Healing Pt. 9

In our final podcast in the series, The case for Healing, bottom line, God is a great physician. Lets talk about it. 

In our series, The case for healing, we have set out to find proof from the word of God, is healing for today? My question is this, is prayer for today? I ask because the Bible contains prayers, that we are encouraged to pray, that are directly attached to healing of ones body. So, if healing is not for today, then stop praying to be healed! Lets talk about it. 

Healing Pt. 8

In our series, The case for Healing, we have to determine is Jesus healthy? Have we any proof that Jesus is sick, diseased, in pain, or suffering physically? Is He seated at the right hand of God incapacitated physically in any way? I ask because He is the vine and we are the branches and if we are connected to Him, then what's in Him ought to flow to us. Lets talk about it. 

In our series, The case for Healing, what about the Holy communion? IF it is, as some say, not Gods will to heal, etc...then what do we do about communion? The Apostle Paul said that if we would righty decern the Lords body, that second part of communion, the bread element, then people could be healed and not be weak or die prematurely. If we do not believe in healing, then I suppose communion doesnt mean what it once did??? Lets talk about that.

In our series, The case for Healing, we have been told that God/Jesus, do not heal any more. If this is the case, what do we do with the 9 gifts of the spirit in 1 Corinthians which contain the gifts of healings and the working of miracles? Are the gifts gone now and if so, wouldnt that also call into question the other 7 gifts such as prophesy, tongues etc...? are they all gone? Lets talk about it.

In our series, The case for Healing, we know the bible says we are the Body of Christ. So this raises the question, Does Jesus self harm? If we are the body, and Jesus uses sickness, disease, and pain or allows them, as some say, that would mean that Jesus would allow self harm! Lets talk about it.

In our series, The case for Healing, we can find solid proof that my client, God wishes that you would live a good, long life. Well, what is "long"? The bible indicates that you could live to be 120 years old! The idea of that, for most, seems miserable due to the idea that the body begins to fail. BUT what if in this promise of long life, on the back side of that promise, God would need to step in and cause whatever is hurting that body, to be healed and whole so that you could run your race? Lets talk about it.

Healing

In our series The case for Healing, we are looking for proof, evidences, eye witness accounts that would back the claim, God heals today. What about believing in the eternal promises of God? Not saying do you believe in healing, miracles, etc...but what about His promises? Are they still good today and if so, are there promises of healing in there? Lets talk about it.

In our series, The case for healing, what do we know about shepherds and the relationship they have with their sheep? Would we believe that they cause them harm, allow them to get sick, stay sick, make them sick? Jesus likened sick people to sheep falling into a ditch. He asked, would you get them out or leave them in? Well, would a good shepherd leave you sick or get you out of it? Lets talk about it.

In our series, The case for healing, we have to look at this, is God still a good shepherd? OR is He now a bad one? Seems simple but if we are going to associate sickness and diseases with Gods will for our lives, we then would have to say, God is not a good shepherd. God is now going back on His word in Psalm 23. Is that true? lets talk about it.

In our series, the case for healing, we have to ask, is the book of Acts still relevant for today? When the Bible says that, "You shall receive power after that the Holy ghost comes upon you." Is that power still available today? And if the power is still available, then what do we see as an effect of this power upon people? We see healings, miracles and demons cast out. Lets talk about it. 

In our series, the case for healing, we have to ask, if it were not Gods will to heal, then why commission us to lay hands on the sick and see them be made well? Why did Paul say that the laying on of hands is a basic bible doctrine of the church? If it were Gods will for sickness and diseases, why not commission us to lay hands on the well and make them sick? Lets talk about it.

In our series, the case for healing, today we are looking to discover, did my client, Jesus, authorize us to cast out demons and heal the sick? Can we find quotes, eye witness accounts to back this claim? OR did Jesus withdraw His authorization for us to go forth in His name? Lets talk about it. 

In the charismatic and word of faith group that I was part of we approached healing as simply a matter of faith. If we believed, God would heal us. If we weren't healed the problem wasn't with God it was with us. In this part, I want to explore how we may be able to rethink "Divine Healing" from a more empowered albiet much more complex perspective. Join me for the discussion. When I was in ministry, I frequently conducted healing and miracle services in the USA and abroad. I taught classes on how to minister healing and it was highly effective. I saw amazing things and I saw goofy things and I saw tragic endings. I can't say I have seen it all but I have seen a lot! So what is up with "faith healing?" Is it all baloney? Is it power of suggestion? Is it all emotionalism? Is it God? What about the placebo effect? In our series, The Case for healing, my client, Jesus was quoted as saying many times, "I have come not to do my own will BUT the will of the Father who sent me." Is that the truth? If so, we move from there to ..."And He, Jesus, healed them ALL." still relevant for today? Lets talk about it.

Is it that healing is possible at times, or its some mystery as to when and why Or could we expect that God wants to heal you daily? Whats the connection between healing and bread? Jesus referenced it many times. Lets talk about it. 

In our series, The case for healing, we wanted to make the argument that God is a healing God, a miracle working God. We say it all the time, "God is good, all the time, and all the time, God is good." Well would a good God give a cancer? Would a good God allow you to be sick, diseased? Would a good God let you break your leg for some mysterious reason? God is a good father, so we have to ask, what do good fathers do? 

In our series, the case for healing we are looking into proof through the word of God to find if it is Gods will to heal or is it not? We should be able to find Gods will in this subject as we have in every other topic we hold near and dear to the faith. Why can we believe the bible when it speaks of salvation, murder, fornication, gossip, slander, etc but for some reason cannot believe it when it speaks of healing or miracle?  What about the resurrection? If you believe that Jesus did in fact raise from the dead, then you are going to have to believe some of the side effects of that for believers. Healing and miracles are a part of it. 

In our series, The case for healing we wanted to see if we could find proofs concerning healing and miracles that would stand up in a court of law. Can we find healing in the old covenant and if so, would that prove that you and I under a new one could have healing today? Lets talk about it.

My client stands accused of using, causing, allowing sicknesses, diseases and pains to teach, test, punish people at times. Is that truth? Today we look at the high priest in the Old Testament who was able to stand between the living and the dead as a plague went air borne and that plague stopped. Can we find proof today that my client, sent His son, Jesus, to be our Jubilee? To set captives, free, recovery of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are crushed, broken and bruised? Or as some say, did He come to cause sickness, diseases and pains? He only does the will of the father so if we see Him or hear Him doing or saying anything at all, that would be my clients will. lets talk about it. 

In our series The case for healing, We are representing God as an accused client. He stands accused of making people sick, causing sickness, diseases, pains to teach, test, punish people. As popular as these issues are, would these accusations stand up in a court of law? Could we find eye-witness accounts, quotes, stories to back up these accusations or would they point to the truth that God is a healer? Lets look back at the cleansing of the leper's ritual in the old covenant. What type of picture does this paint of my client, even 1000s of years ago? lets look.

Many accuse Him of making people sick, causing sicknesses, diseases, pains, using them to teach, test, or possibly punish at times. Is that the truth? Would any of these accusations hold up in a court of law?
