Companies spend billions of dollars advertising things you “need” to have a more fulfilled life. Christians and Non-Believers alike take their messages to heart. Many work more hours while sacrificing their time with God, Family, Friends and for themselves to get more. It’s a vicious cycle. Jesus warns us in today’s passage to not let those things that you own, own you. Realize the destructive power of possession and make adjustments today! In Mark 10:13-31, Jesus reveals four roadblocks that can keep us from entering God’s Kingdom, experiencing His forgiveness, and fully embracing the abundant and eternal life Jesus offers. If you think you can come to God without dealing with these roadblocks, you’ll discover that “you can’t get there from here.”

Trusting Jesus Like Children - Mark 10:13-31
Shelbyville Christian Assembly
Children tend to be a lot of things; innocent, trusting, impressionable. And often these qualities make them uniquely qualified to be used of the Lord…As we'll see in our text today, children who wanted to get close to the Lord provided an object lesson for His disciples. Let's listen as we join Pastor Phil in Mark chapter 10.
We believe that we are called of God to teach the Bible line upon line and to equip the members of our church to love God and serve Him in a way that demonstrates His love to people.
Jesus' instruction to a young man to sell all and give the proceeds to the poor tested what was in the centre of the man's life. His refusal to follow the instructions of Jesus revealed that his love of success and riches was greater than his love for life. Success and riches are well able to keep us away from what is most important.

What is the biggest lie the church believes today?
