Which day in Jesus' life marked the beginning of his last days? While it might be hard to pinpoint, when you look at moments that moved things in that direction, they all have one thing in common. Join us this Sunday for the start of Holy Week with a Palm Sunday message about that very thing.

Jesus’s entrance into Jerusalem may not have ushered in the kingdom the people of Israel anticipated; however, the events of this day set in motion God’s promised plan of redemption for people of every nation, in every time.

The triumphal entry is about Jesus announcing himself king.
Redeemer Presbyterian Church in Charleston, SC, seeks to be a church that's Becoming Community in Christ. Our senior pastor Rev. Craig Bailey preaches a Palm Sunday sermon from Matthew 21:1-11, encouraging us to ask God to stir us with a fresh vision of Jesus as King.
Jesus' triumphal entry into Jerusalem was filled with intrigue. There were different powers and political views that all factored into that day. There were also numerous prophecies, some of which the crowd was singing. But Jesus knew things would not turn out as the crowd hoped. Nevertheless, he wept for them and what He could see coming. The message concludes with how this account brought two different men to salvation.

What do a donkey, a palm branch and a rock have in common? Looking at a traditional Palm Sunday Passage on a very un-traditional Palm Sunday. Social distancing may be canceling parades, but the parade of Jesus into Jerusalem teaches us that He uses the simple things to accomplish a great work.
Nobody was “social-distancing” that first Palm Sunday, instead the crowds gathered full of expectation and anticipation. But what were they expecting? Join us this Sunday as we prepare for Easter, and consider that Jesus often doesn’t meet our expectations, but instead does something so much better!
