Living in Community launched in 2003 in response to the tragic death and disappearance of a large number of sex workers in Vancouver’s downtown eastside. The organization created a steering committee comprised of residents, police, community organizers, sex workers, businesses, and government. They fostered discussions about people’s concerns and hopes for their neighbourhoods and eventually produced an action plan for creating a safer, healthier community. In 2017 this model was adopted by the City of St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador. The latest episode of Happy City Radio, produced by Happy City St. John's and CHMR-FM, discusses what's been happening with this model in St. John's. Happy City's Jen Crowe and Rob Nolan are joined by City of St. John's Councillor Hope Jamieson and community organizer Mica McCurdy. Program originally aired Dec. 3, 2018.
This is a movie about three men — heterosexual but cohabitating — who raise an abandoned baby while fending off a drug cartel. Three Men and a Baby was also the highest-grossing movie of 1987, and while critics and audiences loved it, Chris and Drew are hard-pressed to think of a single reason why aside from Tom Selleck's mustache. Fortunately, comedy writer and actor Rob Nolan guests hosts and offers the counter-argument of "Hey, maybe it doesn't suck." Ghosts are discussed as well.

In the wake of an LA Weekly article about the year anniversary of the Fashion Police writers strike, for which I was interviewed and that I felt omitted some pertinant facts, I've decided to tell my story myself my way. Joining me is one of my fellow Norma Raes, writer/performer Rob Nolan, who can do full wheel in yoga, which I don't resent at all. Expect life lessons, dreamboard chat and at least one hooker found in the bottom of a dumpster.
