In Week 3 of Overcoming Anxiety, Pastor Randy continues through Philippians 4 and looks at the connection between anxiety and the way we think. Paul tells us to intentionally think about what is true, noble, right, pure, lovely, admirable, excellent, and praiseworthy. But changing the way we think is often more complicated than simply “thinking positive.” Sometimes we've rehearsed a lie for so long that it has become an ungodly belief—shaping the way we see ourselves, God, and our circumstances. This message challenges us to recognize anxiety as a warning light and ask: What am I believing right now—and is it actually true? Overcoming anxiety isn't always one breakthrough moment. Failure happens.Sometimes life knocks us down. Sometimes we make the decision, say the words, or create the mess ourselves. In Week 1 of our Overcoming Anxiety series, Pastor Randy begins an honest conversation about worry, fear, and what happens when what we know is true and what we feel is true don't seem to match. Using Matthew 6:25–34, this message looks at Jesus' words, “Do not worry,” within their actual context and challenges the idea that anxiety automatically means we've failed spiritually. Rather than reducing real-life struggles to simple formulas, Jesus invites us into formation — becoming more like Him in the middle of what we're facing. The invitation is simple: come back to today. We don't have to carry tomorrow's problems before tomorrow arrives. We can trust our heavenly Father with what we cannot control and receive the grace we need for what is actually in front of us today. We don't need tomorrow's answers to trust God today.
