    Ivy Insights

The Stand Up For The Truth Podcast is an exceptional podcast that provides a biblical perspective on current events and encourages listeners to deepen their understanding of the Bible. As a busy mom, this podcast has been a lifeline for me to stay grounded in my faith and navigate the challenges of the world we live in. I appreciate the dedication and hard work that David Fiorazo and Mary Danielson put into creating each episode. Their commitment to spreading truth is evident, and I am grateful for their insights and the guests they bring on the show.

One of the best aspects of this podcast is its ability to provide a biblical perspective on current events. David and Mary tackle important issues with clarity and wisdom, always pointing back to Scripture as their guide. This helps me to understand how my faith intersects with what is happening in the world, and it equips me to have meaningful conversations with others about these topics.

Another great aspect of this podcast is the diverse range of guests they bring on. Whether it's theologians, pastors, or cultural commentators, each guest brings a unique perspective that adds depth and richness to the discussions. It's refreshing to hear from different voices within Christianity who are all committed to upholding biblical truth.

If there was one aspect that could be improved upon, it would be diversifying the topics covered in each episode. While I appreciate their focus on current events, sometimes it feels like they circle back to the same few subjects repeatedly. It would be beneficial to explore a wider range of topics within the context of biblical truth.

In conclusion, The Stand Up For The Truth Podcast is an invaluable resource for anyone seeking a biblical perspective on current events. David Fiorazo and Mary Danielson are dedicated hosts who provide insightful commentary and bring on thought-provoking guests. This podcast has strengthened my faith, deepened my understanding of Scripture, and given me tools to engage with the world around me from a biblical worldview. I highly recommend it to anyone seeking truth and encouragement in their walk with Christ.

    Headlines: The Age of Outrage

Mary Danielsen Mary takes on some headlines today with a theme: why is everyone so angry? In particular, what things just set people off in a frenzy of emotional vitriol? Well, the nation of Israel for one, in particular those peculiar people of God, the Jews (we are all peculiar people according to the Bible) – those set apart as His own. People can’t seem to run out of things to be furious about. The nations, they do rage. We look at an article about Tucker – yes, another one on his encroaching insanity – but this one asks the question, what does he want from the Jews, that he is so obsessed? A foundational look. We also look at Gaza and the Peace Board’s plan to renovate it. But not just with brick and mortar –  it will be the first controlled technocracy piece of real estate on earth. What does that mean? Then we talk about anger, what the Bible says about it and how to avoid just being part of the mob.

Mary welcomes back seasoned apologist Don Veinot of Midwest Christian Outreach to talk about “sycretism” and why the majority of evangelicals embrace it to some level or another. What is syncretism? Is it those dreadful “Co-Exist” bumper stickers, or something more sinister? Syncretism is the mixing of one faith/belief system with another, it is mixing two things that aren't supposed to go together. Accepting parts of each, but denying the whole. But the gospel cannot be divided and conquered to make us more comfortable. However, syncretism is the natural, meaning carnal, response to the Gospel. Some reject the Gospel completely. Others want to accept only part of the Gospel, merging specific aspects of it to fit their own ideas. We give quite a few examples, some of which might surprise the listener. Then we look at deconstruction – what it is and isn’t. One would hope that the one that is disappointed with orthodoxy on any level actually looked deeply into what Christianity actually teaches and then made a sober decision. Or is it emotional, a response to either God or man letting them down? A fundamental hour with Don.     Stand Up For The Truth Videos: https://rumble.com/user/CTRNOnline & https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCgQQSvKiMcglId7oGc5c46A

    Headlines: New Every Morning

Tim and Mary take a look at the news cycle once again, and while it generally resembles all the news cycles, one thing we can count on is that in Jesus, His mercies are new every morning; this can never be true in the world. He is the faithful one, and no matter how tiresome this world becomes, the one thing God says we need is His mercy, not more dark news about man’s inhumanity to man. So we start there, and then try and make sense of this divisive, judgment ready world. Today we look at the continued blame for everything on white men who love Jesus;  Mike Huckabee’s attempt to reason with Tucker; and the world marching to the beat of Antichrist, especially in Europe where the spirit of the AC has preceded him. As interesting as it all is, and helpful to watch the times, Lamentations 3:22-26 says it all:  “Through the Lord’s mercies we are not consumed, because His compassions fail not They are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness. The Lord is my portion, says my soul, therefore I hope in Him! The Lord is good to those who wait for Him, to the soul who seeks Him. It is good that one should hope and wait quietly for the salvation of the Lord.” (NKJV)

Here's some 20th century trivia for you: Did you know that the Theremin, that odd instrument that eventually produced the eerie high-pitched wails for early sci-fi films and a certain Beach Boys hit, was invented by a Soviet spy to transmit military secrets back home as early as the late ‘20s? Truth is often stranger than fiction and radio frequency tech, the true startup of our surveillance age, contains enough dots to connect to keep us busy for years. Katherine is a true expert in all such things, and her book, “Spychips” served as a warning 20 years ago that not only is Big Brother a stalker but keeps stabbing us all in the back.     Stand Up For The Truth Videos: https://rumble.com/user/CTRNOnline & https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCgQQSvKiMcglId7oGc5c46A

Pete Garcia and Mary Danielsen discuss the role of the watchman in the church [Original airdate: 10/20/23]; a lonely role that causes bible prophecy to be marginalized despite every sign in the world that it is on God’s front burner.  Our worldview, which includes the imminent return of Christ, must not cave to biblical illiteracy for the sake of comfort or denial or any kind of theology that teaches that Jesus cannot return until the world has cleaned up all the messes it has made. Translation: “never” – because there is no indication that mankind is going to turn the corner on the darkness that has gripped the planet.  And regarding Israel, it’s truly a spiritual battle and one that humans are all too willing to take sides on – and be wrong at the top of their lungs. Leftist indoctrination of the West about Israel has come home to roost and it’s a battle already begun by principalities and powers in heavenly places. Join us for a timely conversation with Pete. Can you imagine the learning curve in the life of a detective in a major city? How to be one step ahead of people, how to follow up on leads without compromising anything, and why in the world did so-and-so do that to that person? In our lawless world, we are all faced with sorting out such dilemmas at one time or another. In talking to Jim today, we look at a handful of leads that are used in the process of solving crimes, hot or cold. Who did they know? What were their priorities? Why do they keep running even when we know they are surrounded? How can we successfully ID the dangerous types in a world in which everyone is looking for their own ID, true or fake. Motive? Opportunity? While the world loves a good mystery, it does tell us a lot about who we are as humans, and while it seems we are determined to get to the truth in these cases, are we really the lovers of truth we claim to be? Especially when those truths are inconvenient and challenge our status quo. An enlightening hour with a very wise and discerning man. Book ’em Dano. Mary welcomes back Pastor Mike Abendroth to talk about forgiveness, such a timely topic in an age where selfishness and brutality seem to rule. What does the Bible teach us about forgiveness? What in the heart of God prepares us sinful humans to be forgiven, AND to forgive? The thing is, times not withstanding, the Word of God has the final say. And it is the characteristic mercy of God that even allows for it. We look at what mercy is, what grace is, what true forgiveness is – and what it isn’t. Yes people are brutal; they often don’t care about truth or mercy in their deepest inward parts. But God. Mike’s passion is preaching the Bible in a verse-by-verse fashion and training other men to do the same. Pastor Mike is also the author of the book entitled Jesus Christ: The Prince of Preachers. Feeling unsteady, like the earth itself is moving beneath? You are not alone. Despite the fact that the Bible predicts an increase in seismic activity, that’s not today’s topic. We try here on headline day to make a dent in the importance of a few of the biggest topics of the day, the biggest of which, on a global, historical, transformational level, is Ai. I hope we have succeeded in communicating a fraction of what it is, what it is quickly becoming, and why we have to care. The problem with a headline here or there, throwing names and companies out hoping we all remember the players somehow – is that doesn't really give the big picture of why we should all be a bit gobsmacked by it – and educated. Tech IS undergirding our lives right now, at home and at work. In every corner of the world. Today we look at Matt Shumer’s viral February 9 article entitled, “Something Big is Happening”. And he is not wrong. Remember that big 70’s hit, “I Feel the Earth Move”? That’s also not wrong.

Q90 ladies Katie and Mary take a look at a trending topic: Ultra-processed foods (UPFs). With the rise in both colon cancer and dementia among people far too young to worry about such things, fingers are being pointed at our chemical-riddled foods. Not just fast foods but anything in a package. Processed foods, those can be minimally processed with the addition of just water and salt, for instance. Canned veggies, tuna, that sort of thing. But UPFs, those have become way more prevalent on our shelves and have wreaked havoc on our health around the world. We have stopped reading labels it seems, because UPFs are associated with over 30 different chronic health conditions. What are some of the ingredients in UPFs? Seed oils, chemical names we cannot pronounce, sweeteners, salt, emulsifiers, thickeners, “flavor” and “color” enhancers – all that and more are causing inflammation and obesity in astonishing numbers. As wives and moms, we understand our unique placement in the home to see to it that our pregnancies, our kiddos, ourselves, and our mates are as healthy as possible, an important calling. We look at ways we can all save money at the store, the doc office – and the pharmacy. Get off the food grid. And Israel, not exactly a wild card, might get involved if things drag on. But someday we may wake up to a Persian earthquake, politically. Mary welcomes John Haller back to the conversation – and with his extensive understanding of the Middle East we always come away seeing things a bit more clearly. Today is no exception. John has dug deep into the weeds of what is going on over there and “complex” doesn’t begin to cover it at all. October 7, 2023 seems to have ushered in a new world over there (and over here) with a multi-layered event that has resulted in clarity about the players, their demonic hatred for the Jews, and the depths of antisemitism that have laid down a new normal around the world. Continuing down the hole, we have a wounded Iran ready to do whatever they want to bring chaos and violence to a new level. Also rising to the top are new players with hopeful new influence such as Turkey, Qatar, Syria, Oman, the UAE and more. All of a sudden it’s true globalism, and Trump is contributing to it greatly by bringing as many nations as possible to the table. What could possibly go wrong? Tim and Mary are back to stare boldly into the face of another news cycle that seems to get a bit darker by the day. With the Bible’s exhortation to stay alert and awake in hand, we try and make sense of several topics. Iran is first up. Who will strike first, America or Israel? Of course, Israel has threatened to go after Iran for probably 10 years now, so something WILL get done. And with Iran’s own brand of prophecy, as they await their last days leader, they represent an immovable object. There is no negotiating with them. We also look further at Ai, last week’s news of Moltbook as a bot social media platform was entertaining enough. Today’s headline is something about bots looking for humans to do tasks for them and pay them in crypto. Scam, or testing the waters to see how gullible we are? We may never know. We also look at the dark shadow of transgendering our kids, a shameful chapter in American history brought to you by people who hate America, the family unit, and our kids especially. So much to chat about, a full hour of wondering what in the world is next while keeping our lamps trimmed and shining brightly.

Mary welcomes back Pastor Andy Woods for another engaging conversation about things we need to stay on top of: first up is antisemitism. As shocked as we all were with the university protests back in 2023/24, now that those have faded from the headlines, now what? That is the challenge for us all because antisemitism continues to ramp up and if we go numb to it, we are missing a key element in making sure the perpetrators are held accountable. We also look at Jared Kushner’s Gaza plan, part of the Peace Board. So many moving parts here, but rebuilding Gaza is the number 1 goal and it might not take as long as people might think. Also on the agenda: military buildup near Iran; Noah Harari’s somewhat unhinged comments about religion and sacred texts. You cannot make this stuff up but existential types like him have no problem translating our world into an Ai dystopian-antichrist friendly-transhuman-God hating-nightmare. Lots of insights from the very sharp Andy Woods. On today’s FRESH NEW PODCAST, host Dave Wager opens with 1 Corinthians 12:26, a reminder that the Body of Christ is connected, when one member suffers, we suffer together. His guest is Michael Johnson, president of Slavic Gospel Association, who also brings a strong communications background to the role. Michael began his career in international advertising (1986–1995) as an account manager and supervisor serving major consumer brands, then moved into nonprofit agency leadership at KMA Direct Communications and Douglas Shaw and Associates, serving as Senior Vice President for 11 years before rejoining SGA. In this conversation, that blend shows up clearly, he's telling the story of gospel work with clarity, history, and real-world outcomes, while emphasizing that the mission stays rooted in faithful local churches. Michael walks listeners through SGA's roots and purpose. Founded in 1934 by Peter Deyneka, the organization began by supporting believers behind the Iron Curtain through covert Bible distribution and Christian radio partnerships, strengthening Christians who often had to listen in secret at great personal risk. Today, the focus is still the same at its core, equipping local churches instead of sending western missionaries, with a network that includes thousands of evangelical Baptist congregations across the former Soviet region. Michael notes he is building on the biblical and ministry foundation laid by Peter Deyneka and Bob Provost, with Bob continuing to advise as President Emeritus. As the discussion turns to the war in Ukraine, the theme becomes practical compassion, the church as a visible refuge, including their “Heat and Hope” effort to resource churches with generators and supplies so they can serve as centers of warmth, help, and gospel hope during harsh winters.

Yes, Jesus promised to go and prepare a place for us, but he qualifies it like this: “no one comes to the Father except by Me.” Is that exclusive, or inclusive? Or both? No other religion on earth promises heaven to its adherents – and even in Christianity, it further teaches that it must be via a narrow way, and by way of the new birth. Everyone dies, we all have that in common. Life after death? Well, it depends on who you believe for that. What is an afterlife? What can we look forward to in heaven, scripturally speaking? Only Jesus can remove the sting of death with eternal life. How do we know it’s all true? Hint: The Resurrection. Such great news, such a mighty bright future. What does it mean to be “rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic?” Focusing on silly plastic lounge chairs instead of lifeboats? We will ask him about that, along with what exactly Don Lemon was thinking he would encounter when he entered that church; what the protestors think it means to use a concealed carry for running toward trouble; and why Minnesota? We ask Chris what that first amendment means to these peculiar circumstances. We also look at the church’s level of discernment when it comes to charismatic excesses as they relate to the Bethel/Shawn Bolz big tale of gullibility. Dr. JB Hixson Mary welcomes back JB Hixson to talk about trends in the church that bear continual surveillance. Putting together 10 was no challenge at all. So what are we watching? Everything from the state of biblical authority to tech to self-induced isolation from each other. And when you throw in the rise of preterism and the waning of dispensationalism, that tells us an awful lot about interest in the blessed hope. Americans are unique in the world in our emphasis on independence and personal freedoms – that “personal relationship” that is not meant to be stuffed into a bottle but translate into evangelizing, fulfilling the “one anothers” and bearing each others burdens. But all too often all we are seeing is the warning that Paul gave Timothy about the last days and lovers of selfism. Choosing a church based on emotion and what’s in it for us is a community killer. And so many of these trends reflect that, the busy busy church that really doesn’t even disciple, as if being busy is the mark of a Spirit-filled congregation. And just as Paul warns us what flows from selfism is very bad, so it would seem – and a lot of it is, well, really bad. A very full hour with Pastor JB. In her book, she gives a wealth of information on each aspect of sorcery and the paranormal, and how parents can discern if their children are dabbling in it. With so many aspects of it, and so much media, it’s impossible to believe that most kids and teens aren’t dabbling in it. We discuss astrology, oujia boards, psychics, spells, and much more. Before becoming a Christian, Marcia was involved for many years in Eastern spiritual beliefs (Hindu and Buddhist), New Age, and Occult practices. She was also a certified, professional astrologer who taught astrology for several years and served as chairperson of the Astrology Board of Examiners (ABE) and President of the Astrological Society in Atlanta, GA. Through her full-time ministry, Christian Answers for the New Age (CANA), Marcia speaks around the country at churches and conferences and on numerous radio broadcasts, internet webcasts, and podcasts. PASTOR CLAUDE STAUFFER Mary welcomes back Pastor Claude Stauffer of Calvary Chapel in Amityville, NY to talk about the church side of the headlines concerning Iran. The cost of conversion there is a life or death matter of course, because it conflicts in every way with Islam. Is there revival going on there? Or is revival fueling the revolution at this juncture in 2026? We talk about the numbers, the cost and how God continues to use Persia for His own purposes – across the ages. Then we look at discipleship in the New Year, via Matthew 1-4. New Years’ resolutions are pretty useless, but God’s Word never returns void. Since that is our commission, to go and make disciples of all men, what better way to start things out than to learn more about how to do that. Middle America and those who remember what this nation is built upon – what society has always been structured around – aren’t giving up, and they still hold to traditional values. Too bad we can’t continue on economically, because the one-income dream of the 50s and 60s is long past. Why is that? We look at the effects this has had on the family over the last 50 years. We also take a look at the related issue of affordable housing. Are any states at least making an effort to help young families have good affordable housing? If the government is going to tear down all we have known, the least they could do is offer incentives or grants to clean up their mess. Another topic today is a resolution in the assembly to keep churches open in the event of another pandemic attack on our freedoms. How are today’s headlines significant in the scheme of things, including Israel? Why did God give a mention to the Persian empire in Daniel? What is the nature of protests here regarding Iran? We look in-depth at several key bits of information, including the role of the Shah’s son as he tweets encouragement across the fruited internet.  Since Iran is in Bible prophecy we have to at least peek into what is going on. We also look at the United States of Protest, where mob rule, a lynch mob mentality, just might get worse this year. We already know who is fomenting and sponsoring it, buy why do people seem so attracted to all that anger? Because they have been told to be angry? What can we learn if we put both nations side by side? Mary welcomes back Olivier Melnick to talk about the shocking levels of what we might call “totalitarian antisemitism” that exist and why things are so much worse today than in the 1930s and 40s. While the Nazis had their propaganda machine that reached far into Europe, it was nothing compared to the digital propaganda machine we are staring at day in and day out. We discuss the five reasons why we have surpassed that 20th century evil day, and what it means for our world. For anyone who was around then, this concept should be especially frightening, even for those who grew up in the 1960s and 70s, we have to wonder how this was allowed on our watch. We also look at the fear factor for those who live in places where their safety is compromised, and how the pressure to disavow their identity adds to the problem of “erasure”.  A “refusnik” was historically a Jew who was denied the right to leave Russia for Israel from the 1950s to around 1990 when Russia finally allowed Jews to leave. Here in 2026 it also means someone who refuses to allow their culture to be erased. How can we be refusniks, and encourage, stand with, and support those who need a dose of courage in light of this global problem? What other ethnic/race/culture would be allowed to suffer such malevolent wrongdoings, except the Jews?

[Original airdate 1/30/25] In this installment of Stand Up, we explore the archaeological evidence for the Exodus with Creationist Brian Young of the Creation Instruction Association. If you are a student of the Bible and believe it is the Word of God from beginning to end, you might not ever have asked this question over, say, a 7 day creation issue or any other hot topic in the church today. If you ask scholars, or even just generative Ai, you will get the answer that it is a myth and it doesn’t matter because, well, what a great story! But this approach is largely secular – and dangerous. Because history, and especially biblically archaeological history is so exhilarating, we should welcome any evidence that all those people who lived so long ago were part of one of the great events in Israel’s history, and it speaks of a God who tells us exactly what He wants us to know for His good purposes. Given that Israel had grown to represent a fairly large number over the 430 years, evidence of their lives should be available in one form or another. A fascinating topic for discussion and study. On this final headline cycle of 2025, we find ourselves looking at headlines that aren’t terribly surprising. In fact, once again, the main casualty of the world is TRUTH. Everything flows from that. What we lose we can never get back when it comes to fabrications all around us. So we start out by looking at the continuing degradation of truth in the culture outside of Christ. Then we take a page from our “willful ignorance” file, the one that tells us that the people running Australia willfully suppress the truth, just like Romans says will happen. From our “we already knew that” file, we learn that the hysteria about some sort of “Super Flu” was just that – hype. Test more, get bigger numbers. It’s still a pack of lies and here we go again. From our “we knew that was coming” file, we pull out the one that tells us that we have to cancel New Years’ events because of that thing called “global intifada”. What results were the immigration idolators expecting, exactly? And so goes the world as we turn over another day on the calendar. It’s just another day.

Mary Danielsen Well, we told you so: 2026 was coming. And we even counted it down on headline days. So while that’s not terribly profound, we all get a week or two to remember to number our days and God says that’s wisdom. While we’re thinking about it, we often resort to New Year’s resolutions to ease the pain of past fails. It might be related to our behaviour, our self-discipline or lack thereof, but we all understand starting fresh, turning a page. But outside of Christ, is wholesale change really just a fantasy? By February, how’s it going? If the answer is “not so well”, we have a far better way: Christian maturity. Growing up in all things unto Christ our Head. The template for all this is the church, but how is THAT going? Not so well. Nevertheless, Christ is the Head, our ever-living Head who sanctifies us by His blood, by His grace. Today we look at some perspectives on how the culture at large has returned to using pacifiers like media and self-love to go the other direction, also known as the Eternal Adolescence of the American Mind. Dave Wager: From Bethlehem to Eternity, Why Christmas Still Changes Everything

Today is a special teaching from host Dave Wager. He slows down the Christmas story and reads Luke 2:1–21, letting the details land, Caesar's decree, Joseph and Mary's trip to Bethlehem, the manger, the angel's announcement, the sky filled with praise, and the shepherds rushing in to see what God had made known. From there, Dave brings in reflections from V. Raymond Edmond's 1960 book Wiser Than They Thought, using imagined conversations and scenes to help us picture what it may have felt like for real people to be standing in the middle of something they could not fully explain. The shepherds are shown as working a routine night shift when heaven interrupts it, and Dave uses that to challenge listeners to stop assuming God only works in “big moments.” He can move in the middle of the normal day, if we're paying attention. As the program continues, Dave connects the shepherds' encounter to other “windows into eternity” in Scripture. He points to Luke 15, where Jesus says there is joy before the angels of God over one sinner who repents, and he turns that into a simple, personal appeal: heaven is not bored, and your response to Christ matters. He also leans on Luke 16's account of Lazarus and the rich man to underline the seriousness of eternity and the hope of being carried home by God's provision, not by our own goodness. He returns again and again to the heart of Christmas: God does not need us, but He wants us, love invites a real choice, and salvation is a gift purchased by Jesus, the baby in the manger who became the man of the cross. The closing takeaway is clear, Christmas is not a seasonal story, it's a fact that changes life now, and it calls each listener to respond to Christ with faith and obedience.

As we celebrate another Christmas on this side of eternity, we want to halt the news in its tracks (since there are never good tidings nor great joy most weeks) and talk about Isaiah, David’s throne, and some of the lighter things that make the holidays joyful. It’s always bittersweet, Christmas – because the chains we have that tie us to this planet mean we suffer hurt, loss and difficulty all through the year. But at the same time that sweet-sour paradigm allows us to rejoice and carry on because on the other side is hope. For those who aren’t drawn into the study of last days, we need to ask ourselves why, because we can’t get to the hope part quite yet. Jesus IS our hope, and while the things of God seem far away at times, He is ever near. He will return. We look at Isaiah 9 which is loaded with familiar Christmas verses, but what are the deeper aspects? Unto us. A Child is born. Children are born every day in the flesh. Oh wait – a Son is given! Humanity, and divinity in one verse. We also talk Christmas carols, full of doctrine; the promise of a Messiah on David’s throne despite a curse in the lineage, and who exactly were those Magi? A fun hour of chat about holiday Spirit and letting God use us however that might look right now.

Mary Danielsen Mary takes some time today to focus on the end game, geopolitically – and at what point the world runs out of real estate to do a global build-out designed for the final rebellion against Jesus Christ at His coming. The image in Nebuchadnezzar’s dream, the metal man depicting the significant world powers that will succeed each other from Babylon to Rome, is one of the greatest, most astonishing prophecies the world has ever been privy to. The end of the matter tells us that in the days of those Roman Empire kings, the toes of the image, the revived Roman Empire – God will set up His everlasting kingdom. As joyous as that is to think about, the process involves going from Satan’s kingdom of man that has ruled for millennia, to the righteous Kingdom of our Lord Jesus Christ. It is often depicted as the birth process, birth pangs – that increase in frequency and intensity. It also can be summed up this way: “expect turbulence”, and you frequent flyers will understand that. We look at how Satan even got this world as a prize, how he fell, why he was able to offer it to Jesus – and maybe why he has saved his most awful bag of tricks for this late hour. We also look at the importance of Genesis in interpreting Revelation. Most churches don’t pay any heed to their connection, but it is incredible to see all the events that begin in Genesis having their fulfillment in Revelation. Since 2020, we’re pretty much just holding our collective breath, expectations being at historic lows. If I were a youth today, and if I did not have Jesus in my life, I would wonder who what and how this world got so irrevocably messed up. it’s tempting to find someone to blame, but Bible prophecy clearly tells us that this is exactly what we can expect. Nevertheless, with the knowledge of Jesus comes the knowledge of the tension between futility and hope. It’s always difficult to look at current events and come away hopeful, but that is exactly what should happen if we are focused on the Kingdom to come. We talk about 6G with David, the surveillance state, Israel, social credit scores, and much more. What will 2026 look like? We have no idea really, because the devil is in the details, yes – but God is in the big picture. Hopefully, excitement about the wrapping up of all things is contagious.

Sometimes we think that the world remained somewhat static in culture and innovation until the 1800s, at which time there was an explosion of change in the 20th century. That’s not wrong, because the pace and scale of global transformation has accelerated in dramatic fashion, particularly with the Industrial and Scientific Revolutions. We also think in the church that evolution is the only thing we can think of that has continually warred against a biblical worldview. But the explosion of philosophies and religious movements have also played a huge role.  We talk briefly about what those movements were and are, and then zero in on evolution in particular as the bearer of the most rotten fruit we can imagine over several categories: education, morals, socialism and Marxism, and science probably above all.  An hour of dot-connecting with a highly knowledgeable creation apologist whose many Grand Staircase tours, conference sessions and church and college messages have helped to educate and build up the Christian church about the lies of old earth/evolutionary theory. As we head into another Christmas season, we know that the big moment that changed everything was “unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given”. For God so loved, he GAVE. Ever since that proclamation, lovers of Jesus have anticipated His return. And all the more reason with Israel securely a nation state on the world scene. And that’s just one sign, albeit a huge one. So today, we continue to point to the wind up and the wind down, talking about the focus now on the Middle East and Israel in particular. The Word tells us that there will be a conclusion to the ‘times of the Gentiles’, so we know that one dispensation will wind down, and Israel’s redemption will wind upward.  Another topic today is the latest from the Pope and his pro-Islam pandering, pretty disturbing on every level. Meanwhile, in churches around the nation, pastors are getting creative with Ai in multiple ways. The question is, are they as easily calling on the Holy Spirit to guide, direct and teach? This is an uncomfortable question for those who believe a church should be Spirit led, not Ai driven. We also take apart the Minnesota welfare scandal, and no one should be saying anyone “meant well” on this one. A full hour.

John Haller: The World Ahead, 2026

Mary welcomes John Haller to chat about what the world thinks about itself as we approach another revolution around the sun. Since 1986, The Economist has published it’s very own version of short-term prophecy as it relates to the upcoming year. Their covers alone for this issue are worth looking at, seeing at a glance what they think are critical issues that will carry over. Of course, we have the sure word of prophecy to give us the big Kodak, but it’s still fascinating to take it apart and see what they expect. Topics this year include Europe, war and peace, Ai, climate, and geopolitics. One of the biggest celebrations will be America’s 250th – unfortunately, every revisionist and political self-interest group will have a spin, and it will be nothing like 1976. Although, nothing resembles 1976 anyway but really, they will find a way to divide us further and ruin the whole event. The wild card really is Trump, and as John says, this is Trump’s world, we are merely living in it. We never know what to expect. We also get an update from John on his 2 Israel trips this fall. A full hour with one of the best news cycle analysts around. Stand Up For The Truth Videos: https://rumble.com/user/CTRNOnline & https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCgQQSvKiMcglId7oGc5c46A

Original airdate: 12/12/24: Mary welcomes back Carl Kerby of Reasons for Hope Ministries, an apologetics ministry that covers many different areas and ways to contend for the faith. In these days of moral ambiguity and outright amorality, the porn industry is one of the most insidious, soul trashing industries under the sun. Statistics regarding the popularity of this pursuit are stunning, having increased tremendously over just the last few years. It is estimated that 28,258 users watch porn every second and 35% of all internet downloads are related to porn;  64% of the 18-24 demographic seek it out on a weekly basis. When you add human trafficking as a supplier, there is clearly no lack of demand and it may never go the other direction. We chat about what families can do to keep it far from their homes and thus honor God in this matter as we are commanded. In the 2nd half, we will talk about a book series from Reasons for Hope that are certainly family friendly and edifying, their “Fascinating Facts” series, and how they would make a great Christmas gift. Homeschooling has enjoyed a wonderful renaissance due to Covid, and ministries have truly stepped up with great resources, Reasons for Hope is no exception. JB Hixson: Great and Precious Promises

Dr. JB Hixson Mary welcomes back JB Hixson to talk about the great and precious promises found throughout God’s Word. How many are there? How long do you have? A common number is about 8,000, more in the OT than in the NT. But some say, depending upon how you parse them out, that there could be as many as 30,000. Of course, if God doesn’t keep every single one, He is not Who He says He is. So, what can we conclude except, He is a God Who keeps them ALL. What does that mean for you and I? Well, from Genesis onward, since God promised to send a Saviour to fix our terminal sin problem, all of His promises are yea and amen. And the categories for said promises? Abundant life, a crown of life, a heavenly home, assurance, comfort, answers to prayer, deliverance, protection, the Spirit, power for service, resurrection, rest, wisdom, strength, victory….shall I go on? You get the idea. Such an important subject in a day and age when people do not keep their promises – but God.
