Matthew 3:1-11 (CEB) invites us to the riverbank, where Jesus steps into the same muddy water as everyone else.We talk about baptism as an act of belonging, not exclusion — a public declaration that God's love comes first, before accomplishment, before certainty, before we get anything “right.” This episode wrestles with what that means in a world determined to make us choose sides and exclude one another — and how belovedness can become a form of resistance.

Join us as Pastor Keeyon shares a powerful message from Luke 19:1–10 (CEB), the story of Zacchaeus, a man who climbed a tree just to catch a glimpse of Jesus, only to find himself seen, known, and called by name. This episode invites us to reflect on what it means to be truly noticed by God and challenged to welcome His presence into every part of our lives.
On today's episode, Pastor Keeyon's message highlights Luke 18:1-8, CEB. Jesus was telling them a parable about their need to pray continuously and not to be discouraged. 2 He said, “In a certain city there was a judge who neither feared God nor respected people. 3 In that city there was a widow who kept coming to him, asking, ‘Give me justice in this case against my adversary.' 4 For a while he refused but finally said to himself, I don't fear God or respect people, 5 but I will give this widow justice because she keeps bothering me. Otherwise, there will be no end to her coming here and embarrassing me.” 6 The Lord said, “Listen to what the unjust judge says. 7 Won't God provide justice to his chosen people who cry out to him day and night? Will he be slow to help them? 8 I tell you, he will give them justice quickly. But when the Human One comes, will he find faithfulness on earth?”

At our Premium Worship and Prayers service, our Senior Pastor, Pastor Femi Paul, taught on the powerful subject “DIPSYCHOS”, the Greek word for Double Mindedness. Drawing from James 4:8 and James 1:7-8 (NKJV), he highlighted how a double minded person - undecided, wavering, or torn between loyalties - becomes unstable and unable to receive from the Lord. This message unpacks the dangers of inner conflict: struggling between faith and doubt, or trying to serve both God and self. Double mindedness leads to spiritual inconsistency, instability, and a lack of breakthrough. Through Psalm 119:113 in various translations (AMPC, TLB, CEB), PFP emphasised God's clear dislike for fickleness in devotion and called the church to a place of clarity, focus, and faithfulness in our walk with God. The message was a soul searching invitation to align our hearts with God's word and will. We then entered into a powerful time of worship, offering up worship before God's throne, with a singular purpose to lift Him above everything else.

Mark 6:31-44 (CEB) and Mark 8:1-9 (CEB) This Sunday, we'll take a fresh look at two familiar stories: the feedings of the 5,000 and the 4,000 in Mark's Gospel. While often seen as similar miracles, these two accounts—placed side by side—reveal something deeper about who Jesus is and who the Gospel is for. What if the leftovers weren't just about abundance but about belonging? Come hear how Jesus feeds both Jews and Gentiles, and what that means for how we widen our circles today. There is enough. For all.

We are continuing our way through the clean and unclean segment of Leviticus (chapters 11-15). In this Bible study we look at the purification rites associated with giving birth to a child. Dave talks again about what it means to be “clean” and “unclean.” Dave does spend a good deal of time talking about circumcision, as it is solidified in the law as a requirement of all Jewish boys on the 8th day. What does Paul mean when he speaks of circumcision of the heart?Outline:00:13 - Introduction Clean & unclean segment 11-1501:14 - Unclean is not bad, and clean is not necessarily “good” it is simply a label for a person to know whether they have properly prepared, set themselves apart to go to the tabernacle and participate in a worship service. It is neither bad nor good, but more so “clear” or “not clear” for worship. God made provision for the cleansing and restoration of anyone who became “unclean” or “defiled.” Remember, unclean is not necessarily “bad.” In chapter 15, we will talk about discharges, which have to do with both the male and the female reproductive system, which God designed and called “good.”05:23 - Read all of Leviticus 1206:47 - Blood is important as it relates to the sacrifices as well as to cleanliness. 07:43 - Leviticus 12.2 - A son or a daughterCeremonially unclean for 7 days. (8th day, circumcise the boy - we will discuss) - Then wait 33 days before going to the temple. A total wait of 40 days.07:43 - Why was there a period of time after a woman gives birth when she is called “unclean?”10:30 - Why is there a difference between a son and a daughter as it relates to how long the purification time should be?13:16 - Leviticus 12.3 - Circumcision Gen 17:10-14; 12.2-3; 21.4; Luke 2.21; Jer 4.4; Phil 3.4-9; Rom 2.25-29; Col 2.10-11; Eph 2.8-9Paul is saying that circumcision is an outward sign of being set apart for God. But even if you have that outward sign, yet inside are sinful, the outward sign is pointless. A circumcised body and a sinful heart are at odds with each other.Paul says that we ought to focus on the condition of the heart. You are the Lord's, do you acknowledge that with your heart and your lips? Don't worry about your outward signs, your “good deeds.” Worry first about your heart and your personal, intimate relationship with God.26:33 - Leviticus 12.6-8A burnt offering and a sin offering.CEB & the NABRE - have “purification offering” for Lev 5.Luke 2.22-24Support Iron Sheep Ministries: https://Ironsheep.org/donateListen to the podcast: https://anchor.fm/ironsheepContact Dave & the ISM team: info@ironsheep.orgBe notified of each new teaching, join the email list: http://eepurl.com/g-2zAD
At today's service, Pastor Femi Paul led the congregation in prophetic prayers and delivered a soul-stirring exhortation titled “One That Lacks Insight Ends Up a Mere Sightseer in Life!” Drawing from Proverbs 15:24 and Proverbs 16:20 (CEB), he reminded us that those who gain divine insight live purposeful, upward lives and find prosperity along the way. Without insight, we risk merely observing life, never truly participating in the destiny God has prepared for us. Pastor Femi urged us to pray for insight to become who we were predestined to be - insight to fulfil our calling, overcome inner emptiness, and walk in divine purpose. He closed with a powerful reminder from Proverbs: obedience to godly instruction brings long life, favour, and success. The service ended on a high note as we sang: “I Have Decided to Follow Jesus, No Turning Back!” echoing our decision to move forward in faith and purpose.

Sure, the resistance is coming for you… but so is God's goodness. Anxiety is the enemy of momentum. Though anxiety can try to bully us, its bite has a shelf life as long as God has anything to say about it. “Yes, goodness and faithful love will pursue me all the days of my life, and I will live in the LORD's house as long as I live.” — Psalms 23:6 (CEB)"Surely goodness and mercy and unfailing love shall follow me all the days of my life, And I shall dwell forever [throughout all my days] in the house and in the presence of the LORD." — Psalms 23:6 Connect with Dr. Stephen V. At today's Special Interactive Service, Pastor Femi Paul kicked off a timely and thought-provoking new series titled “Learning, Unlearning & Re-learning!” Drawing wisdom from scripture, life, and global thought leaders, he unpacked the importance of being adaptable in our spiritual and personal growth journey. Referencing Matthew 11:28–29 (CEB) and Proverbs 15:32 (GNT), Pastor reminded us that learning is not just academic - it is the foundation of wealth, health, and spirituality. As John Rohn rightly said, “Learning is the beginning of everything.” But it doesn't end there. True transformation also involves unlearning what no longer serves us, and re-learning to align with God's evolving truths for our season. Quoting Alvin Toffler, Pastor Femi emphasised that the real illiterate today is not the one who cannot read or write, but the one who refuses to learn, unlearn, and re-learn. Many people get stuck because they “know too much,” live in self-delusion, or are closed off to new ideas. These mindsets limit growth and rob us of the opportunity to walk in wisdom. He challenged us to examine our hearts: Are we opinionated? Resistant to change? Afraid to face the real person in the mirror? If so, we may be holding ourselves back from the rest and renewal Christ offers when we humbly learn from Him.

When Elitsa and I spoke, we had many stories about competent women in sales and leadership roles who wait to get the "tap" on the shoulder to be promoted. Our male counterparts TELL their boss that they expect to be promoted many times and they initiate introductions with some of their C-level leaders, heads of other teams in their company and proudly state their accomplishments. Are we too shiy to also do that, or is it in how we were raised - "don't brag," my dad would tell me. Today in 2025 we say, "It isn't bragging if it is true." Listen to Elitsa share about her career. Born in Bulgaria, Elitsa visited the US a number of times, going back and forth, then moved to the DC area in 2011 and started working for CEB (which became Gartner later). She got great sales training (these were the "Challenger" folks) and really fell in love with sales. Due to an opportunity for her husband, she moved to Ukraine back in 2015 (no hint of a future war then). What was amazing was that when they did hear of turmoil happening at the beginning of 2022, they had to immediately leave Ukraine - while she was quickly building a virtual and in person sales team AND was six months pregnant. Any one of those three things is tough, but all together is incredible. Listen to her story, and also how she created her original role at Preply by giving feedback to the CEO.
