How do you use the various social media scheduling tools like Buffer and PostPlanner? Would you consider having someone do your social media for you? In The Show Judith has enjoyed one of her favourite Januarys ever, and reports a couple of other little wins too. Nicola has shifted her energy and talks about a new video ad strategy on Facebook and attracting two new leads via word of mouth. What's Fuelled Their Fire? Judith’s received two nice pieces of feedback about her book, and a third from a client who changed her working week after a First One Free coaching session. Nicola raves about the value she’s enjoyed over the last year from paying £170 to Masterclass.com. This week she’s been studying Aaron Sorkin. M&J make the distinction between original screenplays and adapted ones, two separate Oscars, two separate and quite distinct writing skills. Focus Of The Week How do you use the various social media scheduling tools like Buffer and PostPlanner? And would you consider having someone do your social media for you? Judith thinks it shows and that they are about efficiency not engagement. She recommends a book by Danny Iny called Engagement from Scratch and Nicola advises efficient batching of content and matching the content to the platform. What are you trying to achieve by your social media content and is that a good fit for your ideal client? The “new one” Nicola mentions is DashHudson.com. LISTEN HERE TO OWN IT #260 | Social Media Broadcasting v Engagement Words Of The Week Nicola chooses Right and Judith picks Driving. In the past 125 years, only two Januarys have stayed below freezing for the entire month. Some Vermonters relish a period of warmer temperatures while others lament the melting snow. Is there such a thing as a regular, consistent January thaw?

Welcome back sisters to another hour of women’s liberation music on WLRN! I’m Phoenixx and it is the end of January 2019. Someone said the other day that it felt like the 74th of January! In some ways the month has felt interminable--like it’s just not passing quickly enough. And that it’s just been two Januarys of insanity, violence, hate and abuse and still no impeachment!!!! Luckily, we still have these airwaves of radical women’s liberation feminist thought, action and music as refuge for us refugees fleeing from the continual onslaught of misogyny and male supremacy. A few months ago I put out a call for current women’s music that take on real issues relevant to us as radical feminists and Lesbians. Songs that include such themes like sexism, male supremacy/violence, female revolution, the war on women and girls. Recently I was gifted the album Cronesong released in June 2018 by The River Hags: Lizzie Yee-Haw, Sally Starflower, Lili Yee and Melanie Gorguny! I first encountered the river hags at Ohio Lesbian Music Festival last September. What caught my attention was a comment they made on stage about their anti-pornography position! Later I met one of them handing out anti-pornography stickers! What a sigh of relief to know there were performers at that festival who openly took that political stance and spoke about it. They earned my immediate respect. This next hour I feature their radical feminist americana/folk music with teeth. Enjoy! Please support these wimmin artists; download their Cronesong album: www.riverhags.bandcamp.com Song list: background music: To Soestre VOX 11 River Hags' song in the following order: Burn it Down NAMALT Motherland Amazing Amazons Bring Them HOme Two Sets of Rules Outsiders Flight of the Goddess Let 'Em Fly Yes, We Can Burn it Down (again) Reading of Mary Oliver's poem "A Thousand Mornings" from collection with the same name
Episode 51 kicks off with Megan giving kudos to Michael for "getting it" when it comes to her emotional labor. After Michael is more than happy to accept this praise, the talk shifts to Mike's progress so far in the New Year and what he has been learning in the process. Despite his Grandma's advice, all seems to be moving along nicely. From there, the talk shifts to Marie Kondo, the dangers of HGTV and Mike's fear of public speaking. Megan's case of the Januarys has her writing pithy journals, searching for her old drama high school VHS tapes, buying some tap shoes and giving into some flights of whimsy. The jar gives one of the most ridiculous topics to date which leads Mike and Megan to ranking Pixar movies, debating proper bed making techniques and how to correctly enjoy bread and butter. In case you're wondering who is writing the synopsis - my way is the right way. There's that and a whole lot more so when you're done kissing your clothes and you're allowed to use your phone again, remember there's no wrong way to tune in, download and enjoy Episode 51 of 100 THINGS IN A JAR!!! How are those new year’s resolutions holding up after a week? If you’re like most people who make resolutions this time of year, I'm going to be honest with you...only 20% of you will stick with it past February. Being a personal trainer for the past 10 Januarys, I know how this works. People have the best intentions to get in shape, lose weight, get stronger, or start running, but sadly, 80% of these people will quit for one reason or another. Some studies have even found that only 8% of people keep their resolutions. So why is it so hard to accomplish these goals? Well, a lot of it has to do with how you set your goal in the first place. In this episode, I give you some examples of common fitness goals, and how each can be tweaked to be a bit better, and pull it all together to help you create SMART goals for yourself that will greatly increase the likelihood of your success!

In which Mike and Conrad talk about, in the main at least, In Her Majestys Name, Januarys game of the month. Mike has actually played now so goes through the game, discusses his new crew and how the game actually went. Clue, it was against Matt so the result was always a forgone conclusion.
