In this sermon, Jacob Jones explains how Jesus knows our hearts, desires, and motives. He engages us personally as the forgiver of our sins. Those who have come to know Him and his forgiveness, love, and peace become extravagant worshipers.

Do you know what Crashing a Party is? It is going to or going in a party without an invitation. It is like your next door neighbor having a cookout with a bunch of people over and the pool full of people and the coolers stocked with ice cold……..well, you know… And you just go and join in. Without an invite. You will probably get a few “looks” from the host but might end up with a burger and iced tea. Jesus was invited to a dinner party with a Pharisee named Simon. A local woman just dropped in, uninvited, and went straight to Jesus. She crashed the party. She was known as a sinner and possibly a prostitute. She began to wash his feet and put oil on him. The dinner host recoiled at the party crasher. What she got in return was forgiven. If you crash a party, crash it for the right reason. Getting to Jesus would be a good reason to crash it. This is a great look at how Jesus works.

We introduced the virtue of FORGIVENESS (which we define as "deciding that someone who has wronged you doesn't have to pay"), and we looked at an encounter with Jesus, a Pharisee named Simon, and a woman who had done many things requiring forgiveness. But she wasn't the ONLY person in the room who needed to be forgiven.

Whether we are self-righteous Pharisees or stuck in a pattern of sin, Jesus truly knows us and offers us a new identity.
