Brent Ashworth returns to Mormon Book Reviews to present another historical artifact for "Show & Tell"! On this episode Brent discusses how he was able to acquire one of William E McLellin's lost journal volumes. He reads some very moving passages in the journal. McLelllin became a bitter rival and enemy to Joseph Smith. However, his testimony of the Witnesses and the Book of Mormon later in life is one of the most powerful ones ever given. #lds #ldspodcast #mormonism #communityofchrist
In this lesson, Daniel and Fili discuss what the Lord means when he tells the early saints to "confound" their enemies and what how we should approach those that belittle, refute, or attack our faith today. They also discuss how the Lord does not want one's finances to be a barrier to access the blessings of the gospel and like William E. McLellin, even if we have moments of weakness, the Lord can still use our help to spread the gospel. They talk about infant baptism, the age of accountability, and what it means to us to have and know the consequences of our decisions.
