Welcome to Belarus! Today's issue is made by our old friend @funkyjaws, who brought a house glory to his hometown Grodno with successful releases on Kolour LTD, Pusic Records, Diggin' Disco Deep, Craft Music and etc. Also Sergey was one of the founders of Beautiful Vision community and parties. His peculiar sound is a mixture of old school funk and rare jazz samples. Funkyjaws is known as an experimenter, whose dj sets are always eclectic, full of special energy and based on exotic disco sounds, mixed with african percussions. For Minor Notes he collected some disco stuff all over his worldwide friends and presented us this 1 hour of pleasure!

Danish talent Paxton Fettel has made a resounding return to the fore this year after a few years off. His piano-heavy disco & house jams on his longtime home Greta Cottage Workshop and Delusions Of Grandeur are some of the most joyous tracks we’ve heard this year, but his catalogue stretches back to 2010 via releases on Kolour LTD, Plumage and Apersonal. His deeply melodic, organic grooves suggest a musically trained creator, but he’s all self-taught. Ahead of an EP for Monologues Records later this year, we invite one of house music’s most irresistible creators to guide us round his oeuvre. Spectacular results with plenty of exclusives. Tracklist: Paxton Fettel - Back You Want Don't I? [Forthcoming on Monologues Records] Paxton Fettel - Let Go [Greta Cottage Workshop] (From album: "Nothing Stays the Same") Paxton Fettel - Lift Off  [Greta Cottage Workshop] (From album: "Everything Stays the Same") Paxton Fettel - Pacifica 399 To Freedom [Delusions of Grandeur] (From E.P: "Night Waves) Paxton Fettel - Faster on Fire [Greta Cottage Workshop] (From E.P: "Better Days") Paxton Fettel - Music Music Music [Forthcoming on Monologues Records] Paxton Fettel - Burning   [Greta Cottage Workshop] (From E.P: "Better Days")   Paxton Fettel - Unreleased disco project demo Paxton Fettel - Unreleased housy demo from a few years back Paxton Fettel - Unreleased disco jam #1 Paxton Fettel - Unreleased disco jam#2     How would you describe your sound?   With this mix. What and who inspires you and influences your sound?   People around me, and new music I discover. I think a lot of times inspiration and influences happen subconsciously. I suppose I am inspired by every minute of my life, it all has influence. Even writing this might have an impact on my future, who knows.   Can you tell us a little about this mix and what it means to you?   I tried to capture the essence of my music in one hour. New stuff, old stuff, and stuff I primarily use in my DJ sets. Sometimes it's a vocal sample over an original production of mine, and sometimes it's more of a classic edit in a way. Like the first track, for example, which has Ramona Brooks chopped and resliced. Classic Paxton edit material, some might say. Then a few classics from the back catalogue. Then the latter part of the mix is mostly self-recorded disco instrumentals with or without vocal samples on it. It's always really fun to put your songs together in new and interesting ways. It makes me (and hopefully you) experience them in new ways. Again something I learn from and take with me to future productions. This mixtape is also an opportunity for me to show people some of the diversity in what I do, and give a focused lesson in my universe of sound, and thought on music. For that I am very grateful.

After a re-location to Australia, Norm De Plume is getting the ball well and truly rolling with his Castlecrag EP last month from which we prem'd the lovely Folamour remix. So we thought its only right to get a mix off him! @norm-de-plume has been making a name for himself the last eight years with remixes for Tornado Wallace and Ben La Desh and EP’s for Kolour LTD and his own vinyl only imprint Plumage winning him a solid following along the way. Hosted & Edited by Chen YinnRecorded live at Waiting Room 16.07.08Mixed by PonchartrainPonchartrainThe underground music community is known for pushing limits, setting trends, and influencing people and art far beyond its initial reach. Detroit native and resident Pontchartrain has been fortunate enough to realize this and use it in developing his project from a unique vantage point, resulting in one of the most wide-ranging, yet refined sounds in the new generation of underground DJs. At a glance it's no mystery that the music and style of the past form the basis for his eclectic sets. But it's how they are pieced together that makes his sound stand out. Pontchartrain takes the greatest things about all forms of independent and underground dance music across the past four decades and combines them together with the meticulous attention to detail of someone who not only loves the craft, but loves learning, researching, and doing it right. His sets are a collection of sounds that pushed boundaries throughout the years, and presented in a way that makes new audiences discover them for the first time, and old audiences rediscover them in brand new ways. For about 10 years, Pontchartrain simply prided himself in his ability to learn and perfect, but in the last two years alone, his sets and productions have been catapulted by the recent rise in the resurgence of vinyl and a refocused attention directed at classic dance music. In addition to serving as A&R for the powerhouse edits label, Whiskey Disco, Pontchartrain has releases on Kolour Ltd, Editorial, Masterworks Music, Hot Digits and more.Recently, he and Whiskey Disco boss, Sleazy McQueen's newly formed label Lovedancing, earned him much acclamation with his initial Burnin' EP, which has already been repressed. He is currently taking bookings worldwide and regularly tours North and South America, with plans for an Asian and European tour starting in early 2016.Booking: dustin@pontchartrain.usWeb: www.pontchartrain.usFacebook: facebook.com/pontchartrainmusicSoundcloud: soundcloud.com/pontchartrainBooking: dustin@pontchartrain.usWeb: www.pontchartrain.usFacebook: facebook.com/pontchartrainmusicSoundcloud: soundcloud.com/pontchartrain
