David Michael O'Quinn grew up in Western MA despite being the only black, gay kid in a mainly white, straight town. At 30 he decided to move to Boston and took baby steps into his lifelong dreams. First he dabbled in background acting, but ultimately completing the book he started when he was 17 "Who I Am and What I Want" (available on iTunes, Barnes & Noble Online, the Nook, Amazon, and the Kindle). He had been watching movies/TV shows since he was 11. "In the summer I usually see 2 movies per week. And I currently own close to 300 DVDs including series boxsets." In bringing his gift of gab to the masses as of November 2013 he joined both "Talk Soap" and "The Spilled Tea" as co-host. His passion for acting came from watching soaps which he began watching June 1992. "Guiding Light" was his favorite soap and from 2005-2009 he went to the Guiding Light Fan Club Luncheon with his mother. Meeting his idol Kim Zimmer inspired him. Since GL went off the air in September 2009 he's followed all the 4 remaining soaps on-air (Y&R, B&B, GH, and Days), and has been an avid fan of nuAMC online.
