Series: "Good News and Great Joy"Winter 2025Season 10Episode 4
Great message from the KJV Bible!
In this season, pause from the celebrations, find a quiet moment, and let God's Word speak to you. May His peace fill your home, His presence steady your heart, and His love draw you closer to Him.#TheChristmasGiftOfGod #CITAMChurchOnline #ChurchEveryday
What if the most life-changing gift you'll ever receive isn't something wrapped—but Someone given? In this Christmas episode of Redeemed Through His Blood, Deb opens our season with a tender reflection sparked while listening to a simple Christmas song—an impression that redirected her heart toward the very first gift God ever offered His children: His Son.Together, we explore why the Father's gift wasn't merely an event in Bethlehem, but a relationship offered to each of us right now. We talk about what it means to receive Him—not as an abstract belief, but as the living, present Redeemer who still enters real lives, real wounds, and real stories today. If your December feels busy, heavy, or hollow… this conversation will help you come back to the Gift Himself.

Series: "Good News and Great Joy"Winter 2025Season 10Episode 3
In this stirring and deeply encouraging Advent message, Pastor Karl continues the series The King Has Come with a raw and life-giving exploration of the second great gift Jesus brings: peace.Turning to the familiar yet profound scene in Luke 2:8–20, Pastor Karl invites us into the midnight terror of ordinary shepherds—suddenly confronted by the blinding glory of God—and shows how the very first words from heaven that night were not “Merry Christmas,” but “Fear not.” That first Christmas did not begin with sentimental calm; it began with paralyzing, mega-fear. And right there, in the middle of stacked-on-stacked fear, the angel announced good news of great joy: a Savior has been born who is Christ the Lord, the Prince of Peace. With pastoral tenderness and unflinching honesty, Pastor Karl unmasks fear as the mortal enemy of peace—how it magnifies threats, shrinks our view of God, and paints our future in colors darker than God ever intended. Yet the gospel is stronger: peace is not the absence of trouble but the presence of a Person. Peace is not something Jesus gives; peace is who Jesus is—and He gives Himself.Through the shepherds' journey from terror to testimony, we're given clear, scriptural paths out of fear and into the unshakable peace of Christ: speaking God's truth over fear's lies, refusing to agree with the spirit of fear, drawing near to Jesus through spiritual disciplines, and taking bold steps of obedience that move us against comfort and toward surrender. This is a word for everyone whose heart has been ruled by anxiety, worst-case scenarios, or the quiet fears that steal joy—especially in this season. A tender yet urgent call to stop trusting the unknown future to our own control and start trusting it to the known God who entered our fear as a baby in a manger.Because the King has come, fear does not get the final word. Peace does. And when the Prince of Peace takes over a life, what spills out is no longer fear—but praise, testimony, and unshakable confidence in the goodness of God.Essential listening for anyone who longs to trade fear for the peace that passes all understanding this Christmas.Watch all our sermons on our youtube channel "Flipside Christian Church"Join us in person 9:00am & 10:30am every Sunday morning.37193 Ave 12 #3h, Madera, CA 93636For more visit us at flipside.churchFor more podcasts visit flipsidepodcasts.transistor.fm
Advent season is fully upon us. It is in this season that we remember the coming of God for our salvation. Jesus is nothing less than Emmanuel – God with us! But how precious is that truth to us? Amidst all of the pageantry and hoopla of the Christmas season, how important is God’s nearness to us? Our text today starts with Joseph as a slave, and then as a prisoner, before becoming second only to Pharaoh in all of Egypt. Yet for all that, the greatest gift he has, and we have, is the very presence of God. 1. Pursue the presence of God 2. Rest on the remembrance of God 3. Trumpet the truth of God

Scripture Reading from Exodus 33: 1-17 (0:00)Sermon by Ben Reed (3:00)
An encouraging and sanctifying Lord's Day message from Evangelist/Missionary Daniel Courney preached at Portland One:16 Bible Church!
Every religion in our world today stresses the importance of the need to do something in order to obtain the approval of a divine being, the forgiveness for wrongdoings, or the attainment of spiritual peace within. The Bible, however, is very clear in its emphasis that there is nothing that we are able to do to please God, that we are spiritually bankrupt. Over and over again, the scriptures point out how that eternal life and forgiveness with God is a GIFT – a gift that comes from God, not from us. That is why the gospel is really all about good news – there is a divine solution to a tremendous problem that we are unable to fix ourselves.
Today we look at Romans 6:14-23 and the gift God offers us!
Rev. Cyril A. Stevens – Sermon 0958A recorded on December 23, 1984 teaching from Luke 2:1-11 – The Precious Gift of God. Pastor Cyril A. Stevens emphasizes the significance of Jesus' names to fully appreciate the “precious gift of God” offered at Christmas. He begins by illustrating that, much like nameless presents cause confusion, knowing Jesus by…

The Bible speaks about wages - wages that each one of us earns. However, these wages are not the kind we look forward to. Death - the consequence of our sin and disobedience towards God. But it also speaks of a wonderful gift offered through Jesus Christ our Lord. Will you be content to take the wages of sin? Or will you look to the Christ of Calvary and receive the gift of eternal life that He alone can give?
Fan Into Flame the Gift of God 2 Timothy 1:1-14 The Sixteenth Sunday after Trinity Sunday, October 5, 2025 The Rt. Rev. Alex Cameron Church of the Redeemer, Nashville, TN www.Redeemer-Nashville.net
One of the simplest explanations of the gospel is found in Romans 6 and verse 23: "The wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." Basically, that is all you need to know of the gospel message to pass from spiritual death to spiritual life. As the old adage goes: "Life is short; death is sure. Sin the cause; Christ the cure." So what is the gift of God? Well, the verse says it is eternal life. But a gift needs to be received. Have you received it yet?
Pastor Gabriel Hughes finishes up chapter 6 of Romans, understanding once again that the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. Visit providencecasagrande.com for more info about our church!

Bible StudyDon't just take our word for it . . . take His! We would encourage you to spend time examining the following Scriptures that shaped this sermon: .Sermon Notes:IntroductionIllustration: Gift wrapping → multiple boxes → unwrapping reveals more gifts.God gives Moses the gift of His name.Like unwrapping a gift, we discover multiple blessings within God's name.Context (Ex. 3:10–13)God calls Moses: “I will send you to Pharaoh.”Moses: “Who am I?” (hesitant, insecure).God's answer: “I will be with you… here is my name.”The Gift of God's Name – Five Blessings1. Presence (vv. 12, 14–15)Name: “I AM WHO I AM” → Yahweh (“HE IS”).God's most foundational truth: He exists, eternal, absolute. His presence goes with us. Pharaoh = nothing compared to Yahweh, the One Who Is.2. Personal (v. 15)God shares His covenant name, Yahweh.Illustration: King Charles → “Call me Chuck.”A privilege of intimacy. God's name = invitation into covenant relationship.3. Promises (vv. 16–17)A “good name” = trustworthy reputation (Prov. 22:1).God's name = tied to His promises.Example: Exodus 6 – “I am Yahweh… I will bring you out… I will redeem you… I am Yahweh.”Yahweh = Promise-making, Promise-keeping God.4. Power (vv. 19–21)Pharaoh will not let Israel go “unless compelled by a mighty hand.”Yahweh demonstrates power through plagues, Passover, Red Sea.Yahweh reigns over nations, nature, life, death.Subtle power too: influencing Egyptian hearts to give Israel gold & silver.5. Plan (John 8:58; Phil. 2:9–11)Yahweh was not the final revelation.Jesus claims: “Before Abraham was, I AM.”In Jesus, Yahweh's name is fulfilled and exalted.“At the name of Jesus every knee will bow…”Applications1. Cherish the Gift – Don't misuse the NameCommandment: “Do not take Yahweh's name in vain.” (Ex. 20:7)God's name is sacred → not to be used flippantly.Use His name with reverence, worship, love, gratitude.2. Call on the Name – Especially in MissionGod gave Moses His name to empower mission.Jesus: “Whatever you ask in my name, I will do it.” (John 14:12–14)We carry the name of Jesus into brokenness, suffering, and mission.Discussion Questions:Someone has observed: "the larger God is in our hearts, the smaller our problems seem." Do you agree or disagree? How might the meaning of God's name "I AM/Yahweh" help us magnify the greatness of God?In the Lord's Prayer, Jesus teaches his disciples to pray "hallowed be your name." What does it mean to pray these words? How does it connect to the gift of God's name? What are different ways we can apply that prayer petition today? Can you think of times when God displayed his power in your life - either overtly or subtly?Give examples of misusing the gift of God's names (God, the LORD, Jesus, etc). Why is the context of mission important for asking for things in Jesus' name (see John 14:12-14)?Questions?Do you have a question about today's sermon? You can't buy happiness—it's a gift you recieve from God
From John 1:29–2:12, we see that Jesus is the one who gives us God's life—and we're invited to follow, experience, and be transformed by this gift. This message calls us to bring our anxieties before Him and ask: How is my anxiety shaping me, and how can Jesus reshape me with His life?
1. Confessing 2. Rejoicing 3. Dedicating
Psalm 19 celebrates both God's creation and His Word. The psalm opens by declaring how the heavens continually proclaim God's glory and handiwork without words, yet are universally understood. It then shifts to highlight the perfection of God's law, describing it as pure, true, and more desirable than gold or honey, capable of reviving the soul and bringing wisdom, joy, and clarity. The psalmist acknowledges human weakness, asking God for forgiveness of hidden faults and protection from willful sin. It ends with a heartfelt prayer that both speech and thought would be pleasing to the Lord, our Rock and Redeemer.

Romans 6:23 — In this sermon on Romans 6:23 titled “The Gift of God,” Dr. Martyn Lloyd-Jones says this verse in Romans concisely explains the gospel of Romans. The verse is a summary of the entire chapter and book, as well as the end of the argument to those who believed that they should continue in sin so that grace could be greater. Ultimately, there are only two possibilities facing each person in the world: the wages of sin is death or the gift of God is eternal life. Each of these two paths lead to an inevitable fate. Dr. Lloyd-Jones says there are a few contrasts to observe. These two paths differ in the master they serve, the conditions in which they serve, and the end to which the path leads. A Christian is in Christ and knows that they will have eternal life and imperishable glory with God forevermore. God's purpose is to bring His people into this spotless holiness. One should never argue anything other than this and know God's plan is the complete opposite of sin and death.

And this is why: so that no one need be destroyed; by believing in him, anyone can have a whole and lasting life.God didn’t go to all the trouble of sending his Son merely to point an accusing finger, telling the world how bad it was. He came to help, to put the world right again.Anyone who trusts in him is acquitted; anyone who refuses to trust him has long since been under the death sentence without knowing it. And why? Because of that person’s failure to believe in the one-of-a-kind Son of God when introduced to him. Through the Bible God put the gift of His Spirit in human conduits to instruct, to guide, and equip them for service. We see this with the people in Nehemiah's day, with the 70 elders of Israel, Bezaleel, and many others throughout the Old and New Testament. God's still placing the same Spirit in us today. It's not something weird or mystical, but a gift which helps us to grow in the knowledge of Him.
