A new partnership deal in the ski industry aims to tap into the booming Chinese market. NZSki and Sunac-BonSki have signed on, giving New Zealand direct access to 13.5 million active skiers in China. NZSki CEO Paul Anderson told Mike Hosking while the New Zealanders and Australians make up the bulk of skiers, they've seen an increasing number of Chinese visitors to ski areas – particularly Queenstown. He says they're no longer the traditional bus tours of groups that came through from China, but high spending free independent travellers. I don't usually do this with clients, but this might be of use to you. Do you ever get super, super angry because you have been holding it in and holding it in? You have been patient, kind, communicative… and this happens with a lot of CEOs. They know they need to make a shift, but they do not do it because they are afraid of the consequences. And of course, the consequences just get bigger. That is what is happening. Then you have a big explosion, an energetic explosion of emotion and pent up frustration that all comes out at once. And then it starts bleeding into every part of your life: your body, your relationships, your family. It is dangerous energetically, more dangerous internally than externally. The internal danger is letting it seep in, letting it burn your system, letting it stick around way too long. So what do you do about that? Sure, you can scream, yell, whatever… but what really needs to happen is: What is the outcome you want to achieve? What is the outcome you have not been getting that has you so frustrated you are at the boiling point? That is my topic today. It has happened to everybody. Because at some point, it is just too much. A client pinged me recently with one of those moments, and I took him through a tool I use. Within 15 minutes, you could see and hear that he was completely neutralized, completely shifted, and ready to find the solution. So we started working on the solution. Most people, when they get that angry and that pent up, cannot see a solution. It feels impossible. But you know how it goes: I am possible. The opportunity you have in moments like this is to ask: What is the treasure in this? What is the ridiculous, absurd, outrageous possibility on the other side that is abundant and possible, even though it feels impossible? It has to be ridiculous. We did this exercise with the same client a year ago and helped him create many millions of dollars in his business. This pent up stuff holds a key, if you let it. If you are willing to look at it and solve it sooner. Most people fester in it, wallow in it, go around and around… and that will never solve anything. That will never get you the result you want. So here is my invitation: Put your left hand on your heart. Take a breath. Take another breath. Take another breath. Take another breath. Stay there. Give yourself a full two minutes of this. Let us reset the breath. The breath is one of the simplest neutralizers you can use, simple but not always easy to access. Let me help you ignite your prosperity again. See you soon.
