On Wednesday's Mark Levin Show, the video with Democratic veterans urging the military and intelligence communities to defy ‘illegal orders' from President Trump, without specifying what those orders are is shocking. This is unprecedented exploitation, implying the President is portrayed as a law-violating dictator. Democrats pretend to support the military while slashing its budgets under Biden. Also, people are falling for media-reported phony scandals, particularly claims that Trump will withhold or tamper with the Epstein files, which some neo-fascists and influencers exploited all summer to attack him and MAGA. The Democrat criticism is endless exploitation to create pseudo-news and impressions. Later, the House Democratic Caucus is embroiled in internal drama after Representative Jesus "Chuy" Garcia rigged his district's election by filing to run again shortly before the deadline, followed by his chief of staff, Patty Garcia, filing just minutes before it closed, and then Garcia retiring for health and family reasons, ensuring no primary or general opponents. This is the Democrats manipulating the electoral process to avoid fair competition. Afterward, Trump has been accused of focusing too much on foreign policy at the expense of domestic issues, but he balances both effectively and often intertwines them. This is nothing but media-driven repetition.  Finally, Scott Jennings calls in to discuss his new book – A Revolution of Common Sense: How Donald Trump Stormed Washington and Fought for Western Civilization. Aaron drops the mic with a jailhouse tale involving littering (yes, really), an angry Ohio cop, and a court date just days before shipping to Lackland. They torch the idea of stolen valor and the performative milfluencer scene, and Trent calls out the “no true Scotsman” nonsense that infects veteran one-upmanship.Oh, and they both agree: if you're using “retired” to feel better than someone with a med board—get over yourself. This one's packed with spicy opinions, war room gossip, and just enough UFC banter to keep your BMF belt warm.

If you haven't heard the first three conversations I recorded with Major General Terry “Max” Haston, go listen to those now!In Part 4 of my conversation with Major General Terry “Max” Haston, we pick up right where we left off: Pushing past the polite version of leadership and getting into the messy, uncomfortable truth. We talk about what really happens behind the scenes when someone climbs the ranks in the military… the jealousy, the backstabbing, the politics, and the weight of responsibility that nobody outside the uniform sees. Max opens up about becoming a general, losing friends in the process, and why firing people (even people he loved) broke his heart. Then we go straight into the topics everyone tiptoes around: Memphis. Chicago. Crime. National Guard deployments. Veterans. Homelessness. The VA system. Unions. Bureaucracy. What's getting better, what's getting worse, and what flat-out pisses us off.If you've been listening to Parts 1–3, you already know: Max doesn't sugarcoat anything, and I'm not here to interrupt him with polite talking points. I'm here to ask the questions most people are too scared to ask, and he answers them with the honesty of someone who's actually lived it.This conversation isn't meant to change your mind, but it is meant to challenge your thinking. There's been a raft of programming out on BBC Radio 4 and 5 Live over the past week about fatherhood. Feedback's heard from listeners to one particular series on Radio 4 - Father Figuring, presented by comedian Darren Harriott. In the series, Darren attempts to untangle his feelings about his complicated relationship with his own dad, and work out what makes a good father today. Andrea Catherwood puts your comments to him. BBC Radio Scotland has seen some big changes in the past week, as the current late night music programming is set to be changed. Veteran presenters Iain Anderson and Billy Sloan are among those seeing their shows wound down, in a move that has caused backlash among some listeners. Brian Ferguson, The Herald's Arts Correspondent, and Norman Paterson, whose music career was changed by an appearance on Iain Anderson's show, weigh in with their thoughts. And from one music legend to another - a new series of Legend is out on BBC Sounds, and this run is all about Bruce Springsteen. He now applies that mission-driven discipline at Tractor Supply Company, where he leads operations and continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen safety, streamline performance, and unlock millions in new production capacity. A Lean Six Sigma Black Belt and Human Performance Advocate, Rodney is committed to developing leaders and building teams who pursue excellence with pride and purpose. A lifelong learner who embraces challenge, he is currently earning his Doctorate in Business with a focus on Strategy and Innovation. Through it all, he remains anchored in faith, family, and service—values that also inspired his children's book, God Is Bigger Than a Bear. A National Impact Rooted in Community Marcus and Melanie also welcome Lindsay Grayson, who serves as the Chief Revenue Officer at K9s For Warriors, overseeing the Development and Marketing teams as she drives brand visibility, deepens donor engagement, and accelerates revenue growth for the nation's largest provider of trained service dogs for military veterans. Since joining the organization, Lindsay has reshaped its fundraising trajectory—boosting revenue by 70% in her first year and leading K9s For Warriors to a historic, record-setting year of giving in 2023. Her performance and impact earned her recognition as a Jacksonville Business Journal Women of Influence honoree. Prior to her nonprofit leadership career, Lindsay worked as a financial advisor with Merrill Lynch, guiding clients through strategic planning and long-term financial goals. A Jacksonville native and proud spouse of an Air Force veteran and First Responder, she finds joy in family time, travel, live music, and cheering on her children, Lucas and Ebby. In This Episode You Will Hear: • At redeployment, something happened to me. During Ramadi, they started really looking at traumatic brain injuries. They started putting sensors in the helmets. (30:34) • If you didn't lose a liter of blood or you're not missing a body part, it's Ibuprofen & water. (30:54) • When I got back and they hooked up my helmet, and they're like: “something's up.” (31:02) • At 31:10, Rodney tells of one of his traumatic brain injury events as a 50 cal gunner. [He hit the gun at 20mph. It was the only thing that kept him from being thrown from the vehicle. • I did about 5 months in another deployment and was Medivacked out to Germany with another head injury. (32:29) • It wasn't like I had to learn to walk again. I had to learn how to walk straight. (33:35) • You know that you have to wait for that 30, 45 to 90 second, depending on what kind of round it is. And then you hear the sound – “Here it is.” You gotta run, just hoping that it doesn't hit you. (36:05) • There's beauty in some fights. (38:33) • Sometimes there's like a calm and pause in war. (42:35) • If you're gonna transition from the military, I think there's some things that are grounded in you – core beliefs, values, and everything like that. We start in orbit, where a revolutionary satellite just used artificial intelligence to reorient itself — a breakthrough that could push space operations toward full autonomy (07:36). Back on the ground, a new bill could force the VA to disclose its secret list of toxic-exposure illnesses, potentially reshaping care for millions of veterans (24:24). Then we turn back the clock. First: the shocking 1932 standoff in Washington, D.C., when the Bonus Army of WWI veterans marched on the capital demanding promised compensation — and were met with tanks, tear gas, and national outrage (36:17). And finally: one of WWII's strangest classified projects — Project Pigeon — a real plan to train pigeons to guide bombs with pinpoint accuracy (47:04). From orbital AI to forgotten veterans, from protest caravans to bomb-guiding birds… this episode delivers history, headlines, and outrage in classic Late For Changeover style. https://lateforchangeover.com/

Like so many who serve, Falklands veteran Geoff Stear took trauma away with him - in his case a very particular reaction to the smell of meat. It was so powerful and debilitating that it made his life almost impossible, leading him to injure himself and endanger others as he tried to get away from the perceived danger. On several occasions it left him hospitalised – once with a broken neck - with no recollection of how he had got there. His life hit rock-bottom, until a chance meeting with a stranger changed everything. In this heartwarming episode, Geoff introduces Dr Sian Williams to his unlikely saviour Charlie, whose capacity to intervene when danger threatens has given Geoff back his freedom and sense of worth.Producer: Tom Alban

Show SummaryNatalie Elliott Handy, a caregiver for her husband and mother and co-host of the Confessions of a Reluctant Caregiver Podcast. During our conversation, we share the commitment that she and her sister have to highlighting and supporting military connected caregivers. Provide FeedbackAs a dedicated member of the audience, we would like to hear from you about the show. Please take a few minutes to share your thoughts about the show in this short feedback survey. By doing so, you will be entered to receive a signed copy of one of our host's three books on military and veteran mental health. About Today's GuestNatalie is someone who genuinely loves people. She has a natural passion for meeting new faces, staying closely connected with family, friends, and colleagues, and, most of all, helping others. Anyone who knows her will readily say, “Natalie doesn't know a stranger.” It's simply who she has always been.Raised in her family's hardware store, Natalie learned early how to engage customers — and how to count change — by talking to everyone who walked through the door. At church, she was the first to volunteer to sing, recite Bible verses in “big church,” and attend every youth activity, especially lock-ins. In school, her teachers often placed her in the front row to help minimize “distractions,” because she was, without a doubt, a social butterfly. Those gifts — her ability to connect, her quick wit, and her desire to support others — naturally led her into leadership roles throughout her career in the mental health field. She married young at 21 and, many years later, again at 39. She often describes her first marriage as a light-hearted “practice run” with someone kind, but not Jason, the partner she shares her life with today. From the outside, Natalie's life looked picture-perfect: a fulfilling job, a loving husband, a close-knit support system, and of course, her beloved dogs. But behind the scenes, she was burning the candle at both ends — working 12-hour days, six days a week, answering every request with, “No problem. Happy to help.”Everything shifted when Jason was diagnosed with cancer in March 2022. In the midst of that crisis, Natalie confronted the truth that she couldn't keep living at that pace. During those darkest moments, she reconnected with her faith and, through that, rediscovered her true self. She learned to acknowledge her imperfections and, more importantly, to love herself fully — flaws and all.Today, Natalie has reordered her life with clear priorities: God, herself, Jason, family and friends, and then work. She says “no” far more often, seeks silver linings in difficult moments, and is grateful for the journey that led her to live God's plan instead of her own. She embraces the mantra of being “perfectly imperfect.”Her mission is simple: to share stories and experiences that inspire, uplift, and — whenever possible — spark a little laughter. She strives to encourage others to be true to themselves while supporting the people they love. And along the way, she fully intends to keep making new friends.Links Mentioned During the EpisodeConfessions of a Reluctant Caregiver Website2024 Heroes Caring for Heroes series2023 Heroes Caring for Heroes seriesPsychArmor Resource of the WeekThis week's PsychArmor Resource of the Week is the PsychArmor course course Understanding the VA for Caregivers. Out here on California's rangelands, we talk a lot about stewardship—the responsibility to care for the land so it can continue to sustain generations to come. But sometimes, the land gives something back to us in return: peace, perspective, and a place to heal. This month, as we pause to honor the men and women who have served our nation on Veterans Day, we're reminded that coming home can often be one of the toughest battles they will ever face. That's where the Mighty Oaks Foundation steps in. Founded by Chad Robichaux, a former Force Recon Marine and veteran advocate, the organization helps warriors find hope and restoration through faith, brotherhood, and connection—all grounded in the healing power of the land.In this episode of Tuned in to the Land, CEO and host Michael Delbar sits down with Chad for a powerful and deeply honest conversation about service, healing, and the restorative role that open spaces and working lands can play.Throughout the episode, Chad shares his personal journey, including the challenges he faced after military service, living with PTSD, and the role that faith played as he worked to rebuild his life. That process eventually led him to form Mighty Oaks, drawing on what he learned and what he wished had existed for others walking a similar road. His story is raw and real, and while parts of the conversation are heavy (a heads up to our listeners), it underscores the profound impact that support, community, faith, and time spent on the land can have in helping people find their way back to hope.Want to learn more?
