What Bryan Edwards Brings To The Falcons Offense, Saints Are The NFL's Biggest Sleeper Team In 2022, First Year Expectations For Kevin O'Connell & Josh McDaniels

The Las Vegas Raiders traded WR Bryan Edwards and a 2023 7th Round Pick to the Falcons in exchange for a 2023 5th Round Pick. Edwards was a third-round selection by the Raiders in 2020, he didn't play much his rookie season due to injuries and last season in 2021 he caught 34 receptions for 571 yards and 3 Touchdowns. With the hiring of new HC Josh McDaniels, it was hard seeing Bryan Edwards having much of a role in the offense so by being traded to Atlanta Edwards has the chance to make an immediate impact. The Atlanta Falcons add another big body WR to go along with Drake London and Auden Tate. In 2021 New Orleans finished with a 9-8 record barely missing out on the postseason despite having many injuries to several starters including starting QB Jameis Winston who returns this season. Sean Payton recently announced his retirement and Dennis Allen will take over as the Saints new HC retaining almost the entire coaching staff. The Saints despite losing Marcus Williams and Terron Armstead still improved by upgrading the WR position and signing several key players on both sides of the ball. JT Sports discusses why he feels the New Orleans Saints are going under the radar heading into the upcoming 2022 NFL season. The Minnesota Vikings hired Kevin O' Connell to become their next Head Coach. O'Connell spent the previous two seasons as the Los Angeles Rams OC playing a critical role in game planning and designing the offense. He takes over a very talented Vikings team with talent on both sides of the ball and with his innovative play-calling, he could help elevate Kirk Cousins's game to the next level. JT Sports gives his first-year expectations for Kevin O' Connell with the Minnesota Vikings. Josh McDaniels long time OC of the New England Patriots returns to the AFC West as the Head Coach for the Las Vegas Raiders. McDaniels last stint as Head Coach was with the Denver Broncos from 2009-2010 compiling an (11-17) record and he was eventually fired. After over a decade McDaniels gets another opportunity as Head Coach for a Raiders team that is coming off a surprising 10-7 season that saw them make the postseason for the first time since 2015. In arguably the toughest division in the NFL, JT Sports gives his first-year expectations for Josh McDaniels with the Las Vegas Raiders. --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/jtsports/support

Some big news for you guys right off the bat, Twitter board in final negotiations with Elon Musk over buyout bid. https://thepostmillennial.com/breaking-twitter-board-in-final-negotiations-with-elon-musk-over-buyout-bid?utm_campaign=64487 Twitter's 11-member board of directors met on Sunday to discuss selling the social media platform to big tech entrepreneur Elon Musk and could finalize a deal as soon as this week, or even Monday, CNBC reports. Shares in Twitter rose 5 percent on Monday in reaction to the news. This after Musk revealed made his public, $43 billion bid for the influential platform, then secured the financing. The board, and current CEO Parag Agrawal, appeared opposed to the deal at first, but the offer per share is well in excess of the current price. Musk offered $54.20 per share, saying that this was his "best and final" offer. Twitter shares were valued at over $60 through much of 2021. According to the Wall Street Journal, Twitter was planning to reject Musk's April 14 offer, and looked at a plan to issue a "poison pill" to block him from increasing his stake. Twitter changed its attitude and began negotiations after Musk announced that he had obtained the financing to back hid bid, The Journal reported earlier Sunday. According to Reuters, Musk "wooed many of the social media company's shareholders with financing details on his $43 billion acquisition offer," but noted that, per sources familiar with the process, "The company’s decision to engage with Musk… does not mean that it will accept his $54.20 per share bid," but that "It signifies, however, that Twitter is now exploring whether a sale of the company to Musk is possible on attractive terms." Twitter is scheduled to report first-quarter earnings Thursday and is expected to address the bid by then, if not sooner. Musk reportedly met privately with several shareholders on Friday to discuss his proposal and has also pledged to solve the free-speech issues on the platform, his main reason for undertaking the takeover. Twitter is reportedly facing increased pressure from a number of its shareholders to negotiate with Musk. ___________________________ The left can’t meme. It’s true. Because they live off borrowed capital. They only corrupt what has already been built. But Christians are meant to be makers. Because we know the Bible, we know history, and we know God in Christ, the Creator and Maker of all things. _____________________________ Back in 2017, Netflix tweeted, that “love, is sharing a password.” But now, Netflix would love it, if you stopped doing that. https://twitter.com/netflix/status/840276073040371712?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw%7Ctwcamp%5Etweetembed%7Ctwterm%5E840276073040371712%7Ctwgr%5E%7Ctwcon%5Es1_&ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.cnbc.com%2F2022%2F04%2F23%2Fhow-netflixs-password-sharing-crackdown-is-likely-to-work.html - Show Tweet Netflix surprised the world this week, saying it plans to finally address the rampant practice of password sharing. More than 100 million households are using a shared password, Netflix said Tuesday, including 30 million in the U.S. and Canada. But the video streamer doesn’t plan to simply freeze those shared accounts. Instead, the company will likely favor the setting of an extra fee for those accounts being used by multiple people outside of the home. Netflix’s plan to capture that lost revenue would start with an alert being sent to account holders whose passwords are being used by other households. This announcement comes after Netflix’s first quarter report came out, showing that Netflix had lost subscribers for the first time in over a decade. The company reported a loss of 200,000 subscribers globally compared to Q4, and it’s forecasting even bigger losses to come. Netflix estimates it could lose up to 2 million subscribers in the second quarter. I mean, maybe it also has to do with the simple fact, that Netflix now costs between $15, and $20 per month… There are free streaming services available like Tubi… It’s time for Christians to invest in Christian media… Which begs the question, are you a club member? Because if not, you can sign up for the low, low price of $5 per month! That’s a lot better than Netflix’s $15-$20, especially when you consider some of the harmful content on there. Joseph Kennedy, a coach for the Bremerton, Wash., High School Varsity and JV football teams began praying with his players before and after games in 2008. At the end of a game, he would take a knee and say a prayer with his players at midfield. By the 2015 season, Kennedy was often joined at the 50-yard line as well by players from the opposing team. Indeed, it was an approving comment by an opposing coach that finally alerted school district officials to the practice.Oh that HORRIBLE PRACTICE, Those Christians are at it again! Stop them! We want them worshipping Baal instead! The prayers prompted the athletic director, and later the superintendent, to order the coaching staff to stop praying with students. Kennedy stopped his locker room prayers completely, and for a least one game left the home field, returning later when the crowds had gone, to pray by himself on the 50-yard line. But the Marine veteran didn't like doing it that way. So Kennedy returned to his praying practice right after the game, mainly at away games, and with little fanfare. By the time of the big homecoming game, Kennedy had retained lawyers from the First Liberty Institute. In a letter to school officials, they said that the coach had a constitutional right to pray on the 50-yard line at the end of the game, and that students should be free to voluntarily join in. But as events unfolded, "it was a zoo," said John Polm, Bremerton High's principal, describing the homecoming game during his deposition. Attendance doubled, five TV stations showed up, and a group of Satanists unsuccessfully attempted to take the field to perform their own competing ritual. That right there, ladies and gentleman, is the power of prayer. If you ever feel like prayer to our creator doesn’t pack a punch, you need to think of this story. The school argued, the problem was this was never personal or private or solitary or any of those other adjectives that Mr. Kennedy's lawyers describe. He chose to put himself in the center of the field at the end of the game to make a spectacle. That’s why I never had a problem with Tim Tebow, Tebow-ing on the field. I heard the same exact arguments from critics. “He’s bringing all the attention to himself!” Imagine for a second, that coach Kennedy, was praying to Allah… or that Tebow was bowing down towards Mecca to celebrate his Touchdowns… Then imagine, that opposing players would sack Tebow, and then mockingly bow towards Mecca, like they mocked Tebow when he honored God after his Touchdowns… all hell would have broken loose. The school district would 100% let coach Kennedy continue to pray to Allah, or heck, if he wanted to dress as a drag queen… and dance for his team like a pervert, that’d be okay. Now, NPR noted in the article, that coach Kennedy’s case, could eventually lead to the over-turning of a 60-year-old decision banning official prayer in public schools. Now some might think that’s a good thing, but for me, I frankly don’t give a damn. I’m of course appreciative of the courage coach Kennedy is showing, but we need our kids out of public schools. Period. By the way, if you need help doing that, visit our sponsor, Classical Conversations… So, you remember how I mentioned the word drag queen? Well, Matt Walsh of the Daily Wire, posted a 4-year old video, showing a Good Morning America clip, of an 11-year old boy, dressed up as a woman, dancing to the delight of all the adults in the audience. https://notthebee.com/article/matt-walsh-reminds-us-that-the-groomers-at-disney-and-abc-have-been-sexualizing-children-literally-for-years/ Heck, even Michael Strahan, an athlete I once looked up to was clapping and smiling throughout the whole segment… I won’t play the whole thing, but if I had to see this, you do too. https://youtu.be/JxdvOLdG_34 -Play 1:11-3:34 Now, if that wasn’t bad enough, they brought out three men parading around as women out to talk to Desmond, and they gave him gifts, including makeup, girls’ toys, and then dance classes, so he can dance for all the perverts that his parents are setting him up for. I won’t play that clip for you, because otherwise that’d be 8-minutes of hell for you all. But here’s a picture of them in all their hideous get-up. By the way, to those parents… shame on you. I’m glad we serve a God, who will hand out perfect, and righteous judgement on you both. Because that is cruel, what they are setting that child up for. Walsh’s point in bringing this up, is that Disney didn’t just NOW become woke… they’ve been trending this direction for years and years, all while the Church slept… Thank God for bringing judgement on our nation. If you haven’t seen our Sunday Special, we had Pastor James White of Apologia Church, and Jared Longshore join us… and they talk about how we as a nation, got where we are today. Jared even mentions, how he’s hopeful we see more judgement, because we as a nation, have SUCH a short memory. Heck, I didn’t even remember this clip until Matt Walsh shared it this morning. Now that the mask mandates have been lifted, we can not stop there. We have to keep fighting our wicked culture, so go forth, and Fight Laugh & Feast. The Steelers' have just 6 days until the 2022 NFL draft, so what can Steelers fans expect from their draft efforts in an as important a year as ever, with no Big Ben and a new GM to come? What bold moves could the Steelers front office be cooking up, or should they cook up? How can this team, who most fans would agree have strengthened their 2022 prospects in the offseason so far, continue to get better? What are the potential 'pitfalls' or 'diamonds in the rough' the Steelers must consider? These are just some of the many questions that Matty Peverell and Mark Davison will address, as they bring a global perspective to how the Steelers can achieve success in 2022 and beyond, as they chase a seventh Lombardi.  Learn more about your ad choices. Chris Carter, NFL and NCAAF analyst, hosts the Locked on Steelers podcast and is joined by Josh Taylor of KDKA-TV. Mike Tomlin spoke candidly about his support of Brian Flores in his lawsuit and explained how and why the Steelers hired Flores in light of his legal issues with the NFL. He also called out the NFL for the racial disparities in coaching hires in a strong fashion. The NFL instituted a new hiring rule that forces team to employ at least one minority or woman offensive assistant coach on every NFL roster, but Tomlin says he wants to see real action and doesn't see just talking about it as a resolution to the NFL's struggles to hire Black and minority coaches. But his support of Flores and their mutual respect that went along with hiring the former Miami Dolphins head coach further addresses the respect Tomlin commands among fellow head coaches and the NFL. It's also a further testament to the level of support Steelers Owner Art Rooney II gives Tomlin and is willing to have the Steelers be on the front lines for coaching. Also, the NFL adopted new overtime rules for the playoffs that will allow both teams to get the ball. That's the right change for the NFL, and it should allow for more exciting moments in the NFL Playoffs. Follow Chris Carter on Twitter: @CarterCritiques. Chris Carter, NFL and NCAAF analyst, hosts the Locked on Steelers podcast and is joined by Tony Serino of the AFC North Talk show. Ahkello Witherspoon spoke with Pittsburgh media Monday and looks to be the Steelers' biggest free agency add to the cornerback room. But is that the last addition at cornerback this offseason? Currently the top cornerbacks would be Witherspoon, Cam Sutton, Levi Wallace, Arthur Maulet, James Pierre and Justin Layne. None of those players are guaranteed CB1 options for a defense that wants to be an elite group in 2022, so does that mean another addition has to be coming? The addition of a player like Stephon Gilmore is highly unlikely and Ahmad "Sauce" Gardner most likely gets picked very high in the NFL Draft. But both LSU's Derek Stingley Jr. and Clemson's Andrew Booth Jr. could be players who slip to the Steelers' 20th overall pick. If that happens, do Mike Tomlin and Kevin Colbert make the move to add them at cornerback? Doing so would give the Steelers a potential cornerback star for the future and would be the highest graded prospect at cornerback to come to the team in the draft in decades. Meanwhile, the Steelers have signed Genard Avery to help with the edge rusher group. What does the former Philadelphia Eagles and Cleveland Browns linebacker bring to the table? A really athletic skill set to back up T.J. Watt and Alex Highsmith. But is that enough? Taco Charlton should still be on a call list for the Steelers to complete the edge rusher depth group. Finally, after Colbert and Matt Canada visited the North Carolina Pro Day to see Sam Howell, the Steelers have made the rounds to all the NFL Draft's top quarterbacks. But does that lock them into picking a quarterback in the first round? Follow Chris Carter on Twitter: @CarterCritiques. Theme music is 'Soul Kick' by Ceddy P, and 'Too Easy' by Nerdboy. Chris Carter, NFL and NCAAF analyst, hosts the Locked on Steelers podcast and is joined by Noah Strackbein of Sports Illustrated. Mike Tomlin and Kevin Colbert spoke at NFL Owners meetings and revealed more insight on the Steelers free agency plans, including at strong safety. Part of that insight indicates Tyrann Mathieu might not be in the Steelers' free agent plans at all, and the real target might just be to bring back Terrell Edmunds, but there's still also a chance at the hard-hitting Cowboys safety Damontae Kazee. Also, Desmond Ridder continues to rise up the draft boards, but is he worth the Steelers taking him at 20th overall? And how hard should the Steelers go at wide receiver in this draft class? The Pittsburgh Steelers have sent Mike Tomlin to about every quarterback's Pro Day, visiting Pitt for Kenny Pickett, Liberty for Malik Willis, Ole Miss for Matt Corral, and now Cincinnati for Desmond Ridder. But who do they really want? And should the Steelers trade back in the first round of the NFL Draft? Doing so would provide a better shot at second round graded quarterbacks like Ridder and Corral while still allowing the Steelers two good shots at addressing other skill positions like defensive tackle, cornerback, safety and wide receiver. And is Mitch Trubisky good enough to carry the Steelers offense for now? With Najee Harris and a fixed offensive line, yes.. But Kevin Colbert and Tomlin might not be done adding to the offensive line, as players like Zion Johnson could still end up being the pick for the Steelers early. Steelers' Plan Around Myles Jack, Devin Bush at Linebacker has Real Path Back to Elite Defense

Chris Carter, NFL and NCAAF analyst, hosts the Locked on Steelers podcast with Josh Taylor of KDKA-TV as his guest. The Pittsburgh Steelers' signing of Myles Jack makes for an interesting pair of linebackers with him and Devin Bush. But how can they play off each others' strengths and weaknesses, and how can Mike Tomlin and Kevin Colbert mold the defense around them to make the unit elite again? A lot of their traits as linebackers shown on film explain how their skillsets match with each other to give Pittsburgh two real athletes at linebacker. But Bush has to get back to playing at a high level like he was before his injury. The chances of that happening are higher than fans think, and the Steelers getting back Stephon Tuitt would go a long way to helping both Jack and Bush produce at linebacker. But the Steelers' remaining free agency plans and NFL Draft strategy to address safety and the defensive line with prospects like Jordan Davis, Devonte Wyatt, Travis Jones, Lewis Cine and Jaquan Brisker all as potential first round targets. But don't forget the team could still sign veteran safeties like Tyrann Mathieu, Landon Collins, Keanu Neal, Jayron Kearse and Terrell Edmunds. Locked On Steelers – Daily Podcast On The Pittsburgh Steelers
Why Steelers' Love for Malik Willis Doesn't Make him Mike Tomlin/Kevin Colbert's 1st Round Pick

Chris Carter, NFL and NCAAF analyst, hosts the Locked on Steelers podcast and is joined by Wes Uhler of Steeler Nation Radio. The Pittsburgh Steelers showed up in force to Malik Willis' pro day at Liberty. There's no secret they love him as a quarterback prospect, but he's not the lock of a pick people might think at 20th overall in the first round. Mike Tomlin, Kevin Colbert and several of the top Steelers brass watched Willis throw, which is unusual for the Steelers with a small school. The Steelers typically show who they really like among first round picks with how their visits trend before the NFL Draft, like how they did with Najee Harris and Devin Bush. But Willis is a different prospect, as is Kenny Pickett, because quarterbacks go for much higher prices. The Steelers aren't trading up this year for either quarterback, as neither are sure-fire homerun quarterback picks and the team's roster need several rookie additions across the board this year. Instead, expect the Steelers to stay put in the first round and pick whatever star player falls to 20th overall like Jordan Davis, Devin Lloyd, Andrew Booth Jr., Derek Stingley Jr., or Chris Olave. Meanwhile, the Steelers could learn how to not handle drafting a rookie quarterback in the first round by looking at the Cleveland Browns and how Baker Mayfield can't be traded right now. If he's not traded, that's $18 million the Browns have to eat in salary cap while also having Deshaun Watson. Overdrafting a quarterback has consequences, and those pains are what the Steelers have to avoid. Chris Carter, NFL and NCAAF analyst, host of the Locked on Steelers podcast is joined by Tony Serino of AFC North Talk. The Cleveland Browns' trade for Deshaun Watson puts the Pittsburgh Steelers at a quarterback disadvantage with Mitch Trubisky against Watson, Joe Burrow and Lamar Jackson. But how do they overcome it? Mike Tomlin and Kevin Colbert have had a plan to build an elite defense with a strong round game around Najee Harris to take the pressure of Trubisky or Mason Rudolph. But can the Steelers' defense become elite? There's still a need at strong safety with Terrell Edmunds, Tyrann Mathieu, Landon Collins and Keanu Neal all available. But what's the best play? And with the presumed commitment to building an elite defense, are the Steelers locked into a defensive pick in the first round like Jordan Davis, Devonte Wyatt, Andrew Booth Jr., Derek Stingley Jr., Lewis Cine, or Devin Lloyd?
