Before his fall, Satan—originally known as Lucifer—was a magnificent angel created by God with a high and holy purpose. What was Satan's original purpose? Ezekiel 28:12-15 describes him as “the seal of perfection, full of wisdom and perfect in beauty… anointed as a guardian cherub.” Lucifer dwelled in the very presence of God, appointed to serve and protect the holiness of Heaven.Satan's original purpose reflected honor, worship, and leadership among the heavenly hosts. Isaiah 14:12 refers to him as the “morning star,” suggesting a position of brilliance and influence. He was not created as evil but as good, endowed with freedom, beauty, and responsibility.Yet pride corrupted his purpose. Lucifer sought not to serve God but to be like God. Isaiah 14:13-14 reveals his downfall: “I will ascend to Heaven; I will raise my throne above the stars of God...” This rebellion led to his expulsion from Heaven and transformation into Satan, the adversary.Even the highest can fall when pride overtakes their purpose. However, God's authority prevails, and His purposes stand firm. Understanding Satan's origin teaches us to stay humble, obedient, and grounded in God's will.Referenced Verses: Ezekiel 28:13Ezekiel 28:14Isaiah 14:12-14Proverbs 16:5Revelation 12:7-9Luke 10:18Ezekiel 28:17Proverbs 11:2Proverbs 29:23Proverbs 16:18-Social Media Ministries, founded by Spencer Coffman, is committed to sharing the Word of God with the entire world. In this special message from Everyday Mission, guest speaker Daniel Dixon unpacks why we multiply as followers of Jesus. From the Great Commission in Matthew 28:18–20, we're reminded that multiplication isn't just a church growth strategy—it's the heartbeat of God's mission. We multiply because the gospel is important, people are important, and God is important. When we grasp the weight of His authority and the beauty of His presence, we're compelled to share His love and make disciples everywhere. For more information about Integrity Church, visit our website, http://liveintegritychurch.org Connect with us on social media throughout the week to stay up to date on events and things happening at Integrity! 2 Timothy 2:1-2 teaches us that real thriving means making disciples because making disciples multiplies faith and matures faith. In the call to multiply faith, the enemy that combats against this is oftentimes selfish faith. Selfish faith is more concerned about me, myself, and I rather than God's kingdom, his mission, and his people. The way we surrender our selfish faith is by being given a vision of a thriving life that is more compelling than our selfish ways. Multiplying faith is a more compelling way to live because God's salvation extends beyond one person but carries on from generation to generation. But also, discipleship provides the means for mature faith. Paul explains discipleship always happens in the context of personal and proximate relationships. And it's through relationships that people come to love Christ above all. Discipleship is not an easy task but God has provided a source that his people can always return to for strength and it's his well of grace. This is what sustains us and strengthen us to make disciples who make disciples.

Making Disciples - Who is a Disciple | Ps Chris | Sunday 19 October
At the heart of the gospel is a powerful truth: God will always love you. He is not merely a distant Creator. He is your loving Father. His love is not based on your performance, perfection, or past. It is unconditional, unwavering, and eternal. 1 John 3:1 declares, “See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are!”No matter what you've done or how far you've strayed, God's love remains constant. Like the father in Luke 15 who ran to welcome his prodigal son, God longs to restore, embrace, and pour grace upon you. His love isn't earned, it's given freely through Jesus Christ. Romans 8:38-39 assures us that “nothing can separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”Your identity is not in failures or circumstances, but in being sons and daughters of a faithful, compassionate Father. When the world rejects you, when you feel unworthy or alone, remember, God's arms are open. His love never fails, never fades, and never ends. He is your Father, and He will always love you.Referenced Verses: Luke 15:11-32Galatians 4:6Acts 3:191 Corinthians 8:6Matthew 7:11Romans 8:35-39Revelation 3:20-Social Media Ministries, founded by Spencer Coffman, is committed to sharing the Word of God with the entire world. 261. A Episode on Telling the Truth for Everyone (Virtue 4) In this week's episode we explore what it really means to be people who tell the truth, even when it costs us. We look at why we sometimes hold back or twist the truth; whether to be liked, to stay in control, or to protect ourselves and how Scripture calls us to something deeper. Together we'll learn how disciples of Jesus can become known for honesty that is both courageous and full of grace. This powerful message takes us deep into Acts 18, where we witness the Apostle Paul's transformative ministry in Corinth—one of the most morally corrupt cities of the ancient world. What stands out immediately is Paul's shift in approach: after attempting to impress the intellectual elite in Athens with sophisticated arguments, he arrives in Corinth determined to know nothing except 'Jesus Christ and him crucified.' This radical simplicity becomes the foundation for explosive spiritual growth. We're challenged to examine whether our own faith rests on human wisdom or the power of God. The message also explores the beautiful partnership between practical work and spiritual calling—Paul made tents with Priscilla and Aquila while simultaneously building God's kingdom. This reminds us that our workplaces aren't just where we earn income; they're mission fields where we spend roughly 90,000 hours of our lives. The Lord's encouragement to Paul—'Do not be afraid, for I am with you'—speaks directly to our own fears about sharing faith. When we feel that burning, anxious excitement in our chest, that's often the Holy Spirit prompting us to speak truth into someone's life. The transformation of Sosthenes from synagogue leader to beaten victim to faithful co-worker illustrates how God works through persecution to bring people to Himself. Ultimately, we're reminded that our calling isn't to be eloquent or successful by worldly standards—it's simply to be faithful in proclaiming Jesus, trusting that He will build His church.
In your walk with God, you may experience closing doors - relationships end, opportunities fade, or seasons shift. While such closures may seem like losses, Scripture reveals they are often divine redirections. Proverbs 16:9 reminds us, "In his heart a man plans his way, but the Lord directs his steps." When one door shuts, it is not always a rejection. Sometimes it is a preparation. When God is closing doors in your life, He doesn't merely open another door. Sometimes, He breaks down entire walls to make a way where there seemed to be none. In Acts 16, Paul and his companions were kept from entering certain regions. Eventually, they were allowed to enter an area, and many people gave their lives to Christ. Isaiah 43:19 declares, "See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness..."Try to see closing doors as catalysts for greater breakthroughs rather than endings. Trust that God is the One who breaks down walls, and when He leads, no barrier can stand. Walk by faith, knowing that sometimes closing doors are the beginning of something far greater.Referenced Verses: Revelation 3:7-8Proverbs 16:9Acts 16:6-7Romans 8:281 Corinthians 16:51 Corinthians 16:9-Social Media Ministries, founded by Spencer Coffman, is committed to sharing the Word of God with the entire world. Why would a parish packed with on-fire disciples feel stagnant? You'd think that if you put a dozen former FOCUS missionaries in one parish, it would explode with fruitfulness—but almost nothing happened. The truth is, even the most passionate disciples need a clear path and a culture that supports mission. Without it, the fire fizzles. In this episode, I talk about why real change is uncomfortable but necessary, what a parish of missionary disciples actually looks like, and how a community can shift from cruise ship mode to fire station mode—where mission is normal and conversion is celebrated. Pastor Regina shares a message from Matthew 28:16–20 on Jesus’ Great Commission, reminding us that making disciples is more than learning—it’s living and sharing the love of Christ in our daily lives.
On this episode of The Make, Trevor DeVage welcomes Pantano's own Brandon Osmer, a Caliber Collision GM, husband, and dad, to share how following Jesus shapes his workplace, his family, and his community. From leading a collision shop with compassion to walking through loss, IVF, and parenting three strong-willed kids, Brandon's story shows how ordinary moments become opportunities for extraordinary faith and discipleship.
Early in the basketball season, the coach at our neighborhood middle school seemed to work hardest convincing his players to risk shooting the ball. “Shoot!” he pleaded from the sidelines. His players eagerly passed the ball. Dribbling was a favorite too. The season was half over before most of them would shed their doubts and try to shoot the ball to score. But “going for it” made all the difference. By obeying their coach, letting go of doubt, and trying—even if they often missed the target—they learned to win. Jesus teaches us to let go of doubt to obey His call to make disciples. He explains, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you” (Matthew 28:18-20). In practical terms, this can mean stepping out of our comfort to share our story of what God has done for us. Or getting involved in the lives of our hurting neighbors, showing them Jesus’ love. Such approaches work, but only if we let go and try them. Above all, we go in Jesus’ authority to attempt what may look hard—making disciples. But we need not fear. Jesus promised: “Surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age” (v. 20).

256. Pride or Purpose: examining the issue of Christian Nationalism. In this week's episode, we explore “Pride or Purpose?”. Looking at the problem of Christian nationalism and tracing its roots, we ask whether discipleship calls us to defend nations or to expand the Kingdom of God. We contrast the unrest we have seen in recent weeks with what we see in the Kingdom of God. Finally, we offer practical steps for Kingdom-first discipleship, praying for enemies, practising hospitality, and speaking gospel truth over politics - closing with the call to “Seek first the Kingdom of God.” Support the podcast with a coffee.... https://www.buymeacoffee.com/crisrogers To get a copy of The Bible Book By Book head here... https://www.eden.co.uk/christian-books/bible-study/bible-study-reference-books/bible-background/the-bible-book-by-book/ Rev Dr Cris Rogers is a church leader at allhallowsbow.org.uk and Director of Making Disciples. When you hear the phrase "The Great Commission," what is your initial reaction? There can be a tendency in the church to relegate the carrying out of this command to those who are "called," or perhaps to those of a certain personality type.

Whether you're taking a class, doing a job, or raising a family, success begins with defining what it means to WIN. For Christians, “winning” isn't just going to church, being more religious, or even “becoming a better person.” It's making disciples of Jesus Christ, period. But what is a disciple? And how do we make them? In the New Testament, Jesus and the first Christians left us a discipleship game plan, and everyone - from brand-new believers to life-long Christians - has a part to play in it. Throughout this series, you'll discover new ways that you can win people for Jesus Christ, so join The Story every Sunday in August as we explore the X's and O's of making disciples.
In this GoMission episode, Mark Gilmore sits down with BCM senior Ben Stoeckmann to reflect on his seven-week internship in Grenada. From curvy mountain roads to palm-lined beaches, Ben's journey was filled with gospel opportunities—three Cola Clash–style youth outreaches, preaching in multiple communities, and connecting with local believers. Yet, the greatest lesson came not from the events themselves, but from what followed: the urgent need to pray for and invest in disciples, not just decisions.
