Generations Church Online | Pastor Jeremy Isaacs | GYTH Student Takeover by Generations Church
During Student Takeover Weekend, student Caden challenged the church to boldly share the hope of Jesus with the people around them and reminded us that the Gospel was never meant to be kept to ourselves. Through Scripture, personal stories, and practical encouragement, he showed that sharing our faith is less about having all the perfect answers and more about loving people enough to point them to Christ. Caden emphasized that every believer has a role in God's mission and that ordinary conversations can have an eternal impact when we are willing to step out in faith. He encouraged listeners to overcome fear, trust the Holy Spirit, and live with urgency in a world full of people searching for hope and truth. Ultimately, the message was a powerful reminder that God can use anyone—regardless of age or experience—to make a difference for His Kingdom.
During Student Takeover Weekend, student Cole delivered an encouraging message about remaining faithful to God even when the process feels long, repetitive, or uncertain. Looking at the story of Joshua and the battle of Jericho, he reminded the church that obedience often requires trusting God before we can see the outcome. Cole challenged listeners to keep following God faithfully day after day, even when it feels like nothing is changing, knowing that God is still working behind the scenes. Through passages in Joshua and Hebrews 11, he showed that breakthrough often comes after seasons of perseverance, courage, and unwavering faith. Ultimately, the message encouraged the church to stay strong, trust God's timing, and believe that He is faithful to fulfill His promises.
For Student Takeover Weekend, Student Pastor Wade Smith challenged the church to step into the next generation by getting involved in the lives of students and investing in what God is doing through Student Ministry at Cherry Hills Community Church. Through personal stories, heartfelt prayers for his daughter's future, and a powerful look at Ephesians 3:14–21, Wade reminded us that students are searching for identity, purpose, and a relationship with Jesus in a world full of confusion and pressure. He encouraged the church to move beyond simply attending and instead pray boldly, serve faithfully, and help students know God and discover who He created them to be. The message painted a compelling picture of what can happen when an entire church rallies around the next generation with love, consistency, and intentional discipleship. Student Takeover Weekend served as both a celebration of what God is already doing through students and a call for every generation to play a part in what He wants to do next.
During Student Takeover Weekend, student Anna delivered a powerful message about finding joy and hope even in the middle of life's hardest trials. Drawing from passages such as James 1, Romans 5, and 2 Corinthians 4, she reminded us that suffering is not meaningless but can shape perseverance, character, and a deeper faith in God. Through Scripture, personal reflection, and thoughtful apologetics, Anna encouraged listeners to trust God even when life feels painful, uncertain, or overwhelming. She pointed to both the promises of God's presence in suffering and the evidence of His design and faithfulness seen throughout creation and history. Ultimately, the message challenged the church to fix their eyes not on temporary struggles, but on the eternal hope and joy found in Christ.
Come and See John 1:43-51 We don't always grasp how good something is until we experience it ourselves. A famous landmark, a five-star restaurant, even a New York Times bestseller may be highly recommended, but you only know it's worth it once you've seen it for yourself. In the same way, Jesus invites His followers with a simple call: “Follow me.” Naturally, those who accepted Him couldn't keep it to themselves, so they passed the invitation along with three life-changing words: “Come and see.” Join us this Sunday for Student Takeover, as we hear from both Scripture and from the mouths of our students – young men and women who have responded to that same invitation, discovering the goodness of Jesus for themselves. Come and see what happens when God's children say yes to their King.
