TA continues our Year of the Word series by walking us through Ezekiel 37 and the vision of the valley of dry bones. These bones coming to life show that God brings the spiritually dead back to life through his Spirit. This prophecy points to Israel's restoration, the outpouring of the Spirit at Pentecost, and the new life believers receive in Christ today.

Fr. Mike explains the significance behind the mention of bones in Jeremiah and Ezekiel. In Jeremiah, we learn that the bones of God's people are scattered because of their worship of false gods. In Ezekiel, we see the prophet prophesy over the valley of dry bones and the Lord's Spirit restoring and moving within them. Today's readings are Jeremiah 8, Ezekiel 37-38, and Proverbs 14:33-35. The church is the body of Christ and he has pledged himself to her forever. The church is distinguished by her gospel message, her sacred ordinances, her discipline, her great mission, and, above all, by her love for God, and by her members' love for one another and for the world. Crucially, this gospel we cherish has both personal and corporate dimensions, neither of which may properly be overlooked. Christ Jesus is our peace: he has not only brought about peace with God, but also peace between alienated peoples. The church serves as a sign of God's future new world when its members live for the service of one another and their neighbors, rather than for self-focus.
In this study, Pastor Randy Mosher, Senior Pastor of Calvary Chapel of the Cumberland Valley, will leads us through one of the most timely and remarkable prophetic passages in all of Scripture—Ezekiel 37. In this powerful message, we'll explore Ezekiel's vision of the valley of dry bones—a prophecy that has seen partial fulfillment in the miraculous rebirth of the modern nation of Israel, and one that points ahead to an even greater spiritual revival still to come. This verse-by-verse teaching will deepen your confidence in God's Word and sharpen your understanding of His prophetic timeline. You'll walk away with a renewed sense of hope, clarity, and urgency in the days we're living in. Whether you're a longtime student of prophecy or just beginning to explore it, this message will help you see that God is not done with Israel—and He's certainly not done with us. So, join us and be encouraged as we continue to lift our eyes and look for His soon return. Graphics and Study Aids: Presentation Slides PowerPoint Presentation Slides PDF Study Outline PDF

Jun 8, 2025 - Pastor John Keen expounds on Ezekiel 37:1-14
As we live life it's easy for us to take it for granted. We wake up in the morning and we live life. But who gave us life? Who makes us really alive? God is the giver of life that is eternal. This life leads to death but the life God gives is eternal. That's real life. You turn bones into armies and into gardens.Recorded live at Word of Life Church in Le Sueur, Minnesota, on Sunday, June 1, 2024, Pastor Jason Lang preaching.Powered by Restream https://restream.io/(Bensound Royality Free background music)

Spiritual CPR Understanding Our Proximity to God Ezekiel 37:1-14 7 The hand of the LORD was upon me, and he brought me out in the Spirit of the LORD and set me down in the middle of the valley; it was full of bones. 2 And he led me around among them, and behold, there were very many on the surface of the valley, and behold, they were very dry. 3 And he said to me, “Son of man, can these bones live?” And I answered, “O Lord GOD, you know.” 4 Then he said to me, “Prophesy over these bones, and say to them, O dry bones, hear the word of the LORD. 5 Thus says the Lord GOD to these bones: Behold, I will cause breath to enter you, and you shall live. 6 And I will lay sinews upon you, and will cause flesh to come upon you, and cover you with skin, and put breath in you, and you shall live, and you shall know that I am the LORD.” 7 So I prophesied as I was commanded. And as I prophesied, there was a sound, and behold, a rattling, and the bones came together, bone to its bone. 8 And I looked, and behold, there were sinews on them, and flesh had come upon them, and skin had covered them. But there was no breath in them. 9 Then he said to me, “Prophesy to the breath; prophesy, son of man, and say to the breath, Thus says the Lord GOD: Come from the four winds, O breath, and breathe on these slain, that they may live.” 10 So I prophesied as he commanded me, and the breath came into them, and they lived and stood on their feet, an exceedingly great army. 11 Then he said to me, “Son of man, these bones are the whole house of Israel. Behold, they say, ‘Our bones are dried up, and our hope is lost; we are indeed cut off.' 12 Therefore prophesy, and say to them, Thus says the Lord GOD: Behold, I will open your graves and raise you from your graves, O my people. And I will bring you into the land of Israel. 13 And you shall know that I am the LORD, when I open your graves, and raise you from your graves, O my people. 14 And I will put my Spirit within you, and you shall live, and I will place you in your own land. Then you shall know that I am the LORD; I have spoken, and I will do it, declares the LORD.” I. Proximity: What Is It? II. Proximity: Why Do We Need It? III. Proximity: What Can I Do About It? IV. 37:12 Therefore prophesy and say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, O my people, I will open your graves, and cause you to come up out of your graves, and bring you into the land of Israel. 37:13 And ye shall know that I am the LORD, when I have opened your graves, O my people, and brought you up out of your graves, 37:14 And shall put my spirit in you, and ye shall live, and I shall place you in your own land: then shall ye know that I the LORD have spoken it, and performed it, saith the LORD.

We've arrived at one of our favorite scenes in Ezekiel—the valley of dry bones. In this episode, we'll see how God's sovereignty in regeneration is not only a matter of orthodoxy, but a deeply hopeful and practical aid for ministry today. Speak Life in the Valley, Ezekiel 37 by Keller, Texas
This week, we are studying Ezekiel 37, which contains one of the most iconic prophetic visions in the entire Bible: The Valley of Dry Bones. Apart from God's winged throne chariot in Chapter 1, this is the most memorable symbol in Ezekiel. The vision's enduring popularity stems from its vivid imagery and potent message of hope. As an apocalyptic vision, it easily lends itself to endless interpretation.Support the show
A few years ago, I stood at the bedside of a friend and his family as the family discussed one of the most difficult life decisions any family can face. The man was on ‘life support’ and the family was considering turning off the machines. After prayer, they in fact did and as I watched, the man kept breathing and soon revived and has now been alive nearly five years since that day, living a vibrant second chance at life! Have you ever experienced or watched someone else experience a second chance at life?(Click here to see full text, images and links) Today’s Scripture: Ezekiel 37:1-14.
