Finding our people is something I think we all strive for. For some of us, this is easy and for others, it can be quite difficult. In the landscape and nature photography community, there are well-established cliques of people who photograph together frequently, often comprised of white men. Why this is the case has always been a mystery to me; however, I genuinely always want to put myself in the shoes of others who are not like me to understand what it is like to live like them. This week I had the pleasure of hanging out and chatting with Angela Ledyard. Angela is a landscape photographer living in Texas, originally from Ohio. She recently created a group called the Black Female Landscape & Nature Photographers, which has become a prominent community and beacon for African American nature photographers. It was awesome hearing her story and to hear about why and how she created the group. I think you'll enjoy our chat. On this week's episode, we discuss: Angela's journey into photography. Why Angela has chosen nature photography as her medium. Why and how Angela created the Black Female Landscape & Nature Photographers community. The challenges of being a black female in the landscape photography realm. What Angela's goals are with her photography. How moving from Ohio to California changed how she saw nature as a photographer. Angela's 5-day trip to Peru and what it was like for her to photograph there. And a lot more! 50-year-old Susan Ledyard was by all accounts happy and healthy the night before she was found dead in the Brandywine River near Wilmington, Delaware. She had injuries to her face and body but what those are is not public. In 2023 her former husband was arrested on assault charges due to hitting is new wife in the head with a hard marble object and formerly biting the tip of her finger off.If you would rather watch a video of me talking about the case then visit my YouTube! Or check out Tik Tok for shorter case videos! If you have any information in the case call (302) 654-5151.Susan Ledyard was a well loved high school teacher when she died. The night before she was found in the Brandywine River she was said to be sitting on her back porch, drinking wine, and texting friends. All seemed normal and no one thought anything was off with Susan. At 3:02am though Susan leaves her home in her car and parks about a mile away in front of an office building gate. It is unknown if anyone was in the car with Susan. It is also unknown what happened, or if anyone joined her after she parked because once the headlights turned off it was too dark to see anything. There isn't a ton of information in the case but we do know her cause of death was blunt force trauma and drowning. The police firmly believe it was a homicide, not an accident. We also know that her husband got remarried just 6 months after her death and in January of 2023 he was arrested on assault charges placed by his current wife. He allegedly hit her over the head with a large marble object and in the summer of 2022 he even bit off her finger tip.If you would rather watch a video of me talking about the case then visit my YouTube!Check out Infinite Intrigue for conspiracies, cryptids, and other oddities!Youtube: https://m.youtube.com/channel/UCjTsDHmUsqdDSdjeytR0p0QTik Tok: https://www.tiktok.com/@alexysstruecrimePatreon: https://bit.ly/38XjzSKTwitter: https://twitter.com/GreatUnsolvedInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/greatunsolvedpod/Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/GreatUnsolvedPod/All other links: https://linktr.ee/thegreatunsolved

A lot of times we tend to want the big rewards, but are not willing to put in the hard work to get it. There are no shortcuts when it comes to building your dream. Are you willing to confront obstacles, circumstances, people, and personal challenges that lie between and the goals you have set? Are you willing to make a mistake and be a laughing stock to others around you are too blinded to see your potential? Are you willing to put the time and effort and the discipline to prepare for the big task even if you are seeing immediate results? In this episode, we discuss the criteria it takes for God to grant the desires of your heart, how our childhood gives us clues which points us to our purpose, the importance of having a village when it comes to molding your gifting, why "structure and order" is essential in building the dream, how Pride can be your biggest hurdle when it comes to progress, the difference between the world's way, the church's way, and the Kingdom way when it comes to business, the purest form of faith, and why knowledge needs to be met with planning and preparation. Krystal A. Livingston is a award-winning CCM Artist and Songwriter Babbie Mason described as “smooth as honey butter” and a passion to spread the Gospel, Krystal is determined to share the love of Christ through song. A psalmist extraordinaire, she caught the attention of the Gospel music industry with songs like “Shoelaces”, “Winner (Hupernikao)” and “Great Things”, a jamming, rhythmic rendition of the Christian classic penned by Tessie Hill. Her talent has placed her in front of greats in the music industry including Josh Groban, Kenny Loggins and Donnie McClurkin. Fans continued to embrace her after unforgettable performances on Babbie's House, Rejoice In The Word with Bishop George Bloomer and Atlanta Live. She's taken to stages all across the country, but for Krystal, she just desires platforms where she can brag on her God. Hailing from the Northeast, Krystal has been singing since the age of six. Born and raised in the Bronx, New York and later a long-time resident of Connecticut, she began singing in youth and young adult choirs. She also sung with praise teams and the actress performed in musicals as well. In 2016, she began serving as Executive Director of Worship & the Fine Arts and the Director of Praise & Worship at New Life Christian Fellowship in Ledyard, CT. For her musical influence and accomplishments, Krystal was given a proclamation from the city of New London, CT, and was honored by the National Council of Negro Women. In 2015, she became a first-time nominee in the Gospel Music category at the Connecticut Music Awards and in 2017, Krystal won the award for Holla Back Gospel Music Award for Best Female Artist. Spreading her acting wings as well, she portrayed jazz great Nina Simone in a one woman-show, “An Evening with Nina Simone”. In 2018, she moved from Groton, CT to Atlanta, GA, where she has moved from being a member of The Dream Center, (pastored by the renowned William Murphy, known for his breakout hit, “Praise Is What I Do”) to serving as Asst. Pastor of New Song Fellowship in Kennesaw, GA. The rising songstress and dedicated worshipper is currently readying her sophomore album, set to release in early 2021. Happy President's Day! Here's what we should really be celebrating for this, and every, President's Day. What's in the News with stories on IRS denying passports, guard dogs, civil forfeiture reforms, zero tolerance, and FBI failure. Also, and Ask Me Anything segment where I answer your tough questions. This episode is brought to you by ZenCash, a cryptocurrency that infuses privacy, anonymity, and security done right. Also brought to you by NordVPN, the fastest, easiest to use service to protect your online presence that I've ever seen.   WHAT'S RUSTLING MY JIMMIES This week is president's day, a day we're supposed to celebrate all U.S. presidents past and present. Yeah, right. But, the history of the day is just ridiculous. Originally established in 1885 in recognition of President George Washington, the holiday became popularly known as Presidents' Day after it was moved as part of 1971's Uniform Monday Holiday Act, an attempt to create more three-day weekends for the nation's workers. You heard that right. The day was literally created to give folks a new day off of work, which is fine and dandy if you work for the government. But, fuck all you peasants, like me, who have to go to work on that day.  So, in order to celebrate President's Day, let's take a look at the worst presidents our country has ever had, all 43 of them. Well, unfortunately, we can't do that since this show is only half an hour long, so let's knock that down to the very worst of the worst.   WHAT'S IN THE NEWS In debtor's prison news, beginning this month, the Internal Revenue Service will begin denying passports to some American citizens with unpaid taxes and, in some cases, revoking the passports of Americans with tax delinquencies. The government will in effect place those with unpaid taxes under arrest, effectively denying them their right to travel. In guard dog news, KSDK in Portland, Ore, put three dogs to the test to find out what dogs would to do a burglar if he tried to break into your home and inadvertently found out that cops killing dogs because the cops are cowards holds even less weight than they thought. In legalized theft news, in January, Republican state senators in Alabama introduced legislation to reform civil forfeiture. The bill makes the radical suggestion that property rights cannot be taken away without due process. In zero tolerance, zero logic news, a high school in Ledyard, Connecticut, called the cops on a 17-year-old student who made a non-threatening comment about a gun in class. Police then arrested him, and he now faces charges of breaching the peace. According to Ledyard High School Principal Amanda Fagan, the student said, "I could buy an AR-15" or something very similar. That's it. In school shooting news, the FBI failed to act on a tip about Nikolas Cruz, the confessed shooter in the Parkland, Florida, school massacre, the bureau said in a statement.   ASK ME ANYTHING It's that time again, where I answer your questions! As I mentioned last week, I have a bit of a backlog on these questions because the participation I received was much larger than I anticipated! Thank you all for your awesome questions.
