There's a reason more and more people are turning to intermittent fasting as a reset button for the body. In this episode, I sit down with Dr. David Jockers to unpack what might be the most underrated survival mechanism built into our cells: autophagy. It's a cleanup crew that breaks down damaged mitochondria, clears out zombie cells, and even resets your gut microbiome. If your energy crashes midday, if your cravings hit hard at night, or your body feels inflamed and sluggish no matter what you eat, there's a good chance your cells aren't getting the cleanup time they desperately need. And that starts with insulin staying too high, too often. We talk about how to train your body to burn fat effortlessly, how long it takes to start getting results from fasting, and why most people are unknowingly blocking this cellular self-repair system. Dr. Jockers also shares how to make fasting easier and safer, especially if you've struggled with low energy or headaches. He also explains why you should consider binders during a fast, how to recognize when your mitochondria are stressed out, and the brain-boosting effects of ketones once you hit day three of a longer fast. "Just like we talk about a vitamin D deficiency or a zinc deficiency, autophagy is like an essential nutrient. You have to go through it to be healthy." ~ Dr. David Jockers In This Episode: - What is autophagy, and why is it essential? - How to start fasting - Tips for longer fasts and what to include - How ketones reduce inflammation and boost brain health - Are ketone supplements worth it? - Juice and bone broth fasting - Using binders and other protocols to manage detox symptoms during a fast - Fasting's impact on gut microbiome diversity - The link between fasting, clearing of "zombie cells," and longevity Products & Resources Mentioned: Conquering Chronic Inflammation Summit 2.0: Learn more here https://drtalks.com/summit/conquering-inflammation/ Bon Charge Red Light Face Mask: Use code WENDY to get 15% off at https://boncharge.com Fresh-Pressed Olive Oil: Try a full-size $39 bottle for just $1 to cover shipping at https://getfreshwendy.com Heavy Metals Quiz: Start at https://heavymetalsquiz.com About Dr. David Jockers: Dr. David Jockers is a doctor of natural medicine and a world-renowned expert in metabolic health, fasting, and functional nutrition. At Ghislaine Maxwell's sentencing in June 2022, survivors delivered powerful and emotional victim impact statements that left no doubt about the damage she had inflicted. One woman stated plainly, “I never would have met Jeffrey Epstein if not for you,” holding Maxwell personally responsible for the years of abuse that followed. Another described her as a “monster,” recounting how Maxwell's grooming, manipulation, and betrayal left her permanently scarred. The survivors spoke about shattered lives, ruined trust, and emotional damage that will never fully heal. Maxwell wasn't a passive bystander—she was the architect of their exploitation, intimately involved in luring and preparing underage girls for sexual abuse under the guise of mentorship and opportunity.Anyone attempting to refurbish Maxwell's image would do well to stop and truly absorb what she did—and who she did it to. These weren't abstract victims or peripheral crimes. They were calculated acts committed against vulnerable girls, many of whom were already struggling. Maxwell used charm, privilege, and social power as tools of entrapment, playing the role of the "trusted woman" to disarm and deliver victims to a predator. Her refusal to accept responsibility, her lies under oath, and her ongoing lack of remorse only deepen the stain of her crimes. There can be no public rehabilitation due the wreckage she left behind.to contact me:bobbycapucci@protonmail.comsource:M6SQmaxSFBecome a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/the-moscow-murders-and-more--5852883/support.

As it turns out, aging isn't just about wrinkles and gray hair. It's about your immune system silently giving out years in advance. If you're dealing with chronic stress, sleep issues, inflammation, hormone shifts, or just feel like your body is aging faster than it should, there's a test that might explain exactly why—and how to turn it around. I sat down with Nikolina Lauc, CEO of GlycanAge, to unpack the science of glycans—those powerful, complex sugars that serve as early warning signals for disease and inflammation, even a decade before symptoms show up. Nikolina shares how glycans can predict things like hypertension and rheumatoid arthritis years before they happen, how menopause accelerates aging by 10+ years, why stress adds 15 years to your biological clock, and how hormone replacement, moderate exercise, and even switching from HIIT to yoga can roll your biological age backward. This is the kind of info that gives you back control of your health. “We can predict hypertension six years ahead of time with 98% accuracy. We can predict rheumatoid arthritis 10 years ahead of time with 92% accuracy.” ~ Nikolina Lauc In This Episode: - Backstory: What are glycans, and why should you measure them? - Research and predictive power of GlycanAge - What to expect from a GlycanAge test - Top factors that improve your biological age - The effects of stress on your biological clock - Exercise and its effects on aging - Key aging differences between men and women - Things to do if your biological age is high - How to get the GlycanAge test Products & Resources Mentioned: GlycanAge Biological Age Test: You can get it from https://glycanage.com Puori PW1 Protein: Get 20% off with code WENDY at https://puori.com/wendy Fresh-Pressed Olive Oil: Try a full-size $39 bottle for just $1 to cover shipping at https://getfreshwendy.com Heavy Metals Quiz: Start at https://heavymetalsquiz.com About Nikolina Lauc Nikolina Lauc is the co-founder and CEO of GlycanAge and has helped pioneer a revolutionary way to measure biological aging through glycans—complex carbohydrates that change with immune system wear and tear. Her father, a renowned glyco-biologist and the second most published scientist in the field, developed one of the first biomarkers of molecular aging. GlycanAge has since analyzed over 200,000 samples—more than 85% of all human glycan data globally. Nikolina is on a mission to make early detection and personalized prevention mainstream. California Gov. Gavin Newsom seems to be more interested in podcasting, siding with protesters, and pointing fingers at the Trump administration than actually fixing the problems in his state. Newsom's record long record of failure is evident in the was California is spiraling out of control: a crumbling infrastructure, surging poverty, and broken immigration enforcement. Victor Davis Hanson has a message for Gavin Newsom on why his priorities are not only out of touch—but dangerous—on today's episode of “Victor Davis Hanson: In His Own Words.” “He's now inserted himself into the ICE deportations crisis in California and siding with the protesters that are trying to obstruct ICE. And he has a very incoherent position. … I guess the supposition is that Gavin thought it was quite moral for 12 million people to break the law, but it's quite amoral for somebody to try to rectify the situation and enforce the law. “ You look at a state that is in complete free fall, it is a catastrophe, and rather than addressing transportation, energy, poverty, housing, gasoline, what are you doing? You're campaigning for president. And you're in Twitter wars with the president of the United States. And you're defending the catastrophic governance in Los Angeles. And you're trying to impede the enforcement of a law that if it was enforced, you would be the biggest beneficiary.”
