The Gospel of Mark is a powerful account of Jesus Christ’s life and ministry. In the first chapter, we’re introduced to John the Baptist, who prepares the way for the Lord’s coming. As Jesus is baptized by John, the heavens open up and God the Father declares, “You are my beloved Son; with you I am well pleased.” From there, Jesus is driven into the wilderness to be tempted by Satan for 40 days. He emerges victorious and begins his ministry in Galilee, proclaiming the good news of the kingdom of God. Jesus calls his first disciples—Simon, Andrew, James, and John—who leave everything to follow him.

Continuing with our NEW series called "The Servant King," (A Study of the Gospel of Mark).... Do you remember when you first felt a change within you? The change that I am referring to is the one where you started to become tired, or bored, with the life that you had been leading and all of a sudden everything that regarded Jesus or God became fascinating to you. Speaking for myself, although I knew that God was always with me, I can say that this is when the scales began to fall from my eyes; this is when I felt God calling me and I was ready to completely open up my heart to Him. I didn't know what lie ahead of me, but I knew that I wanted to start putting God in my heart, first and foremost. If you’ve ever experienced the same type of situation in your life, this is the point where servant hood begins to take prominence in your life. It becomes a special thing to you because you begin to feel like you are connecting with God. You become willing to serve in order to help bring others to God. This is when we become attacked by the enemy because we are taking away his servants to bring them to God. In today's teaching, Pastor Ben explains, and expounds, on why "Service is Sacrifice," and why we are to continue to serve Jesus (God) regardless of these attacks. Although these attacks will always continue, we must remember that with God as our guide, we will ALWAYS be victorious against the enemy. For Freedom - Grace, the gift, and the foolish Galatians
"The key clam of the Gospel of Mark is that Jesus is the Son of God." Son of God is a sermon series of sermons that covers Mark 1:1 to 6:29, exploring the bold and transformative claim that Jesus is the Son of God. In these early chapters of Mark’s Gospel, we see Jesus stepping onto the scene with unmatched authority—casting out demons, healing the sick, calming storms, and calling followers to a radical new life. Each sermon unpacks how his divine identity is revealed through his words and actions, challenging listeners to see Jesus not just as a good man, but as the Son of God who demands a response. Join us each week as we uncover the power, purpose, and person of Jesus Christ.

Mark begins his gospel by making a history-shaping claim: Jesus Christ is the Son of God, and the Son of God has arrived. More than that, Mark uses the word "gospel", which was a term that the Romans would use to announce to their citizens that a new authority has risen to power. But in this moment, Mark uses the term to declare that good news has come to the world: the arrival of the king—the Son of God. In the opening chapters of Mark, we see two significant moments: the baptism and temptation of Jesus. Before Jesus begins His earthly ministry, we see Him submit to His father in His baptism and fully trust in His father in His temptation. Visit us online at: www.RenewalChurch.net
