We learn of a major change in the podcast cast, with a Scottish Legend (?!? who???) soon joining the team.
The lads respond to the RFU's latest announcement around Eddie Jones' successor and have their say on who they think will be the next coach at the helm for England. We're joined by Scotland second row Emma Wassell to hear the inspiring story of how she got into rugby, the disparity between England and seemingly everyone else in the women's game and the part that funding plays in that. With the Guinness Six Nations all wrapped up, we turn our attention back to The Premiership as Leicester secure their place in the Semi-Finals and friend of the show Chris Ashton equals the premiership try-scoring record. Today is Episode 19 of the 1Scot 1Not Podcast where Lucy tells Karen all about the insanely disturbing and infamous of all Scot's legends: The Legend of SAWNEY BEAN!!! The most murderous, incestuous, cave-dwelling cannibal (and family!) of the 16th century! Upon some reflection, we think this may actually be the most gruesome tale the WORLD has ever seen! After you have a listen, join in the poll: Which death would you choose? Having your hands, feet, and bits chopped off? Or would you rather be burned at the stake?!! Inquiring minds want to know! This week is a weird one. What started out as Aly researching the Scottish legend of Sawney Bean turned into a deep fried dive on cannibalism throughout the world. In some cultures, cannibalism in war is normal. In others, it's seen as part of the funerary process or as a way to rid oneself of disease. In western culture, eating the placenta is considered normal though technically it is also cannibalism. The episode ends with the question that philosophers, anthropologists, and scientists alike have grappled with for centuries: is cannibalism immoral? Alternatively, are water kelpies sick as fuck?

Alexander "Sawney" Bean was born in the later part of the fourteenth century in East Lothian, Scotland. Bean was raised in an agricultural community and came from a rather poor family of laborers. The home life of Bean was said to be, at best, a horrible upbringing. Often being beat by his father for never quite being a good enough son. As Alexander got older he attempted to become the son his father had always wanted, by taking on the duties of adulthood and joining the workforce. Due to his reckless attitude, a natural born urge to disobey the rules, and a deep hatred for actual work, Alexander completely failed in his attempts at earning an honest living, once again disappointing his father.
