Episode 10 brings us a Photographer, Designer, and Rocket Scientist. You'd think this would be a panel discussion, but no, this is all one man! That man is 2012 Model High School Graduate, Trey Henderson. I was introduced to Trey by Floyd County School's Math Coordinator, and Trey's former teacher, Mrs. Jennifer White. She told me how Trey had worked at SpaceX and I knew I had to get to know this young man. He did not disappoint. Not only has Trey worked for SpaceX, he has worked for a Lockheed/Boeing collaboration, ULA, and he is now working for Blue Origin as a Rocket Scientist! When he has free time, Trey is also an excellent photographer and designer. You can find his work on Instagram at 7rey.Henderson. Go check it out. Impressive stuff from an impressive young man. That is because Mr. Bevels spent over 28 years as a former Floyd County Schools Board Member. From 1988 to 2016, George worked hard to make sure all Floyd County Students were provided for. More than just a Board Member, George discusses his time at GE, coming home from Vietnam, and what it takes to spend a lifetime with the love of your life. Also, a big thanks to Dr. Jackson for his recommendation to speak with George.

Welcome to Episode 33, EdCamp Whitfield! Pay no attention to the name being Episode 34 in the intro... This is number 33. It really was a treat to attend EdCamp Whitfield on Saturday, 10/21/17. Every EdCamp I've been to has been a magical experience and EdCamp Whitfield was no different. Pam Pettyjohn, Ge-Anne Bolhuis and crew put on a great party. That's what an EdCamp really is... an educational party! During this round of EdCamp I (Lee) brought my equipment with me so I did a podcasting session. I was able to have some great conversations with Teri Pendley from Floyd County Schools and then we took some questions from the audience. One of the members of the audience was none other than my AP Government teacher from High School, Mr. Brad Hayes! Mr. Hayes is now the Assistant Principal of the Whitfield County College and Career Academy! He recounted some tales from the past and gave some insights as to what is happening in the present. You are also treated to insights from other Whitfield County College and Career Academy teachers. Chris is a Google Certified Innovator, and a Google in Education Trainer, and was recently accepted to be an Apple Distinguished Educator.
