Everything's bigger in Texas — including the laughs, confessions, and jaw-dropping stories on this outrageous new episode of Undressed with Pol' and Patrik, recorded live from the Warwick in Dallas with reality royalty LeeAnne Locken! Known for her fiery presence on The Real Housewives of Dallas, LeeAnne wastes no time diving into the drama — and neither do your fabulous hosts, Pol' and Patrik. From her obsession with espresso to her absolute ban on Dallas tap water, LeeAnne makes her diva standards hilariously clear — and throws major shade at Patrik's month-old plastic bottle habit. The water wars quickly turn into a full-blown roast as the trio trades stories about recycled germs, nightstand bottles, and who really drinks what at dinner. But the biggest surprise? LeeAnne reveals her gritty childhood spent traveling with the carnival — yes, the kind with rigged games, sketchy carnies, and duck pond booths. By age 11, she was a business-owning “carny queen” making bank off rigged soda bottle tosses and traveling from city to city with her mom. She shares chilling and hilarious tales of life behind the games, including a near-miss with a rattlesnake, and how cussing saved her life (and finally got her dad's attention). The journey continues from carnival chaos to the glitzy pageant world as LeeAnne shares how she became Miss Arizona USA, nearly competed alongside Shanna Moakler, and even caught the judging eye of Pol' back in the day. She opens up about representing Arizona during the Guy Rex era, training at the famed Robert Black Agency, and crossing over into the modeling world. Reality TV fans get an inside peek at LeeAnne's early reality stints, including She's Got the Look on the Style Network, where she was judged by Beverly Johnson and hosted by Kim Alexis. Her time on Star Search with Ed McMahon is equally juicy — and personal for Pol', who designed winning gowns for that very show. And just when you think it couldn't get any juicier, Pol' performs his signature Armenian coffee reading for LeeAnne — and the revelations are deep. From finally feeling peace in her life to someone from her past re-entering her orbit, LeeAnne reflects on letting go, forgiveness, and what it means to find new purpose. She opens up about her close relationship with her late grandmother, the Bible she keeps beside her bed, and her dreams that still connect them. We also get heartfelt moments about DIFFA (Design Industry Foundation Fighting AIDS), where LeeAnne has been a passionate contributor and advocate. She encourages listeners to support this meaningful cause — and we learn Pol' is designing a custom denim jacket for this year's gala! The episode wraps with tequila toasts, spiritual clarity, and of course, nonstop shade and sass — just the way we like it.

ELGIN CHARLES, known the world over as the “Emperor of Hair”, has been the proprietor of his upscale beauty salon in the heart of Beverly Hills for more than 25 years. The San Antonio, TX native can best be described as a scholar and creative genius; due in part to rearing from both his father, a biochemist, and his mother, an award-winning blues singer. Never one to rest on his laurels, Elgin decided to walk away from a highly successful career in finance at Smith Barney in his early 20s, in pursuit of his passion – hair! His innovative styles and techniques have generated widespread adulation. His client roster has included: Lala Anthony, The Kardashians, Joan Collins, Diahann Carroll, Drew Barrymore, Serena Williams, Gabrielle Union, Joy Behar, Estelle, Verdine White, Star Jones, Natalie Cole, Tia & Tamera Mowry, Baroness Monica von Neumann, and countless other notables. With a background in biology and chemistry from St. Mary's University, Elgin has developed his own signature line of luxury hair care products that fosters the needs of those with varying styles and types of hair. His principles for attaining one's beauty and life goals can be found in his top-selling book, Believe It, Conceive It, Achieve It. Now sitting atop the tonsorial heap, Mr. Charles continues to expand upon his globally recognized brand. Additional salon locations, a school of cosmetology, and an expanded product line are all in the works. Elgin Charles is an undeniable force and an icon in the multi-billion dollar beauty industry, with his sights now set on conquering the literary world. A uniquely triumphant and candidly unnerving read, his second book, By The Way, serves a completely raw depiction of a life lived fearlessly and out loud, despite the odds and the spiritual warfare raging within. Elgin and his ex-wife, television icon Jackée Harry, have a son together, Frank; a graduate of Beverly Hills High and an aspiring professional boxer. In addition to family, Elgin, a known philanthropist, is giving of his time and resources to a number of causes; chiefly, United Way, United Negro College Fund, Women's International Center, and Daughter's Of Power. Elgin is also a very giving performer, with his talents venturing far beyond the beauty industry. He has made appearances in Chris Rock's critically-acclaimed documentary Good Hair, the Style Network's Split Ends, countless talk shows, including Oprah, The View, The Talk, and Wendy Williams, and has even starred in his own top-rated VH1 docuseries, Beverly Hills Fabulous. If ever there were a person who represented both diversity and an exceptional business acumen, it would be Elgin Charles. In knowing this, Mr. Charles felt inclined to embark upon a mission that allows him to serve as a vessel for others to achieve greatness. He founded DIBS, the Diversity In Business Summit, solely for that reason. The annual event seeks to strengthen the presence of diversity and inclusion across all industries, end discrimination against underrepresented individuals in the workplace, and identify clearer paths to equal opportunities for all. Does where you live influence your style? And if it does, which has the better style - the East Coast or the West Coast? Obviously, we're not going to pretend to be able to settle this topic once and for all in a single podcast episode! However, we do explore whether regional style can truly exist in a world where retail chains offer the same items across the country, and around the world. To dig deeper into this topic, we've invited two experts, both Certified Stylists in the Everyday Style Network. Representing the West Coast is Morgen Peters, a wife and mother of four who's passionate about helping women create casual wardrobes that suit their current life phase. On the East Coast, we have Katie Valentine, who believes great style is about showing up rather than showing off. She equips her clients with the tools to embrace their signature style and build wardrobes that complement their lifestyle. We talked about things that would look out of place on each coast, as well as their closet staples, and of course, how to make the same merchandise we all have access to look individual and appropriate for any regional style. In other super exciting news, The Style Network Training program is coming back! The next round starts October 30, and we've updated the program so that you can take part wherever you are in the world! Plus, we've added four incredible bonuses to help you through the biggest roadblocks new business owners face. If you've ever thought a wardrobe styling business could be right for you, you owe it to yourself to take the next step to your dream career! Visit our new Style Network website for more details! In this episode: Katie and Morgen's different routes to becoming successful professional stylists Does where you live affect how you dress? Hear Katie and Morgen's definitions of East and West Coast style. The trends that Katie and Morgen are seeing in their respective areas Their Responses to a Style Advice Speed Round Katie and Morgen's experiences of being part of the Style Network and why they love helping women find their own style Don't forget, that our Fall Capsule Wardrobe is available now! This week we wrap up our summer series with a conversation I've been wanting to have for ages. It's honestly taken me a long time to get up the courage to ruffle some feathers in service of the greater good. In today's episode, I'm talking with Emily Paulson about direct sales - also known as network marketing, social selling, and multi-level marketing (MLM). Although it goes by a few different names, the principles are the same, and we're going to dig into how the business model really works. After being a completely unsuccessful consultant with 2 MLM companies, my goal with this episode just might be to have a little vindication…. This type of business model has left a negative impression on women in terms of what owning, and growing a business is all about. I sincerely believe that owning your own business is the best way to have it all, and it pains me to think women who want to start something of their own hold themselves back because of what they've experienced being exposed to this culture. If you're in a Direct Sales business, I really want you to hear me when I say that this isn't about you, the consultant, it's about the company and the business model as a whole. As we get ready to launch the Style Network again, I knew it was time to get over my fear of offending people and talk about this–in hopes that women who do want to start something of their own won't hold themselves back because they believe they have to follow a business model that just feels icky. Having a wildly successful business is possible. Speaking of which, if you've got an eye for style, a heart for serving women, and the desire to build a business of your own, the Style Network training and certification program could be just what you're looking for. Grab our free guide to 5 Things you Need to be a Successful Stylist and 5 things you don't. That will get you on the list when details come out for our next round. I would love to help you build something real and lasting. Join me for an enlightening look at multi-level marketing (MLM). I hope you find our conversation entertaining and informative–and if you've ever thought about starting your own business, I really hope this episode gives you a fresh perspective. Emily is the author of the book Hey, Hun: Sales, Sisterhood, Supremacy, and the Other Lies Behind Multilevel Marketing. In it, she shares the story of how she signed up for the sisterhood, free cars, and the promise of a successful business of her own. After making well over a million dollars at one of the top MLMs, she realized what she really had were burned bridges, broken friendships, and an unsustainable schedule. Now she's speaking out to spark change and bring a new perspective to the cultural epidemic of MLMs. In this episode you'll learn: What MLMs are and how they are different from Pyramid Schemes The link between personal development and the MLM model The ways the MLM model aims to exploit women's needs and pain points and what to watch out for Emily's best advice for any listeners who are working for MLMs Of course, if you're in a Direct Sales business, and you feel this doesn't apply to you, great! I'm talking about the MLM model, so if you want to DM me and let me know how your situation is different, I'm all ears! Full show notes and resources: https://youreverydaystyle.com/emily-paulson

I think I enjoy producing episodes like this because it provides me the rare opportunity to sit back and be an enthusiast again. A rare treat. As you will hear, Moya is an absolute pro on the mic so you will be hearing from her again, for sure. And her guests in this episode were recording live with Moya from the Moya Living showroom in Fountain Valley, California. Guests on this episode include: Huma Sulaiman, who comes with a remarkable story that begins with Huma in a career in tech. Huma's firm is an award winning endeavor and I think much of the reason she is so celebrated is due to her layered and thoughtful approach to the work. Next, you are going to hear from Jen Samson of Jen Samson Design. Jen too came from a different career prior to coming to design. One that included TV programming development for E! And the Style Network. This gave Jen a feel for “story” and she has taken that approach with her design work. To craft the narrative behind the work and make that a reality. Finally, you are going to hear from Laura Brophy of Laura Brophy Interiors. Brophy's subtle and sophisticated organic modern approach has allowed her to experiment with materials and play with environmental factors to craft unique spaces that promote a feeling of well-being. All four of these wonderful designers come to the work from different places and experiences. They differ greatly but all have at least one thing in common, an unwavering passion and belief in what they do. You cannot teach that, because it's not a skill, it's a choice. This was such a joy for me to listen to and enjoy with you. Thank you Laura, Huma and Jen for your time and talent. Thank you Moya for taking up the mic and absolutely crushing it! Thank you CXD partners ThermaSol, Moya Living and Design Hardware for your support. Thank you for listening, and subscribing to the show. CXD is now in our 10th year and we would not be here, I would not be doing this were it not for you. Thank you for your emails of support for the show and guest suggestions, I love them… keep em' coming. Finally, if you enjoy the show, and I hope you do, please share it with a friend so they can enjoy it as well. Until next week, be well and take today first.
