Imagine for a moment being someone with great financial troubles and difficulties—someone who has trouble making ends meet. For some of you, this may not be too difficult to imagine. It may be your present circumstances. But then imagine waking up one morning to discover that you are an heir to one of the wealthiest individuals in the world—someone who is infinitely and fabulously wealthy. One day you will enter into all the riches and immeasurable wealth of that person. If you multiply that truth by infinity, you will not even be at the edges of understanding what it means to be an heir of God and a co-heir with Christ. What a glorious truth! No matter how wonderful your conditions are today, for the believer in Christ, the best is always yet to come. I pray that you will join us for worship this weekend as we examine these wonderful truths of what it means to be “in Christ” and the application of these truths for our present lives. Remember, weekend worship is a Friday decision. Make plans today to join us for worship! — Pastor Chad McDonald

Find encouragement to wait patiently with all creation in the hope of redemption.
Sunday, April 14, 2024 - We are currently discussing our Identity in Christ and how it affects our lives both temporarily and eternally. Our text is Romans 8:18-25. The title of today's message is "Identity that Shares in Suffering, Shares in Glory." Although nobody likes to talk about suffering, the Bible is clear that those who identify with Christ will go through periods of suffering. Just as every action has consequences, living a life devoted to Christ will naturally result in suffering. The purpose of today's message is to explain why this is so. This message is meant to encourage us, particularly during these trying times. We must rely on the Bible's teachings about suffering rather than our emotions. We invite you to worship and study with us.

"Christians have victory over eternity." Sometimes life makes us feel like losers. It can seem like we will never overcome our struggles, our sorrows, or our sins. Romans 6-8 tells a different story. It tells us that through God's victorious love we can be conquerors, and more. This is a series of sermons explaining what it means to be "more than conquerors through him who loved us." Impacted? Jesus doesn’t throw more laws, more rules, more regulations, more programs, more governmental incentives, more platforms at the problem, He goes to the problem itself, and He uproots it, and He gives sinners new hearts. He gives sinning people the very Spirit of Himself, and He lives through us! That’s what we need. But we wrestle. We sin again. We mess up. Sin gets done to us. The fall, the curse rears its ugly face. And we begin to suffer. We begin to find ourselves under the burden of it all because there remains something to be done in our lives, doesn’t there? Do you feel that angst? That waiting? That expectation? That, "I’m on the verge of complete and total celebration in Christ but something holds me back."

At a time when so many are asking and attempting to answer the question, "Why is this occurring?" this sermon shares some of the possibilities, followed by how we should take advantage of this unusual season and use it to grow closer to the Lord; as well as to disciple our children like never before.

For the child of God, the spirit that resides in us is not ever fully content here in this world. The regenerated new creature groans and travails in pain in this world all the time up till even now. The Spirit revived soul desires to be released from this bondage of sin and looks towards the second coming and glorious appearing of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. We need to live with an excited anticipation of Jesus' second coming and be saved by that hope here in this, especially during the trials of life.

What is hope? Hope is a longing for something good with the expectation that God will act? What do you long for this Advent season, for yourself, your family, the world? Are you placing your hope in the wrong things, your job, your children, your spouse? Christ came to bring hope. Hope says; stop focusing on yourself or your circumstances and focus on God.
Continuing series. Today we will look at our future hope and the final and complete end to all evil and suffering.
One of the perennial questions asked of pastors is whether or not pets or other animals go to Heaven when they die. This is an important question and it is very personal to many people. While the Bible does not have a chapter and verse that speaks directly to this issue, its teaching does have bearing on our answer.

When we trust Christ for salvation, we are given a new life today and the promise of an eternal life with God. That is the personal good news, but according to the Apostle Paul in Romans 8:18-25 the good news also includes a promise for all of creation. Let's consider the enormous breadth of the gospel and the ways we might participate in the coming of God’s kingdom.

I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory that is to be revealed to us.
Ephesians 4:4-6 ESV "There is one body and one Spirit—just as you were called to the one hope that belongs to your call— one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all."

The Spiritual Life #5 - A Study of Romans 7-8
We live in a fallen world. All of creation, including Christians, are affected by sin and the curse. This causes all of creation to groan as we await our adoption as sons and daughters of God. The great hope we have is that one day, we will experience the glories of Heaven.
