Today’s headlines, as do most stories that the world deems important, remind us that we are just passing through this life. Whether it’s aliens, mass immigration and movements of populations of people, the economy or whatever we are all told is important, we as believers have to remember it’s all temporary.  A considerable amount of what occupies the headlines are mere “roadside attractions”. Now, when we talk about Israel and point to their redemption drawing nigh, that is something worth taking note of and we do regularly. Those are Mile Markers, things that show us how late the hour is. And truly we are just passing through – that’s also important as a mindset. And with the anniversary of the opening of Route 66 and how it transported so many Americans to “see the USA in your Chevrolet”, we’re thinking the only change of address we desire is our heavenly home. We talk about OPEC and why it is integral to the Middle East and will be for some time. We talk about the temple and the youth who want it rebuilt in their lifetimes; also about mass immigration and how it’s designed to erase the West and the Judeo-Christian worldview. Today’s news cycle shows us what we’re up against when it comes to building the final world empire of surveillance and slavery. The Tower of Babel was one thing, and God judged it. Today’s tower to man’s desire to control is global, and it has the potential to be brutal. First up today is an update on the pandemic treaty, which, if you ask the average American, they would say it’s gone far away. Even though Trump would never sign on to it, whoever is in the big chair after him could easily be persuaded to join in the party.  Is it the dawn of the new world order? Even the Iran war spells last days world order. And don’t get us started about Ai and that revolutionary tech. The world is in an uproar over so many things but what does the media care about? What Marco Rubio is wearing on the plane to China. Finding important news is becoming nearly impossible, but we give it our best shot.

Mary welcomes back Pastor Andy Woods to talk about some of the hot topics around the world. First up we look at Israel, and their providing an Iron Dome system for the UAE. Why does the UAE need protection from Iran via Israel, that Iran is going after them with extra rage? We also look at the continuing battle of antisemitism, which is not abating at all in a supposedly tolerant, civilized world. Also on the agenda: faithful pastors who put all on the line to preach the gospel; the US economic indicators regarding the debt load we are passing on to our kids and grands, if we even make it that far; Islamic prayer rooms in public schools; leftist talking points that more than suggest they are the only ones who get to do the talking. Tim and Mary take a look at the headlines relating to one of the top stories of the week: The Android Next Door. Since personal, humanoid style household robots are poised to “evolve” into something more, well, human – we wonder what part of their popularity today is Hollywood inspired, and what part is real? Is life imitating art? Do we really want a bot in our kitchen or anywhere in our homes, listening to our every sigh and expressed thought? We take a look at Bots gone wild, up to the point of giving scientists the recipe for a bio weapon. The bigger question then might be, what are we becoming alongside of them? There is no way this revolution doesn’t fundamentally change everything. Ai is here to stay. It’s one thing to auto-repeat, “it’s just a tool.” It’s another thing to think it won’t affect our humanity on a deep level.

Mary continues the conversation about the fundamental poisoning of humanity on two levels: synthetic chemicals in the form of pharma and gene-editing drugs, and increasing bureaucracy designed to control all agricultural seeds. What do raw milk, migration policies, energy policies, backyard poultry, our health, and slaughterhouses have in common? All of them have become so controlled by politicians and bureaucrats so as to remove any control whatsoever by local municipalities, aka, people.  It’s all about control, making it extremely difficult for the average person to simply be autonomous regarding their health and what they eat. The toxicity at the grocery store is just a symptom. The root is consolidation of power on such a level that brings us to the point that if the bureaucrats feel there is harm to the public in the form of toxins or disease, all that matters is the result: more control. Today Mary welcomes back Trey Dellinger to talk about Wisconsin’s Governor Evers’ “Capitol capitulation” in vetoing AB 105, designed to protect our kids from online adult content.  Evers vetoed this bill that was passed by the Republican legislature requiring all porn online users to give ID to prove age. Being the first governor to veto such protective legislation, residents should be extremely disappointed in this partisan upsmanship. The reasons he gives regarding protecting the ID of the users hardly shows a genuine concern for the minds and hearts of our kids. We also discuss some of the other ways to protect our kids online. With the rise in both colon cancer and dementia among people far too young to worry about such things, fingers are being pointed at our chemical-riddled foods. Not just fast foods but anything in a package. Processed foods, those can be minimally processed with the addition of just water and salt, for instance. Canned veggies, tuna, that sort of thing. But UPFs, those have become way more prevalent on our shelves and have wreaked havoc on our health around the world. We have stopped reading labels it seems, because UPFs are associated with over 30 different chronic health conditions. What are some of the ingredients in UPFs? Seed oils, chemical names we cannot pronounce, sweeteners, salt, emulsifiers, thickeners, “flavor” and “color” enhancers – all that and more are causing inflammation and obesity in astonishing numbers. As wives and moms, we understand our unique placement in the home to see to it that our pregnancies, our kiddos, ourselves, and our mates are as healthy as possible, an important calling. Both expressions are valid. Pigs may not be flying but they are being chased. By a robot. Ask the people in Warsaw Poland. There are so many things that fall into this category it might seem we just don’t focus on the weird and surreal anymore but it certainly paints a picture. Today we talk about tying British citizenship to understanding Muslim holidays; Mamdani possibly tying America’s 250th to something other than being American (more info to follow as we get toward July 4!); the Pope continues his denying ways when it comes to Islam and Christianity; and Your Brain on Ai. Which come to think of it, is similar to our brain after consuming too much news media and we all are at risk.

Mary welcomes back Mike Gendron to have a conversation about counterfeit gospels and our response. Once we establish that the one true urgent gospel is the truth, that the church’s mission revolves around it, and Jesus gave His life for it, there is no room for counterfeits. And yet, in Galatians 1, Paul tells us with emphasis that there are those who, for whatever reason, are enamored of false gospels. What might be their ecumenical motives? The mischief that has infiltrated the world over a false premise and foundation for all truth, is incalculable.  Galatians 1 should serve as a warning that we are not to take Paul’s exhortation lightly. The Catholic gospel of works as well is not the true gospel. The math looks like this: Jesus + Anything = Nothing. Why are pastors not warning about such things? How should believers live their lives in light of the schemes of the enemy to cause the church to embrace ecumenism as if it’s not systemically dangerous? Another headline cycle gets us deeper into a kind of darkness that is truly astonishing. The world is reeling from the effects of the Mideast war that morphs from day to day and is dividing our nation. Why? Is it because the party that gave so much money to Iran doesn’t want the party trying to fix it to win? It’s complex, and we don’t know how it’s going to end. God knows. We also look at a goodly list of all the ways the signs are converging, so when taken as a whole picture, imperfect as it is for now, we can conclude things are never going back to some other world. How long, O Lord? If you took communion last weekend, you know how important it is to commemorate what He did; but it also ties us to what He will be doing when He comes. In fact, the more we understand His nature, the more we fall on our knees in gratitude that He has provided a way to be reconciled to Him, despite the fact that we are fallen and completely opposite of Him in our natural selves. In fact, the more we know Him the more this verse becomes astonishing: “…His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue by which have been given to us exceedingly great and precious promises, that through these you may be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.” (1Peter 1:4). Today, on Stand Up For The Truth, host Dave Wager teaches from the account of Judas betraying Jesus, using it as a mirror for our own hearts. He walks through Matthew 26 and challenges the assumption that Judas was uniquely flawed, asking whether we fall into the same trap, expecting life and even God to revolve around us. The message closes with a sober reminder: we will all stand before God honestly, without spin, and the choices we make now matter. The call is simple and direct, know God, listen to Him, and walk in obedience today, before there is a “Judas moment” you can't take back.

On this Good Friday 2026, Mary takes a look at the reality of authority in this life, and in the one to come.  Whether we realize it or not, authority is part of every day for every human. Parents, teachers, employers, politicians, authority in the home, and possibly even over how we will die, at least in Peter’s case and the case of the martyrs. We start at the beginning, when the authorities of the day had issues with the authority that Jesus claimed. Nothing gets hard core religious leaders in knots than to be usurping their hard-won, ego-driven authority over people, and Jesus put them in their place. Today, we struggle daily with political authority: who has it, who wants it, and who abuses it and abuses others over it. Why does the left hate Christians so much? It’s really very simple – because we follow after and obey a higher authority and that is what propels them to try and control everyone. Those who said they would not follow the Cov narrative were persecuted in a manner that told the tale though they denied it. And in the home, how does that play out best to show the example of Christ loving the church? It’s really not complicated at all. Communism, Islam, Nazism, climate change, No Kings – you name it – it all comes down to authority. And everyone will choose; every knee shall bow, every tongue confess. Far from simply trying to understand the Jewish roots of the Bible, this movement seeks to answer the question about what happens when Gentiles and Jews get saved: do Gentiles become Jews?  For centuries, the people of God were Jews, with the exception of some Gentiles who came to faith in the God of Israel. The early church consisted mostly of Jewish believers in Jesus, but when the gospel went to the Gentiles, there was a new dynamic that, unfortunately, even led some to believe that Christians were the new Israel and now received all the promises of God solely. This teaching continues today across the church spectrum. Why is there so much confusion about who is who, when the epistles clearly address these things head on? But with the HRM, there is even more confusion regarding the Mosaic Law, the feasts of Israel, who is a Jew, and what is Israel. Social media is a fascinating environment. One in particular asks us “What’s on your mind?”, and then proceeds to make value judgments when we dare to tell. Be that as it may, many of us in the church have stuff on our mind too, especially when church doesn’t seem to match up with the biblical parameters and suggestions/commands. Then after mulling that for a bit, we tend to resign ourselves to the fact that people have changed, the culture has changed too much to expect church not to have. But wait, God never changes. The culture will always change. Does that give us the right to change the church? To bring the culture inside to testify of the popular way? Why no, it doesn’t. So in observing something hopefully all believers do every Sunday morning, how can we not have questions and observations? Why is this the object of discussion among believers and yet nothing ever changes? Can we entertain (oops wrong word maybe) the idea that an Acts church is still an option? Tim and Mary take on another news cycle, once again we see the shadows of the longest hatred: antisemitism. It is not going to improve but rather those with a demonic agenda will continue to take things to a very dark place, inviting judgment. As we saw with Covid, humans are deeply affected by suggestion, as long as it is accompanied by significant fear and threats. It is no different than antisemitism in a strange way – if people are told that the Jews are despicable and not to go near them, they will program their activities and lives to live that out. As another example, in some circles, a person can’t even name Trump without becoming deranged or acting violently and irrationally.  We are in that era of strong delusion and deception. We talk about Canada and their inability to reign that hatred in. We also talk about Islam which is never going to reign their hatred in. The world hates the light because their deeds are evil, how much brighter should we shine.

Tim and Mary unpack some last days realities that sound more and more surreal. Take for instance the merry-go-round that is the Middle East, at least when it comes to Iran and current headlines. Now that Iran has played their turn and installed a familial leader (which the 1970s Ayatollah KHO-meini decried before his death), Trump is certainly having to deal with a chess move he hates. After all, why would he go through all this trouble only to have to go in circles and start again with another hardliner? It will be interesting to see Trump’s next move. Meanwhile, no one has seen or heard from the heir apparent yet, so is he dead, alive, or just MIA? Reminds one of Schrodinger’s poor old kitty, an analogy afforded us by none other than Jeff Childers of his Coffee and Covid blog. We also look at Israel, Monsanto, and some terror-related news that proves this is, and has always been, a wider war, a charge which legacy media has reserved for later, but it’s too late for that analogy.
