What does it truly mean to make disciples? In this powerful four-part conclusion to the Commands of Christ series, we explore the Great Commission as the crescendo of all that Jesus commanded. Rooted in Matthew 28:18–20, this series calls us to move from inward transformation to outward multiplication. As we have spent four years treasuring, meditating on, and living out Christ's commands, we now step into the command to teach others to observe all things He has taught us.Have we allowed the commands of Christ to shape our lives so deeply that we are compelled to pass them on to others? What legacy of discipleship are we leaving behind for the next generation? As we conclude this four-year journey through the commands of Christ, we are invited into the very heartbeat of discipleship: to go, to teach, and to pass on what we've received. The Great Commission is not the end—it's a beginning. Jesus calls us to treasure His commands, not only in our study and meditation, but in our obedience and our sharing (Matthew 28:18–20). We've discovered that these 51 commands are not mere rules but revelations of Christ's character, windows into His heart, and pathways into deeper relationship with Him. From abiding in Him to receiving His power, from denying self to awaiting His return, each command has formed a beautiful mosaic of what it means to follow Jesus. Now, with full hearts, we pass the baton—encouraging every listener to continue in the Word, to keep treasuring His commands, and to go make disciples. Let us walk forward with boldness, knowing that Christ goes with us, and let us live in such a way that others see Him clearly through our lives. This is not just a podcast series—it is the ongoing call of Christ. May we hear it and follow Him faithfully.Want to go deeper in studying this command of Christ? Christmas is often called a time of giving, but what does that truly mean for believers? In this powerful sermon, “Christmas Is a Time of Giving,” we dive into the biblical foundation of giving and discover how this season reflects the heart of God Himself. From John 3:16, where God gave His only Son out of love, to Matthew 2:11, where the wise men presented gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh, giving is at the core of God's character. Every good and perfect gift comes from above (James 1:17), and through Christ, we've already received the greatest gift of all—eternal life. This message challenges you to look beyond holiday traditions and worldly distractions to rediscover the true meaning of Christmas. Are we giving for love, or just following human customs? Learn why Jesus' birth, though not on December 25th, is still worth celebrating as a reminder of God's ultimate gift to humanity. Like the shepherds who witnessed the Savior's arrival (Luke 2:17), we are called to go out and share the good news with others, spreading the light of Christ in a dark world. As believers, we're commanded to “go and make disciples of all nations” (Matthew 28:19–20). That begins with giving—the gift of truth, love, and the gospel message. Use this season to reflect God's generosity by sharing your faith, encouraging others, and pointing them to Jesus, the greatest gift of all. Christmas is more than a tradition; it's an opportunity to live out the love of God every day.Referenced Verses: John 3:16Matthew 2:11John 19:39Luke 2:17James 1:17Matthew 28:16-20-Social Media Ministries, founded by Spencer Coffman, is committed to sharing the Word of God with the entire world. Are we treasuring His commands in such a way that our lives overflow with the desire and ability to make disciples? As we reflect on the journey through the commands of Christ, we now arrive at the climactic call to make disciples—a commission that encapsulates all we've learned and lived out. Rooted in Matthew 28:18–20, this command is not just about going, but about going with the authority of Christ, filled with His Spirit, and teaching others to observe—to treasure and guard—everything He has commanded. Discipleship is the natural fruit of our own walk with Jesus; we cannot lead others where we ourselves have not gone. As disciplined followers who abide in His Word, we are called to multiply that life in others, knowing we do not go alone—He is with us always. In a world often content with conversion, Christ calls us to spiritual maturity—to shape lives that are rooted, trained, and transformed. His commands, covering every area of life, are His heart expressed, and to teach them is to lead others into deeper fellowship with Him. Let us walk worthy of this calling, empowered by His presence, faithful in His Word, and committed to the mission: making disciples of all nations.Want to go deeper in studying this command of Christ? Are you ready to receive what God has for you? In this powerful sermon, you'll learn how to position your heart and mind to receive God's blessings, direction, and divine provision. Many believers pray for breakthrough but never prepare to handle it. God has plans to prosper you, not to harm you—plans to give you hope and a future (Jeremiah 29:11). But if you aren't abiding in Him and renewing your mind daily through Scripture, you may not be ready to receive the blessings He's waiting to pour out.Through passages like John 15:4, Romans 12:2, and 1 Corinthians 3:1–3, this message reveals the importance of spiritual maturity and transformation. Paul reminds us that immature believers can't handle the “solid food” of deeper faith, and Jesus calls us to abide in Him so that we may bear much fruit. Being ready to receive means letting go of pride, growing in character (Romans 5:3–4), and staying rooted in God's Word. When you commit to the Lord whatever you do (Proverbs 16:3), your plans will succeed—because they'll align with His will. You'll also be challenged to evaluate what influences your life. Are you supporting godly, biblical content—or things that pull you away from God's truth? This sermon dives deep into spiritual discernment, showing how the Holy Spirit reveals what should stay and what must go. As you seek God with all your heart (Jeremiah 29:13) and draw near to Him (2 Chronicles 15:2), He will draw near to you, revealing His plan and preparing you to receive every promise He's made.If you're ready to grow in faith, overcome spiritual immaturity, and step into God's divine plan, this message will help you prepare. Be ready to receive more than you can ask or imagine, because when you seek first His kingdom (Matthew 6:33), everything else will be added to you.Referenced Verses: Jeremiah 29:111 Corinthians 3:1-3Romans 5:3-4Jeremiah 29:132 Chronicles 15:2Proverbs 16:3Matthew 6:33-Social Media Ministries, founded by Spencer Coffman, is committed to sharing the Word of God with the entire world. What's the difference between church growth and real discipleship? Pastor Bob Reed found out the hard way—even as his Florida church was thriving numerically, he realized something was missing. That realization led him on a journey that would reshape his entire approach to ministry. Now leading CyLife Church in Texas, Bob shares how he moved from stage-focused ministry to relational discipleship, why he had to confess to his congregation that his relationship with Jesus had become "professional," and what it actually takes to create a culture of disciple-making.This is a conversation about getting honest with yourself, your calling, and what success really means in ministry.Get a chance to win a free copy of 'Real Life Discipleship' by Jim Putman by signing up for our newsletter at innovativechurchleaders.org! What does it truly look like to treasure Christ's commands and help others do the same?As we reflect on these four years of immersing ourselves in the commands of Christ, we now arrive at the crescendo: making disciples. This command, rooted in the Great Commission (Matthew 28:18–20), is not merely a call to evangelize, but a lifelong invitation to teach others to observe—to guard, treasure, and live out—all that Christ has commanded. Discipleship is not about producing spiritual converts alone, but nurturing disciplined followers of Jesus, shaped by His Word and empowered by His presence. We are reminded that the authority to go comes not from ourselves, but from the risen Christ who sends and stays with us. True discipleship begins in the quiet places of worship, overflows from a heart that treasures His Word, and is sustained by the power of His Spirit. As we go, we do not go alone—we go with the King, bearing His heart to the nations. May we live in obedience to His call, becoming disciples who make disciples, for His glory and by His grace.Want to go deeper in studying this command of Christ? God doesn't play favorites. In this powerful sermon, “God Is Impartial,” discover how the Lord judges with perfect fairness and equity. The Bible makes it clear that God shows no partiality and accepts no bribes (Deuteronomy 10:17). He sees all people as equal in His sight, whether Jew or Gentile, male or female, slave or free (Galatians 3:28). This message challenges believers to reflect God's impartial nature in their own lives and relationships. In a world filled with favoritism, prejudice, and discrimination, God calls us to be different. As Acts 10:34 declares, “God does not show partiality.” That means no favoritism, no bias, and no double standards. We are all one in Christ Jesus, and every believer has equal access to God's love, mercy, and salvation. Learn how to live with biblical equity, treating others equally, and fairly—according to their needs and God's standard of justice (Psalm 9:8, Romans 2:11, James 2:1).This sermon also explores the difference between equality and equity from a biblical perspective. God judges with equity because He knows our hearts, our circumstances, and our callings. He is perfectly fair, holding teachers, leaders, and believers accountable according to the responsibilities He's given them (James 3:1). You'll gain insight into how God's impartiality shapes true Christian character—humility, love, and righteousness guided by the Holy Spirit. If you want to be more like Christ, you must learn to see others the way God sees them. This message will inspire you to love your neighbor as yourself, show no favoritism, and walk in spiritual maturity by living out God's impartial nature. Dive into the Scriptures, study their context, and let the Holy Spirit transform the way you see and treat others.Referenced Verses: Deuteronomy 10:17Acts 10:34Galatians 3:28Romans 2:11James 2:1Psalms 9:8-Social Media Ministries, founded by Spencer Coffman, is committed to sharing the Word of God with the entire world. As we have spent four years treasuring, meditating on, and living out Christ's commands, we now step into the command to teach others to observe all things He has taught us.What does it truly mean to make disciples, and how are we living out the commands of Christ in a way that impacts others? Are we treasuring His Word so deeply that it overflows into discipling others? As we come to the final command in this rich four-year journey through the words of Christ, we are brought to the heart of it all—making disciples. The Great Commission is not just a call to proclaim salvation, but an invitation to walk with others as they grow in their relationship with Jesus. We are reminded that discipleship is more than teaching facts; it is guiding others to observe—to treasure, guard, and live out—the commands of Christ (Matthew 28:18–20). We do this not in our own strength but under His authority and in the power of His presence, promised to be with us always. True discipleship begins in the quiet place of worship, flows from hearts that are first surrendered, and continues as we share with others what we ourselves have received. Like disciplined athletes pressing toward a heavenly prize (1 Cor. 9:25), we are called to pursue Christ, to be shaped by His Word, and to multiply that life in others. Making disciples isn't a burden but a joy, an overflow of love for Jesus and for His people. Let us go with confidence—not in ourselves, but in the One who calls and empowers, who is always with us, even to the end of the age. Want to go deeper in studying this command of Christ? What does the Bible really say about sex outside of marriage? In this powerful message, “Sex Outside Marriage,” discover God's truth about purity, holiness, and the covenant of marriage. While the world normalizes sexual sin, God's Word calls believers to a higher standard—one rooted in faith, obedience, and love. This sermon tackles a topic many avoid, yet it's one that is vital for spiritual growth and the health of families, relationships, and society as a whole.Scripture makes it clear that sex before marriage (fornication) and sex outside marriage (adultery) are sins against God and against your own body. As 1 Corinthians 6:18 says, “Flee from sexual immorality… whoever sins sexually sins against their own body.” God designed sex as a beautiful gift within marriage—a sacred act that unites husband and wife as one flesh (Genesis 2:24). When that design is perverted, it leads to brokenness, guilt, and spiritual damage. Yet through repentance and faith in Jesus, there is forgiveness and restoration. This sermon explores powerful passages like Deuteronomy 22:13–28, 1 Corinthians 7:2, and Hebrews 13:4, showing how God's plan for purity has never changed. Jesus Himself said that even looking with lust is sin (Matthew 5:28), reminding us that purity begins in the heart. You'll also learn how to guard your thoughts, avoid temptation, and strengthen your walk with Christ through obedience and the power of the Holy Spirit. If you've fallen short in this area, know this truth: Jesus has already paid the price for your sins. When you repent, He forgives and restores. You don't need to live in shame or condemnation.Turn back to God and “go and sin no more” (John 8:11). This message will challenge you to honor the marriage bed, live in sexual purity, and represent Christ faithfully in every part of your life.Referenced Verses: Deuteronomy 22:13-28Deuteronomy 22:21Deuteronomy 22:221 Corinthians 7:2Hebrews 13:41 Corinthians 6:18-Social Media Ministries, founded by Spencer Coffman, is committed to sharing the Word of God with the entire world. In this stirring and deeply encouraging Advent message, Pastor Karl launches the new series The King Has Come with a powerful exploration of the first great gift Jesus brings: hope.Turning to Luke 2 and the quiet, largely forgotten figures of Simeon and Anna, Pastor Karl paints a vivid picture of two elderly saints who spent decades waiting in faithful obscurity—praying unanswered prayers, worshiping through silence, and serving without recognition. Yet the moment a 40-day-old baby was carried into the temple, their Spirit-illuminated eyes saw what the crowds missed: the long-promised Messiah, the Consolation of Israel, the Redemption of Jerusalem.Through their story, Pastor Karl reveals that biblical hope is not wishful thinking; it is the confident, unshakable expectation of future good rooted in the unchanging character and faithfulness of God. Hope grows in the hidden soil of daily faithfulness, thrives when God chooses to work in silence, and celebrates the tiny seed because it already trusts the coming harvest. Simeon and Anna never saw Jesus preach, heal, or rise from the dead—yet they held the infant King and departed in peace, because they knew who He was long before they saw what He would do.A tender yet convicting word for everyone who has waited a long time and is still waiting, prayed a long time and is still praying, and hoped a long time and is still hoping. In a season that can feel rushed and noisy, this message calls us to slow down, stay faithful, and train our eyes to recognize the presence of the King—even when He shows up wrapped in the ordinary, the small, and the seemingly insignificant.Because the King has come, hope is not dead. It is alive, resilient, and bubbling up in every heart that keeps showing up and keeps looking for Jesus. Essential listening for anyone who needs fresh hope this Christmas.Watch all our sermons on our youtube channel "Flipside Christian Church"Join us in person 9:00am & 10:30am every Sunday morning.37193 Ave 12 #3h, Madera, CA 93636For more visit us at flipside.churchFor more podcasts visit flipsidepodcasts.transistor.fm

Instead, we look at how followers of Jesus can practise wise and thoughtful discernment with the stories we take in. The conversation moves beyond rules and into formation, asking what shapes our imagination, what draws us towards Christ, and what quietly pulls us away. Pastor Scott illustrates discipleship by inviting Leon to share how joining a men's group after COVID deepened his faith and relationships. What began as a search for knowledge became a journey of friendship with Jesus and learning to disciple others through everyday relationships. Scott connects Leon's story to Acts 18, emphasizing that true church growth happens when disciples make disciples who live out the Great Commission. #Discipleship #GreatCommission #Acts18 #FaithInAction #CommunityInChrist
264. Love that heals, Charity (Vertue 6) In this week's episode, we explore the heavenly virtue of Charity-love in action, the virtue that heals both giver and receiver. We'll look at what true charity really means, why it's more than generosity, and how it becomes the antidote to greed and self-interest. Through story and reflection, we'll unpack Augustine's warning that “charity is no substitute for justice withheld,” and consider how love that is real must also be fair. In Matthew 28:18-20, Matthew writes, “And Jesus came and said to them, ‘All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.'” The command of Jesus to make disciples contains the heavenly call to go deep and to go wide. The mission of the church is wide. It can't be much wider. Jesus says “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations.” That's as wide as it gets. The mission is deep “Go and make disciples, baptize them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you.” That's deep. There is a difference between teaching them a few things and teaching them “all that I have commanded you.” There is a difference between teaching them to comprehend all that I have commanded you and teaching them “to observe all that I have commanded you.” Jesus doesn't give us the choice between going wide with the gospel and going deep with disciples. It is one of the challenges that the church continually must reckon with as we seek to advance the mission of God. It is also why we need all hands-on deck. Making disciples is the collective responsibility of all Christians because only together can we go both deep and wide in the mission of God. This Sunday's message is called Deep and Wide: Making Disciples to the Ends of the Earth. Our text will be taken from Acts 15:36-16:5. This is a great text to study as we are have more baptisms this week again following the second service. Looking forward to being together to celebrate our gracious and good, good God. In this special message from Everyday Mission, guest speaker Daniel Dixon unpacks why we multiply as followers of Jesus. From the Great Commission in Matthew 28:18–20, we're reminded that multiplication isn't just a church growth strategy—it's the heartbeat of God's mission. We multiply because the gospel is important, people are important, and God is important. When we grasp the weight of His authority and the beauty of His presence, we're compelled to share His love and make disciples everywhere. For more information about Integrity Church, visit our website, http://liveintegritychurch.org Connect with us on social media throughout the week to stay up to date on events and things happening at Integrity! 2 Timothy 2:1-2 teaches us that real thriving means making disciples because making disciples multiplies faith and matures faith. In the call to multiply faith, the enemy that combats against this is oftentimes selfish faith. Selfish faith is more concerned about me, myself, and I rather than God's kingdom, his mission, and his people. The way we surrender our selfish faith is by being given a vision of a thriving life that is more compelling than our selfish ways. Multiplying faith is a more compelling way to live because God's salvation extends beyond one person but carries on from generation to generation. But also, discipleship provides the means for mature faith. Paul explains discipleship always happens in the context of personal and proximate relationships. And it's through relationships that people come to love Christ above all. Discipleship is not an easy task but God has provided a source that his people can always return to for strength and it's his well of grace. This is what sustains us and strengthen us to make disciples who make disciples.

This powerful message takes us deep into Acts 18, where we witness the Apostle Paul's transformative ministry in Corinth—one of the most morally corrupt cities of the ancient world. What stands out immediately is Paul's shift in approach: after attempting to impress the intellectual elite in Athens with sophisticated arguments, he arrives in Corinth determined to know nothing except 'Jesus Christ and him crucified.' This radical simplicity becomes the foundation for explosive spiritual growth. We're challenged to examine whether our own faith rests on human wisdom or the power of God. The message also explores the beautiful partnership between practical work and spiritual calling—Paul made tents with Priscilla and Aquila while simultaneously building God's kingdom. This reminds us that our workplaces aren't just where we earn income; they're mission fields where we spend roughly 90,000 hours of our lives. The Lord's encouragement to Paul—'Do not be afraid, for I am with you'—speaks directly to our own fears about sharing faith. When we feel that burning, anxious excitement in our chest, that's often the Holy Spirit prompting us to speak truth into someone's life. The transformation of Sosthenes from synagogue leader to beaten victim to faithful co-worker illustrates how God works through persecution to bring people to Himself. Ultimately, we're reminded that our calling isn't to be eloquent or successful by worldly standards—it's simply to be faithful in proclaiming Jesus, trusting that He will build His church.

Early in the basketball season, the coach at our neighborhood middle school seemed to work hardest convincing his players to risk shooting the ball. “Shoot!” he pleaded from the sidelines. His players eagerly passed the ball. Dribbling was a favorite too. The season was half over before most of them would shed their doubts and try to shoot the ball to score. But “going for it” made all the difference. By obeying their coach, letting go of doubt, and trying—even if they often missed the target—they learned to win. Jesus teaches us to let go of doubt to obey His call to make disciples. He explains, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you” (Matthew 28:18-20). In practical terms, this can mean stepping out of our comfort to share our story of what God has done for us. Or getting involved in the lives of our hurting neighbors, showing them Jesus’ love. Such approaches work, but only if we let go and try them. Above all, we go in Jesus’ authority to attempt what may look hard—making disciples. But we need not fear. Jesus promised: “Surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age” (v. 20).
When you hear the phrase "The Great Commission," what is your initial reaction? There can be a tendency in the church to relegate the carrying out of this command to those who are "called," or perhaps to those of a certain personality type.
