Is there any natural phenomenon that truly scares you? Maybe a thunderstorm, a flood or a tornado? How about something much less common but pretty real: spider rain! Yup! It may rain spiders in some places of our planet. And after it happens, the whole ground is covered with spider web like a white carpet. There're many weird places on Earth where really strange things can happen. For example, a sleeping town - people fall asleep there without any particular reasons and their sleep may last long. Another place is a city where no boys are born and girls truly rule there. The work that Jesus began was to be completed by his disciples, who were to be his witnesses in Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria, and to the very remotest part of the earth. Luke's account of the early apostolic church concludes with Paul, under house arrest, preaching the gospel in Rome “with all boldness and without hindrance” (Acts 28:31). He was bound but the gospel was not. And for two thousand years, this gospel has continued to go forth with all boldness and, despite many attempts to stop it, without any true hindrance.

Four lessons as we seek to bring the gospel message to the end of the earth. Guest missionary.
Argument: Knowing God means embracing the message and the mission of Jesus. Outline: 1. The sobering implications of not believing the Word (44–46a) 2. The sweeping scope of Christ's mission (47) 3. The staggering expressions of God's sovereignty (48–52)
Closing out our series looking at the Missio Dei, we were reminded that "God does not have a mission for the church. He has a church for the mission." And He has given His church ascension power for the mission.
