Primary elections are coming up for the federal, state, and local level. We hear from gubernatorial candidates: Phil Weiser, Michael Bennet, and Erik Underwood, as well as candidates for Senate: John Hickenlooper, Karen Breslin, and Julie Gonzales. The candidate forum was hosted Colorado Democratic Party in March 2026.

Democratic gubernatorial candidate Terri Pickens says she is running to address what she sees as declining freedoms, ongoing budget issues and ineffective leadership in Idaho. She is campaigning on a promise to restore a balanced budget, work more collaboratively with lawmakers and move away from what she calls “culture war legislation.”

The field to replace longtime Illinois Senator Dick Durbin is a crowded one: 16 people are vying for the nomination. Leading in the polls are Congresswoman Robin Kelly, representing Illinois' 2nd district, Congressman Raja Krishnamoorthi, who represents Illinois' 8th district and Illinois Lieutenant Governor Juliana Stratton.
