social media where we are all grappling to state and defend our own identity. A full hour of reasoning together on the church’s identity crisis here in 2026.       Stand Up For The Truth Videos: https://rumble.com/user/CTRNOnline & https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCgQQSvKiMcglId7oGc5c46A

What is dispensationalism? What is the alternate view, covenant theology? Many Christians don’t understand why dispensationalism is being attacked with such vigor; perhaps those doing the attacking don’t either but the prevailing mood today is, there is no rapture or at least not one that takes the Christians out of the world before judgment. And Israel? Well, they aren’t even in the picture and what’s more, that’s not Israel over in, well, Israel. On today’s SUFTT, Mary starts with biblical interpretive systems of prophecy and from there expands on the really big picture of dispensationalism and how it beautifully fits the historical-grammatical-literal interpretation of Scripture. Are we seeing the church age wrap up and the Day of the Lord commence? We look at the history of the Jews, the Temples that have come and gone and why; and why the rapture is as important to us as it would be to Israel. A full hour of fascinating bunny trails. In today’s news cycle, what is drawing the most attention is competing ideologies: Islam, Communism, Darwinism – and even Ai? Is that an ideology, or just a basket of algorithms? We talk about all these movements that are converging on our world all at once. Meanwhile, the Christian voice is being drowned out, by design – and yet, as Gamaliel famously said in Acts 5:38-39, “ And now I say to you, keep away from these men and let them alone; for if this plan or this work is of men, it will come to nothing;  but if it is of God, you cannot overthrow it—lest you even be found to fight against God.” And all these ideologies do just that – fight against God. But God is on the throne, we read the end of the book and we know who wins. So how can we come against all these philosophies of men and still be heard? The still small voice of God that Elijah heard still saves – one heart at a time. What can man do to me? A timely discussion of ideologies and elections and when it all comes to nothing.

Dr. JB Hixson Mary welcomes pastor and author JB Hixson back to SUFTT to talk about toning down the chaos and pressure and spending time in the Lord’s presence. Life used to pace like a slow-cooker (“crock pot” for all you Boomer/Millennial types) but now it’s a pressure cooker, no longer even the front burner or microwave. Faster doesn’t mean better, and in the spiritual realm of things, faster and with a side of drama produces not much except Christianity Lite. Today we pace ourselves through 1 Kings 19 and the drama that was the life of Elijah at times. Having just gone through a tumult with the prophets of Baal, he finds himself in need of rest before he can go on. By the time he gets to that cave in Horeb, he’s depleted and depressed and wondering what’s next. It’s then that the Lord speaks to him, but in that still small way that we hear when the Spirit is working in hearts. After letting him pour out his heart, God sends him on his way. It’s not by might, nor by power, but by His Spirit.       Stand Up For The Truth Videos: https://rumble.com/user/CTRNOnline & https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCgQQSvKiMcglId7oGc5c46A

Trey has his finger on the pulse of the moral issues that affect our churches and our families. Today we look at the current SCOTUS cases on trans athletes in women’s sports. Trey gives us the rundown on those cases and why he has reason for optimism. Then we look at the first amendment as it relates to protesters storming churches. Whether it’s for attention or to bait Christians about race and their perspectives on what is important, we have to see what our rights are as believers. We also take a look at how our kids can be better protected online, since parents aren’t always the best gatekeepers – although that is their job. Finally we look at Human Trafficking Prevention month. We might hear the details once or twice, but many of us haven’t had time or inclination to really understand it. But most of us have or will encounter Mormons or Mormonism in the course of our Christian walk and so whatever we can glean from someone who has studied it for decades will probably prove to be useful. Tim and Mary talk about two very timely, and ancient destinies: the modern EU, destined to bring forth antichrist, and Israel, destined for redemption through Jesus Christ. The EU is at a crossroads in that the world sees it as a supranational failure of bureaucracy and potential tyranny. Israel has neighbor problems, but they will not only do what they must to survive, they will continue to pursue a Temple, and await the Messiah. The Sanhedrin met recently to petition heaven to reveal her Messiah and rebuild that third Temple. They also want the spirit of prophecy revived, but Jesus IS their Prophet, Priest, and King. Mary welcomes author and watchman David Spagnola to talk about what we need to heed in this late hour regarding the church. The “third watch” of the night in the Bible represented a specific military guard shift and symbolized alertness, readiness and things that go bump in the deep night. As a church, David warns us in his book, “The Silent Pulpit” of the dangers, toils and snares of the times we live in, specifically things preachers no longer preach.  As a watchman, he exposes the patterns that churches have fallen into, thinking they are simply “doing church” when in reality the slide toward lukewarmness is so far gone, one wonders what the church was ever supposed to look like anymore. David has a love for the church and Bible prophecy and while writing about such things is grievous and sobering, to fail to warn the church is to be a watchmen that has fallen asleep on his or her shift. And at this point, it’s the late shifts that are the most difficult.   Stand Up For The Truth Videos: https://rumble.com/user/CTRNOnline & https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCgQQSvKiMcglId7oGc5c46A

Replay – Dave Wager: Four Old Lessons

[Originally aired 3/2/26]  Stand Up For The Truth features Dave Wager teaching solo, walking listeners through what he calls “four old lessons” from the book of Job, anchored by 1 Peter 5:8, the warning to stay alert because the devil prowls like a roaring lion. Dave frames the whole conversation around “principles” versus opinions, perspectives, or methods. Principles do not change, regardless of feelings or culture, and Job's story is used as a clear example. He starts with Job 1, highlighting Job's integrity and unusual blessing, then pulls back the curtain to Job 1:6 and the heavenly scene where God points to Job as blameless and upright, showing that what heaven calls “great” is character, not comfort. From there, Dave lays out the four lessons: (1) there is an active spiritual battle, (2) the fight centers on people, our allegiance and trust in God, (3) the crowd, even close friends, cannot define truth, and (4) believers must keep growing through humility and repentance. Along the way he illustrates spiritual attack with a vivid story about a cat tormenting a chipmunk, and he warns that deception often feels like “light” (2 Corinthians 11:14). Job's response to loss becomes a model for suffering with worship and steady truth (Job 1:21), and God's questioning in Job 38 becomes a reminder to focus on what we know about God when we cannot explain what we are living through. Dave closes by re-centering “blessing” as being used by God to represent Him, not simply having ease, and points listeners to God's higher ways (Isaiah 55:8–9) and His proven Word as refuge (Psalm 18:30).

They are the founders and directors of Seeds of Hope Nigeria, a Christ-centered ministry dedicated to restoring hope to vulnerable and displaced children through the love of Christ. Born and raised in Nigeria, Bamshak survived the horrific religious violence that has plagued his homeland for more than two decades. Witnessing the loss of loved ones and experiencing God's miraculous protection transformed his life and ignited a calling to serve those whose lives have been shattered by conflict. Bamshak met his wife, Makayla, from Green Bay, Wisconsin, while serving as missionaries with Youth With A Mission (YWAM) in the Philippines. After more than ten years of ministry together in the Philippines and Nigeria, they founded Seeds of Hope Nigeria in 2017 in response to God's call to care for displaced children and share the hope of the Gospel. Under their leadership, it has grown into a thriving ministry that provides a safe home, Christian education, discipleship, vocational training, and pastoral care for vulnerable children. Their vision extends beyond meeting immediate needs—they are raising Christ-centered leaders who will bring lasting hope and transformation to Nigeria and beyond. Today Mary takes on the idea of Trojan Horses – that mythical wooden beast that was used to fool the citizens of Troy, thinking that the Greeks were bearing parting gifts when in reality they were intending to capture the city of Troy (modern day Turkey). No offense to Greeks, but it’s where we get the phrase, “beware Greeks bearing gifts” – which if you mean bible study, they have given us enough to study for a lifetime. Rather, today’s edition of SUFTT explores the finer points of Trojan Horses in our culture, which, in these highly deceptive times, are multiple. Ai, digital devices, politics, religious movements – all Trojan Horses that can deceive and derail and will ultimately bring humanity together under antichrist. We talk about Mamdani, Islam, Christianity, ravenous wolves looking like sheep – and all the ways we are being set up. But as believers, we must never be conformed to this world but transformed by the renewing of our minds, so that we can discern God’s will. (Romans 12:2). On today’s edition of SUFTT, Tim and Mary look at the proverbial canary in the coal mine – warning shots, test patterns, wake up calls and shots across the bow – all things God uses to get our attention on the times. The prophets at the very least, who they chose not to listen to, embodied God’s early warning system. In this case, Israel being not just God’s time clock but is also a warning and a test as to how we will treat and deal with a regathered Israel that God will redeem. The professing church is failing at it in many ways, completely misunderstanding Scripture about how He feels about His people. God’s Word is still the plumb line. How Israel is treated is actually a wake up call as well, as will be how the world treats the church through hate crime legislation and flat out persecution. Many will lose their lives in the tribulation from martyrdom, the Bible is clear about that. Birth pangs too, are warnings that God uses to preview the tribulation. Mary welcomes back David Bowen for a thoughtful conversation on socialism in America. While it’s hardly a new headline, it appears that the election of the Muslim/Communist in NYC is going to have ripple effects, and largely intentional. With the Democratic Socialist party taking shape in the liberal cities of our nation, more and more candidates are emboldened and showing their true colors. We define socialism, track it’s unsuccessful march around the globe, and ask ourselves, “why now?” type of questions. Surely bible prophecy must fit in and the rise of Antichrist. But for now, the youth, who have no experiential knowledge of the Cold War or Vietnam era, seem to think it is a good fit to level the playing field of politics and economics. Which they are wrong about of course because socialism has failed everywhere it has been tried, and millions have died. Does that matter? Of course it does. We look at it’s connection with Islam, antisemitism, and the last days.     Stand Up For The Truth Videos: https://rumble.com/user/CTRNOnline & https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCgQQSvKiMcglId7oGc5c46A

We in the West think of wars and bombs as such as having a beginning, and middle, and an end, with a clear winner. A conqueror.  But in these days of Ai infrastructure and deal making, that should not be a foregone conclusion. What technocracy does is aim at infrastructure. It is in the process of building, nor confronting. Whatever we might think about what the narrative is over there, we might have to rethink it all thanks to Ai. Patrick gives a perspective on this and on the new Prime Minister of Iraq – a true Trump clone – that confirms that trade and investment ala Jared Kushner and Steve Witkoff is what is really going on. We will look at those biblical skirmishes, the middle ages, and the rise of the British Empire when Islam was forced to grapple with the then-Christian element of Europe. Then it’s on to shahs and ayatollahs and the 1970s under Jimmy Carter who gave us Hamas, Hezbollah and Houthis, simply by campaigning for the Ayatollah over the Shah. Mary welcomes back Don Veinot to discuss pastoring in the digital age: are pastors aware of the ways social media is shaping those in their care? One recent study reports that teens spend an astounding 10 hours every day on their cell phones, with tweens (ages 8-12) logging in at nearly 6 hours. Adults, on average, devote four hours and 25 minutes to scrolling. This means adults will spend over two months on their phones this year. When you consider that most Christians only spend a handful of hours each week worshiping, studying the bible, and in fellowship, we have to ask if we are being discipled more by our devices than anything else. In the 1970s even, what shaped youth was school, parents, community, perhaps church, and books and music; sometimes TV. But now capturing hearts and minds in these last days is a simple scroll away.  Are we keeping up? How can the church counter any of its influence? Is it too late? Communicating with the lost sometimes is reduced to arguing on social media, but that is reducing a pretty complex interaction to trying to out-talk and outlast people we don’t really know, about complex topics that the person probably already has strong opinions about. In the current social landscape, there must be a better way to reason with people and get to the heart of the matter. It’s not about facts that we can convincingly debate, it’s spiritual, and people already have their own preconceived ideas and emotional investments concerning God, and life and death. Is that landscape conducive to contending for the faith? Jay helps the listener understand that there is a way to stick with biblical “starting points” to seek to convince people that 1) God exists and 2) the Bible is His Word, and all the ramifications of that. Colonel and Chaplain in the US Army, Ray Moore has served for over forty years in pastoral ministry as a campus pastor, a congregational minister, an Army Chaplain or Director of a Christian ministry. Ray is co-founder of Frontline Ministries, Inc., and currently serves as the President of the Board. Exodus Mandate is a project of Frontline Ministries, which focuses on prayer, revival and Christian education. Ray is one of the Executive Producers of the 2011 award-winning film, IndoctriNation: Public Schools and the Decline of Christianity in America. Today we are going to talk about his book, The Promise of Jonadab by Ray and his wife Gail. Jonadab, found in 2 Kings 10 and Jeremiah 35 is a minor OT character but one who lives on as an example of passing the torch of faith to subsequent generations, leaving a godly legacy for all to observe and understand. Originally aired 7/7/25 – Stand Up For The Truth with host Dave Wager, featuring a heartfelt conversation with longtime friend and guest, Heidi. Heidi shares her journey of faith that began as a young camper at Silver Birch Ranch, where she first trusted Christ—and how that same faith is carrying her now through a cancer diagnosis. With honesty and warmth, she and Dave reflect on God’s provision in the midst of trials, drawing from Psalm 119:71: “My suffering was good for me, for it taught me to pay attention to your decrees.” This episode offers an encouraging reminder that even in hardship, God is not absent—He is teaching, refining, and holding us steady. Listeners will hear personal stories of how Heidi and her family are walking through treatment with peace and purpose. From the faithfulness of God in hospital rooms to the small acts of love from her children at home, her testimony points to a deeper truth: suffering doesn't define us—God does. If you've ever wondered how to trust God when life takes a hard turn, this conversation will meet you where you are and gently lift your eyes to the One who never lets go. Mary welcomes back Creationist Russ Miller to explore the area of apologetics most attacked by secularists. Because, if there is no young earth, no flood, no instantaneous creation of the heavens, then death ruled before Adam and Eve fell; it also undermines the simple gospel. The fact that the church continues to increasingly accept the Old Earth (millions and millions of years) theory of creation tells us that some pretty basic Genesis facts are being ignored and/or rejected. Of course, Peter in 2 Peter tells us that they “willingly forget” various creation details and that pesky flood, which also stands for the judgment of a sinful world. We talk about the continents, star light and time, and rock strata. Russ is one of those very knowledgeable creationists who truly can defend the faith in a sound, biblical manner.     Stand Up For The Truth Videos: https://rumble.com/user/CTRNOnline & https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCgQQSvKiMcglId7oGc5c46A

Mary welcomes back Chris Quintana to talk about the end of the world as we know it – and how does that make us feel? Well, anxious, exhausted, irritable, pushed to our limit. Where have all the optimists gone? Do they even exist philosophically these days? But wait, there’s more! If we do feel fine, it can only mean one thing: that we are walking with Jesus and realize He is in control. Outside of that, it’s quite possible we are living our most anxious life now and it manifests itself in many ways. Now that the church is not teaching prophecy, or the Bible even, really, what other triggers await? Evil men and seducers, and ravenous wolves make even going to church discouraging. This ought not to be because gathering together as we see the day approaching is not a suggestion from Paul. Taking communion in memory of Him until He returns is a crucial practice as well. We talk about anxiety, what it is, and how to squash it on today’s edition of SUFTT.     Stand Up For The Truth Videos: https://rumble.com/user/CTRNOnline & https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCgQQSvKiMcglId7oGc5c46A

With the “dog days” of Summer upon us, and the Europeans still clueless as to what true Summer heat is like in the south, we bring post-Independence Day headlines. In this uniquely lazy time of year, finding connected headlines is very difficult so we have a real smorgasbord of information. Yet we can always find a way to point to God’s faithfulness and His soon return. Today we have a few thoughts on the 4th in hindsight, namely a thoughtful piece from Ken Ham about how we can sing “God Bless America” but refuse to follow Him and His commands.  Then we look at some of the perils of the upcoming primary and election season, as the uber-radical left attempts to swing our nation so far left it might end up at the fascist right. We also look at the perils of allegory in Bible interpretation, and a new experimental vaccine that might just be the vaxx-to-end-all-vaxxes, which tells us one thing in particular: it was never about a virus, always about a vaxx. A full hour of slightly disjointed but interesting headlines for the Summer of ’26.

On today’s edition of SUFTT, Mary takes a look at Psalm 73 as a much-needed answer to the wrestling we all do in the face of a world gone awry. Levite, prophet and worship leader Asaph, author of a dozen Psalms, takes us on a tour through his heart and mind over the seeming success of the rich and famous of his time. We wonder at times what he all struggled with, since we have all the knowledge of good and evil at our fingertips through global media. Nevertheless, he certainly had his share of wrestlings when it came to being distracted by those who had it all, and gave no thought to their own eternity. Why do people who know they will die at some point seem to not even care how it all ends? Asaph knew that God is good, and He has a covenant with Israel – but he still had lots of deep questions for His Maker. But has God ever taken away those who vex us with instant relief? No, the rich and carefree have been with us always, it is US who change after being with our God, in His house. A great lesson for us all who struggle with cultural issues and how to respond in our hearts with a life of contentment.   Stand Up For The Truth Videos: https://rumble.com/user/CTRNOnline & https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCgQQSvKiMcglId7oGc5c46A

Mary welcomes back Israel expert Jim Fletcher to talk about the winds of change that have blown through the world by looking at a couple of statistics: the 50th commemoration of Entebbe, and the 1000th day of the current war that Israel has bravely fought on multiple fronts. God is surely good to Israel, we see that in hindsight and it flavors our Bible reading time. And He will continue to be, which also flavors our Bible reading time. But not everyone in the church, let alone the world, believes this. We also look at what is happening in New York and beyond, as the democrat party as we know it allows themselves to be bullied by hard-core Communists, or Islamunists, as one pundit put it. Things have been eroding since Mamdani (shockingly) got elected, and now their ideology, plus a generous side order of antisemitism, is being pushed west and legitimized through the ballot box. Tim and Mary confront this news cycle head on as life on earth heats up – ideologically and meterologically. Here in America we expect Summer heat waves and act accordingly. Over across The Pond, not only do they seem to be in denial about the seasons, but they refuse to accommodate and prepare their citizens, leading to shocking loss of life. Why, you ask, in this day and age, would nations forego simple environmental controls? Well, if your citizens have bought the climate change lies, they might say they are willing to sacrifice now to save the planet later. In other words, thank you grandma for giving up your air conditioning AND your life so we can have cool weather later, said no offspring ever. As bizarre as that narrative is, this is how they think over in France. And that global warming really is the fault of Americans who air condition everywhere for a few weeks a year.  You can’t make this stuff up, really. We also talk about supply chains, the Islamic incursion into the Midwest, and of course the Islamunists who are conquering America one election at a time. When Mamdani was elected as mayor of New York, the rest of us weren’t exactly sure if he was the first Asian mayor, the first Muslim mayor, or the first Marxist Mayor. Be that as it may, when it comes to categories, he checks them all and isn’t stopping there with his influence of US politics. We look at the recent march to install his political clones across the fruited plain, and how the shortsightedness of NY voters doesn’t stop at the boundaries of NY. We make the case that antisemitism is actually deeply embedded in the dem platform moving forward. We also look at the SAVE America Act: is it really just about providing ID to vote? Unlikely. Other topics: the UN Pandemic Treaty and the Iran MOU, and with all the words expended on these topics in the media, which ones will stick? His graduate degrees were earned in the field of International Relations from the Fletcher School of Law & Diplomacy of Tufts and Harvard Universities. Before entering the ministry, he had an extensive career in higher education. David is a life-long Bible student, teacher, and preacher. He entered the full-time ministry in 1976 when he was called to serve as the pulpit minister for a church in Irving, Texas.  He has written over 20 books and has contributed to many others. Today we talk about the rising perilous tide all around us, starting with Israel’s brilliant attack on Iran. Then we discuss whether socialism is our expected national doom, as the left ratchets up every cause they can dream of, including antisemitism –  an offense to a holy God. Lawlessness and violence threaten to spill over to any community on any day as the left uses whatever crisis suits them to foment trouble. Never mind that they themselves are lawless at heart, when the president tries to establish law and order, and it is vilified, we know just how far the violence has permeated our fragile sense of society. We also talk about the national marches planned for Saturday as it is Trump’s 79th birthday and the 250th anniversary of our Army. The No Kings Movement is gaining steam from the left and could change the face of our nation yet again. A godly worldview implies that there will be a testing of the spirits and the ongoing action of being a Berean, and when it comes to the news, training ourselves to read between the lines. Today we talk about the Iran deal; with most news commentaries coming against Trump, is there something we are not considering? Not everyone thinks it is a bad deal. We also look at the latest on Fauci, RSV vaccine experiments in the 1960s, and the replacement of Keir Starmer – good, bad or same? But in short order, these same subjects have continued to bring ever clearer understanding of how they all reflect the lateness of the hour. In this updated work, JB presents an even sharper picture of not only what is going on, but the spirit behind it, something the Bible lays out fully when it addresses the pride and pretense of our arch-enemy, Satan. Current events playing out in our world are merely symptoms of the cosmic war, with humans as the spoil. What does the Bible teach us about forgiveness? What in the heart of God prepares us sinful humans to be forgiven, AND to forgive? The thing is, times not withstanding, the Word of God has the final say. And it is the characteristic mercy of God that even allows for it. We look at what mercy is, what grace is, what true forgiveness is – and what it isn’t. Yes people are brutal; they often don’t care about truth or mercy in their deepest inward parts. But God. Mike’s passion is preaching the Bible in a verse-by-verse fashion and training other men to do the same. Pastor Mike is also the author of the book entitled Jesus Christ: The Prince of Preachers. What is usually the message on our greeting cards and in our Fathers’ Day sermons? We can’t say because we probably don’t remember. But when it comes to biblical exhortation for dads, Jesus always brings it down to the heart of the matter – taking up our cross and following Him and seeking the kingdom, because then everything else falls into place. But that cross – that is where everything becomes clear. What is parenting if not a cross, where we die to ourselves and lay down our lives for little people who may never love us in return, or run off without even so much as a thank you? Once that baby is brought home, we are instantly brought low and in need of trusting in God. On today’s edition of SUFTT, we review what it means to be a Berean, as outlined in Acts 17. When Paul was preaching Christ to the Thessalonian Jews, he also had the attention of the Greeks in attendance at the synagogue. Greeks often attended in those early days of the church because they weren’t interested in the rampant paganism, but opted instead to hear about the Jewish Messiah. While the Jews weren’t interested in having their traditional boat rocked, the Greeks of Berea were considered more noble because they were critical thinkers and sought to search the Old Testament daily to see if what Paul said was true, and many got saved. Today we use that context to talk about the ways the church must be Bereans as well – critical thinkers – when it comes to understanding and believing God about Israel and about prophecy. Churches that don’t teach prophecy, which permeates both old and New Testament, are not being Bereans. The challenge to filter everything we hear, every day by the Word of God may require time and diligence but it is of the utmost importance.

Today we look at Spielberg’s “Disclosure” film which opens this week. The real show for believers is what he is saying about the church and his attempts to cause us to “question our beliefs” about how many gods might be out there. And it is all too easy for believers to just fall into line and take on and become not only what and who WE think we are, but also what others think we are. After all, how are we ever going to get along with the culture if we don’t dance to their tune? But as believers, we are not to be conformed to this world in any way. How to break free from that, this is what is important. Christ in me is to live; we are HIS workmanship, not each others’.  For those who have spent any time at all in ministry, there is an expectation to perform and be perfect or at least meet everyone’s needs. Mary welcomes Thomas Littleton to this edition of SUFTT to talk about the descent into compromise over LGBTQ inclusion theology in conservative – yes, conservative – churches. Thomas Littleton is an ordained Southern Baptist minister and evangelist with over 4 1/2 decades on the streets of such places as New Orleans, Atlanta, and New York City (while in New York he worked with David Wilkerson’s Times Square Church, author of The Cross and the Switchblade). He has also done extensive outreach at America’s beaches, university campuses, and foreign fields of Eastern and Western Europe and Central and South America. He has a long history engaging the Arts and LGBT community through heading a Christian Arts based ministry in NW Georgia and worked on the front lines of the AIDS health crisis of the mid 80s and 90s. Littleton knows the origins, methods and goals of the LGBTQ activist movement and the faithful Biblical response for believers anchored in the power of the Gospel by the CROSS and resurrection of Jesus. We talk about his fight for truth over the last dozen years to hold high the standard of the gospel and the truth that can transform any sinner by the power of the Holy Spirit.     Stand Up For The Truth Videos: https://rumble.com/user/CTRNOnline & https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCgQQSvKiMcglId7oGc5c46A

Mary welcomes Ted Greenfield to discuss the wild ride that his life has been. Ted is the founder and director of Invisible Angels, a nonprofit organization providing air transportation for survivors of human trafficking. A commercial pilot, he retired from the FAA in spring 2025, where he served as multimedia producer, creating safety messaging and training for air traffic controllers and pilots. Prior to that he served as a senior instructional systems designer contractor at Lockheed Martin and managing editor for Voice of America's Learning English. The book is, “God is in This Fight: How God Made a Way to Rescue Human Trafficking Survivors” can be found here. In reading this memoir, you get the distinct impression that while us humans focus on the various ministries God gives us, He is equally interested in perfecting, testing, stretching and refining us. That is often lost on us fragile humans, but in this transparent and honest recounting, that is both painfully and joyfully obvious. Ted talks with us about a lifetime of working, waiting and watching for the hand of the Lord.       Stand Up For The Truth Videos: https://rumble.com/user/CTRNOnline & https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCgQQSvKiMcglId7oGc5c46A

Tim and Mary look at some of the things that are ramping up as we head to Summer of ’26. Many people thought that 2026 would be a meltdown kind of year, and that’s certainly a possibility. While it’s kind of fun to think that biting mosquitoes might be vanquished once and for all, global realities set in whether before, during, or after vacations. Ai, for instance, is facing a backlash – or a “hate wave” as people come out against data centers take too much power and oligarchs who have too much power to change the world. Humans being what we are aren’t ready to be superseded by machines, and it’s not a matter of just waiting it out. We also look at protests in Paris all in the name of a sporting victory – which we all know is just another occasion for immigrants to loot and plunder. How is it that Europeans have sold their birthright so easily? All that and more in this installment of headlines, SUFTT style.
