Only about 5% of businesses and entrepreneurs seeking capital actually raise funding. Angel investors say there is plenty of capital out there but there is a lack of good projects. That is rubbish! There are good projects, but most of the submissions I receive for investment are not worth the paper they're written on. A business plan won't cut it. You need a specific type of presentation. I will tell you what needs to be in the proposal, and what form it should take. Tip 1: Most entrepreneurs think that they are CEO's but couldn't run a meat raffle. This kills the majority of proposals. Investors wouldn't lose their money if they did their homework correctly. I'll give clues for both the entrepreneur and the investor. My guests are Jay Turo, CEO of Growthink, one of America's largest strategic advisory and investment banking firms in the entrepreneurial space, and Rick Kellard, Emmy Award winning producer and writer. Also - some great marketing screw ups and I answer listener's questions.
