Today Mary welcomes back Trey Dellinger to talk about Wisconsin’s Governor Evers’ “Capitol capitulation” in vetoing AB 105, designed to protect our kids from online adult content.  Evers vetoed this bill that was passed by the Republican legislature requiring all porn online users to give ID to prove age. Being the first governor to veto such protective legislation, residents should be extremely disappointed in this partisan upsmanship. The reasons he gives regarding protecting the ID of the users hardly shows a genuine concern for the minds and hearts of our kids. We also discuss some of the other ways to protect our kids online. While such reports have been floating around for decades, with today’s tech one has to wonder if the accuracy of such research might be significantly better. And speaking of Noah, the latest research seems to point to him and his wife being our general ancestor – which would force those who don’t believe in a literal global flood to perhaps revisit their position. Finally, we look at all the reasons why the church needs to have a biblical perspective on Israel, and a bit of archaeology to top it off. A full hour.

With the rise in both colon cancer and dementia among people far too young to worry about such things, fingers are being pointed at our chemical-riddled foods. Not just fast foods but anything in a package. Processed foods, those can be minimally processed with the addition of just water and salt, for instance. Canned veggies, tuna, that sort of thing. But UPFs, those have become way more prevalent on our shelves and have wreaked havoc on our health around the world. We have stopped reading labels it seems, because UPFs are associated with over 30 different chronic health conditions. What are some of the ingredients in UPFs? Seed oils, chemical names we cannot pronounce, sweeteners, salt, emulsifiers, thickeners, “flavor” and “color” enhancers – all that and more are causing inflammation and obesity in astonishing numbers. As wives and moms, we understand our unique placement in the home to see to it that our pregnancies, our kiddos, ourselves, and our mates are as healthy as possible, an important calling. Today we talk about tying British citizenship to understanding Muslim holidays; Mamdani possibly tying America’s 250th to something other than being American (more info to follow as we get toward July 4!); the Pope continues his denying ways when it comes to Islam and Christianity; and Your Brain on Ai. Which come to think of it, is similar to our brain after consuming too much news media and we all are at risk.

Mary welcomes back Mike Gendron to have a conversation about counterfeit gospels and our response. Once we establish that the one true urgent gospel is the truth, that the church’s mission revolves around it, and Jesus gave His life for it, there is no room for counterfeits. And yet, in Galatians 1, Paul tells us with emphasis that there are those who, for whatever reason, are enamored of false gospels. What might be their ecumenical motives? The mischief that has infiltrated the world over a false premise and foundation for all truth, is incalculable.  Galatians 1 should serve as a warning that we are not to take Paul’s exhortation lightly. The Catholic gospel of works as well is not the true gospel. The math looks like this: Jesus + Anything = Nothing. Why are pastors not warning about such things? How should believers live their lives in light of the schemes of the enemy to cause the church to embrace ecumenism as if it’s not systemically dangerous? Is it because the party that gave so much money to Iran doesn’t want the party trying to fix it to win? It’s complex, and we don’t know how it’s going to end. God knows. We also look at a goodly list of all the ways the signs are converging, so when taken as a whole picture, imperfect as it is for now, we can conclude things are never going back to some other world. How long, O Lord? If you took communion last weekend, you know how important it is to commemorate what He did; but it also ties us to what He will be doing when He comes. Proclaiming the Master’s death – TILL HE COMES. News cycles come and go but His Word remains.

Dr. JB Hixson Mary welcomes back JB Hixson to explore the topic of the attributes of God and how the knowledge of the One we worship gives us stability, wisdom, and an understanding of Whom we worship. The church often misrepresents God, and yet how can that be with all the revealed knowledge available to us in the Scriptures? And yet even knowing that He is perfect in all His ways, just, righteous and unchanging, we still find ways to lean on our own understanding in so many of OUR ways. In fact, the more we understand His nature, the more we fall on our knees in gratitude that He has provided a way to be reconciled to Him, despite the fact that we are fallen and completely opposite of Him in our natural selves. In fact, the more we know Him the more this verse becomes astonishing: “…His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue by which have been given to us exceedingly great and precious promises, that through these you may be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.” (1Peter 1:4). Today, on Stand Up For The Truth, host Dave Wager teaches from the account of Judas betraying Jesus, using it as a mirror for our own hearts. He walks through Matthew 26 and challenges the assumption that Judas was uniquely flawed, asking whether we fall into the same trap, expecting life and even God to revolve around us. Dave emphasizes that everything begins with God, not us, and that our role is not to be needed, but to recognize the privilege of being wanted and included in His plan. He draws a clear line between living for self, comfort, or money, and living in alignment with God's purposes, warning that misplaced expectations can quietly lead to compromise, just as they did with Judas. He then connects Judas' betrayal to a broader warning about sin and misplaced trust, especially in money and personal gain. Using everyday illustrations, including his own struggle with donuts, Dave explains how sin promises satisfaction but leaves regret, often too late to undo the consequences. He stresses that obedience to God is the true expression of love for Him, and that ignoring God's direction leads to eventual remorse. The message closes with a sober reminder: we will all stand before God honestly, without spin, and the choices we make now matter. The call is simple and direct, know God, listen to Him, and walk in obedience today, before there is a “Judas moment” you can't take back.

On this Good Friday 2026, Mary takes a look at the reality of authority in this life, and in the one to come.  Whether we realize it or not, authority is part of every day for every human. Parents, teachers, employers, politicians, authority in the home, and possibly even over how we will die, at least in Peter’s case and the case of the martyrs. We start at the beginning, when the authorities of the day had issues with the authority that Jesus claimed. Nothing gets hard core religious leaders in knots than to be usurping their hard-won, ego-driven authority over people, and Jesus put them in their place. Today, we struggle daily with political authority: who has it, who wants it, and who abuses it and abuses others over it. Why does the left hate Christians so much? It’s really very simple – because we follow after and obey a higher authority and that is what propels them to try and control everyone. Those who said they would not follow the Cov narrative were persecuted in a manner that told the tale though they denied it. And in the home, how does that play out best to show the example of Christ loving the church? It’s really not complicated at all. Communism, Islam, Nazism, climate change, No Kings – you name it – it all comes down to authority. And everyone will choose; every knee shall bow, every tongue confess. We also look at a bizarre speech by the Pope in which he lectures the world on war and what God thinks of it. Unfortunately, he has missed the mark widely. Energy lockdowns are also on our target list, because wasn’t it just 6 years ago that the powerful decided we all needed to stay home and not breathe on grandma? Here we go again. Far from simply trying to understand the Jewish roots of the Bible, this movement seeks to answer the question about what happens when Gentiles and Jews get saved: do Gentiles become Jews?  For centuries, the people of God were Jews, with the exception of some Gentiles who came to faith in the God of Israel. The early church consisted mostly of Jewish believers in Jesus, but when the gospel went to the Gentiles, there was a new dynamic that, unfortunately, even led some to believe that Christians were the new Israel and now received all the promises of God solely. This teaching continues today across the church spectrum. Why is there so much confusion about who is who, when the epistles clearly address these things head on? But with the HRM, there is even more confusion regarding the Mosaic Law, the feasts of Israel, who is a Jew, and what is Israel. Prophecy headlines generally revolve around three topics: a global economy, a global religion, and a global government. But behind those still, is the war that goes on for the souls of men; worldview wars, ideological wars, truth wars. In the end, it’s all about humanity. The rest is just maneuvering humans to accept lies. Today we talk about the narco-terror war that is going on in South America and has yet to reach media saturation; the week of weather that was far more bizarre than we realize; outlawing “Islamophobia”; and Mamdani’s latest mischief. Finally, a bit of tech news, as Ai marches on.

For most believers, a faithful life is made up of ordinary days – days that God has given us to bless us, use us, test us, and sanctify us. Who have been the faithful among men? Those of whom the world was not worthy, who gave their perhaps smallish lives for the only thing that endures; the men who recognized the canon of Scripture so we could discern God’s ways and will for our lives; faithful spouses who provide a witness to the church and a firm foundation for their offspring; and on and on. Do we really give enough time and attention to our own faithfulness? How we impact those around us every single day, even without ever slaying one giant or affecting a population? What about all the faithful believers who maybe clean the church or teach our kids? Social media is a fascinating environment. One in particular asks us “What’s on your mind?”, and then proceeds to make value judgments when we dare to tell. Be that as it may, many of us in the church have stuff on our mind too, especially when church doesn’t seem to match up with the biblical parameters and suggestions/commands. Then after mulling that for a bit, we tend to resign ourselves to the fact that people have changed, the culture has changed too much to expect church not to have. But wait, God never changes. The culture will always change. Does that give us the right to change the church? To bring the culture inside to testify of the popular way? Why no, it doesn’t. So in observing something hopefully all believers do every Sunday morning, how can we not have questions and observations? Tim and Mary take on another news cycle, once again we see the shadows of the longest hatred: antisemitism. It is not going to improve but rather those with a demonic agenda will continue to take things to a very dark place, inviting judgment. As we saw with Covid, humans are deeply affected by suggestion, as long as it is accompanied by significant fear and threats. It is no different than antisemitism in a strange way – if people are told that the Jews are despicable and not to go near them, they will program their activities and lives to live that out. As another example, in some circles, a person can’t even name Trump without becoming deranged or acting violently and irrationally.  We are in that era of strong delusion and deception. We talk about Canada and their inability to reign that hatred in. We also talk about Islam which is never going to reign their hatred in. The world hates the light because their deeds are evil, how much brighter should we shine.

Tim and Mary unpack some last days realities that sound more and more surreal. Take for instance the merry-go-round that is the Middle East, at least when it comes to Iran and current headlines. Now that Iran has played their turn and installed a familial leader (which the 1970s Ayatollah KHO-meini decried before his death), Trump is certainly having to deal with a chess move he hates. After all, why would he go through all this trouble only to have to go in circles and start again with another hardliner? It will be interesting to see Trump’s next move. Meanwhile, no one has seen or heard from the heir apparent yet, so is he dead, alive, or just MIA? Reminds one of Schrodinger’s poor old kitty, an analogy afforded us by none other than Jeff Childers of his Coffee and Covid blog. We also look at Israel, Monsanto, and some terror-related news that proves this is, and has always been, a wider war, a charge which legacy media has reserved for later, but it’s too late for that analogy. Have we just entered into a season that is one of the most unpredictable since the Shah was overthrown in 1979? Even with the strength that President Reagan showed in releasing the American hostages from Iran’s volatile and brutal grip back then, perhaps President Trump has shown the most courage and resolve we have seen in decades with his Operation Fury to take out the wicked Ayatollah “Haman” Khameini. While some of the leftier among us are crying outrage just because it’s Trump, most citizens of the globe recognize the fact that the world, and the Mideast in particular, need LESS Khameinis, not more – or even one – and clearly Trump agrees. Siding with a tyrannical Islamic regime that kills its own is a form of insanity that no one can defend from a human standpoint. At any rate, God is working, because if it is as late as we think it is, it’s all part of Bible prophecy. Back in the 70s, for less than one dollar, one could purchase a Bic lighter and set stuff on fire easily. In today’s Mideast, with hatred all around stewing and brewing, especially for Israel, it doesn’t take much more than one of those to invoke a regional war. Today's new episode of Stand Up For The Truth features Dave Wager teaching solo, walking listeners through what he calls “four old lessons” from the book of Job, anchored by 1 Peter 5:8, the warning to stay alert because the devil prowls like a roaring lion. Dave frames the whole conversation around “principles” versus opinions, perspectives, or methods. Principles do not change, regardless of feelings or culture, and Job's story is used as a clear example. He starts with Job 1, highlighting Job's integrity and unusual blessing, then pulls back the curtain to Job 1:6 and the heavenly scene where God points to Job as blameless and upright, showing that what heaven calls “great” is character, not comfort. From there, Dave lays out the four lessons: (1) there is an active spiritual battle, (2) the fight centers on people, our allegiance and trust in God, (3) the crowd, even close friends, cannot define truth, and (4) believers must keep growing through humility and repentance. Along the way he illustrates spiritual attack with a vivid story about a cat tormenting a chipmunk, and he warns that deception often feels like “light” (2 Corinthians 11:14). Job's response to loss becomes a model for suffering with worship and steady truth (Job 1:21), and God's questioning in Job 38 becomes a reminder to focus on what we know about God when we cannot explain what we are living through. Dave closes by re-centering “blessing” as being used by God to represent Him, not simply having ease, and points listeners to God's higher ways (Isaiah 55:8–9) and His proven Word as refuge (Psalm 18:30).

Mary Danielsen Mary takes on some headlines today with a theme: why is everyone so angry? In particular, what things just set people off in a frenzy of emotional vitriol? Well, the nation of Israel for one, in particular those peculiar people of God, the Jews (we are all peculiar people according to the Bible) – those set apart as His own. People can’t seem to run out of things to be furious about. The nations, they do rage. We look at an article about Tucker – yes, another one on his encroaching insanity – but this one asks the question, what does he want from the Jews, that he is so obsessed? A foundational look. We also look at Gaza and the Peace Board’s plan to renovate it. But not just with brick and mortar –  it will be the first controlled technocracy piece of real estate on earth. What does that mean? Then we talk about anger, what the Bible says about it and how to avoid just being part of the mob.

Mary welcomes back seasoned apologist Don Veinot of Midwest Christian Outreach to talk about “sycretism” and why the majority of evangelicals embrace it to some level or another. What is syncretism? Is it those dreadful “Co-Exist” bumper stickers, or something more sinister? Syncretism is the mixing of one faith/belief system with another, it is mixing two things that aren't supposed to go together. Accepting parts of each, but denying the whole. But the gospel cannot be divided and conquered to make us more comfortable. However, syncretism is the natural, meaning carnal, response to the Gospel. Some reject the Gospel completely. Others want to accept only part of the Gospel, merging specific aspects of it to fit their own ideas. We give quite a few examples, some of which might surprise the listener. Then we look at deconstruction – what it is and isn’t. One would hope that the one that is disappointed with orthodoxy on any level actually looked deeply into what Christianity actually teaches and then made a sober decision. Or is it emotional, a response to either God or man letting them down? Tim and Mary take a look at the news cycle once again, and while it generally resembles all the news cycles, one thing we can count on is that in Jesus, His mercies are new every morning; this can never be true in the world. He is the faithful one, and no matter how tiresome this world becomes, the one thing God says we need is His mercy, not more dark news about man’s inhumanity to man. So we start there, and then try and make sense of this divisive, judgment ready world. Today we look at the continued blame for everything on white men who love Jesus;  Mike Huckabee’s attempt to reason with Tucker; and the world marching to the beat of Antichrist, especially in Europe where the spirit of the AC has preceded him. As interesting as it all is, and helpful to watch the times, Lamentations 3:22-26 says it all:  “Through the Lord’s mercies we are not consumed, because His compassions fail not They are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness. The Lord is my portion, says my soul, therefore I hope in Him! The Lord is good to those who wait for Him, to the soul who seeks Him. Q90 ladies Katie and Mary take a look at a trending topic: Ultra-processed foods (UPFs). With the rise in both colon cancer and dementia among people far too young to worry about such things, fingers are being pointed at our chemical-riddled foods. Not just fast foods but anything in a package. Processed foods, those can be minimally processed with the addition of just water and salt, for instance. Canned veggies, tuna, that sort of thing. But UPFs, those have become way more prevalent on our shelves and have wreaked havoc on our health around the world. We have stopped reading labels it seems, because UPFs are associated with over 30 different chronic health conditions. What are some of the ingredients in UPFs? Seed oils, chemical names we cannot pronounce, sweeteners, salt, emulsifiers, thickeners, “flavor” and “color” enhancers – all that and more are causing inflammation and obesity in astonishing numbers. As wives and moms, we understand our unique placement in the home to see to it that our pregnancies, our kiddos, ourselves, and our mates are as healthy as possible, an important calling.
