This is my final podcast episode. On top of that, I'm shocked how much of my backlog I had to delete just to upload this. I thought I had another week before it became a free account, but I was wrong. So the podcast is over, it fell apart, after years and years, if not half a decade of my hard work... and no one cared and no one will miss it at all :( I really wish I could have attracted an audience... it's all I've ever wanted from life. Good luck to anyone who sees this. Please seek me out at 99geek.ca I'm desperate for any work as a writer, I'm desperate for anyone to give me a chance... I'm scared I'm going to die alone and unfulfilled... and no one in the world will care. Live Long and Prosper, May the Force Be With You, Long Live Marceline the Vampire Queen, and remember that Kong bows to no one, but Godzilla is the King of All Monsters.
No early release of Week 3 on 99geek.ca this week, between E3 distracting me, and my chance at the vaccine suddenly coming out of nowhere on Sunday... and then actually really effecting me and I felt awful all sunday and my arm still hurts a lot... So I'm gonna just have to work extra hard next weekend to write both weeks 3 and 4 to catch up :/ Sorry for the inconveniance. Also, if you are a fan of my video editions, or my podcast, now is THE time to make your voice heard because I will stop recording those at the end of the month. I'm going to start cutting back on what I do, downsizing 99% Geek a little. I don't think I'm good at hosting podcasts, but I do think there was value in the content I was providing. But from what I can tell no one else is getting that value from it... and it's been costing me a lot of money time and stress... so I think my writing will benefit from me ending the podcast... and maybe even parts of the geekly weekly if not eventually the whole thing. But we shall see, I'll downsize little bits at a time, and see where I feel comfortable. But if people show their support, I can find other ways to make it work. So speak up now... before it's too late. Let me know what parts of 99% Geek are valuable to you, so I know which parts to drop and which to focus on and improve. Previously on Royalty: There are few on Caldeenwho remember a time before the great flood, when a powerful alliance of nations ruled the world and had the ability to accomplish anything with magic. There was contentment throughout ALL the people of Caldeen. And from that contentment bred apathy. And through that apathy, inequality grew. Magic became a luxury for only those with power, and an hierarchy developed between the most powerful, the lesser powerful, and everyone else. The strongest began to call themselves Royalty. No one knows exactly which royal was the first to make contact with the demons of the lower plane. Only that they weren’t the last, and it was this tearing of the planar veil that invited with it the violent climate change that rocked Caldeen; bringing rising waters, and the collapse of all civilization as they knew it. Now only one landmass remained, a vast landscape with Caldeen’s last remaining forests and fertile land, only patches of which held up against the ravages of the end of the world. It is in those places the powerless of Caldeen hide and make their living, praying the day never comes that the higher and lower royals leave their flying nightmare city of Dunkelto cull the remaining villages. One such powerless man, Goldak Bailey, thought he had what it took to rise from his squalor, and become one of the haves. He thought he could contend with the likes of the Royals, and attempted to do business with them. However, when he chose to keep an item he had been tasked to collect by the higher royal Draxxia the Demonatrix, she sent lesser royal Marius to return her property. It was a vial of Medusa Potion, and one drop of it turned Goldak and his entire camp to stone. His family, Alison (Ali) Bailey and her father Durmon and brother Ronin, came upon the camp an unspecified amount of time later. Taking their uncle back to their hometown of Westali, to Ali’s mother and Goldak’s sister the once travelling warrior woman but since retired mom Marilyn (Lin) Bailey, the two women consulted Ali’s large library of books for a cure to Goldak’s petrification. They decided together to set off for a distant forest in search of a legendary Blue Precellion flower, not knowing that Draxxia had dispatched Marius to hunt down their family and end Goldak’s bloodline once and for all. ------------------------------------------------------- My name is Andrew Geczy and my brand is 99% Geek found at 99geek.ca I'm a writer, writing monthly chapters of novels like episodes of TV shows, releasing them in 4 weekly segments (a teaser and three acts) on Mondays on my Patreon page. Every month it's a different book, over a range of genres, and they sometimes even crossover and connect. At the end of the month the finished chapter is added to the PDFs attached at the bottom of every post. Finally, the finished books are self-published on Amazon. There's a Dark Fantasy story about a post-apocalyptic world where powerful royals rule and enslave the remaining peoples struggling to survive on the last remaining land mass. There's also a sci-fi story about a people on a dying world who have built a ship to a new one, but their project is almost brought down by a terrorist organization within their own ranks. Finally there's a crossover story where characters from my other books are brought into the distant future where the princess of a far advanced civilization, one that lives in a solar system sized mega-structure around a Dyson Sphere, needs help defeating her twisted power-hungry brother. And all these stories will be outside the paywall for all to enjoy as new episodes release weekly, and the finished chapters will be attached to the bottom of every post on the site in convenient PDF format readable on computers, tablets, ebook readers, and phones at the end of the month. But that's not all my stories. There's also Urban Fantasy tales about a teenage girl turned into a vampire against her will, or a scorned lover investigating paranormal phenomena, or a journalist covering news and politics in the Middle East. And there's a fantasy story about a fallen angel trying to stop the end of the world. All these stories are published and available on Amazon, and are also safe and sound behind the paywall in PDF format attached to an archive at the top of my Patreon page. Only viewable by subscribers, my entire library of work, thousands of pages worth, is easily accessible to every subscriber at any level. There's even a "Geekly Weekly" blog which covers all the news you may have missed over the week, as well as ranks the week's worth of television, and makes predictions on what new pop culture things might be in the public consciousness for the next week. It releases every Saturday at noonish. Finally I do Video Game streams both multiplayer matchmaking as well as single player campaign playthroughs. You can see me play games like Final Fantasy, Call of Duty, Hitman, and more. Watch them as they happen at twitch.tv/wingcommanderIV or wait till I release the recorded videos on days when I have nothing else to release. And you can see it all in one place. So stay tuned, and maybe subscribe. It's only a dollar and the support you show will go a very long way, I promise. There are also higher tiers. Give 5 dollars one month and you can name a character, or location, or suggest a thing you might want to see. Basically you get to give a noun, and then I promise to incorporate that noun into one of my stories somehow. Maybe not the same month you give the suggestion, but within three months guaranteed. No matter how crazy, you can't sabotage me. I promise. Think of it like a fun improv game. And you can keep giving nouns, for every month you pay at the 5 dollar tier. Or if you give 10 dollars, you don't get two nouns, but you can give a description to go with your noun. Describe the personality of your character, or the look of your location, or the importance of your item. For 10 dollars you get a noun and a description. You can also give a dollar towards supporting my efforts at Video Game streaming, or my weekly blog if that's more where your interests lie. And all subscribers at every tier will get early access to my writing, unedited but released a week early if you finish the current week and feel excited to find out what happens next. I'm as poor as it gets, living pay check to pay check (and sometimes starving). So I understand if you are too. I don't wanna take food out of your mouths. Your attention is enough. Say something, comment here or at the very least, follow me on Twitter @AndrewGeczy or Instagram @WingcommanderIV Remember to leave a review if you read one of my books, for any reviews on Amazon/Goodreads or subscriptions here or comments on social media will just encourage more people to check out my work and allow me to grow. PS: REMEMBER TO START WITH WEEK ONE FOR THE RECAP THIS IS NOT WEEK ONE Previously on Adrift Homeless: Rommeria is a dying desert world, in a one planet solar system surrounded by a nebula. The nation of Hymalious City has formed a conglomerate with the other nations of their planet to build a massive colony ship to the stars, known as Project Rebirth. General Ed Gilber leads the Rebirth project, and he’s found a civilian first officer in Doctor David Stanfield, roommate and long time best friend of recently recruited Emma Penman, newly appointed Chief Engineer of the project, a position previously held by her mother. It was upon recruiting the doctor, and helping science whiz Kathrine “Kat” Pross seek a rare unknown element in the deep desert, that war broke out between Hymalious City forces and a terrorist faction known as the Blazkor Nation lead by the ruthless tyrant Suma Davi’s. Her grandfather was a war criminal for genetic experiments he conducted on innocent people. The experiments included genetic modification to force compliance amongst the people of Blazkor. There were many losses on both sides but, with the help of her own daughter Tameka “Meka” Davi’s, Hymalious City was victorious in defeating Suma Davi’s’ army. Meanwhile, Emma’s kid brother Alec Penman, a talented computer hacker, came face to face with his dangerous abusive father for the first time since he was a baby, and was recruited to illicitly secure spots aboard the Rebirth. Little did he know he was securing spots for a Blazkor attack led by Suma Davi’s and what remained of her forces. Her men easily took the ship, and set it in a slow free fall towards the planet in a plan to wipe out all Rommerian life with one blow. It was only through the combined heroic actions of Emma, David, Kat, Tameka, Alec, as well as security chief Colonel John Adams and fighter squadron leader Lieutenant Sara Mikkelsthat they were able to retake the ship and stop it from plunging into the planet below. Though the disaster was averted, and Tameka’s mother Suma was defeated for the last time, John suspects General Gilber might have had more to do with the attack than he’s letting on, and the colonel is determined to get to the bottom of it. He’s not going to let their prior mentor/protégé relationship get in the way of finding out the truth. --------------------------------------------------------- My name is Andrew Geczy and my brand is 99% Geek found at 99geek.ca I'm a writer, writing monthly chapters of novels like episodes of TV shows, releasing them in 4 weekly segments (a teaser and three acts) on Mondays on my Patreon page. Welcome to 99% Geek presents a weekly geeky blog I am your host, and writer behind 99geek.ca Andrew Geczy. As primarily a fiction writer, releasing chapters of my books in weekly chunks on my Patreon like episodes of TV shows when I'm not trying to make ends meet in what feels like a poverty nightmare, I wanted my brand (99% Geek) to offer more than just my writing, pulling from my many interests and passions. I don't have much to offer in the way of talent, besides my writing, but I'm passionate about pop culture, and try to keep myself as up to date on politics, science, and art as I can. Being a huge TV nerd I run down the best shows of the week, go over all the major news headlines for people who have maybe gotten too tired to follow regular news breaking it down and explaining it for people who might feel unable to follow along, and before anything else I spotlight something cool and geeky for the week. PREVIOUSLY ON 99% GEEK AT 99GEEK.CA Rachel Lin Smith was just a shy teenage girl until she was turned into a vampire against her will by an evil serial killing monster. She managed to escape from his perverted clutches, and with the help of her geeky friends she has tried to re-acclimate herself to her old quiet suburban life. But it was no use. Try as she could to hide, it didn’t matter. Trouble had a way of finding her. So she chose to fight back. Chose to train her abilities and find a confidence in herself to stand up to the people that threaten not just herself, but also threaten the people around her, the whole city, and even the world. She has had to contend with gangs of feral child vampires, cults of magic worshipping terrorists, and even fought a giant robot. She was captured by the cult, separated from her friends and her enemies tried to turn her into a damsel in distress. They failed, and she destroyed their headquarters from within before reuniting with her friends. Her signature weapon is a sword, forged by a blacksmith practicing an ancient art. The sword has been imbued to draw power from love, something Rachel is in no short supply of, stuck in the middle of a romantic threesome between her best friend and the most popular girl in school. Meanwhile, on a world far far away, in another galaxy even, Frankie was just an orphan girl who never had a last name, recruited by a guild who preyed on people like her, vulnerable children with no one to look after them. She was trained by the Thieves Guild to be amazing at what she does, and forced to commit crimes in their name. Her loyalty didn’t prevent their betrayal, and she was given to the guards of her city to be locked away. She managed to escape, with a new friend she made in the dungeons, a man with amnesia who is kind and respectful, but strong. With his help, and that of a disgraced guard, she has been seeking to get revenge on the guild that betrayed her, going so far as to face off against the guild’s leader in single combat on the roof of a tower. She was defeated and left for dead, and still hadn’t yet shook off that defeat as she laid down upon her friend’s couch that night and closed her eyes to sleep. Perchance even to dream. Her signature weapon is her leather jacket, magically imbued to be able to produce infinite knives from her sleeves. They are from different worlds. One is a world not so different from our own. The other is a medieval fantasy world the likes of which we imagine in Dungeons and Dragons campaigns. Neither woman knows each other’s world exists. But they are about to. I can't do it without your efforts. That's three different ways you can help. Write reviews on any site that lets you, subscribe here for as low as a dollar, or at the very least use your voice to let me and the world know you like what you read here. PS: I spend the first 5 minutes complaining about how shitty my life is. Sorry for that, it's been a rough day. Feel free to skip ahead to the story if you want, I do get to it eventually. This is week 3 of 4. You don't have to start at the very beginning of every book, but you might at least want to start at the beginning of the chapter with week 1 for the recap. Finally I do Video Game streams both multiplayer matchmaking as well as single player campaign playthroughs. You can see me play games like Final Fantasy, Call of Duty, Hitman, and more. I'm as poor as it gets, living pay check to pay check (and sometimes starving). So I understand if you are too. I don't wanna take food out of your mouths. Your attention is enough. Parental Warning: There may be extreme graphic content, both sexual and violent in nature. Listener Discretion is advised. Also Week 1 has been fixed. I didn't know there was an issue, and couldn't have known unless I tried to download it myself. Or if someone had told me. Anyway, it was deleted and reuploaded so it should work now. Just some dumb glitch. This is week 4 of 4. You don't have to start at the very beginning of every book, but you might at least want to start at the beginning of the chapter with week 1 for the recap. HIGHLIGHTED PASSAGES FROM THE PAGES OF ALISON’S FAVOURITE BOOKS Things today aren’t as they once were. There are few on Caldeen who remember a time before the great flood. A time with land aplenty, a world made up of nine unique continents connected by trade and commerce. Not just of goods, but of culture, and art, and magic. We were a prospering human society, a powerful alliance of nations that had the ability to accomplish anything and last a million years. People were happy, and not just the very richest. There was contentment throughout ALL the people of Caldeen. And from that contentment bred apathy. And through that apathy, inequality grew. Magic became a luxury for only the most powerful, and soon the powerful were even keeping their tricks from each other. Always trying to one-up one another in a rivalry that expended destructive energies, the likes of which laid waste to the land, they remained ignorant to the damage and suffering they were causing even as the rest of society collapsed around them. An hierarchy developed between the most powerful, the lesser powerful, and everyone else. The strongest began to call themselves royalty. No one knows exactly which royal was the first to make contact with the demons of the lower plane. Only that they weren’t the last, and it was this tearing of the planar veil that brought with it the violent climate change that rocked our world; bringing rising waters, and the collapse of all civilization as we knew it. Now only one landmass remains, a vast landscape with our planet’s last remaining forests and fertile land, only patches of which held up against the ravages of the end of the world. It is in those places the powerless of Caldeen hide and make their living, praying the day never comes that the higher and lower royals leave their flying nightmare city of Dunkel to cull the remaining villages. So few are left. And there are less with every rotation Caldeen makes around the sun. - excerpt from “Caldeen: A History” by Nyles (The Grass) Tyrson. --------------------------------------------------------- My name is Andrew Geczy and my brand is 99% Geek found at 99geek.ca I'm a writer, writing monthly chapters of novels like episodes of TV shows, releasing them in 4 weekly segments (a teaser and three acts) on Sundays on my Patreon page. Remember you can follow along by going to patreon.com/99geek This is Geekly Weekly Number 88 And this week's highlight is: The Weeknd ----------------------------------- My name is Andrew Geczy. My brand is 99% Geek found at 99geek.ca I'm a writer, writing monthly chapters of novels like episodes of TV shows, releasing them in 4 weekly parts (a teaser and three acts) on Sundays on my Patreon page at patreon.com/99geek At the end of the month the finished chapter is added to the PDFs attached at the bottom of every post. Finally, the finished books are self-published on Amazon. There's Urban Fantasy tales about a teenage girl turned into a vampire against her will, or a scorned lover investigating paranormal phenomena, or a journalist covering news and politics in the Middle East. There's a sci-fi story about people on a dying world trying to build a ship to a new one. There's a fantasy story about a fallen angel trying to stop the end of the world. And there's more coming. And it's all attached to the bottom of every post on the site in convenient PDF format readable on computers, tablets, ebook readers, and phones. I also have a Geeky Weekly Blog and host video game playthroughs and matchmaking streams on Twitch and eventually post them on my Youtube and Patreon pages. Maybe not the same month you give the suggestion, but within one cycle of books guaranteed. No matter how crazy, you can't sabotage me. I promise. And you can keep giving nouns, for every month you pay at the 5 dollar tier. Or if you give 10 dollars, you don't get two nouns, but you can give a description. Describe the personality of your character, or the look of your location, or the importance of your item. For 10 dollars you get a noun and a description. You can also give a dollar towards supporting my efforts at Video Game streaming, or my weekly blog. If you don't want to subscribe on Patreon, you can also give at paypal.me/99geek and for a limited time the same rules about suggesting a noun apply there, you can write it below your very contribution. I'm as poor as it gets, living pay check to pay check (and sometimes starving). So I understand if you are too. I don't wanna take food out of your mouths. Your attention is enough. PS: Sorry it wasn't letting people download... the podcast host had glitched out, everything was looking fine on my end. Someone should have said something. This is week 1 of 4. And all these stories will be outside the paywall for all to enjoy as new episodes release weekly, and the finished chapters will be attached to the bottom of every post on the site in convenient PDF format readable on computers, tablets, ebook readers, and phones. Finally I do Video Game streams both multiplayer matchmaking as well as single player campaign playthroughs. You can see me play games like Final Fantasy, Call of Duty, Hitman, and more. This is week 4 of 4. You don't have to start at the very beginning of every book, but you might at least want to start at the beginning of the chapter with week 1 for the recap. PREVIOUSLY ON DAKOTAH SLADE PARANORMAL/DETECTIVE: Dakotah Slade is a broken love-lorn woman who has spent her life falling for the wrong kinds of men. Men who use her, dominate and abuse her, then leave her when they’ve had their fill. Her most recent failed relationship was with a dangerous man named Cale. Wallowing in her grief and self-pity, she spent months at her favourite bar on an alcoholic bender spending what little money she had left, until one day her friend stepped into the bar and spontaneously combusted. Now she’s teamed with similarly “broken” rookie detective Anderson Richards to get to the bottom of a new threat in their city of Mississauga Ontario Canada. Officer Sara Warley, on the verge of being promoted to detective herself, was cut off from her promotion when Anderson was awarded it for revealing corruption in the third precinct. He was given the option to take her on as his partner, but after his first partner tortured him and left him for dead, he’s been unable to trust again. Trying to redirect her frustration, Sara has been busy working with Precinct Two and helping Detective Jian deal with controlling the crime families of Mississauga. Anderson and Dakotah’s investigation turned up that the victim had ingested some kind of glowing drug and were led to his dealer, a large man named Gareth. Together they were able to take him down and drag him back to the precinct where they got their “brain train” to analyze drug samples, finding the pills to defy the laws of physics and share certain traits with a recently auctioned space rock bought by the mayor of the city. They visited the mayor, who gave them an unbelievable tale of magic, a once ancient force in the world long gone extinct, and of a cult who want to bring it back. Returning to their prisoner, Gareth gave them the address of his supplier, and the duo went to investigate without any back up. They found the Tempus Cult at the address packing for a move. Anderson and Dakotah confronted the cultists, and were caught in the building as it exploded around them. Sara, with the help of the mayor and her magic powers, were able to free Anderson and Dakotah. While buried, the two had shared stories about their past, Anderson coming clean about his past partner the corrupt and toxic Rick Jaegger, but Dakotah remaining cagey about her history with Cale. Upon getting free, Dakotah spotted Cale in the crowd and chased him to a rooftop where he kissed her before disappearing and leaving her behind in a mess. The next day Anderson confronted Dakotah about her ex, and she finally explained her traumatic past, revealing drunkenly in an alley that she still had feelings for Cale. Meanwhile, across the city, Sara and Detective Jian were surveilling a meet between the heads of all the gangs of the city when the meet was interrupted by Cale. He slaughtered everyone in the room, with the help of a shooter across the street. A shooter with a sniper rifle capable of seeing and firing through solid objects. A shooter who was none other than Anderson Richard’s old partner Rick Jaegger. ----------------- My name is Andrew Geczy. This is week 1 of 4. PS: Near the end, I talk about a guy who wanted to look into my stuff and started criticizing my podcast, and telling me how I needed to put more work into it. I then got derailed discussing how it's a lot of work for me on my own, and I don't really have any more to give in this regard. Concerning podcasts, It's not my focus or my passion, it fills me with anxiety to do. I'm a personality, naturally, so I'm not like playing a role, but it's still a lot for me. And I have nothing left to give. That said, the way the guy was talking, he made it seem like my podcasts are unlistenable. Spoken too fast to even understand (I often do speak fast, but I assumed people would rather that than me waste their time) and he almost immiedately gave up and started reading my stuff instead. So my question is, is my podcast that unlistenable? Should I stop wasting my time and energy with this (I don't know if I mean the Geekly weekly blog and podcast, or just the podcast blog and audiobook). I feel liek this is important. And discussing the news and stuff is important... but it's only important if other people are too, otherwise I'm stressing myself out every week to spend two hours talking to myself... which is exactly what I'm doing. Anyway... I'm just saying, if it's as unlistenable as he claimed, then maybe my energies would be better served elsewhere. Feedback on this would be greatly appreciated, if there is anyone out there listening at all... This is week 4 of 4. You don't have to start at the very beginning of every book, but you might at least want to start at the beginning of the chapter with week 1 for the recap. PREVIOUSLY ON ISABOL TSEUNG VOICE NEWS: Isabol Tseung is a reporter for Voice News; the most stubborn, tenacious reporter the upstart Canadian based international news network has ever known. Focused on bringing the people the honest truth, without all the bullshit, Voice News does things a little differently from other news outlets. And Isabol is showing them the way. She’s uncovered stories of feral child gangs, and corrupt American presidents. She stands up to authoritative figures and is a voice for the victimized and powerless of the world. And when she received a text from an old university peer drawing her towards the story of a lifetime in Iraq, well, of course she was going to accept. With Australian philanthropist dude-bro Greg Beckett as her cameraman and translator, she bullied her editor in chief into buying two tickets onto the next flight into the Middle East. Arriving in Mosul, one of the cities most affected by the fight against ISIS, they made friends with the struggling locals including a man named Aram, and his grown son Ahaim. They also met a boy named Muhammed whose parents had died in the chaos. It wasn’t long before they were taken by the Iraqi government and given an exclusive interview with the prime minister. The man allowed Isabol to continue her investigations but with a warning that she wouldn’t like what she found. Touring the city with Aram, she and Greg uncovered a no-go zone and the freshly discarded corpses of civilians rounded up by the military. Greg was meaninglessly killed by the cruel Iraqi soldier Omar, and Isabol was taken prisoner and tortured. She would have died were she not rescued by a warrior woman named Alia, leader of a resistance fighter group that knew the now deceased Suzie, the university friend who had set Isabol on this mission in the first place. They escaped the city to a secret resistance base where a ceremony was taking place to honor the dead. During that ceremony, Aram and Ahaim were interrogated, Aram being mortally wounded before revealing the location of the resistance base. The military attacked the base during the ceremony, and Alia’s team (consisting of Hasan, Naeem, Yasheesh, and Ayaan) managed to hold them off, but they know their victory to be a hollow and temporary one. Their base was no longer a safe space for them. ----------------- My name is Andrew Geczy. Welcome to 99% Geek presents a weekly geeky blog I am your host, and writer behind 99geek.ca Andrew Geczy. As primarily a fiction writer, releasing chapters of my books once a month on my Patreon like episodes of TV shows when I'm not working nights in a poverty nightmare to make ends meet, I wanted my brand (99% Geek) to offer more content that might keep people coming back. I don't have much to offer, besides my writing, but I'm passionate about pop culture, and try to keep myself as up to date on politics, science, and art as I can. Being a huge TV nerd I run down the best shows of the week, go over all the major news headlines for people who have maybe gotten too tired to follow regular news breaking it down and explaining it for people who might feel unable to follow along, and before anything else I spotlight something cool and geeky for the week. Sorry about the bad audio. My Laptop wont recognize my Mic so I've been stuck using my built in laptop mic. I started recording in OBS though, because it has filters that let me tweak the sound, and I'll keep tweaking over the coming weeks till it sounds as good as it could sound, or I buy a better mic. Also since at this point using OBS it would be harder not to record video of my reads, those will be on youtube. I was going to make a move like this for Phase 3, we're just making the change early, and giving ourselves time to get it right before the fresh new stories. This is week 1 of 4. PS: My laptop wont read my mic anymore, and after trying everything, all I could get working was my awful Laptop Mic. Which sounded better when recorded through OBS, so I recorded my first video podcast because it would have literally been harder not to. If the audio is really bad, let me know and I'll seek out a better mic. Welcome to 99% Geek presents a weekly geeky blog I am your host, and writer behind 99geek.ca Andrew Geczy. This is week 4 of 4. You don't have to start at the very beginning of every book, but you might at least want to start at the beginning of the chapter with week 1 for the recap. PREVIOUSLY ON THE ALDONN CHRONICLES: Frankie was a simple orphan thief who never had a last name, a member of a guild that preyed on people like her, vulnerable people without anyone to look after them. They took her in, and trained her to be amazing at what she does, but they then betrayed her to the guards and had her locked away. It was in prison that she met a strong blonde man by the name of Aldonn, a man without any memory of his past. Together they escaped back to the capitol city of Capsin, where they’ve teamed up with a disgraced guard named Edward, disgraced for sleeping with the King’s daughter Princess Penelope, and they have been working with him to slowly bring down the guild that betrayed Frankie, and stop their power hungry leader Lee Durgens with a little help from Frankie’s old guildmates Richter and Sean. Meanwhile King George, ruler of Capsin and the surrounding country of Memroxia , has been getting increasingly frustrated as his kingdom has continued to stagnate. Diplomatic relations have been falling apart, and he’s decided to turn to the wisdom and guidance of the Mage Council. However, Princess Penelope believes the mages have a secret agenda of their own, and that they might not have her father’s best interests at heart. When she learned, alongside Frankie, that Lee was turning his attention to the Mage Council, they both entered the Mage Tower with warnings of an impending attack. Their warnings we’re not taken seriously, except by an apprentice named Calvin. Ordered by his master Elmeiser Ducard to watch the Princess, he instead helped Penelope shut down a sex trafficking ring involving children and love potions, rescuing prisoners that included Leah Ducard, daughter to Calvin’s master and a burgeoning mage in her own right. But while Calvin was rescuing his master’s daughter, Master Elmeiser was experimenting with a legendary amulet he’d stolen from the Thieves Guild. An Amulet that guild leader Lee Durgens wanted back. With the help of disgraced mage Dawson they have been able to infiltrate the mage tower along with his loyal sister August Durgens, his second in command Bart Napier, and a squadron of his loyal men. Lee managed to confront Elmeiser just as his men set off an explosion that has sent the tower into chaos. ----------------- My name is Andrew Geczy. PS: Lol, I don't think I finished my last thought before ending the show. I remember bringing up dating apps, then got distracted talking about why I'm leaving them, but I brought them up because I noticed that a lot of people have been postign that they are bored due to the quarantine. And I just don't get that. In my opinion, there is so much amazing content out there in the world to experience, all available to you with the power of the internet from your very couch. Thousands of shows, movies, video games, comic books, novels. There is so much on my list of things to get to that I could never get to it all in an entire lifetime. So how can anyone possibly be bored? It blows my mind. If you're bored, don't be content in your boredom is all I'm saying. Seek out stimulation, because it's out there, so much of it, just for you. This is week 2 of 4. This is week 4 of 4. You don't have to start at the very beginning of every book, but you might at least want to start at the beginning of the chapter with week 1 for the recap. Previously on Adrift Homeless: Rommeria is a dying desert world, in a one planet solar system surrounded by a nebula. The nation of Hymalious City has formed a conglomerate with the other nations of their planet to build a massive colony ship to the stars, known as project Rebirth. Only one nation opposes them, and that’s the nation of Blazkor, a terrorist nation lead by the ruthless tyrant Suma Davi’s. Her grandfather was a war criminal for genetic experiments he conducted on innocent people. The experiments included genetic modification to force compliance amongst the people of Blazkor. Little did anyone know he also conducted experiments in human evolution and life extension through the use of technology and cybernetics. After Suma’s failed coup, she was killed and her body was brought to a hidden sand palace where she was given new life through her grandfather’s cybernetics, coming face to face with a digital version of her grandfather after having been estranged following his death decades earlier. General Ed Gilber leads the project Rebirth, and he’s found a civilian first officer in Doctor David Stanfield, roommate to the recently recruited Emma Penman, newly appointed Chief Engineer of the project, a position previously held by her mother. It was upon recruiting the doctor, and helping science whiz Kathrine Prossseek a rare unknown element in the deep desert, that war broke out between Hymalious City forces and the Blazkor Nation. There were many losses on both sides, but Hymalious City was victorious, defeating Suma Davi’s’ army. Emma’s kid brother Alec Penman, a talented computer hacker, came face to face with his dangerous abusive father for the first time since he was a baby, and was recruited to illicitly secure spots aboard the Rebirth. Little did he know he was securing spots for a Blazkor attack led by Suma Davi’s on the Project. Her men easily took the ship, and have set it and everyone on it in a slow free fall towards the planet in a plan to wipe out all Rommerian life with one blow. ----------------------------------- My name is Andrew Geczy.
