Rev. Patrick Hunnicutt preaches at the 11:00 AM service on Christmas Eve. The Scripture passage is Luke 2:1-14.
What do you want to see under the tree this Christmas? On the night that changed the world, Jesus offered us just one thing. No sermons, no healings, no feeding of the five thousand, no walking on water, no forgiveness, no justice – none of that! That comes later. But on the night Jesus was born we were presented with just one thing. That one thing was the foundation of life for Jesus, and it’s the foundation of life for you and me.

What does the Heavenly Host mean by ‘peace’? It is part of their Adoration and Praise. They certainly do not speak of an outward peace negotiated by men. They declare peace when men have been reconciled to God and enjoy an inward peace in their minds toward God. We obtain peace with God when he begins to be gracious toward us. We obtain peace with God when HE takes the guilt of our sinful state away. We obtain peace when we rely on God’s Fatherly love, and we call upon him with full confidence and faith, and we boldly praise him for the salvation which he promised to us. What is YOUR Adoration and PRAISE today? What is YOUR ADORATION AND PRAISE in this Christmas Season? Are you fully confident and do you truly believe that the salvation offered to ALL humanity is also offered to you? To be a ‘man of good will’ is to be ‘whom he is pleased’. God is pleased with the heart of repentance and of bold declaration that JESUS CHRIST is LORD of ALL and Savior of sinful men. This passage is not about whether or not we ‘accept’ God’s peace. It is instead about the source of God’s peace. God’s Grace is the source of all peace. The message of Adoration and Praise from the Heavenly Host teaches us that ‘good will’ or ‘God’s pleasure’ is the source of peace. This peace is a free gift and flows from the pure mercy of God, the MOST HIGH. And we rightly proclaim to God our Father, to Christ our Savior, that we ADORE YOU LORD!!! Let us learn from this Heavenly Host how to properly ADORE HIM. “Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace among men of good will’ … with whom HE is pleased”

The Gift of God Luke 2: 1-14 Rev Keith Morrison
You look at the world today and you say, "There is no peace in this world!" Well, there wasn't any in Jesus' time either. What were the angels talking about in Luke when they talked about peace among men? They were talking about the Prince of Peace, Jesus Christ! He came into this dark, cruel world to bring us peace, but only those that know Him can have true peace.

On this Christmas Eve, Pastor Steve wrapped up a three part series in Luke chapters 1 and 2, focusing on a few key details of the Christmas story. On this night, Pastor Steve talked about peace, and more importantly, why is our world missing a sense of peace when the angels clearly talked about "peace on earth" as part of the promise of Jesus's coming. Listen in as we explore why there is a missing "peace" and how Jesus can provide it personally for those who seek after Him.
The Christmas message is more than a season or a story or another book of the Bible. It is about God coming to earth, crossing the divide. Experience greater joy this Christmas as we take a deeper look into the dramatic measures God takes to reach us.

Surely the RAREST emotion in our world today is JOY... HATE abounds, FEAR is rampant, DEPRESSION is pandemic, and ANGER permeates the atmosphere like a toxic fog... But JOY just happens to be the first note sounded by the angels announcing Jesus's birth! Need a little joy? The Bible reveals the source of it and how to get it. Join Pastor Jeff as he starts Christmas the way the first Christmas began--with JOY!

The bad news: Everything the Bible says about sin is true of you. The good news: Everything the Bible says about God's love is true for you.

Pastor Warren gives a Christmas message focusing on the "joy and peace" that is talked about in this holiday season, but looking deeper beyond the "Christmas card sentiments" to what brings true joy and peace from God. Starting from the traditional Christmas story in Luke 2 we travel all the way back to the Proverbs to look at the life that follows and submits to God's ways as the true path to peace and joy.

What Will You Find This Christmas A message from Luke 2:1-14 By Pastor Dean Palmer Cavanaugh Church Fort Smith, Arkansas
In the Christmas classic movie “the little drummer boy” there comes a part in the movie where Aaron's little lamb gets injured in an accident and desperate to heal his friend. the little drummer boy ask the king to heal is little lamb, the king replies that he is only a mortal king, but he introduces Aaron to a King Among Kings, that has the ability to help the little lamb, Aaron looks at the child in the manger and exclaims in astonishment "the babe? I don't understand".... That statement makes me think about all the things about the Christmas story that I don't understand. and maybe there are a lot of things about the Christmas story you don't understand either. In this special Christmas eve message we talk about the things we just don't understand.
