One of the great strengths of VR is that it can transport people into other environments. Tinman Games has created an attic with a strange table in it that has a very large key resting in the middle, as well as a similarly sized lock. Neil Rennison is the Co-Founder and Creative Director at Tin Man Games and one of the developers behind Table of Tales: The Crooked Crown, a VR adventure game featuring an evolving game board, a fully voiced dungeon master companion and an evolving story based on your actions. Neil started Tin Man Games over a decade ago now and has had an extensive career in video games before that. Chris ORegan chats to Neil Rennison of Tinman Games about Appointment with FEAR, a digital version of the Fighting Fantasy book from the 1980s. We discuss his long history in the video game industry, which he spent most of his time designing and making tracks for racing games on the PSP and Nintendo DS as well as his inspiration being drawn from the simple act of creating good art.
