The Final Word Daily for the England-India Tests of 2021. The start of the day moved fast. Wickets early, inevitable counterattacking from Pant, and an Indian tail that lived down to expectations. As did most of England's top order. This is The Final Word Daily from the England-India Test series of 2021. Adam Collins and Geoff Lemon sum up the action, name our Player of the Day, and rank entries for our own Hall of Fame.Down to London for the Lord's experience. A bit of rain didn't stop 90 overs, and England didn't stop KL Rahu or Rohit Sharmal. After Joe Root chose to bowl, they made him regret the decision. But it wasn't necessarily a bad decision at the time. India finish well on top after Day 1.You can support the show at patreon.com/thefinalwordCheck out previous shows at finalwordcricket.comGet 20% off playing kit at WoodstockCricket.co.uk with the code TFW20. 1- The conception of Christ-2- Being close to Christ-3- Clothed with Christ
Gifts. We all love to receive them. And God loves to give them. But God's gifts also come with a purpose. Moses discovered this as he received the seemingly strange gifts of a staff that transformed into a snake, a leprous hand made clean, and Nile River water turned to blood. How could these gifts possible help Moses to conquer Pharaoh and a foreign army? In this morning's text (Exodus 4), we discover the hidden meanings of these gifts, and take a second look at the gifts that God has given us, too. Some of those gifts are NOT what we would have necessarily chosen for ourselves, but they are precisely the gifts God wants us to use as we share Christ and participate in his leading of people from bonded slavery to Gospel freedom.

Lord's Day Worship 06/27/2021 by Newland Presbyterian Church
Jesus Christ taught that "The Sabbath was made for man, not man for the Sabbath." What is the Sabbath? Is the Sabbath the same as the Lord's Day? What day of the week does the Lord proscribe that we meet together to take the sacrament? How are we to administer and take the sacrament with each other?

In today's episode, we discuss questions 16, 17, 18, and 19 of the Heidelberg Catechism. And for our word of the day, we ponder a great mystery of the faith, which makes salvation possible… 16. Q. Why must he be a true and righteous man?A. He must be a true manbecause the justice of God requiresthat the same human nature which has sinnedshould pay for sin.He must be a righteous manbecause one who himself is a sinnercannot pay for others.17. Q. Why must he at the same time be true God?A. He must be true Godso that by the power of his divine naturehe might bear in his human naturethe burden of God's wrath, and might obtain for usand restore to usrighteousness and life.18. Q. But who is that Mediatorwho at the same time is true Godand a true and righteous man?A. Our Lord Jesus Christ, who has become for us wisdom from God – that is,our righteousness, holinessand redemption (1 Cor 1:30).19. Q. From where do you know this?A. From the holy gospel, which God himself first revealed in Paradise.Later, he had it proclaimedby the patriarchs and prophets, and foreshadowedby the sacrifices and other ceremoniesof the law. Finally, he had it fulfilledthrough his only Son.Resources: Heidelberg Catechism

Moses. The beginning of his story has two parts. As an infant, he escaped death by drowning to find a home in the palace of the king. The king who enslaved his people. In midlife, he reacted against the domination of Pharaoh and found freedom, family, and vocation in Midian. It seemed like "happily ever after." But God wasn't done with Moses. And God isn't done with you. Whether you find yourself leading a double life as Moses did walking the courts of Pharaoh in Hebrew skin. Or whether you find yourself in your own Midian, with a spouse, and family, and a 9 to 5 that puts food on your table. God still has plans for you. Midian wasn't the end of the story for Moses. And it isn't for you either. Because in Christ, you're meant to set people free, to lead people up the mountain, to feast on bread sent from heaven, and cross over Jordan with a multitude. In Christ, you're meant for glory. But it rarely comes without suffering.
