What is parenting if not a cross, where we die to ourselves and lay down our lives for little people who may never love us in return, or run off without even so much as a thank you? Once that baby is brought home, we are instantly brought low and in need of trusting in God. We talk today about integrity, keeping our word, being providers, loving our spouses, handling tough times, and standing for truth. On today’s edition of SUFTT, we review what it means to be a Berean, as outlined in Acts 17. When Paul was preaching Christ to the Thessalonian Jews, he also had the attention of the Greeks in attendance at the synagogue. Greeks often attended in those early days of the church because they weren’t interested in the rampant paganism, but opted instead to hear about the Jewish Messiah. While the Jews weren’t interested in having their traditional boat rocked, the Greeks of Berea were considered more noble because they were critical thinkers and sought to search the Old Testament daily to see if what Paul said was true, and many got saved. Today we use that context to talk about the ways the church must be Bereans as well – critical thinkers – when it comes to understanding and believing God about Israel and about prophecy. Churches that don’t teach prophecy, which permeates both old and New Testament, are not being Bereans. The challenge to filter everything we hear, every day by the Word of God may require time and diligence but it is of the utmost importance.

[From June 10, 2025] Mary welcomes back Olivier Melnick to discuss the new normal: antisemitism. He is a Jewish believer in Jesus from France, the son of Holocaust survivors, whose maternal grandfather was killed by the Nazis. Olivier is an internationally known speaker on antisemitism. He holds a BA from Moody Bible Institute and a masters from Dallas Theological Seminary, and has been equipping believers to understand and fight antisemitism since 2000. The ramping up of antisemitism is a complete surprise to some, it’s not that long ago that they were the target of genocide during WW2, and if anyone alive has a parent who fought in that war, the connection is still strong. So why now? How are things different? Today we talk about the stages of normalization from his book, “The Normalization of Antisemitism”. World leaders are not so subtly being drawn into this hate as the world turns their back on Israel. Words matter. Words turn to violence. Even our neighbor to the north is being drawn in. Today’s news cycle continues on its merry way in forcing politics and politicians to the forefront of everything, and what happens then of course is the truly significant stories just don’t get any airing. In our ongoing effort to do an end run around all the temporal things the media thinks we want to hear about, once again we bring things around to prophecy and eternal things. Today we look at Spielberg’s “Disclosure” film which opens this week. The real show for believers is what he is saying about the church and his attempts to cause us to “question our beliefs” about how many gods might be out there. Which would be laughable if he weren’t so sincerely arrogant about it. Should Christians bother to see it? That depends. We also look at Elon Musk’s opinion that technology is “Jesus level” stuff.  Meanwhile, down under, the believers are laying low. Is that an option, regardless of the personal cost? We also do a follow up on the Don Lemon invasion of that St. Paul church service. Double standards all around. Lots to talk about on this week’s headline episode of SUFTT.

The culture is obsessed with identity based on politics, race, creed and a host of other invented and invested notions that cause us to become and belong. And it is all too easy for believers to just fall into line and take on and become not only what and who WE think we are, but also what others think we are. After all, how are we ever going to get along with the culture if we don’t dance to their tune? But as believers, we are not to be conformed to this world in any way. How to break free from that, this is what is important. Christ in me is to live; we are HIS workmanship, not each others’.  For those who have spent any time at all in ministry, there is an expectation to perform and be perfect or at least meet everyone’s needs. He has also done extensive outreach at America’s beaches, university campuses, and foreign fields of Eastern and Western Europe and Central and South America. He has a long history engaging the Arts and LGBT community through heading a Christian Arts based ministry in NW Georgia and worked on the front lines of the AIDS health crisis of the mid 80s and 90s. Littleton knows the origins, methods and goals of the LGBTQ activist movement and the faithful Biblical response for believers anchored in the power of the Gospel by the CROSS and resurrection of Jesus. Mary welcomes Ted Greenfield to discuss the wild ride that his life has been. Ted is the founder and director of Invisible Angels, a nonprofit organization providing air transportation for survivors of human trafficking. A commercial pilot, he retired from the FAA in spring 2025, where he served as multimedia producer, creating safety messaging and training for air traffic controllers and pilots. Prior to that he served as a senior instructional systems designer contractor at Lockheed Martin and managing editor for Voice of America's Learning English. Tim and Mary look at some of the things that are ramping up as we head to Summer of ’26. Many people thought that 2026 would be a meltdown kind of year, and that’s certainly a possibility. While it’s kind of fun to think that biting mosquitoes might be vanquished once and for all, global realities set in whether before, during, or after vacations. Ai, for instance, is facing a backlash – or a “hate wave” as people come out against data centers take too much power and oligarchs who have too much power to change the world. Humans being what we are aren’t ready to be superseded by machines, and it’s not a matter of just waiting it out. We also look at protests in Paris all in the name of a sporting victory – which we all know is just another occasion for immigrants to loot and plunder. How is it that Europeans have sold their birthright so easily? All that and more in this installment of headlines, SUFTT style.  

Today’s headlines, as do most stories that the world deems important, remind us that we are just passing through this life. Whether it’s aliens, mass immigration and movements of populations of people, the economy or whatever we are all told is important, we as believers have to remember it’s all temporary.  A considerable amount of what occupies the headlines are mere “roadside attractions”. Now, when we talk about Israel and point to their redemption drawing nigh, that is something worth taking note of and we do regularly. Those are Mile Markers, things that show us how late the hour is. And truly we are just passing through – that’s also important as a mindset. And with the anniversary of the opening of Route 66 and how it transported so many Americans to “see the USA in your Chevrolet”, we’re thinking the only change of address we desire is our heavenly home. We talk about OPEC and why it is integral to the Middle East and will be for some time. We talk about the temple and the youth who want it rebuilt in their lifetimes; also about mass immigration and how it’s designed to erase the West and the Judeo-Christian worldview. As believers, we await the Revelation of the Lord Jesus Christ as described in the last chapter of the Bible – but it is currently ranked below the “revelationS” of UFOs, UAPs, and LGM, or “little green men”. The world is in for a big surprise if they think they can upstage the return of Jesus. But that's what the distraction concerning UFOs is about on a deep and dark level. There is only ONE “Revelation” in that last book of the Bible. “revelationS” are what the world clamors after whether it's Epstein, cold cases, JFK, church scandals or government corruption. At a very young age, David sought his identity through a deep desire for love and affirmation, having grown up with no father in the home and sexual abuse beginning at 6 years old. His story is both extremely heartbreaking and profoundly hopeful; a raw and unfiltered warning from someone who walked the full length of the road that so many youth are being encouraged to take today, one of gender dysphoria and identity confusion. For over 30 years, he was deeply immersed in what he calls the “LGBTQ+ transqueer cult” and living as a transgender woman for 20 years of that time. His is a testimony of living life inside out – until God turned his life inside out via a remarkable transformation via the planting of a seed from a corrections officer. When he finally came to the end of himself via a death sentence of full blown AIDS in his 30s, God did amazing things. Life in the Islamic Republic of Pakistan has shaped her entire understanding of faith, courage, and truth. As a child, she didn't fully grasp the weight of what it meant to live as a Christian in a place where expressing your beliefs could come with real consequences. The fear that accompanies the day to day life there as a believer, but also a woman, was ever present. But those experiences have formed an appreciation for freedom and strengthened her commitment to preserving our Christian values and keep this country great. Today she dedicates her days to standing firmly for truth and working tirelessly to ensure that the values we cherish remain protected for future generations. A faith-filled testimony from someone who understands what is at stake with the influx of Muslim culture to the West and how we can protect what we have as long as we can.

Today’s news cycle shows us what we’re up against when it comes to building the final world empire of surveillance and slavery. The Tower of Babel was one thing, and God judged it. Today’s tower to man’s desire to control is global, and it has the potential to be brutal. First up today is an update on the pandemic treaty, which, if you ask the average American, they would say it’s gone far away. Even though Trump would never sign on to it, whoever is in the big chair after him could easily be persuaded to join in the party.  Is it the dawn of the new world order? Even the Iran war spells last days world order. And don’t get us started about Ai and that revolutionary tech. The world is in an uproar over so many things but what does the media care about? What Marco Rubio is wearing on the plane to China. Finding important news is becoming nearly impossible, but we give it our best shot.

Mary welcomes back Pastor Andy Woods to talk about some of the hot topics around the world. First up we look at Israel, and their providing an Iron Dome system for the UAE. Why does the UAE need protection from Iran via Israel, that Iran is going after them with extra rage? We also look at the continuing battle of antisemitism, which is not abating at all in a supposedly tolerant, civilized world. Also on the agenda: faithful pastors who put all on the line to preach the gospel; the US economic indicators regarding the debt load we are passing on to our kids and grands, if we even make it that far; Islamic prayer rooms in public schools; leftist talking points that more than suggest they are the only ones who get to do the talking. This is a murky subject, because the church has existed for over 2000 years and never once said to itself, “gee we need technology to carry out our mission in the world.” And it will always be so, because worship, discipleship, study and fellowship do not need any additives or preservatives. Yet here we are, ethically working through this thing that the whole world is coming under, as if on cue. The Bible, interestingly enough, only mentions the end game of it, we are in real time seeing its genesis. How can the prophecy student not be on the edge of their seats over this fulfillment in real time? Mary chats with Lee Brainard about the Iran war, and why we just can’t seem to settle on what is really going on there. Every day is a new headline, immediately followed by another one that says, no, that's not what's going on. So is avoiding the topic altogether the direction to take, and who would blame us – because so much of what we read from both believers and non-believers and the headlines they choose is filtered through what the media think of Trump. And you know right away what they think because their opinion of Trump is on equal footing as the actual news piece. That is not journalism, it is mere editorializing. And then there is the struggle with “what he doesn't know about prophecy.” But does God need Trump to understand prophecy? Do we want a politician to purposefully move last days events in a certain direction? After all, it will go on being fulfilled long after he is gone. Yes, at this late hour, how can everything not be prophetic; and YET – we don't have the full picture, clearly. Presuming we do is dangerous. Mary continues the conversation about the fundamental poisoning of humanity on two levels: synthetic chemicals in the form of pharma and gene-editing drugs, and increasing bureaucracy designed to control all agricultural seeds. The reasons he gives regarding protecting the ID of the users hardly shows a genuine concern for the minds and hearts of our kids. We also discuss some of the other ways to protect our kids online. With the rise in both colon cancer and dementia among people far too young to worry about such things, fingers are being pointed at our chemical-riddled foods. Not just fast foods but anything in a package. Processed foods, those can be minimally processed with the addition of just water and salt, for instance. Canned veggies, tuna, that sort of thing. But UPFs, those have become way more prevalent on our shelves and have wreaked havoc on our health around the world. We have stopped reading labels it seems, because UPFs are associated with over 30 different chronic health conditions. What are some of the ingredients in UPFs? Seed oils, chemical names we cannot pronounce, sweeteners, salt, emulsifiers, thickeners, “flavor” and “color” enhancers – all that and more are causing inflammation and obesity in astonishing numbers. As wives and moms, we understand our unique placement in the home to see to it that our pregnancies, our kiddos, ourselves, and our mates are as healthy as possible, an important calling. Which come to think of it, is similar to our brain after consuming too much news media and we all are at risk.

Mary welcomes back Mike Gendron to have a conversation about counterfeit gospels and our response. Once we establish that the one true urgent gospel is the truth, that the church’s mission revolves around it, and Jesus gave His life for it, there is no room for counterfeits. And yet, in Galatians 1, Paul tells us with emphasis that there are those who, for whatever reason, are enamored of false gospels. What might be their ecumenical motives? The mischief that has infiltrated the world over a false premise and foundation for all truth, is incalculable.  Galatians 1 should serve as a warning that we are not to take Paul’s exhortation lightly. The Catholic gospel of works as well is not the true gospel. The math looks like this: Jesus + Anything = Nothing. Why are pastors not warning about such things? How should believers live their lives in light of the schemes of the enemy to cause the church to embrace ecumenism as if it’s not systemically dangerous? The church often misrepresents God, and yet how can that be with all the revealed knowledge available to us in the Scriptures? And yet even knowing that He is perfect in all His ways, just, righteous and unchanging, we still find ways to lean on our own understanding in so many of OUR ways. In fact, the more we understand His nature, the more we fall on our knees in gratitude that He has provided a way to be reconciled to Him, despite the fact that we are fallen and completely opposite of Him in our natural selves. In fact, the more we know Him the more this verse becomes astonishing: “…His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue by which have been given to us exceedingly great and precious promises, that through these you may be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.” (1Peter 1:4). Today, on Stand Up For The Truth, host Dave Wager teaches from the account of Judas betraying Jesus, using it as a mirror for our own hearts. He walks through Matthew 26 and challenges the assumption that Judas was uniquely flawed, asking whether we fall into the same trap, expecting life and even God to revolve around us. Dave emphasizes that everything begins with God, not us, and that our role is not to be needed, but to recognize the privilege of being wanted and included in His plan. He draws a clear line between living for self, comfort, or money, and living in alignment with God's purposes, warning that misplaced expectations can quietly lead to compromise, just as they did with Judas. He then connects Judas' betrayal to a broader warning about sin and misplaced trust, especially in money and personal gain. Using everyday illustrations, including his own struggle with donuts, Dave explains how sin promises satisfaction but leaves regret, often too late to undo the consequences. He stresses that obedience to God is the true expression of love for Him, and that ignoring God's direction leads to eventual remorse. The message closes with a sober reminder: we will all stand before God honestly, without spin, and the choices we make now matter. The call is simple and direct, know God, listen to Him, and walk in obedience today, before there is a “Judas moment” you can't take back.

On this Good Friday 2026, Mary takes a look at the reality of authority in this life, and in the one to come.  Whether we realize it or not, authority is part of every day for every human. Parents, teachers, employers, politicians, authority in the home, and possibly even over how we will die, at least in Peter’s case and the case of the martyrs. We start at the beginning, when the authorities of the day had issues with the authority that Jesus claimed. Nothing gets hard core religious leaders in knots than to be usurping their hard-won, ego-driven authority over people, and Jesus put them in their place. Today, we struggle daily with political authority: who has it, who wants it, and who abuses it and abuses others over it. Why does the left hate Christians so much? It’s really very simple – because we follow after and obey a higher authority and that is what propels them to try and control everyone. Those who said they would not follow the Cov narrative were persecuted in a manner that told the tale though they denied it. And in the home, how does that play out best to show the example of Christ loving the church? It’s really not complicated at all. Communism, Islam, Nazism, climate change, No Kings – you name it – it all comes down to authority. And everyone will choose; every knee shall bow, every tongue confess. Far from simply trying to understand the Jewish roots of the Bible, this movement seeks to answer the question about what happens when Gentiles and Jews get saved: do Gentiles become Jews?  For centuries, the people of God were Jews, with the exception of some Gentiles who came to faith in the God of Israel. The early church consisted mostly of Jewish believers in Jesus, but when the gospel went to the Gentiles, there was a new dynamic that, unfortunately, even led some to believe that Christians were the new Israel and now received all the promises of God solely. This teaching continues today across the church spectrum. Why is there so much confusion about who is who, when the epistles clearly address these things head on? But with the HRM, there is even more confusion regarding the Mosaic Law, the feasts of Israel, who is a Jew, and what is Israel.
