Isaiah 54:17: “‘No weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue which rises against you in judgment you shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is from Me,' says the LORD.” What a powerful promise! Let's lean into it today.

Ever since he was a boy, Joseph Smith faced critics—even enemies—as he tried to do God's work. But it must have been particularly difficult in late 1831 when Ezra Booth began publicly berating the Church, because in this case the critic was a former believer. Ezra had seen Joseph use God's power to heal a woman. He had been invited to accompany Joseph on the first survey of the land of Zion in Missouri. But he had since lost his faith and, in an attempt to discredit the Prophet, published a series of letters in an Ohio newspaper. And his efforts seemed to be working, because “unfriendly feelings … had developed against the Church” in the area (Doctrine and Covenants 71, section heading). What should believers do in a case like that? While there is not one right answer for every situation, it seems that often—including in this case in 1831—part of the Lord's answer is to declare the truth and correct falsehoods by “proclaiming [the] gospel” (verse 1). Yes, the Lord's work will always have critics, but in the end, “no weapon that is formed against [it] shall prosper” (verse 9).Ideas for Teaching ChildrenDoctrine and Covenants 71I can defend the truth by sharing my testimony.Doctrine and Covenants 72:2The Lord has called a bishop to help me.Doctrine and Covenants 75:3I can give my best effort to the Lord.

Send us a textHow Should we handle criticism of the Church?        Joseph Smith faced critics all of his life.  He was used to it from the non believers, but it must have been extra difficult when facing criticism from within the church and former members.  This week we discuss the falling away of Ezra Booth and his criticism of the prophet Joseph Smith.  We also talk about Newel K. Whitney, the 2nd bishop of the church called.  He had a few more instructions and direction given to him than did Edward Partridge.  Finally, we talk about sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ.  Join us this week as we continue to apply the principles we learn to from our study of come follow me to our personal lives.Support the Show!Become a "Patron Saint"!

June 30-July 6Joseph Smith was tasked by the Lord to do something rather unique for a backwoods, upstate New York farmer now living in Northern Ohio. The Prophet Nephi had seen a vision some two thousand four hundred years before that many of the plain and precious things which were in the Bible had been taken out by the great and abominable Church, and because those plain and precious things were taken away, “an exceedingly great many do stumble, yea, insomuch that Satan hath great power over them.” (See 1 Nephi 13: 26-29) This commandment from the Lord and branch of Joseph's calling would be to carefully go through the Bible and begin to restore many of those plain and precious things that were lost. He was commanded to translate the Bible. And the results would be astounding. We'll talk about this in detail in this episode.

Revelation Dates: December 1831 – January 1832 Revelation Places: Ohio (Kirtland, Hiram and Amherst) Section 71 - Historical Background: Joseph was engaged in translating the bible with Sidney Rigdon as scribe, but was interrupted by the Lord due to a wave of bitter feelings toward the church, partially because of a series of articles published in the Ohio Star newspaper, written by apostate Ezra Booth. Joseph and Sidney were called to cease translating and preach the restored gospel to the public and to the saints.   Recap: Joseph and Sidney are called to stop translating and preach the gospel for a season to the world and the mysteries of the kingdom to the saints. The church needs to be prepared to receive the Book of Commandments. No weapon that is formed against them will prosper. Section 72 - Historical Background: As Joseph Smith and Sidney Rigdon set out to preach the gospel among the public and the church (in fulfillment of the commandment given them in Section 71) they arrived in Kirtland, Ohio. Here, several members of the church assembled to learn their duty in the church and asked Joseph to inquire of the Lord.  Recap: It is expedient that a bishop be appointed in Kirtland, as there was appointed in Independence Missouri (Edward Partridge). Newel K. Whitney is called as the Kirtland bishop. Each steward in Kirtland will be accountable to their bishop. The duties of a bishop are outlined: to keep the storehouse, to receive funds, to administer to the saints – especially the poor and needy, and to pay church debts. Section 73 - Historical Background: In an effort to accomplish the commandment to preach the gospel (see section 71), Joseph became restless needing to know if they were doing what the Lord expected, especially in light of the upcoming church conference to be held 2 weeks later on January 25, 1832. Recap: Joseph and Sidney are to continue preaching and exhorting to the saints whenever possible, but should also resume translating the Bible. As they had set the example of preaching and exhorting, the elders of the church should continue preaching and exhorting as they had seen what Joseph and Sidney had done. Section 74 - Historical Background: As Joseph continues translating the Bible, they came across 1 Corinthians 7:14 where Paul counseled married couples when one was a member and the spouse was not. Did this make the children unworthy, as was traditional in the Jewish faith? Recap: The unbelieving spouse is sanctified by the believing spouse. Children should not be raised outside of the faith and should not follow the law of Moses or the wicked traditions of the unbelieving spouse. Little children are holy and come under the atonement of Christ. Section 75 - Historical Background: As the church conference began on January 25, 1832 in Amherst, Ohio, this revelation was given. Joseph was to be sustained and ordained President of the High Priesthood and many of the elders who had been previously called on missions were to be given their assignments. Recap: The elders that were called to preach must do so with all their might and they will receive great blessings. William E. McLellin is reprimanded and reassigned. Other elders are called on various missions with promises and assurances from the Lord. They are to bless or curse those they encounter. It is the duty of the church, as needed, to provide for the families of those serving missions.

Send us a textThe world teeters on the edge as Israel prepares for conflict with Iran, and American forces withdraw from potential danger zones across the Middle East. But beyond the headlines lies a spiritual reality we cannot afford to ignore. When Hamas terrorists murdered eight Palestinian humanitarian workers for distributing food aid in Gaza, they revealed the dark spiritual forces driving global conflicts. These aren't merely political disagreements—they stem from ancient spiritual battles. As believers, our perspective must transcend news cycles to recognize the spiritual warfare unfolding around us.Though evil appears ascendant, God's promises remain unshakable. "No weapon formed against you shall prosper" isn't just a comforting verse—it's a divine guarantee. Like ancient Israel who couldn't be cursed by Balaam despite enemies' intentions, believers today stand under spiritual protection that no darkness can penetrate. Jerusalem has indeed become "a cup of trembling" for the nations exactly as Zechariah prophesied, with world powers increasingly fixated on this small nation.America's unique position as the last major obstacle to complete globalism explains the intense spiritual assault on its foundations. The immigration crisis, social upheaval, and persecution of religious speech represent strategic attempts to neutralize Christianity's influence. Yet amid growing darkness, revival is stirring—particularly among young people across the UK and Europe.God always works on dual tracks: as darkness increases, so does light. Our challenge isn't to escape difficulty but to stand firm within it. "Having done all, stand," Paul instructs. We're called not to comfort but to courage—to be salt and light precisely when darkness seems overwhelming. This moment demands our witness, our discomfort, our faith. What if these aren't just difficult times to endure but our divine appointment? What if this is exactly where God positioned us to shine brightest? The path ahead may grow challenging, but take heart—our King is coming.Support the show

No Weapon #RTTBROS #Nightlight No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of me, saith the LORD. - Isaiah 54:17 (KJV) In this powerful verse, the Lord assures His faithful servants that no weapon formed against them will succeed. This promise serves as a shield of protection and a source of comfort for believers facing adversity. Consider the example of David, a humble shepherd boy, facing the mighty Goliath. In 1 Samuel 17:45, David declared, "Thou comest to me with a sword, and with a spear, and with a shield: but I come to thee in the name of the LORD of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom thou hast defied." Despite Goliath's formidable weapons, they did not prosper against David, who trusted in the Lord. Another example is found in the book of Daniel. When Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego were cast into the fiery furnace, the flames - a weapon of destruction - did not harm them. As recorded in Daniel 3:27, "And the princes, governors, and captains, and the king's counsellors, being gathered together, saw these men, upon whose bodies the fire had no power, nor was an hair of their head singed, neither were their coats changed, nor the smell of fire had passed on them." These examples remind us that when we place our trust in the Lord, He is faithful to protect us from the weapons of our enemies, whether physical or spiritual. Let us take comfort in this promise and stand firm in our faith, knowing that our righteousness comes from the Lord, and He will vindicate us against all accusations. Be sure to Like, Share, Follow and subscribe it helps get the word out. https://linktr.ee/rttbros

In May 1976, four terrorists hijacked an aeroplane as it took off from Athens airport. Most of the passengers were Israeli or Jewish. After a stop-off in Libya, the plane was flown to Uganda where, in front of the world's media, the next few days played out like some weird and unreal film. Would the Israelis comply with the terrorists' demands? Would the hostages be executed? Or – most unlikely of all – would the powers that be in Israel attempt a daring rescue mission? Those few days at Entebbe have been written about extensively since then. Films and documentaries have been produced, recounting these astonishing events. Many speak of the military daring and ingenuity of the Israelis. What they accomplished defied all logic. And yet few view this amazing event in the light of Bible prophecy. The Father promised to preserve His people. He stated openly that the might of the enemy would come to nought. That His children would survive, against all the odds. And for those with “eyes to see”, the Israeli soldiers' actions at Entebbe demonstrate this principle to be true for, as God has promised, “no weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper” Operation Thunderbolt, which took place in July 1976, was a daring rescue mission carried out by the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) to save Israeli hostages held by terrorists at Entebbe Airport in Uganda. While the operation displayed remarkable military precision and strategic planning, we can appreciate that divine intervention was key to the success of the mission. As detailed in this study, one can find many aspects within the event that could be seen as demonstrations of extraordinary circumstances aligning in favor of the rescue mission. The crisis began on June 27, 1976, when an Air France plane with 248 passengers was hijacked by members of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) and the German Revolutionary Cells. The terrorists redirected the aircraft to Entebbe Airport, where they held the Israeli passengers hostage while releasing non-Israeli passengers. Some notable elements include: Intelligence: The IDF obtained crucial intelligence about the location and layout of the airport, as well as the positions and capabilities of the terrorists. This information was instrumental in planning the mission and ensuring the element of surprise. Strategic Planning: Israeli forces meticulously planned and rehearsed the operation, taking into account the unique challenges they would face, such as the long distance from Israel and the need to navigate hostile territory. Internal and International Support: Israel's Prime Minister at the time, Yitzhak Rabin, displayed strong leadership and authorized the mission. Additionally, Israel received vital assistance from friendly nations, including the provision of old airport blueprints and refuelling support from Kenya. Speed and Precision: The IDF executed the operation with remarkable speed, allowing them to neutralize the terrorists, free the hostages, and evacuate them within a short timeframe. The precision of their assault minimized casualties and maximized the chances of success. Surprise and Decisiveness: The terrorists, as well as Ugandan dictator Idi Amin, were caught off guard by the Israeli raid. The element of surprise greatly contributed to the success of the operation. ******* This video was produced by the ChristadelphianVideo.org project, You can follow us online at.. #1 Our Main site... https://cdvideo.org #2 Our podcast on Podbean... https://cdvideo.org/podcast #3 Our podcast on Apple...https://cdvideo.org/podcast-apple #4 Our podcast on Anchor...https://cdvideo.org/truth-talk #5 Our facebook...https://facebook.com/OpenBibles #6 Our Whats App... http://cdvideo.org/WhatsApp #7 Our Instagram... http://cdvideo.org/Instagram #8 Our twitter... http://cdvideo.org/twitter Related to: No Weapon Formed Against Thee Shall Prosper https://youtu.be/aXIm79cOZIE

Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand." 6. John 10:28-29 (NKJV): "And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand. My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of My Father's hand." 7. Jeremiah 30:17 (NKJV): "For I will restore health to you and heal you of your wounds,' says the LORD, ‘Because they called you an outcast saying: “This is Zion; no one seeks her.”

No Weapon Formed Against You Will Prosper1 Samuel 2:4 “The weapons of the strong are smashed to pieces, while the weak are infused with fresh strength.”I decided to read the story of Hannah this morning. This month in mentoring the theme is Surrender. One of the videos I watched talked about Hannah and how amazing it was that she prayed to the Lord and then surrendered the outcome to the Lord. She also surrendered the fruit of those prayers to the Lord. I kinda knew the story of Hannah. I knew she wanted a baby and yet didn't have any children. I don't know if I knew that her husband's other wife taunted her often, but she did. One day, Hannah went to the temple and cried inconsolably. She cried out to the Lord, and she made a vow to Him that if He stopped neglecting her and gave her a son, she would give the son back to God unreservedly and completely.Hannah did conceive, and she had a baby boy. She named him Samuel, and when he was three, she brought him to the temple and gave her son to Eli to be dedicated to the Lord and to serve the Lord with Eli. After she gave her son over to the Lord, she prayed a beautiful prayer. Hannah was rejoicing in the Lord and celebrating his goodness. When I think about this, I wonder how she was able to be so happy.I understand being grateful to the Lord for conceiving a son, and yet she wasn't going to get to raise that son. That seems so sad to me. In the past, whenever I would think about this, I would wonder why it was so important for her to have a baby if she was never really going to get to see the baby. This morning God just revealed to me something that I didn't really think of before. In the age we are living in today, we know that there are many reasons why a woman might not be able to conceive. Back when Hannah lived, there was just one reason, and it was that God had kept you from conceiving. It doesn't say in the Bible why Hannah wanted to have a baby. It does say that the Lord kept her from conceiving. In 1 Samuel 1:4-7a, it says,  “On the day when Elkanah sacrificed, he would give portions to his wife Peninnah and to all her sons and daughters; but to Hannah, he gave a double portion, because he loved her, though the Lord had closed her womb.  Her rival used to provoke her severely, to irritate her, because the Lord had closed her womb.  So it went on year by year; as often as she went up to the house of the Lord, she used to provoke her.”It was customary for all to believe that if you couldn't conceive, it was because God didn't favor you or He had forgotten you. This could have been why it was so important for Hannah to have a child. She wanted to show everyone that God did not forsake her. She might have wanted to prove to everyone that she was favored by the Lord as well. It might have been less about being a mom and more about proving to everyone she was not forgotten by the Lord. It also could have been that she was tired of getting tormented each year by her husband's other wife. When we don't understand something in our lives, we can surrender it to the Lord and ask for His help. Hannah was being tormented by someone for something she had no control over. She cried out to the Lord, and He helped her. He heard her cry and answered her prayers. He can do the same for you.The verse above says, “The weapons of the strong are smashed to pieces, while the weak are infused with fresh strength.” This is from the message translation. It is from the prayer that Hannah prayed to the Lord after she dedicated her son to the Lord. She is stating that the weapons of the strong can't stand against the Lord. Her rival tormented her about being unable to conceive, and her words hurt Hannah very much. However, Hannah is a daughter of God, and so the weapons formed against her will not prosper. Instead, God gave Hannah the strength to keep going on day after day. He gave her the strength to go to the temple and pray that God take this burden from her.God can smash to pieces the weapons of your enemies, too. He can infuse you with a strength you didn't even know you had. We need to go to Him and ask Him, though. We can't just sit around in our misery and expect God to work. We need to ask Him, invite Him in and He will come in and help us. If you are struggling with something right now, if you need help right now, if you have prayers you really need answered, bring it to the Lord. You don't have to make a vow like Hannah did. Just cry out to the Lord and tell Him all that is on your heart. Don't hide anything from Him, as He already knows everything in your heart. When you cry out to Him, He hears your cries, and He will intervene. We are not alone in our battles. We are never alone in our battles. God is right there with us, fighting alongside us. Yet sometimes, we don't ask Him into the battle with us. He is a gentleman, and He wants to be invited in. If you want to fight your battle alone, He will be right there next to you, but He will let you fight it alone. If you want Him to fight alongside you, if you want Him to smash to pieces the weapons of your enemies, then invite Him into the fight. Give Him permission to work in your life, and then see what a difference there is when you invite Him in.Dear Heavenly Father, I ask you to bless everyone listening to this episode. Lord, we want you to fight with us. We are calling out to you today from the deep recesses of our hearts. We ask that you hear and answer our cries. Lord, many people are listening who have some pretty big requests, and they are looking for some pretty big answers. However, we know nothing is too big or too hard for you. We thank you for hearing our cries and for destroying all weapons formed against us. We are grateful you are for us and not against us. We are grateful you are a waymaker and a miracle worker. We love you, Lord, and we ask all this in accordance with your will and in Jesus's holy name. Amen!Thank you for joining me on this journey to walk boldly with Jesus. It is here now, this spiritual fight and the preliminary stages of the battle rage. The fight is with an enemy stealthy, sly, and determined. The enemy is an evil force, hateful, and determined to win this battle. It plots day and night to do just that. We, God's people, are in this fight, and it must be with all our might. This enemy, the army of Satan, has every weapon possible available in its arsenal. It is an enemy determined to wage war with conservative America and Christian America in the political arena. It will use every governmental power possible in the fight. It will pervert everything religious, especially true Christianity, to spread doubt and fear.It will control culture and seek to change customs, beliefs, priorities, and terminology. In this era of post-truth (no truth), the LIE prevails, and the enemy will use that viciously. Mankind will find it extremely difficult to know the truth which makes us free as Christians and conservative Americans. The enemy will use hate, viciously hateful themselves, but accuse people of faith of being hateful. This vicious anti-Christian enemy has and uses every weapon possible. But, my fellow Christians, they the enemy do not have the greatest weapon of all.WE DO. WE, THE CHRISTIANS, DO!And that weapon, which can never be defeated, is none other than the greatest force, the greatest power in this world, no less than:LOVE! LOVE!We, the believers, fight the fight of faith with love. With God. For we are told from childhood that:GOD IS LOVE.God loved us so much that He sent His son, Jesus Christ, to die for us. Mythological even comical to the enemy, but the ultimate reality for us who believe. So that, in this vicious spiritual battle against the enemy, Satan himself and his legions, we the Christian opposition:SHALL NOT BE MOVED.We have on, in the battle, the BREASTPLATE OF RIGHTEOUSNESS. We fight evil with what is right. We have from head to toe the armor of LOVE. No Weapon of the enemy can pierce that armor. We carry with us at all times the SWORD OF THE LORD. It bristles, it gleams with righteousness, and with love, and with truth. Even with this armor and carrying the sword of righteousness, we can run the race and win that race against the enemy. The power of love is just simply unbelievable, a weapon which can never, ever be defeated. We have no fear of our enemy, none at all. We look evil in the face and we say:I SHALL NOT BE MOVED!We know, with all our heart, mind, soul, and strength that the love of God in Christ:CONQUERS ALL!So that, even if any of us would lay down our life in the service of our Lord, and in the fight for our faith, we know that our Lord, our captain, our Savior, and His remaining army, will ultimately win the battle. We will never be afraid of, nor will we lose to, this Evil Enemy. The love of God in the fight of faith can never be beaten, NEVER!We his people look forward to the time when:THE POWER OF LOVE WILL REPLACE THE LOVE OF POWER!Then this world and this evil enemy will know defeat even as the LOVE of Christ will win this war of faith and peace like never before and will reign like never before. That really is the only way this enemy, Lucifer's Legions, can ever be defeated. LOVE, the ultimate weapon, is the only force which can defeat the Anti-Christ and everything thrown against the Christ and his people, and it will, it definitely will, not only defeat the enemy but win the battle and ultimately:TRANSFORM THIS WORLD.The Love of God in Christ is so powerful. The Love of God in Christ is eternal. It is the only thing we can carry with us when we die. Love makes the end so easy. Even on the battlefield of faith, if we die, love lives on, love lives long and eternal and it alone abides eternally along with faith and with hope. But the greatest of these, the greatest of all powers in this world, the weapon which will ultimately destroy the enemy is none other than:LOVE.So, we love our enemies when they persecute us, so says the scripture. We bless them, and we do good for them, our enemies, when they do the opposite to us. For we know that:GOD HAS NOT GIVEN US A SPIRIT OF FEAR BUT OF POWER,AND LOVE, AND A SOUND MIND. WE SHALL NOT BE MOVED.So, when the enemy comes after us with every weapon possible, we fight back with the only weapon we need:

Today's Promise: Isaiah 54:17 Every day, you are under attack. Every morning, Satan and his forces of darkness rise against you and your family. Satan will come against you with every weapon he can think of, and He will do everything He can to take you down spiritually. This promise declares that Satan's attacks are powerless before you. All his weapons are useless because the Lord Jesus protects you. You do not fear Satan because God is standing between you and the enemy. No accusation can wound you because the blood of Jesus has removed all your shame.
