When we were recording the Exploring San Francisco by Cable Car episode we were looking for the perfect ending to the show. We thought it was going to be Fisherman's Wharf, looking out over the bay, Alcatraz in the distance, Pier 39 seals barking in the background ...   But then we heard about James Morehead. James is the Poet Laureate of Dublin (California, not Ireland), his muse is San Francisco and it turns out he's actually written a poem about the cable cars. So we phoned him up with a crazy idea - would he be up for reading us his poem, while riding on the actual cable cars themselves?   He said yes, we met him on the top of Nob Hill and took a ride down the California Line as he recited us this poem. Unfortunately we didn't have space for the whole piece in the episode but we loved it so much we thought we'd share the full version here instead.    This is James Morehead reciting '9.5mph' while riding the cable cars with us off into the San Francisco sunset. The response was not just negative, it was horrifically homophobic and transphobic. As she continues upon her journey she has experienced multiple hard ships, homelessness and couch surfing, but her hard work, tenacity and commitment to her dream will one day have her one day go into the books as one of the best female muay thai fighters on the planet. Maureen Ennor host of "Single Mom, 2 Kids, Wall St" welcomes Eric Swalwell Democractic candidate for United States Congress. Eric Swalwell was raised in Dublin and graduated from Dublin High School. Since 2006, has served as a prosecutor for the Alameda County District Attorney's Office, where he has prosecuted over 1,000 cases and 32 jury trials, including murder, human-trafficking, domestic violence, sexual assault, burglary and fraud. In 2009, Eric received the Bay Area Mothers Against Drunk Driving Award for Community Service. In 2006, Eric was appointed to the City of Dublin’s Heritage & Cultural Arts Commission where he later served as chairperson. From 2008 to 2010, Eric served on the City of Dublin Planning Commission where he worked to re-start Dublin's economy, enticing businesses back to Dublin and working to expedite development projects and fill vacant commercial real estate sites. In November 2010, Eric was elected to the Dublin City Council. On the Council, Eric passed an initiative to connect Dublin with the Livermore Valley Wine Region and sits on the City's newly created Sub-Committee on Wine Connectivity.
