Piše Muanis Sinanović, bere Igor Velše. Tone Perčič je pisatelj, ki se ga literarna zgodovina in bralstvo spominjata predvsem po romanu Izganjalec hudiča, ki je leta 1995 prejel nagrado kresnik in v slovensko literarno krajino posegel kot presenetljiv postmodernistični rez. Presenetljiv tudi zato, ker je bil Perčič takrat, kakor je še danes, v literarnih krogih skrivnostna, nepoznana osebnost. Leta 1998 je izginil z leposlovnega prizorišča in leta 2000 izdal še monografijo o prostozidarstvu. Roman Dežela je njegova prva knjiga po četrt stoletja. Vsi omenjeni podatki vzpostavljajo draž in suspenz pričakovanja. Če bi morali vsebino romana Dežela zajeti v en sam stavek kot zapis na platnici, bi lahko zapisali nekaj takega: to je mešanica Kafke, Lyncha in Atomik Harmonika. Zveni banalno, a je lahko ustrezna popotnica. Ne glede na to, da je vzporednice s Kafko avtor kritiziral že v enem redkih intervjujev, v davnem obdobju, ko je prejel nagrado kresnik. A tej referenci se ne moremo ogniti. Glavni lik romana, inženir Hundek, je namreč zapleten v klobčič zahtev, ki si jih ni sam izbral in katerih uresničitev se mu strukturno izmika oziroma je kar nemogoča. Vnaprej je obsojen na poraz in sodbo. Po intenzivnem prepričevanju treh odposlancev Dežele, ki ga na videz prijazno, v resnici pa vsiljivo in manipulativno mamijo v njegovi deželi Kenek, se odpravi v omenjeno Deželo, kjer mora zgraditi most. Izkaže se, da je to poskušal že nekdo pred njim, a se je projekt sfižil. Ali pa v resnici ni nihče tega poskušal in je šlo za nekaj drugega? Resničnost se nam stalno izmika, vsak občutek trdnih tal pod bralskimi nogami je zgolj kratkotrajen. V tem se odraža lynchevski element. Režiser je znal logiko sanj v filmu izvrstno upodobiti in to uspeva tudi Perčiču v romanu. Absurdnosti, anahronizmi in jezikovne premestitve se vrstijo, smisel celotnega dogajanja, pa se ves čas izmika. Priče smo nenehnim sanjskim rezom, ki preprečujejo uresničenje pričakovanja in ga prelagajo v prihodnost, to uresničenje pa se nam iz poglavja v poglavje zdi bolj nedosegljivo. Sanjskost sveta se odraža tudi v nedomačni mešanici zloveščega in sproščenega, humornega in grozljivega; kolikor bolj je nekaj grozljivo in zlovešče, bolj je sproščeno in humorno ter obratno. Pola sta neločljivo soodvisna. Potem pa so tu seveda še sanje v sanjah … V romaneskni simboliki bi morda lahko iskali tudi sledi avtorjevega interesa za prostozidarstvo. Hundek se znajde v nekakšnem skrivnem društvu, ne da bi sam to hotel in ne da bi mu lahko ušel. Tudi gradnja mostu bi lahko aludirala na simbole tega gibanja. Po drugi strani bi lahko šlo tudi za alegorijo tranzicijske Slovenije, slovenske družbe kot skrivnega društva, utemeljenega na mimikriji, z absurdnimi gradbenimi projekti in tajkunskimi podvigi, z delitvijo na podeželje in mesto, na zdravo kmečko pamet in norost. S srednjeevropsko vnaprejšnjo obsojenostjo posameznika na podreditev kolektivu po poti pasivne agresije. V tem je element, ki ga povezujemo z imenom Atomik Harmonik. Vendar nobeno branje ne sme biti redukcionistično. Roman vselej sledi lastni notranji logiki razvoja, za katerega je značilno stalno spodmikanje smisla. V tem se sooči tudi z nekaterimi problemi. Ker se razrešitev strukturno odlaga, se lahko vleče tudi tekst, ki hodi po tanki liniji med duhovitostjo in duhovičenjem – od duhovitosti pa je, kot smo omenili, odvisen tudi učinek groze. Pojavlja se vprašanje, ali se bo zgodba ohranila na robu med ambivalentnimi sanjami in bralsko nočno moro, med dražljivim uhajanjem smisla in razpadom v nihilistični kaos. Kljub občasnemu nihanju se Dežela vendarle obdrži na nogah pri svojem zahtevnem romanesknem projektu. Branje za tiste, ki jih poleg trendovske književnosti, primerne za populariziranje na družbenih omrežjih, zanimajo tudi nagajivi zdrsi v nezavedno trendov, za katere je potrebnega tudi nekaj prefinjenega občutka za anahronizme.

Kencan Dengan Tuhan - Jumat, 10 Juli 2026Bacaan: "Tetapi Yesus berkata kepada mereka: "Tidak perlu mereka pergi, kamu harus memberi mereka makan." (Matius 14:16)Renungan: Suatu kali di sebuah komplek perumahan terjadi kebanjiran. Air masuk ke rumah warga. Semua panik. Ada ibu-ibu bawa anak kecil, ada kakek yang tidak bisa jalan. Di grup RT langsung ramai. Ada yang bilang: "Lapor kelurahan aja", "Tunggu bantuan datang", "Kita kan tidak punya perahu". Semuanya punya alasan kenapa "tidak bisa" bergerak sekarang. Tiba-tiba Pak RT ambil ember, galon kosong, dan teriak: "Yang bisa berenang, ikut saya! Kita evakuasi dulu yang anak kecil dan lansia. Soal makan nanti kita pikir bareng." Warga yang tadinya diam jadi ikut. Ada yang masak mie di pos ronda, ada yang buka dapur, ada yang kumpulin pakaian layak pakai. Sore itu semua warga selamat dan dapat makan. Bantuan dari kelurahan baru datang malam. Pak RT bilang, "Kalau kita menunggu bantuan dulu, orang bisa keburu lapar dan kedinginan. Kasih dulu apa yang kita punya." Peristiwa dalam Injil Matius 14:16 terjadi saat 5000 orang kelaparan di tempat yang sepi. Para murid melihat masalahnya besar dan mereka memberikan jalan keluar dengan berkata, "Suruh mereka pergi, supaya mereka dapat mencari makan sendiri." Pola pikir mereka adalah, "Masalah terlalu besar. Bukan kapasitas saya. Biar orang lain." Tetapi Yesus mengingatkan mereka dengan berkata, "Tidak perlu mereka pergi, kamu yang harus memberi mereka makan." Yesus tidak minta mereka mencetak uang atau buka supermarket. Dia minta mereka menyerahkan apa yang ada pada mereka, dalam hal ini 5 roti 2 ikan. Hasilnya? Semua kenyang, bahkan sisa 12 bakul. Sebagai pengikut Yesus terkadang saat ada orang yang membutuhkan pertolongan kita berkata, "Tidak bisa. Tidak cukup. Bukan urusan saya. Sudah ada pemerintah biar mereka yang menangani." Hari ini Tuhan mengingatkan kita bahwa hal kecil yang kita lakukan dengan ketulusan hati, maka akan menjadi berkat yang luar biasa. Mari kita belajar untuk percaya bahwa Tuhan kita Yesus Kristus lebih besar dari masalah yang ada di sekitar kita. Kalau kita percaya penuh pada-Nya maka akan selalu ada jalan keluar untuk setiap permasalahan yang ada di sekitar kita atau yang kita alami. Tuhan Yesus memberkati. Doa:Tuhan Yesus, ampunilah aku kalau selama ini aku cepat berkata "tidak bisa" dan menyuruh orang lain pergi. Buka mataku untuk melihat kebutuhan di sekitarku dan ajarilah aku agar mau memberi dulu apa yang ada di tanganku: waktu, harta, tenaga, dan kasih. Pakailah aku untuk jadi jawaban doa bagi sesama. XX wieku wyjechali z Lublina do Antwerpii, a potem przez morze i ocean, popłynęli  dalej w poszukiwaniu lepszego życia i swojej własnej drogi. Pola chciała się dowiedzieć jak najwięcej o tej części rodziny, która pozostała w Lublinie podczas wojny. Chciała zrozumieć, jak to możliwe, że tyle osób z rodziny pewnego dnia nagle zniknęło. Historia jej rodziny, Krymholców i Kirszenbaumów, tkana ze strzępów informacji przez Ośrodek Brama Grodzka Teatr NN składa się na obraz dawnego Lublina, który wciąż żyje i ciekawi kolejne pokolenia.

I have done my share of traveling in Europe, and when I am there, I visit cathedrals. Most are majestic, and they are filled with Christian art that would take a decent docent a decade to unpack for me. I have never been to Brussels, though I would like to visit. And when I am there, I expect to make a special trip to the Cathedral of St. Michael and St. Gudula. That is the subject of Flora Cassen's new book, "Stained Glass: A Reflective History of Antisemitism." The cathedral is, by all accounts, a masterpiece. Built between the 13th and 15th centuries, it rises above the old town on its own little hill, and when the lights hit the stonework at night, it looks like lace carved out of sky. But I imagine myself stepping inside. I would look intensely and intentionally at the stained-glass windows — the ones donated by Belgium's first two kings in the 19th century. And inside that beautiful space, an erudite guide might tell a story about a Jew who, in 1370, was accused of torturing Communion wafers.  It is an expression of one of the libels that tormented Jews during the Middle Ages — one of the most bizarre — the host desecration libel. It resulted in six Jews burned at the stake and the rest expelled from the city. And there it is. In the windows. In the tapestries. In the chapel. In the capital of the European Union. Today.  Flora's book is itself a modern medieval tapestry — of Jewish and European history and family memoir, the story of a 15th-century Jewish woman named Beatrice de Luna — also known as Dona Gracia — and the story of Flora's own grandmother, Pola, who fled the Nazi occupation of Belgium through the Congo.  So, why does this book matter, and why do you need to read it? 1) Grande: Todos tenemos un hueco interno de un corazón vacío, al que buscamos llenar con distintas cosas, algunos con el poder, otros con el alcohol o cualquier cosa que uno busca anestesiar el dolor interno que lleva. También dentro de las anestesias que buscamos está la adicción al trabajo. Los adictos al trabajo no nos reconocemos como tal, pero creo que yo estoy dentro de ellos. Por eso digo “no nos reconocemos”. La gente que busca el trabajo, al igual que un alcohólico, busca que su siguiente trago (o su siguiente trabajo) le dé la felicidad que no le dio el anterior. El objetivo del adicto al trabajo ya no es el tener dopamina, calma, sino el ascender económico, el estar arriba en la cima. Es cuando una persona ya ni siquiera va por el dinero, sino que va por el poder. Esto pasa en todos los tipos de ámbitos, incluso el eclesial. Cuando uno busca poder para ser más persona, que ser mejor persona, es porque la anestesia que buscó lo terminó comiendo.2) Felices: Hay veces que creemos que ser famoso o influencer nos dará felicidad. Incluso creemos que el tener más likes nos da felicidad. Pero, las celebridades más famosas e incluso grandes influencers salen en las noticias también porque se suicidan o entran en depresión. Hasta debo decirte tristemente de sacerdotes que se suicidaron, como el padre Matteo en Italia o incluso de sacerdotes que dejaron el ministerio como tantos. Muy a menudo la fama rompe vidas. Vivimos con el pensamiento de que “tener más, es mejor”. Por eso hay gente que está endeudada hasta las manos, porque más deuda es que más tienes y que más feliz serás, y no es ese el pensamiento. Hay gente que ya no vive para comprar sino para pagar lo que compra. Compramos cosas que no tenemos tiempo de disfrutar. Recuerdo en mi caso, que con mi primer sueldo saqué un crédito para poner una piscina en la casa de mis padres. Creo que en estos 14 años me metí dos veces nada más, porque nunca la disfruté por la falta de tiempo, porque tenía por siempre trabajar para terminar de pagar y buscar más trabajo para terminar de pagar. El sueño es muy largo y la vida muy corta. Cuando terminamos de pagar terminamos de vivir.3) Envié: Una vez escuché que los místicos son los atletas de la conciencia, pues hacen este proceso de búsqueda a lo trascendente. Hace unos meses visité a un médico que estuvo a punto de morir. Me contó que vio una luz clarísima y sentía que se iba, pero le dijeron “No, todavía no es tu momento”. Este médico amigo hoy está aquí luego de su operación de un tumor. Su vida cambió y quiere cambiar vidas a través de la medicina y a través de la espiritualidad. Y una vez me dijo “Comprendí que si rompo el celular no deja de existir la internet. Comprendí que cuando termine esta vida, comenzaré a vivir”. Me quedé maravillado y ahí comprendí por qué doña Pola que tiene Alzheimer hay momentos que tiene picos de lucidez, porque hay algo divino que todos llevamos y esa luz que todos tenemos nos recuerda que nos encontraremos tarde o temprano con la luz eterna. Dios está en nosotros, junto a nosotros y con nosotros, como dice el término Emanuel (Dios con nosotros). Algo bueno está por venir.
