Livingston is a award-winning CCM Artist and Songwriter Babbie Mason described as “smooth as honey butter” and a passion to spread the Gospel, Krystal is determined to share the love of Christ through song. A psalmist extraordinaire, she caught the attention of the Gospel music industry with songs like “Shoelaces”, “Winner (Hupernikao)” and “Great Things”, a jamming, rhythmic rendition of the Christian classic penned by Tessie Hill. Her talent has placed her in front of greats in the music industry including Josh Groban, Kenny Loggins and Donnie McClurkin. Fans continued to embrace her after unforgettable performances on Babbie's House, Rejoice In The Word with Bishop George Bloomer and Atlanta Live. She's taken to stages all across the country, but for Krystal, she just desires platforms where she can brag on her God. Hailing from the Northeast, Krystal has been singing since the age of six. Born and raised in the Bronx, New York and later a long-time resident of Connecticut, she began singing in youth and young adult choirs. She also sung with praise teams and the actress performed in musicals as well. In 2016, she began serving as Executive Director of Worship & the Fine Arts and the Director of Praise & Worship at New Life Christian Fellowship in Ledyard, CT. For her musical influence and accomplishments, Krystal was given a proclamation from the city of New London, CT, and was honored by the National Council of Negro Women. In 2015, she became a first-time nominee in the Gospel Music category at the Connecticut Music Awards and in 2017, Krystal won the award for Holla Back Gospel Music Award for Best Female Artist. Spreading her acting wings as well, she portrayed jazz great Nina Simone in a one woman-show, “An Evening with Nina Simone”. In 2018, she moved from Groton, CT to Atlanta, GA, where she has moved from being a member of The Dream Center, (pastored by the renowned William Murphy, known for his breakout hit, “Praise Is What I Do”) to serving as Asst. Pastor of New Song Fellowship in Kennesaw, GA. The rising songstress and dedicated worshipper is currently readying her sophomore album, set to release in early 2021. Dovetales is excited to begin the year, with a woman of God who knows how to remain hopful even when matters appear hopeless. We welcome Singer/Songwriter, Actress and Playwright, Krystal A. Livingston, whose been gracing audiences with her God-given gifts since the age of 6.  Born and raised in Bronx, NY to Southern parents; she began singing in youth/young adult choirs, praise teams and performing in musicals all over the nation. In high school (Cardinal Spellman High School), she joined and eventually directed the Gospel Choir.  While attending the University of New Haven (UNH), in Connecticut; she founded and then directed the UNH Gospel Choir until she graduated in 2002 with a Bachelor’s degree in Forensic Science.  She returned to UNH in 2005 to obtain her Master’s degree in National Security & Public Safety.  During that time, she became the university’s first Adjunct Professor to teach Gospel Music Performance.
